No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2

Chapter 91: Another Sunset (Part 1)

The second part of Ezekiel's "review" consisted of answering questions from members of the Surveillant Council. Charles Xavier explained that he would be listening to his mind and observing his responses as the questions took place.

Joy…

The first question came from Steve Rogers, and it had to do with his physical state. Ezekiel had to explain to him that yes he had been under the influence of alcohol and… something else, and Ezekiel really struggled confessing his behavior the night before. Technically, his ass was "off the clock" so Wade was SOOOO CLOOOOSEEE to stepping in.

Deadpool used all of his might and willpower to keep his big mouth shut, and his behavior became amusing to some of the people in the room. He would cover his mouth like a whacko, and lean back all crazy as if he couldn't control what his face was about to do. Even Ezekiel cracked a laugh after a while, because he knew that Wade wanted to tell them all to suck a cock.

Either way, Ezekiel being intoxicated was kind of a red flag, so the group said something about deliberating that during the break. Break. Cool. READ THE APPLICATION. That's all Ezekiel cared about, and what happened in Istanbul was the furthest thought currently occupying his young mind. The Jackal knew that his random intoxication weighed less on the scale, especially when it was compared to the information he presented for Nick Fury.

Think of it as a deck of cards, with the application serving to be a really good hand.

The next series of questions came from Nick Fury himself. The director of S.H.I.E.L.D. said he only cared about Ezekiel's application. In fact, he told him that if he was out there intoxicated, on his own time, that was his business. Not everyone on the Council saw that situation in the same light, but it made Ezekiel feel a million times better.

"It'stheirjob to monitor whatever you've got going on when you're off the clock. I want to understand your first move here in Milwaukee."

Fury was even pointing at a printed version of the application. Seeing that caused Ezekiel to feel a sudden splash of joy in his soul. He moved further toward the table, and he asked Fury if he had a specific question. Fury wanted the logic of it to be explained, because what Ezekiel planned in Milwaukee was just the start.

"Wade got started early, but everyone in that warehouse or currently going to that warehouse in Milwaukee was sent there for slaughter. These individuals worked for me willingly, and they are the first set of employees responsible for murder, human trafficking and even organ harvesting, all for the market I built with my father."

The prison was getting full, Fury, and Ezekiel felt it was the only way to make a dent in what he built. The young man had chosen a path, and now it was time for his council to look over what he intended to do and vote. It was safe to say that Ezekiel's plans in Milwaukee served to be another red flag. It was probably his worst red flag to date, so the council needed a moment.

"And if these plans, or, if your division isn't approved?"

Fury needed to understand that as well, because he understood that Pandora was way out of the box when he first understood who Ezekiel Stane actually was. He maintained the strongest effort to keep him in prison, but there he was.. taking up arms with Deadpool, and trying to obtain his own division.

"If my plans and division aren't approved, then we will part ways… and I will do this on my own."

Ezekiel was NOT going back to prison, and he wasnotgoing to allow Nick Fury… or anyone else out there to chain him down like a dog ever again. The Jackal was trained to be a crime lord for a reason, right? Why not utilize it…. Just as Wade Wilson was led to do all the dirty work that nobody wanted to do. Somebody had to do it, and S.H.I.E.L.D. was too weak, and slow.

Wade looked at every member of the Surveillant Council in that moment. He felt that they really had to dig deep and understand what Ezekiel was willing to do for them. Steve Rogers looked low-key horrified, and Tony (AKA sexy pants) was sitting right beside him. Tony Stark looked contemplative, and more serious than some of the others.

He also didn't have any questions for Ezekiel, which was odd. Normally the kitty kitty was a chatterbox. Wade puzzled on him for a sec, then he looked over at Donna Strange. She changed her appearance for the Council meeting, so now she looked similar to Charles Xavier. HAH. That shit was bananas, and Wade's A.D.D. couldn't get around it.

Deadpool felt like talking in that moment too, because Fury's voice kept droning on and on about how murder wasn't the answer. He said… murder's not the answerrrrr, and S.H.I.E.L.D. only condones this behavior under certain circumstances. Oh, and Deadpool's actions are not warranted. All of that was complete bullshit, because they all knew what field Agent Natasha Romanov did on a Wednesday. If what he did wasn't "warranted" then Deadpool wondered why he was sitting there in the first place.

"Hey there. Newsflash guys. Uhh, my associate here is very firm with his decisions. He's letting you know what we intend to do, and there's onlyone wayyou can stop us."

And that one waywas death. Wade Wilson looked directly at Charles Xavier after he spoke to the room, because the mercenary wasn't going to change himself for anyone. It was a bad bad world out there folks, and Deadpool was in it and out for blood. There was no going back in his book, and he wanted the freak-police Surveillant Council to get with the program.

"We're not done in Milwaukee, and those men are gonna lose their heads whether you like it or not. If you've got a soft spot for one or two of them, FINE, go pick um up right now… but there's plenty more where they came from."

Baldy-locks was right, cuz bloodbaths are fun. Deadpool had heard enough of their pretentious, self righteous, drawn-out BULLSHIT. It was like, 11 A.M. at that point, and the gig still wasn't voted on and approved for him to head back to Milwaukee at all. Wade was ready to go go goooo, so he stretched his arms back and up toward the heavens.

The next person who spoke was Xavier. He informed Deadpool that his insight was "greatly appreciated," and that it was time for them to deliberate the information. Ezekiel and Wade were told to leave the room, for an hour.

AN HOUR? Fuuuuuck that. Huurrrruugghhhhh.. Wade reluctantly dragged his body up and out of the room. Ezekiel looked amused with him as he followed behind, then they left. The silence in the room became very thick, until Steve Rogers said that he needed to go over everything in the application.

Bucky Barnes already knew how Steve would vote. He could see it on his face that he wasn't happy with half of the shit that was brought to their attention. No wonder Xavier was freaking out….

Deliberation was a must, so the Surveillant Council gathered in a little closer. They spoke a little, then they started passing around printed versions of Ezekiel's application. Bucky joined them at the table and he started looking over the documents. Holy shit folks, the somber brunette was not expecting any of that…
