No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2
Chapter 95: Another Sunset (Part 5)
…
Holy. Shit.
Field Agent Natasha Romanoff did exactly what Bucky Barnes advised her to do as soon as she sat down in their small aircraft. She started skimming over any information relating to Ezekiel Stane, as Clint Barton got the engine running. They were up in the air pretty quickly, and her sister Yelena started asking at-least a million questions.
"Holy shit guys. Holy actual shit.…"
Natasha kept saying that, and it was driving the baby archer insane. He said HOLY SHIT WHAT? Like, ten times… but Natasha kept reading. Barton was cutting through the sky, but all he had set in the system was a general location set for Milwaukee. He told Natasha he wanted some actual coordinates, and the Widow told him she was looking for it. Her eyes had a mountain of information to digest, so Natasha seemed permanently glued to something that was on her translucent screen.
Based off of the last document that was provided, the Black Widow could see that the White Jackal's new division was given the green light. The paperwork stated that he intended to clear out the warehouse in Milwaukee before the end of the day. Natasha wasn't the type of person to get nervous, but when her eyes glanced over Wade Wilson…..
Yeahhhh…. The Widow was in no mood to potentially go toe-to-toe with him. Thanks, but no thanks. She found the coordinates to the warehouse in Milwaukee, and she could tell that the information was being imputed in that moment. By order of Steve Rogers… thank God. The Widow gave Barton the exact location of the warehouse, and then she explained what was happening.
"Ezekiel and Wade are going to be heading to that warehouse today. I think they'll be heading there as soon as he's done giving Steve Rogers all of the information. Those two plan to kill everyone in that warehouse, and there's nothing S.H.I.E.L.D. can do."
Ezekiel definitely pulled a fast one on S.H.I.E.L.D…. but Natasha had mixed feelings about it in that moment. She was reading over who was actually going to be present in that warehouse, and who had already met their fate during round one. Deadpool already cleared out half of the crew, but that just helped Ezekiel round up more "troops".
The code name "Trick Shot" was on the list, so Agent Romanoff slowly closed her eyes. Barton's brother was sent in to "help" the situation caused by Wade, so honestly that meant he was being sent there to die. Holy shit. Natasha was in low-key disbelief. She told the crew, and...
"You mean, he's going to KILL my brother? Is that what you're saying right now?"
…
Clint Barton gripped the controls to the aircraft when he processed what he heard. He processed the wild goose chase that he was sent on to find his older brother. If Ezekiel Stane sent him off on some random shit journey, then in the end he murders his brother? Oh wow… shit was going to go down in Milwaukee for sure.
"Keep in mind he's teamed up with Deadpool. You do not want to face him one-on-one Clint. You'll lose."
Sorry, but it absolutely had to be said. Natasha was NOT going to entertain seeing that baby bird lose his life. Because, yes, according to the paperwork... his brother was sent to that warehouse, so Ezekiel Stane was sending him there to die. That also meant Barton's brother was responsible for doing some awful things…
The speed of that aircraft increased, and Hawkeye didn't say another word. The coordinates were locked in, and he only thought about his brother in that moment. The bird truly couldn't believe what was happening. He was separated from his brother years ago, and as they grew up… they did become enemies. Charles Bernard Barton, AKA "Trick Shot" was always on the opposite side…
"Could the three of us take on this, Deadpool?"
Yelena was trying to be helpful. From where she was sitting, she could see the troubled and angry expression on Barton's face. The adoptive sister understood what she could see, because she absolutely adored and loved her older sister. The thought of someone sending her to the slaughterhouse was….
Natasha heard her sister's question about if the three of them could "take on" Wade Wilson. No. Fucking. Way... That was the first response that immediately settled in her mind, but Natasha toned it down before she answered for the group. Her sister wasn't normally stationed in the United States, so her exposure to Deadpool was pretty minimal.
"No, Yelena. The three of us won't be able to take him on. Facts are facts, and we're the members of the team without the fancy tech and super powers. We do what's smart to stay alive, so all we can do in this situation is extract Charles Barton. Got it?"
Natasha stood up in the aircraft as she spoke, then she walked over toward the front of the plane. She made sure to look Hawkeye over in that moment, and she could see that the baby bird was very upset. He was looking a little lethal, and that wasn't a good thing. She decided to use her superiority against him in that moment, in hopes that it would keep him from doing something stupid.
"Do not engage with the White Jackal, or Deadpool. That's an order. We will extract your brother and leave. That's it."
Then they would deal with the consequences from that later, if there were any. Natasha had a million more pages of information to review, but she understood that Ezekiel did give Barton the information he needed to locate his brother. He gave it to him… but when they arrived, "Trick Shot" wasn't there.
He most likely made it to Milwaukee, and if he was there, then they would extract him out...
The baby bird just kept pressing forward. He heard Natasha, but an inner rage was going on within him in that moment, so he didn't look up or respond. Thoughts about killing Ezekiel crossed his mind as well, because the archer truly hated him. He thought about it one too many times as the aircraft cut its way to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The baby bird was still silent when he made his landing far from the coordinates. They landed far enough away for their small crew to move in on foot without being noticed. They moved into a lookout position first, because Natasha wouldn't allow him to just waltz into the building. All of it was some sort of torture, but the archer was ready to friggen scrap.
His eyes looked upward at first, for Ezekiel, because he assumed that he would be up there with his fancy white suit. "Hawkeye's" adrenaline was off the charts, and he wanted to get in there and fuck everything up. URRAAGGhh HE WAS PISSSEDDDD. He couldn't even look at Yelena and Natasha in that moment. The baby bird roughly flipped a pair of binoculars over his eyes when Natasha said something to him. She was repeating her DO NOT ENGAGE demand, but the baby bird failed to listen.
His eyes just scanned around for any sign of his brother. Doing that helped him keep his cool….
