It was the next day after Jay's proposal to Erin, and they were now in bed, tangled in each other's arms.

Jay woke up first, sitting up, then noticing his beautiful fiancée, asleep next to him.

"Morning, Fiancée…"

Erin smiled, and groaned.

"Morning, Fiancé."

Jay loved her morning voice, her voice with extra husk.

"What do you wanna do today, babe?"

Erin stretched and let out a small morning whimper.

"Well, I want pancakes, but this time, I want to be able to eat them…"

Jay thwacked her, and giggled.

"And, I wanna have some fun time with you in this bed, then, I wanna go to the gun range to try out those new .55 mags."

Jay laughed and whispered.

"I love all those things, do you know what else I love?"

Erin smirked, shaking her head.

"I love you and doing all those things with you…"

Erin placed her warm hand against his cheek, and kissed him.

"Flattery will get you everywhere, Halstead."

Jay laughed and climbed on top of her.

"Is it fun time yet?"

Erin sighed, and looked down.

"I guess, then we'll do pancakes!"

Jay roared and nibbled onto Erin's neck.

Erin let out a soft giggle, and pulled Jay's head further down.

Later, Erin and Jay were on they're way to the precinct, and they were flirting.

As Erin drove through the streets of Chicago, the snow fell on the window.

"Y'know, you looked quite pale this morning, you okay?"

Jay nodded and leant on the cool window.

"You sure, I don't mind if you need me to pull over?"

Jay shook his head, and coughed.

"No, keep…keep driving…"

Erin gave a subtle nod and took one hand off the wheel, and started to softly rake her fingers through his dark hair.

"That feel good?" Erin wondered.

Jay nodded and closed his eyes.

"You'll be okay, babe, just take it easy today."

Jay's eyes shut as Erin pulled into the precinct.

Erin turned off the engine, and noticed Jay fast asleep.

She didn't wake him up, instead she opened the glovebox, got they're gear out and got out of the truck.

The door slammed closed, and Erin walked over to Jay's door and opened it.

Jay didn't wake up to the movement, he must be in a deep sleep.

My poor baby.

Erin reached in and unbuckled Jay's seatbelt, and it automatically went back to its original position.

"Babe, time to wake up…"

Jay slowly opened his eyes and noticed they were at the precinct.

"Come on, let's get you inside." Erin cooed.

She helped him out of the truck and closed the door with a gentle thud.

Jay leaned on her shoulder, and Erin gripped his hand, as they walked into the back entrance of the precinct.

The bullpen was quiet, everyone on their paperwork.

Ruzek was the first one to look up, and he smiled.

"Hey! Heard you came back!" He smiled.

Erin nodded and the rest of the guys all greeted them.

"What's up with, Halstead?" Dawson asked.

Erin sighed, sitting Jay at his desk, then walking to hers.

"I think he's just under the weather, I said, "take it easy," but when does he ever listen to me?"

Dawson laughed softly, and drank his coffee.

As the day progressed, Jay was struggling to keep his head up.

Erin noticed and walked slowly over to him.

"Hey, how you feeling now, baby?"

Jay shrugged, and scooted away from his desk.

"You're all sweaty, babe." Erin whispered.

Jay nodded and felt his stomach swirl as the nausea began to creep up.

"Jay, you gonna be sick?" Erin asked.

Jay gave a slow nod and rushed towards the locker room.

I knew it

Erin got up, grabbed a glass of water, and followed him to the locker room,

As Erin pushed the door open, she saw Jay puking his guts out.

Erin placed the glass down and grabbed the towel.

"C'mere, babe."

Jay coughed and leaned back.

"Let's clean you up a bit…"

Jay closed his eyes and felt the bile creep up once more.

"It's okay, get it out, don't fight it, baby…" Erin soothed.

Jay cried, feeling absolutely awful, and he cuddled into Erin.

"Hey, let's lie you on the bench."

Erin helped Jay lie down and covered him with the blanket from her locker.

"I'll let Hank know, then we'll go home."

Jay gave a slow nod, and fell asleep.

Erin left the locker room, and walked into Hank's office.

"Lindsay, what can I do for you?"

Erin leaned on the chairs, and gave the details.

"Jay's not well, and I think it's best if I take him home."

Hank leaned back, arms crossed.

"Alright. I knew he was unwell, when he walked in, take him home and keep him home until he's better, that goes for you as well, I'll give you both the week, and I'll ask Burgess to drop off the paperwork."

Erin smiled, relieved that she was able to get a week off to look after her fiancé.

"Thanks, Hank!"

Erin left the office and walked back to the locker room.

As she pushed open the door, she noticed Jay fast asleep,

"Hon, let's go."

Jay woke up, and sat up.

"Home?"

Erin nodded and helped Jay lean on her.

"Home after, I wanna drop by the pharmacy to pick up some meds."

Jay groaned and whined.

"Shh, you can lie in the backseat…"

Erin and Jay got themselves together, and walked out of the precinct.

As they got to the truck, Jay lied in the backseat, and Erin went to the trunk.

Erin opened the trunk, and grabbed a pillow and blanket from their camping trip.

She shut the trunk, and walked back to the backseat.

"Head up for me, babe."

Jay slowly lifted his head and lied back on the pillow.

"This should keep you warm, till we get home." Erin smiled.

Jay whimpered, closing his eyes.

"Poor baby, I know you're not feeling well…" Erin cooed.

Erin got behind the wheel, and locked the doors, then drove out.

After an hour. Erin unlocked the apartment door and helped Jay inside.

"Let's get you settled on the couch, and I'll measure out the meds."

Jay collapsed onto the couch, and fell asleep, and Erin took a minute to rake her fingers through his hair, which she knew helped his headache, guessing from earlier.

"You can sleep, it's okay, I'll wake you up when dinner's ready."

Erin got up, and quickly measured out the meds and walked back to Jay.

"After this, you can go back to sleep, but, first, I need you to take these meds."

Jay didn't put up much of a protest, because he didn't have the energy.

"There you go, good man!"

Jay lied back down and fell asleep.

Later, Erin and Jay ate some dinner, and Jay left half of it, but it was enough to get some food into him.

Erin finished washing the dishes, and walked back to Jay.

"How you feeling, babe, after that soup?"

Jay groaned and whimpered.

"How do you think?"

Erin didn't take the sharpness of his words to heart, because she knew how his attitude was when he was sick.

"You'll get better, this is only temporary, hopefully…"

Jay sneezed and groaned, his sinuses burning.

Erin noticed, and gently placed his head on her thighs, and pulled his hood down.

She gently massaged his sinuses, and Jay let out a sigh.

"That feels good…" Jay mumbled.

Erin smiled, keeping up with her massage, and one hand scratching his back.

Later, the massage soon put Jay to sleep, and Erin was watching "Supernatural"

Erin looked down at her fiancé, glad that she was going to spend the rest of her life with him.

"Er," Jay whispered.

Erin smiled, looking down.

"What's going on, babe."

Jay felt self conscious, so he decided to leave it.

"Nothing, don't matter…"

Erin pouted, she knew how self conscious, Jay was when he was sick, but she wanted him to be able to tell her anything.

"No, baby, you can tell me anything."

Jay sighed, knowing he couldn't get out of it.

"Can you keep massaging my sinuses, it felt so good…"

Erin awed, and nodded.

"Course' I can, you just relax, it's okay."

Jay nodded and closed his eyes, going back into his sleep.

As Erin continued her ministrations, she turned the tv to Netflix.

Jay woke up, and he puked into the bucket.

"Woah, baby! It's okay, bubbas, don't fight it…" Erin soothed.

Jay coughed and sobbed, and Erin gently rocked him in her arms.

"Time to go to bed, Jay." Erin suggested.

Erin wrapped a blanket around his shoulders, and held him close.

As they walked upstairs, they walked into their bedroom, and settled down.

Jay cuddled into her chest, and fell asleep.

As Erin lowered her hand back down, she fell asleep.
