No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2

Chapter 99: Another Sunset (Part 9)

Speaking of being "obsessed," Wade Wilson started inspecting one of his swords, and the mercenary thought to himself that it was time to sharpen them once again.

Ezekiel, or well, the "White Jackal" was wrapping up everything that was going on at the warehouse. Another team from S.H.I.E.L.D. was sent in to handle everything within the building they were in, and the "bust" that took place there meant that the Milwaukee warehouse had become S.H.I.E.L.D. property.

Wade didn't think much of that, because confiscating land from Ezekiel Stane was part of the act. Everything going on did interest the mercenary, but he refused to involve himself in too many of the details. His eyes continued to scan the area while Ezekiel handled things, then before he knew it, the two of them were alone..

Well, alone? Ezekiel Stane was never actually alone, and that was something the Jackal had accepted a long time ago. He felt like returning to the roof while the warehouse was cleared out beneath them. Wade was there beside him, so Ezekiel decided to take his protector home..

Their bodies went through that transportation thing once again. Wade felt all tingly and wiggly again beneath his skin. He loved the feeling, and Ezekiel enjoyed the way the mercenary behaved. He was very funny, and dear to him, just like Victor Strange. That trashed up home in the Bronx took shape around both of them, and Wade said something about finishing up his breakfast.

They all ate super fast, and none of them slept because of the Surveillant Council review, so Wade was in the mood to reset his entire morning. He also had to busy himself, because it had been a while since he had Ezekiel alone in his crash pad like that. Well, really, it had only been a couple days. Ezekiel was there with him before Tony Stark performed at the Stark Expo, and then he didn't return…

Ezekiel worked things out with Victor, and that was great. All of that was, great. SO the mercenary just returned to his breakfast. Everything was cold, so he got the microwave ready to zap. The Jackal removed his armor, and he watched him. There were things that Ezekiel wanted to bring up and possibly clarify, because Wade Wilson seemed very affected by what was said during the review.

Specifically speaking, Ezekiel noticed Wade's reaction to the way he responded to Charles Xavier. The Jackal felt a bit more than tongue-tied about it when he planned out what to say, so he said nothing. He assumed that was extremely frustrating, but he honestly couldn't help it.

"If everything is still a work in progress for you, or whatever, it's fine. Seriously."

Wade could read the room, so he gave what he could see a small shrug. He was a bit older than Ezekiel and Victor, so the mercenary was in no hurry for things to get all spelled out and defined between them. I mean, a conversation would be nice, but Ezekiel Stane was a special case as well, so… no rush. Wade definitely had a soft spot for him, and he planned to protect him as much as he could.

"Would you join Victor and I, in Nebraska?"

Ezekiel wanted him there. He planned to leave Wade Wilson that day, then return to what he was feeling shortly after. The Jackal wanted to speak to Victor about it first, and talk to him about what he hadn't been able to confess. The words were still stuck somewhere. Ezekiel could feel them, so he glanced down toward his chest.

"Join you two, in Nebraska? Those are words I've never heard before. Sure. I'm down for that."

Wade was good with that. He finally took his mask off and tossed it somewhere, then he removed the straps that were attached to his swords. The man was beyond hungry, so he sat down and he began to eat. Ezekiel was welcome to join himifhe was sticking around, but the mercenary was catching the vibe that sticking around wasn't the case.

Maybe things would change, after Nebraska? Who knew, so Wade just looked up at that White Jackal. Ezekiel said nothing else as he approached the table. He moved a chair toward him, then he took a seat directly beside Wade. He didn't want to leave him in that moment at all, but the Jackal needed to have a discussion with Victor first. It all was coming to an ending point, or reaching something that felt final, or…

Kissing someone was an easier way to express feelings, sometimes. Ezekiel found it easier to express himself that way, so he did something physical to explain himself to Wade in that moment. He just, kissed him, and the gentle notion was welcomed. Wade was still thinking about what Ezekiel revealed to everyone during the meeting.

The quiet coyote told everyone that he was on his mind. Wade actually "dominated" his thoughts, and hearing that just made his day. Wade felt a little more than stuck on it, and the mercenary meant it when he said he'd gotten used to having Ezekiel around. He wanted him around all the time, and Victor. That cutie was more than welcome too.

Wade didn't have an issue communicating what he wanted, so he spoke with confidence and told Ezekiel how he felt right then and there. He said that he liked him. He wanted him around, and Victor, so the two of them would have to figure out how that was going to work. Wade didn't sweat the details, and he didn't care about them either…

"Ok. We'll talk tonight, and figure that out.."

Groovy. Wade held a playful smile, then he returned his focus back toward his food. Ezekiel felt safe within his secluded home. He made sure Deadpool understood that before he transported himself there, then he started looking around for Victor Strange. The Sorcerer Supreme was carrying a stack of boxes through the house, and the sight of him took Ezekiel down memory lane.

He remembered the moment when he first met Victor, so he stopped him and helped him with his boxes. A goofy laugh took place, as expected, and Ezekiel thought it was cute.
