So it's been a while, thought I'd update this and actually finish it look forward to the new twists and turns...

Swanqueen prompt: Regina gets a little too drunk at Granny's. Robin tries to stop her drinking, but Regina gets angry/ emotional (about him going back to his wife) Emma steps in and can get Regina home, once home Regina doesn't want Emma to leave.

"RUBY!" I need more of…" Regina glares at the small glass confused deciding to hold it up for ruby to see "this!"

People in nearby booths started to whisper about the clearly over intoxicated Mayor.

Ruby moves close to Regina, so others don't hear her "I'm cutting you off. I've called Emma to take you home she will be here soon." Regina was about to protest when she feels a warm hand on her back slowly turning round on the bar stool she sees him.

"Robin" she slurs with a little nod. "Don't you think you've had enough Regina? Why don't I take you home?" "Ha!" she nearly slides off the stool, but he catches her keeping her in place "Take me home? Why don't you take your wife home!"
Regina shoves him away, so he is no longer holding on to her "Regina, please." "LEAVE! ME! ALONE!"

The bell on Granny's door echoes though the now silent diner.

"Did you not hear me, Robin? Leave me alone and go back to your wife!" Regina growls.

Robin now red in the face just stares at the swaying mayor. He steps forward mouth open to respond just a nudge on his shoulder mutes him instantly, pulling his attention to the Blonde Sheriff.
"I've got this don't worry." She puts her finger up while shaking her head to stop him arguing with her again "Go, they are waiting for you." She nods behind her. He mumbles something under his breath and walks back to the booth where his wife and child were watching him.

Throwing her arms in the air dramatically "Ahhh the one and only Saviour has arrived. You here to save me from all this dangerous alcohol?" Emma bites her smile away at the unusual state of the town's Mayor.
Taking a little breath, she steps closer placing a hand on her arm so she can lean in and whisper "I don't think you need saving your Majesty, but I do think you need some air. Come take a walk with me?" After a few seconds of no sign of movement She adds "Please."

Regina clutches at the side of Emma's jacket with her left hand as she struggles off the stool, losing her balance making Emma slides her arm around Regina's waist so she can support her.

She looks over her shoulder to Ruby who mouths 'Good luck' before she rolls her eyes and swings the diner's door open the cold air hitting them instantly.

As soon as they are clear from the on lookers Emma releases Regina from her grip, "Come on." bouncing her head in the direct they need to go; taking a few steps in front is quickly halted to backtrack only just catching the stumbling woman before she hugs the floor.
Huffing she straightens the brunette out, tugging her right arm lazily over her shoulders as she clutches at her waist to keep her locked into her side. They finally begin their walk occasionally losing their footing.

When Emma got the call from Ruby just as she was locking up the station, she was expecting it to be Leroy causing a ruckus like usual, she was not expecting that 25 minutes later she would be strolling down the main streets of Storybrooke arm in arm with a very drunk Madam Mayor.

"Miss Swan where exactly are you taking me? And where is my son while you're out taking me, God knows where?!" It would of had more of the desired effect if she didn't slur most of the words and trip over nothing causing Emma to catch her again.

Her voice is null of any emotion clearly over this situation "Our son Regina… Stop calling me Miss Swan, Emma is fine. And Henry OUR son is at home with Snow and baby Neal…You know this." she huffs as she tries to get more pace to their walking again.

The walk to 108 Muffin Street seems a lot further away than usual. After another 5 minutes of a determined Regina declaring that "You're finally going to get rid of me aren't you, Miss Swan? That's why you won't tell me where we're going." and a very silent Emma who's trying to be patient with the overly loud and uncoordinated Mayor as they arrive at the house.

After having to awkwardly pat down an extremely ticklish and giggling Regina for the front door keys they both fall through the door before beginning to climb the dreaded staircase up to the master bedroom.

"Right…Regina I'm going to put you on the side of the bed while I take your heels off then you're going to lie down while I go get you some water and painkillers for the morning, Ok? What? why are you giggling? I'm not even touching you this time." she defends wafting her hands briefly in the air.

Regina who's finally standing of her own accord of looks Emma straight in the eyes as she smirks lowering her voice to a deep whisper "How long have you wanted to take me to bed Sheriff?" with a cheeky wink she bursts out laughing once more falling on to the edge of the bed.

If the room wasn't dark the Queen would have seen the rosy cheeks of the Saviour. Shaking her head not willing to justify the drunken Queen with a response she drops onto her knees, slowly sliding each shoe off.

Regina sits up taking in the view in front of her looking down at the Saviour at her feet "I always wondered what it would take to have you on your knees before me princess." She oozes out.

A stunned noise escapes the knelt blonde, before she can even consider any reply to Regina, she's leaning towards her both her hands gliding onto her neck her fingers quickly tangling into the rich blonde hair making Emma malfunction and freeze on the spot.
The brunette tugs her forward making her loose her balance falling further into her before smacking their mouths together, Emma's eyes shoot wide as Regina locked their lips, the stinging taste of whisky burning her before her eyes fluttering closed as her mouth starts automatically falling into the rhythm and pull of the Queen herself.

Nails digging into the back of her hair yank her forward between the brunettes' legs. Emma's hands fall to the mattress still not working up the courage to touch, Regina moans into her mouth making her lips vibrate her tongue coming out asking for permission which is instantly granted.
Slowly Regina's hands slide to her jacket clutching at the collar finally pulling her up onto the bed and off her knees fitting perfectly between the Mayors' toned legs as she grinds her hips up. Using her arms for support to hover so she doesn't fully lie on Regina does not last as the kiss goes on, quickly getting lost in the moment.

A moan tearing out of Regina snaps Emma back into reality forcing her to pull bake disconnecting her lips, "Regina" She pants before she sits up shoving her tongue back into her mouth.

Fuck.

Hungrily Regina pulls at her jacket raking it off her shoulders.

Damn, This needs to stop. Snapping her face to the side she disconnects their lips once more, panting for air. Teeth instantly drag across her Jaw following by a leeching mouth.

"Oh my god." Emma hums quietly her eyes rolling "Why do you have to be this good with your mouth?"

Regina chuckles running her tongue up the length of Emma's neck.

No, we need to stop.

Tilting her head back into the line of fire their lips instantly connect, but this time Emma uses her forehead to push away keeping their lips inches apart. Nails dig deeper into her back trying to pull them back together.

"Regina." She whispers

"Kiss me saviour."

"Regina, you're drunk you don't really want this...me" she confesses receiving a frown and another tug down that Emma fights against "You're just upset, there's a lot going on but this..." She looks down at their bodies entwined "This isn't going to make it better." She smiles genuinely, hoping she will get a response, but nothing comes. She nods to herself "Let's get you under the covers and you can sleep this off. No harm done everyone makes mistakes when they are drunk." she carefully untangles herself and gets back to her feet sliding her jacket back on.
Tapping on the pillow she smiles again "Come on, lie down. I'll go get you some water. "

Without argument Regina lays her head down, Emma notices light glistening from wet on her cheek, using the back of her knuckle she wipes the tear marks away, without another word she turns and walks out of the door.

*THUD*

"EMMA!"

Oh shit! Quickly abandoning her quest for Water and paracetamol, she sprints up the stairs taking 3 sometimes 4 steps at a time.

"What? What happened?" she gasps looking around for anything that could explain the noise and scream. When nothing instantly jumps out, she bends over clutching at her chest "Is everything ok? Are you ok? What the fuck was that noise?" She asks just noticing the lamp knocked on its side slowly rolling back and forth on the floor before making eye contact with a very smiley Mayor. Her eyebrow spikes up her face quickly becoming unamused.

"What? It fell and made me jump" She shrugs looking like a naughty child behind a giggle. "Anyway, seen as you're here now..."

"Regina, that wasn't funny I nearly had a heart attack."

Her face goes serious "Can I ask you something?"

Finally catching her breath and quickly realising she isn't going to get a response to the lamp, she nods "Sure..."

"Do you think I'll ever be happy? Do… Do you think I'm worthy of a happy ending after everything I've done?" Still slurring her words slightly.

Feeling the pull on her heart strings, Emma's eyes soften. "Of course you are worthy of being Happy Regina." She sits down on the bed next and strokes her hair "I promise I will help you find your happy ending and I will. Robin is an idiot; I can't apologise for saving his wife and bringing her back and I know I haven't had chance to say this because you have been actively avoiding me, but I am sorry Regina. I am sorry that bringing her back has hurt you in the process."

"I don't care about Robin; his son deserves his mother and he...he deserves his wife." she smiles painfully, not truly sure who she is trying to convince or if she even believes the words that have come out of her mouth.
"Will, you stay with me tonight?" she fiddles with the corner of Emma's Jacket, "I don't want to be alone tonight."

Emma opens her mouth to reply but Regina cuts her off.

"You were wrong by the way; this isn't a mistake... I do want you, Emma." she nods.

Emma smiles knowing this is the drunk Regina talking "If you say so…you might feel a little different by morning" she laughs standing to slide her jacking off and throwing it on the floor swiftly followed by kicking her boots off. Turning back to Regina the reality of the moment hits, she just stands there taking in the scene before her.

"Are you just going to stand there shuffling your feet or are you going to get into this bed with me Miss Swan?"

"Right, yep." Emma slowly slithers in next to Regina trying to keep a respectable amount of distance, which turns out to be completely pointless when Regina sighs and shuffles closer to the saviour. Her arms wrap around her waist, her head falling perfectly onto the blonde's chest.
Completely frozen it takes Emma a few moments to relax into the warm embrace placing her arms around the smaller women and holding her tightly against her chest.

Regina's breathing has mellowed out making Emma believe she's fast asleep, so she feels brave enough to mutter into the darkness "I wish I was your happy ending; I'd never doubt you, cheat or lie. I'd worship you; treat you how you deserve to be treated. I love you Regina Mills, but I'll never be able to tell you that while you're awake I'm too much of a coward but it's true." placing a light kiss on the top of her head she slowly drifts off into a light sleep not knowing that Regina heard every word slipping off into her own slumber shortly after the sweet confession with a smile on her face.
