The intelligence unit were at their usual bar. Molly's, but someone was missing from the group. Erin, which worried Jay, because he knew how stressful her board meeting was, wondering if she was getting stripped or given another chance to prove herself.
Hailey Upton, the newest member of the team, was sitting next to Jay, trying to engage in conversations with the others, but they weren't interested.
"Earth to Jay?" Hailey commented.
Jay looked up from his cell phone, and looked at Hailey.
"Yeah?"
Hailey looked at him, with a weird expression.
"You good? I've been calling your name for the past hour."
Jay sighed, he had to get it together.
"Yeah, I-I'm good…"
Hailey nodded at him, and continued her conversation with Antonio.
The heat was now off Jay, giving him the chance to meet Erin before she headed off to New York.
"I'll be one minute!" Jay told everyone.
Everyone gave subtle nods, and carried on with their conversations, but it was Will, he picked up on his baby brother's behavior.
"Jay! Wait up!"
Jay stopped, hearing his brother's voice.
"What, man?"
Will placed a hand on his shoulder, feeling the nervous trembles ready to burst.
"What's going on?"
Jay sighed, looking at the time.
He had twenty minutes to get to O'Hare Airport.
"I'm going to see Erin,"
Will looked at him. I thought they were no longer together?
"Erin? I thought you two broke up?" Will asked him.
Jay nodded, sighing.
"Yes! I'm planning on proposing, but I can't, if you keep standing in my way!"
Will raised his hands in mock surrender, and stepped aside.
"I won't stand in your way, but little brother, you sure 'bout this? Erin could say no."
No, I really hope she doesn't…
Jay sighed, and gave one last comment to Will.
"Will, she's the love of my life, I want to be there for her, through the good, the bad, and the ugly. I love her, and nothing is going to change that…"
Will nodded at him, and pulled him into a brotherly hug.
"Well, go get her, little brother!"
Jay smiled and nodded.
"Yo! You better get to the airport quick! Flight to JFK leaves in fifteen minutes!" Will reminded.
Jay didn't give an answer, he just ran out of the bar, and hopped into his truck, and hoped it wasn't too late.
*O'HARE AIRPORT*
Erin was sitting at the coffee table in the coffee shop, with all her luggage packed into two large suitcases.
Lots and Lots of thoughts ran through her head.
Leaving Jay?
Leaving Hank?
Leaving family?
Her head felt like it was the right thing, but her heart was a different story.
As the thoughts ran through her mind, she heard the flight announcement.
This is the final boarding call for Flight 1234 with service from Chicago O'Hare International Airport to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport. All remaining passengers, please proceed to Gate B22 immediately.
We remind you to have your boarding passes and identification ready for inspection. Thank you for flying with us, and we wish you a pleasant journey.
Erin grabbed her luggage, and walked towards the gate.
As Erin walked towards the gate, she pulled out her plane ticket and handed it to the flight attendant.
"Thank you, ma'am. Have a safe flight," the attendant smiled.
Erin took her plane ticket, and walked towards her waiting plane.
She noticed the snow falling on her face and hair, and she closed her eyes to stop the tears from rolling down.
Damn, she's gonna miss the windy city.
Erin got onto the plane and found her plane seat.
As she got settled in with her flight pillow, and earphones, she heard the announcement.
"We are very sorry for the delay, ladies and gentlemen. We have got a unboarded passenger causing a disturbance. We are currently dealing with the problem as we speak."
As the passengers talked amongst themselves, they heard the argument between the staff and the unboarded passenger.
"NO! I need to talk to my girlfriend!" ? shouted.
Erin's ears lit up, she didn't know if her mind was playing tricks on her, but she recognised that voice anywhere.
Jay.
"Okay! I'll be only ten minutes!" Jay promised.
As Erin looked over, she was right. It was her partner.
What was he doing here?
Jay scanned the passengers and apologised, as he made his way through the aisle.
Then he spotted her. Erin,
"There you are!"
Erin looked up at the voice, and saw the man who stole her heart.
"Jay…"
Jay smiled at her and sat on the floor.
"So, before you ask, yes I was the disturbance on the plane…"
Erin burst into giggles and looked down.
That was her Jay.
"Anyway! I wanted to talk to you before you left for good, because I want to do something to show how much I love you."
Erin blushed and looked at all the staring passengers.
"Not that!" Jay exclaimed.
Erin took a deep breath, relieved.
As Jay got up, he got on one knee.
The passengers all gasped and looked over.
"Erin-Louise-Lindsay, I love you so much, I love what man you made me become, my life isn't complete without you in it. So, this is why I want to do this.
Erin knew what was happening, she was in pieces, happy pieces.
"Jay, babe…" Erin sniffled.
Jay pulled out the box and opened it up to reveal a shiny ring.
"Erin Lindsay, will you do me the greatest honor and become my wife?"
Erin sobbed and nodded.
"YES! OMG! YES!" Erin shouted.
Jay got up and sniffled.
"Well, c'mere, fiancée."
Erin got up and unbuckled her seatbelt and threw herself in his arms.
"THAT'S WHAT I CALL A GOOD DISTURBANCE!" One of the fellow passengers shouted.
Erin and Jay kissed, and Jay spun her around.
"Hate to cut this short, but are you staying on or leaving?" The attendant asked.
Erin opened the luggage overhead door and pulled out her luggage.
"Let's go!" Erin smiled.
Jay picked her up, and looked at the fellow passengers.
"Thank you for all your love!"
Erin thwacked him and giggled.
They both got off the plane and the plane took off.
"That was the best proposal ever!" Erin whispered.
Jay smirked and kissed Erin.
"Come on, you!"
Erin and Jay walked back into the airport, hand in hand, ready to spend the rest of their lives together.
