For over six years he hasn't been home. He did not visit because he did not really want to look back. Did he miss his sister? Yes he did. But she herself was also busy. Always on a new mission. They tried to call each other at least once a month but sometimes they could not. She would always tell him when she would be on a longer mission. But this time? This time she only told him that she would not be able to contact him for a few days. But for over six weeks he did not hear anything of her. He started to get a little bit worried about her. He checked his phone again to see if he missed a call. Still nothing. He just tried to call her like an hour ago but with no success.

A quick but also small pain on his head took him out of his thoughts followed by an "Something more important than our case?"

"No boss" he said and put his phone away.

"New love interest?" said something from the desk next to his.

"Stop it DiNozzo" said Kate. "Jealous?" asked Tony with a smirk on his face.

"Are you three done yet?" asked Gibbs and starred at them.

"Yes boss, sorry boss" they said and continued on with their work day. Still Ari Haswari had just one thing in the back of his mind. His sister Ziva David. Neither Ari nor Ziva cared that they where only half siblings since Ari started to live with them full time after his mother died. Rivka, who was Zivas mother always treated him as one of her own children. Even more after their youngest sister Tali was killed.

Just a few weeks after her death Ari head to leave for England to study medicine. He had to do it because it was his fathers which. Ari did not want to leave Ziva behind but he had to.

Ziva was always the sporty one even though she was also brilliant but Ari always learned even faster so he had to study and she had to be the strong solider. He hated his father for what he forced them to become.

During his time in England the siblings grew a little bit apart but after Zivas mother died their bond was stronger then never. From that day on they swore to always look out for each other and take care of one another. Even now when they where thousands of miles apart.

So of cause he was worried about her. Knowing that he would get not even one little information from their father if he would ask him Ari decided to call an old friend at Mossad, where he also once worked before coming a liaison officer with NCIS and ask him a favor.

As he was ready to leave for the day and packing his things Kate was leaning on his desk blocking his way.

"Are you alright?" she asked worried about the man who became not only her partner six years ago but also turned out to be a great friend.

"Yes why?" he asked her looking at her but still packing his belongings.

"You look a bit worried and where somewhere else today." she said.

"It is nothing Kate really" he said.

"If you think so" she said and stared to leave for the elevator.

Ari really wanted to talk with Kate but this was Mossad business and not NCIS so he kept it to himself. Of cause his colleagues, his friends knew that he had a sister but besides that he liked to keep that topic more of a secret.

When Ari finally arrived at his apartment he called his friend and asked him to get some information about her last mission and where she was. The only thing he had to do for now was waiting.

As one day turned into two Ari was even more worried when suddenly in the middle of McGee telling them something about the files on the victims computer his phone rang. It was his friend. Everyone looked at him. Gibbs of cause was annoyed about the phone and his look told him that he should turn the call down but he could not. This was way more important to him than anything else. This was about Ziva. His sister. The last one from his biological family he saw a family.

"I have to take this" he mumbled and went way not caring that Gibbs was angry about him right now. "Ari" he heard Gibbs calling still he went away.

"What do you have for me „asked Ari skipping everything else.

"Shalom to you too Ari" the friend said. "Zivas last mission was in Somalia with Rivkin"

"How I hate that guy" mumbled Ari. He came back last week with no sign of Ziva but he was injured. I tried to talk with him about it but the only thing he said that the mission had to me accomplished nothing else. I was able to take a look at the mission she just had to take out a terrorist so she should already be back. So something must have went wrong. Your father is kind of acting like she never existed like she" "Don't say it" warned Ari. "She is not... he could not even say the word. I would know if you was".

"Then they must have taken her. She must have been caught. „said the friend. "I will take the next plane and look for her. I have to save her" said Ari with panic in his voice.

"You know you can't do that Ari. Your father will not be happy about that."

"I don't care what Eli thinks this is about Ziva. My sister."

"I know that Ari but."

"No but" said Ari getting angrier with every second.

"Ari be patient" he said.

"How can I be patient when my sister is missing for already six weeks?" she could be injured, taken hostage, tortured, d... I can't stay calm".

"We will find a way to handle the situation Ari. Don't do anything stupid ok?"

"But"

"No but Ari. You can't help Ziva when you are getting into trouble yourself." said his friend.

"You are right" said Ari. He started to be calmer which doesn't mean that he was not worried anymore.

"Thank you for your help" said Ari. "Call me when you have more information or a plan yes?".

"I will Ari" said the friend.

Both hung up and Ari stayed a second longer at the place he was just because he had to take a deep breath. How are legs working again?

It almost felt like loosing Tali again but this time there was no Ziva who understood him and who he could hold onto.

Well he hoped no he knew that she was still somewhere out there but he did not know in which condition.

After one last deep breath he started to make his way back to his team. A little voice at the back of his head started to appear and made him realize that Gibbs was going to be angry. Really angry.

As soon as he walked around the corner he heard Gibbs saying "Haswari my office know". Gibbs was walking towards the elevator followed by Ari. Before the doors closed Ari saw DiNozzo making a grimace which probably fits with the situation.

Gibbs waited until the doors closed to push the stop button. The elevator came to a stop and the lights switched.

Gibbs turned to face Ari and said "What the heck was that Haswari?"

"Nothing" said Ari through gritted teeth staring towards the door so he did not have to look at Gibbs.

Over the years Gibbs was more then just a boss for Ari he was more like a father. A way better father then Eli could ever be.

"Hey look at me Haswari and tell me what made you leave in the middle of the investigation. Now."

Ari still being agitated from the whole situation just said "I said it was nothing Gibbs".

Gibbs new that there had to be more behind the whole situation and that he would not get anything out of Ari right now.

"Come to me when you are ready to talk" said Gibbs and turned the elevator back on.

He knew that Ari had his own way with dealing with his emotions. It had gotten better over the years so this has probably something to do with Eli, Aris father and director of Mossad. The way he acted was like he would always act when he got upset because of Eli.

Knowing that Ari trusts him and will turn to him when he needs an advice Gibbs let go of it for now. Over the years he saw Ari as a son. And he knew that Ari saw a father figure in him. From what he heard about Eli that was no wonder. That man should not be allowed to call himself a father.

When the doors opened again both left the elevator.

"You still alive?" asked DiNozzo followed by a sharp pain when Gibbs hit his head and a "Shut up or I will make you" from Ari.

"Thank you boss" said Tony and all of them started to work again.

That night Ari was not able to sleep. Every time he tried to close his eyes he thought about what his sister might be living through right now.

Ari gave up trying and changed his clothes and put his sports stuff on.

Even through Eli always forced them to go on a run Ari started to actually like them. He could clear his mind on a long run and get focused again. Running without an actual starting point in his head he started to realize where he was heading to when he turned into Gibbs street.

When entering Gibbs house Ari was heading directly into the basement where Gibbs spent most of his free time.

"Are you ready to talk?" asked Gibbs without a greeting.

"I don't know" said Ari while making his way down the stairs.

"Then at least make yourself useful" said Gibbs and threw some sanding paper toward Ari.

Ari caught the sanding paper and stared to help Gibbs working on the new boat.

They worked together side by side for a little bit when Ari started to talk.
