That night, Weiss was unable to sleep so she went to check on Ruby.
"You can't sleep either?" asked Ruby who was sitting up and looking out a window when Weiss walked in.
"Yeah, there's too much to think about," said Weiss.
"Guess that's my fault," said Ruby.
"Will you stop that, you idiot," said Weiss.
"None of this is your fault and you don't have to keep saying it is," she said.
"Can you even look at me the same as before?" asked Ruby who was beginning to cry, her grasp on the covers tightening as she spoke.
"Of course I can," said Weiss, who had gotten on the bed to hug the crying girl.
"You will always be the goofball, great leader, and cookie loving girl that I fell in love with," she said while placing her head on Ruby's shoulder so she was talking right into her ear.
"You mean it?" asked Ruby as she turned to face Weiss.
"You bet your butt I do," said Weiss. The two of them then shared a kiss.
"Now come on, how about the two of us try to get some sleep?" asked the white haired girl.
"We do have a big day ahead of us tomorrow," said Ruby who finally smiled. They then settled in and quickly fell asleep in each other's arms. Meanwhile, Ozpin was talking with Eraser Head.
"Are you sure?" asked Ozpin.
"We have been able to help stop the danger you were facing," said Eraser Head.
"Now it's up to you and the people of this world to fix the damage done here and we have to get back to our world in order to fight our enemies," he said.
"You're right, but lets next meet on a better reason," said Ozpin while the two shook hands
