No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2

Chapter 54: Istanbul(Part 4)

Donna Strange went through the motions of what could be considered a "normal" morning. She technically had a "day off" from the world that was dominating her life. Her role at the Kamar taj was something to process, and the young woman thought over all of the "roles" that had been cast upon her and her two siblings.

Her older brother, Stephen, was now declared to be the ruler of the Dark Dimension alongside his wife. The Dark Dimension was under Strange control, and Stephen's role as the Sorcerer Supreme had been technically, mirrored? Through Donna's network as the newest embodiment of the Ancient One, she knew more about the flip to Stephen's role than she let on.

From Dark to Light, Stephen's role as the Sorcerer Supreme has been carefully flipped onto another person. Stephen chose Victor.

Victor Strange. Donna held a small smile as she processed what was happening with their baby brother. Her mind wandered over to several thoughts about their parents, then she returned to the matter at hand. If the universe came under siege right there in that moment, she had to wonder who would be ready to assist. She could feel where her brother's souls were in that moment.

A scenario ran through her mind. If their world was attacked right then, she figured Stephen would ignore it, and leave it for them to handle. In theory, Victor would step up, with Ezekiel beside him. It was an interesting dynamic, those two, and her mind had been put to rest about Ezekiel ages ago. As a sister, it broke her heart to know she'd barely said more than five words to the person that obviously cared about her baby brother.

But, that was Victor's fault…

Donna was still annoyed about that, but she ignored the sentiment and she went about her day. Picking out something to wear was always a fun task for her. She loved accessorizing, and looking at all of her colorful clothes. Some might call it a fairytale princess fantasy, or whatever, but Donna saw it as a way back to herself. In a way, she was trying to hold onto something, maybe the person she was before she died.

Her mind went somewhere dangerous. She thought about her death in the lake, then she thought about the person who recently asked her if she was happy. James seemed different when he spoke to her at the Kamar taj. It seemed like he was holding onto something too, or trying to figure something out. In that moment, she wanted to simply call him and ask him if they could have a conversation. Could they talk about why she left his apartment? Did he care? Did she even have a reason to explain?

Silly thoughts. Donna Strange carried on with her day, and she leaned on her carefree roommate to get her through. Darcy greeted her in the kitchen, and she apologized for the condition of the fridge. Groceries needed to be bought, that's what she said. Well, Donna mentioned that she had the entire day off to correct things like that.

They agreed to spend the day together, and to get the apartment all stocked up.
