Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Destiny. Enjoy the 800-word story. I do not own Destiny; Bungie and a few others do.
The Vex was an odd design upon which the galaxy guardians did not seek to understand… Perhaps they were not meant to understand the cybernetic creatures.
Perhaps it was part of life for them to understand. Something within them was too much now.
Something like this was beyond what they were used to dealing with… Now? Now they were being studied.
The Vex were odd, too odd to be ignored. The idea some worshipped the darkness made plenty think they were evil, being willing to worship the fundamental forces of evil.
Others were aware the Vex had not infringed upon Earth. Their forces were busy focusing on other planets and waging war with all other species.
It was odd, odd enough that the last city had commissioned a small fireteam to study them.
And since Mars was a warzone and Mercury was crawling with them? The team had been sent to Venus, to study them.
What little the team had been able to put together since arrival? The Vex wanted something in the golden era cities, they competed with the Fallen for it.
It was something odd for now…. Something about their complex strategy, strategies within it all had been odd, very odd now.
The Vex had odd strategies but simple ones. He would watch Harpies, the small drones like Vex take potshots, luring in the Fallen so Hobgoblin, the sniper-like Vex to nail them.
It was odd. Guardians fought armies of them and yet they never once seemed to use strategy, simply marching endlessly at the enemy, eager to crush them under metal feet.
It reminded The Guardian of a pre-golden age movie with time-traveling robots… Had the Vex seen it? Had they based their society to revolve around it? The oddity of just HOW they moved was something that he could have studied for hours.
Something about it all was all too much interest to distract himself. The Vex would still come to attack them sooner or later, provoking some sort of chaos.
If nothing else? There was going to be something to study, something for him to understand when it was said and done… All of it made the guardians curious if they should help the fallen.
Then again? Helping either side would not help them study… And they would not be able to relax, understanding their mission had to come first… It was just odd now.
Then again? They were odd… Odd enough he did not at all understand them. He would not be able to relax now but it was too much now, far too much at the end of this day, at the end of all days.
Perhaps this was just more than he could ask, more than once he had managed to understand himself once again… And right now.
He was all too much surprised at the time being. it was too much at the time, something about it all had been a lot.
He had a lot of different ideas at the end of the day… Something about this all had been tiring at the end of it all. All of it was too chaotic at the end, relaxed once more and sighed to himself.
The Guardian was thrown for a loop, watching the two soldiers who were all too distracted at the end of it all… Something about it all had been too much now and good, they had a lot more left now and good.
At the end of the day? This much chaos was all too distracting at the end of the day.
What the Vex did confuse him, he had no real idea of HOW this was going on at the time being… Something like this was bothering them with every single work.
He had been too tired to distract it for now… He had a lot more to deal with this sort of thing.
He had a lot more to deal with for now and good enough reason… Something about it all was beautiful, it was a lot more chaotic now than it should have been.
It was all too much, something about it all had been an idea now than anything at the time being.
He had a lot more to deal with. A lot more, something like this was not at all going to help.
It was just too much, far too soon…. And an odd thing for now. He had been broken within soon enough, a lot more to deal with for now and always.

Phew. The first chapter is done! The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-6500 words and will show the fight between the Vex and the Fallen. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out for the time being!
