No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2
Chapter 86: Game Boi (Part 6)
…
Tumble out of bed, and stumble to the kitchen…
Pour myself a cup of ambition, and yawn and stretch and try to come to life…
Jump in the shower, and the blood starts pumpin'…
Out on the streets, the traffic starts jumpin', for folks like me on the job from 9 to 5…
…
Wade Wilson lived near a place called Hunts Point, and the current time in "The Bronx" of New York State was 8:22 a.m… The mercenary was wide awake, and he was listening to one of his favorite songs as he made his guests a ton of breakfast. Comfort food such as pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast, and coffee was a must… and it was actually a staple meal frequently served under Deadpool's roof.
Victor Strange woke up a short while ago. He showered with Ezekiel, and he said something about receiving a message from his older sister. Donna Strange told him that he "needed" to return to the Kamar taj as soon as possible, and Wade watched the baby wizard supreme freak out about that for a long while.
Awwww… to be a young, overly sincere pushover once again. Wade felt amused with both of his house guests that morning, and he thought Victor Strange was just as sweet as pie.
…
Workin' 9 to 5, what a way to make a livin'…
Barely gettin' by, it's all takin' and no givin'…
…
Victor heard the weird music as he picked out some random clothes from Deadpool's laundry pile. His clothes were all gross and trashed from the club, and the anxiety-filled sorcerer felt like he didn't have enough time to get ready anywhere else. He also didn't feel like he had time to eat, but the food smelled too good to pass up.
Holy shit. Victor shoveled some food in his mouth after a bit, and Wade gave a soft laugh. Ezekiel revealed himself eventually. The quiet coyote was still very flustered. Victor looked up from his meal and he noticed that right away.
"Donna says that I'm not allowed to attend your review."
She didn't give Victor a reason either. That annoyed the baby Sorcerer Supreme, so his eyebrows folded up and tightened as he looked back down at his food. His siblings always had the upper hand, or whatever. Ezekiel borrowed some of Wade's clothes as well, but he picked out something that he would actually wear.
The only problem was, Wade Wilson had a bigger body. It wasn't that bad, but Ezekiel didn't feel quite right with the bulkier fabric covering his skin. The thought of that changed a bit after he looked at Wade again that morning. The mercenary smiled at him, oh, and he asked him if he planned to "chow down."
"It's fine Victor. I will tell you everything, once it's over."
Ezekiel planned to include Victor in every aspect, but he didn't want him out on the field with him. That was the only element that was off limits to him in Ezekiel's mind, and the baby Strange began to study the look on his face.
"You two are sweating this, but I've actually been waiting a long time to meet Charles Xavier face to face. I finally get to say, hey, I don't want to go to the movies with you grandpa, so please… stop stalking me."
Hoo hoo. Wade laughed at his own joke. He also tossed the pancake mix back in the cupboard, then he noticed that he had two flustered cuties watching every move he made. Wade managed to get the both of them to open up earlier that morning, and it felt like he taught them both a thing or two. SO, the mercenary could see that he now had two bashful fanboys sitting around his dining room table.
"Wait, you're going?"
Ezekiel assumed Wade wouldn't attend. His nature was to tell everyone to fuck off, so Ezekiel expected him to stay true to that for some reason. Wade gave that question a strong nod. Fuck yeah he was going. He stood behind Ezekiel's plan of action going forward, and Deadpool wanted to make sure that what the Jackal wanted made it through his bullshit "review."
"Yes. I'm going. It's almost time to leave, so, bye cutie."
Wade had to laugh at his own noise for a sec, because the merc joked around and gave Victor a kiss on the cheek. The baby Strange had perfect posture, just like his siblings, but that back popped up when Wade's warmth suddenly touched his face. Uhmmahh… Victor watched him head off to take another shower, get ready, and all that jazz. The thirst never left… so things got super quiet after Wade left the room.
"Bye, Wade.."
Victor responded way too late, but he had to say something. They both had a lot to process. Victor and Ezekiel had to process how intimate they were with another human being. I mean, it was intense. They looked at one another after a bit, then the food beneath them was where they forced their focus. He's… uhm.. Victor had no words.
"Thank you Vic, for Istanbul."
Ezekiel felt like that needed to be said. His mind, body and heart had opened up a lot, and he really credited that to the connection he had with Victor. The baby Jackal glanced at him for just a moment, but his flustered nature took over. He had to look away, because a memory of their encounter with Wade took over his thought. Victor almost choked on his food as he processed what Ezekiel said.
He loved hearing it. Victor felt almost too happy in that moment, and he never wanted the feeling to end.
But, the two of them had to separate at some point. Victor finished what he could of that giant meal, then he took a moment to give Ezekiel a reluctant goodbye. He couldn't bear to be away from him any longer, but the baby Strange knew that he had to shake that feeling right then and there.
Deadpool was putting his costume on for the masses, and Victor quietly returned to the Kamar taj. He approached his sister's council room, because he figured she was there. He went looking for Donna, but Victor Strange received an interesting surprise that morning instead, because an unexpected person was there to greet him when he walked up to the door.
"Hey Vic."
Bucky Barnes was, still there? Victor recalled his distant presence at the Kamar taj the day before. It seemed like he… stayed there? Wait what? No his clothes were different. Hang on. Victor took a long while to respond to Bucky, cuz he also had some sobering up to do. Uh, hello. Victor smiled at him and he also gave the somber brunette a friendly wave.
"You not being allowed in for the Surveillant Council review is mainly a S.H.I.E.L.D. thing. I want you to know that. S.H.I.E.L.D. is really strict on confidentiality, and you being in a relationship with Ezekiel is another part of it.."
Bucky felt like clarifying that, because he didn't want Victor thinking that the decision to exclude him had anything to do with his sister. UH. HOLD UP. Victor slowly scratched the back of his head after he heard that, then he kinda got to thinking that Bucky Barnes was finally making a comeback at being Donna's… boyfriend?
Victor's mind settled on that even more when his sister finally showed her face. Donna Strange inspected Victor's appearance immediately, and she asked him if he found his clothes somewhere down in the bottom of a bargain bin. Her response was super savage, and Bucky held back a small laugh. What? Victor looked down at the clothes that he borrowed from Wade, and he finally took in his appearance.
"We.. uhhh.. Ezekiel and I stayed at, a friends. I didn't have a change of clothes."
"OH, you stayed at a friend's house. Right. See you later little brother."
Donna Strange playfully ruffled up Victor's cute hair and she looked back toward James. The two of them were summoned to that Surveillant Council review, and the fact that "Bucky Barnes" was there in that moment was nobody's business. They travelled to the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility together that morning, and Victor quickly pawed at the front of his hair.
