No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2

Chapter 57: Istanbul(Part 7)

Steve Rogers outwardly declared that he needed more than a moment to think, because he finally expressed the thoughts that were haunting his soul.

Tony was informed that he was being "sexualized" throughout their entire relationship, he was never really seen, and that Steve was no different than his best friend. He was even reminded that Bucky Barnes just "helped himself" to Tony's body back in Brooklyn, and Steve felt he had no room to lecture his friend about anything.

Whoa there turbo.

Tony took all of that in and his soul shook with disbelief. They had argued before, a lot, because Steve Rogers always treated him like a friggen elf on the shelf. That all related to the two of them doing field work, because Tony wanted to be out there with Steve. Tony fought hard to join him out there on the front lines, all because Steve didn't want him getting hurt.

The blonde learned pretty quick that he was preaching to the choir, because Tony Stark outwardly declared that he did as he pleased. That argument was put to rest YEARS AGO, or so they thought. The issue obviously evolved, and Tony felt it was back to haunt him. Now, BLONDIE decided to treat the sex in their relationship as a sin, and Tony was just about to lose his cool.

"NEWS FLASH, STEVE… I'm fine with YOU helping yourself. That's what you're not getting. I'm in a relationshipwith you, and you can sexualize me all day long. I don't care… What is the actual issue here?"

WHAT. IS. THE. PROBLEM? Tony was beyond frustrated with what he was hearing, so he scoffed out toward the ceiling of his amazing office. Scoffing didn't help, so he turned his focus toward the left hand side of Steve. There was a nice sculpture over there to look at, and it managed to calm Tony's nerves for a moment. Steve's next set of words hit the brunette like a ton of bricks. The words rage, fire, brimstone, and scorched earth came to mind after Steve's gentle voice expressed his response.

"If you don't see an issue Tony, that's a problem."

"Wow. Ok, so, what's your solution? Stare at my hands and sketch my office? An office I barely even use?"

COME. ON. STEVE. Tony was about to rage blast the room they were in, and turn it all into dust. Steve took in the response as it was presented, and he could see that the conversation was upsetting Tony. The blonde took in a slow breath, then he gathered up his notebook and pencils. His "solution" was to think things over, and regroup once the dust settled.

Tony couldn't believe what he was seeing. Steve Rogers put that notebook up underneath his left arm, then he said that he needed to think. The blonde also said he was sorry about the way he behaved earlier. Tony heard the word "regroup" and his heart friggen sank down to his snazzy shoes. They didn't need to regroup for shit. Steve could feel all that anger and tension. In an effort to soothe Tony's mood, he gently touched both of his arms. Steve even gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek, and Tony just stood there.

"I think we should return to the Kamar taj. Victor needs the amulet you made him, and I have something I want to give Ezekiel."

Great. Fucking… perfect. Tony heard Steve's distraction tactic. Two things were happening between them in that moment. Steve Rogers was touching his skin, and he was also being all gentle and sweet. At the same exact time, Steve was diverting them away from the conversation. That shit always made Tony feel all twisted up, and confused. He watched Steve form a portal back to the Kamar taj.

It looked like a bomb dropped over in friggen Kathmandu, but Tony wasn't in the mood to look very far into the portal.

"I'll follow after you soon. I'm not ready to talk to Victor."

Things hadn't aligned with Hoggoth at that point, and Tony felt like his mind wasn't in the best place to converse with Victor Strange. Steve gave him a simple nod, then the blonde's warmth left Tony's skin. Steve knew that leaving made Tony's mood even worse, and the blonde hated himself for it even more. He returned to the Kamar taj in order to process their conversation…

Steve felt like he had to, and the more he explained himself…it felt as though he was making it worse. SO, the soldier stepped up toward one of the temples of the Kamar taj. He noticed a ton of chaos and commotion, then he looked up at one of the taller buildings. He noticed two people clearing up part of the damage. Ezekiel, and …

Wade? Hold the phone. Steve held onto his notebook, and he made his way up toward the confusing scene. Ezekiel was using his technology to patch up one of the buildings, while Wade Wilson gathered up the rubble right along with him. He was talking loudly about Milwaukee. Steve could hear him from the ground, and he looked around for Victor Strange.

"What in the world happened here?"

Steve made his rooftop debut, and Deadpool let out a squealing sound as soon as his eyes locked upon Steve. The mercenary was always happy to see "Captain Sexy-pants." He made sure to mention that as soon as Steve made it up to the top. Wade immediately told him that their first training session got way out of hand. Ezekiel watched as Steve Rogers approached them.

He asked them where Victor was, and naturally Wade gave him all the information on the subject.

"Victor went into one of the temples with his sister. She looked pretty pissed.."

Hmm.. Steve studied the scene for a bit longer, then his eyes migrated over more toward Ezekiel Stane. The Jackal was wearing his suit, but the helmet portion of the technology was removed. Those two made eye contact for a brief moment, but, Ezekiel made sure to look away. He refocused on the wall that needed to be rebuilt. Seeing Steve always made him nervous. The Jackal never could pinpoint why, but Victor's comment about admiring him suddenly struck his mind.

He looked to Steve for guidance in more ways than he knew. Ezekiel never really processed that, so… he felt nervous whenever he actually saw him.
