No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2
Chapter 50: Emberkreiss (Part 10)

"Do you understand?"
….
…
"I do. Yes."
…
….
Victor Strange was sitting down in a brand new kitchen. Everything about the space he was in screamed sophisticated, otherworldly, and intelligent. The three words that struck his mind also resembled the person who designed everything he could see. Ezekiel Stane was very sophisticated, otherworldly and intelligent. So much so, Victor sometimes found him to be….
"Good. I plan to shower now. Then, I'll leave it up to you if you want to return to the Kamar taj."
Ezekiel explained himself to Victor over a light breakfast. He even drew him another map as he followed along with the information that he had to share. The Jackal had to ask Victor if he understood, because his expression was coming across as somewhat vacant. Blank. Processing. The newly appointed Sorcerer Supreme didn't seem too lost with the information, but Ezekiel had to be sure.
….
…
Brilliant. Dangerous. Intimidating. Three more words suddenly crossed Victor's young mind as he processed what was served up for him as his breakfast. For most people, even Ezekiel's calm demeanor was described as unnerving. Victor had heard it said once or twice, and in that moment… he felt it in his soul. The youngest member of the Strange family had a lot to process at that point in his life.
His forever evolving connection with Ezekiel Stane was definitely something to process. In the scheme of things, Victor decided to notch that relationship up to the top of his list. Maintaining connections was essential to his role as the new poster boy for the Mystic Arts. So, in that moment, Victor Strange inwardly declared his game of chess, with that crime lord-chess master of an ex boyfriend.
"Kamar taj, Smarmar taj. Can I join you?"
…
….
Victor stood up from the table. He took his fancy plate, and his cup. He looked over Ezekiel's utensils and stuff after he asked that crime lord his silly little question. Ezekiel had a half-smirk going on after Victor made an interesting move. The Jackal wasn't really expecting it. He figured Victor would continue his never-ending pondering.
….
…
"Join me where?"
"In the shower."
…
….
Ah.
…
….
Ezekiel's smile widened up a bit. Victor watched him nod his head a couple times. The young man stood up as well and he put his current efforts toward cleaning up his mess. He was picking up on an interesting maturity, thing, going on with Victor in that moment as well. It seemed like Stephen and Donna's baby brother was finally understanding the world they were in.
Victor took the nod as a YES, and he watched Ezekiel pick up the map he made. With one small gesture, the paper with all of Ezekiel's clever plans suddenly dissolved. Gone. Without a trace.
"This house only has one bedroom, so, I hope you like it."
Take it or leave it Victor, because guests be damned. Ezekiel had no intention of entertaining any sort of guest, or the notion of family and friends. Victor took the charming information in as Ezekiel headed off toward what was most likely going to be his sophisticated, otherworldly, and intelligent looking bedroom and bathroom. Victor Strange held in what was said, and he accepted the information as it was presented.
A deeply personal mission unfolded for the baby Strange that morning. He began to think, in a super weird way, that he stumbled onto the same exact mission as Charles Xavier, and Steve Rogers. Victor inwardly declared himself to finally be on the exact same page as the two of them, because….
….
…
Keeping Ezekiel Stane in his current mindset was pretty friggen mandatory, so Victor Strange followed him as he ventured further into that fancy new home.
