No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2
Chapter 96: Another Sunset (Part 6)
…
UUMMMAAAGGGHHHHHH OH TO BE DONE WITH ALL THE BULLSHIT BUREAUCRACYyyyy…
Wade Wilson was not feeling the paperwork at all. The structure, and all of the formal bullshit he was witnessing between Ezekiel and Steve Rogers was torture. They couldn't just GO, TO, MILWAUKEE. No… Ezekiel had to do a whole bunch of crap beforehand, and the mercenary was catching a vibe that Captain America was stalling them out.
He told them that Wade would have to be sworn in as a "conditional" member of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well, and that his role was always subject to being removed from the team. Oh, really? What happened to the community service hours he was forced to cooperate withagainst his those? Steve sexy pants Rogers was the reason Deadpool was put on the team in the first place.
Awww did his plan backfire? LOL….
Wade pondered that as he sold his soul and signed some stuff on the dotted line. He signed the document for Ezekiel, and the mercenary was surprised to learn that his profile was already complete in the system. S.H.I.E.L.D. had everything they needed to confirm his identity if his body was found somewhere out in the wild.
Tony Stark's gift. Got it. Wade glanced over at Steve's sassy lover. The technology Tony gave him was the only way anyone would have a scan of his friggen eyeballs, or whatever, so the mercenary just gave that brunette a looooonnngggg hard look. Steve told Ezekiel that they had everything that they needed, for now, and they were free to go.
Whoo hooooo! Wade rejoiced as he left the deliberation room FROM HELL, then he glanced behind him to make sure Ezekiel was following. The Jackal was right behind him and his body became covered with his tech. That white suit, named Zephyr, finally made a comeback, because the code name "White Jackal" was his only identity for S.H.I.E.L.D. going forward. The Jackal ran "its" own division, and its main objective was to root out the criminal activity that had been built by Ezekiel Stane. Is it making sense?
"Ezekiel Stane" was a completely different person. Some crime lord, and he was about to lose a large amount of employees due to a tragic event. The work he mapped out with Wade Wilson was also designed to serve a message to outside organizations. The message was dark, dreadful, and full of blood. None of that was on Ezekiel's mind in that moment.
He ran some coordinates through his technology, then his body was immediately transported away from his location. Ezekiel touched Wade's left arm quickly, which caused the mercenary to travel with him. In an instant, the White Jackal was transported to the roof of the warehouse in Milwaukee, and he watched Wade Wilson adjust to the sudden transportation.
It wasn't like the Mystic Arts at all. Those portals didn't do anything to the person wielding them. No, Ezekiel's technology served to dissolve them, in a sense, then the matter of his body and suit reformed above the roof. It always caused an interesting sensation, and Deadpool had to talk to him about it. He said it felt gooooddd and he felt all tingly and "goosebumpy" beneath his red suit. Ezekiel held a small smile.
His tech got to work immediately, and Zephyr mapped out the people below their feet. His quick scan also picked up on three bodies off toward his right, so the Jackal immediately looked in that direction.
Agent Barton, Agent Romanov..and Yelena Belova. An amused smile crossed his face, then he returned his attention toward Wade Wilson. Deadpool pulled one of his swords out from behind his back. He studied his own blade, and asked when they were heading in. Not yet.. Ezekiel said, because he noticed someone moving in.
You see, when Ezekiel and Wade suddenly appreared up on the roof, Clint Barton's eyes finally locked onto his older brother. Hawkeye's heart just about burst when he saw his brother's blonde hair, and he tossed the binoculars off of his head as soon as he saw him.
"I see him."
That's all he said. Barton leapt down from his lookout, then the baby bird took off toward the large building. Natasha friggen gasped when she saw that, because her eyes were focused up on WADE and EZEKIEL, who were obviously on top of the roof. The two of them had unique looking costumes, so there was no mistaking who showed up. Natasha touched her ear piece in that moment, she said something to their "leader" in hopes that he was patched into her line, but Ezekiel wasn't patched into anything.
Barton just took off toward the building, remember, so the Widow had to take a deep breath and quickly follow. Barton was super quick on his feet, unfortunately, so she watched him reach the building long before her. She had steps planned out in her mind to take Trick Shot in. Natasha felt as prepared as she could get in that moment, but…
She ran after Barton, and told Yelena to follow and stay by the building. She needed her sister to take their cargo back to the aircraft once he was extracted. Natasha cursed out loud as soon as she reached the side of the warehouse, because the baby bird had already made his way in. Besides being fast on his feet, Agent Barton was also quiet, and small. He made his way into the building through a window, so Natasha lost sight of her teammate.
Barton heard his brother's voice as soon as his feet touched the floor of the warehouse. He moved in his brother's direction, and he remembered how he was always telling some sort of corny joke. His brother was a trickster, not a murderer. He wasn't… what? A drug dealer, or whatever. Clint Barton refused to believe that his older brother was supposed to be there…
The baby archer quietly moved around a tall stack of pallets. Some "cargo" was packed up and ready for shipment, or whatever. The field agent used the pallets to hide for just a moment. His eyes met his brother once again, and his eyes followed him as he walked. Trick Shot was talking to someone else, and as soon as that person looked away from his brother, Hawkeye pulled him behind the pallet.
"You need to leave. Right now."
That's all he said, and he expected his brother to hear him and comply. Trick Shot was very surprised to suddenly get yanked backward by someone, but then he became even more surprised to set his eyes upon his baby brother. Well well, a sarcastic comment crossed his mind about seeing a ghost, but Charles Bernard Barton wasn't given a second to speak.
He smiled at his little brother, then the Widow made her move. Natasha shoved something into the man's neck to incapacitate him, then she roughly pulled Trick Shot back further and out of sight. The extraction was almost complete, but she gave Barton an annoyed look. She didn't like him racing in there like he did, and the look on her face became worse after Hawkeye spoke again.
"Get him out of here Nat."
…
She needed to go. Now. Barton looked back toward the pallet, then he glanced upward. Natasha smacked Clint's shoulder hard, and she told him that he needed to follow. No. He wasn't going to follow, and he understood that his brother was going to be taken to S.H.I.E.L.D… He was in their custody now, so go.
The White Jackal could see all the movement below them, and he figured he'd given Agent Barton more than enough time. A smile broke out beneath his white suit once again, and he quietly told Deadpool that it was time to move in. Wade didn't hesitate with that information, because his happy ass was ready for the bloodbath.
Natasha forced her way out of the building with Barton's brother as soon as Wade and Ezekiel moved in. She told her sister to drag Trick Shot back to the aircraft, because she couldn't leave the the archer in there for long. She prepared another cartridge of sedative to knock his stupid ass out.
Yelena complied with what was said, while the Widow got ready to HEAD BACK IN and yank the baby bird out. Shit was crazy in there, because Deadpool had already gotten to work…
