"If those Sailor Guardians find the Legendary Silver Crystal before we do, they could cause us serious problems," Queen Beryl said, narrowing her eyes at him over the scrying-crystal that she used to observe the human world as she made her plans. "To say nothing of the fact that that schoolboy continues to elude our grasp. Have you still been unable to locate the Legendary Silver Crystal?"

"I'm afraid I haven't," he said, bowing his head in supplication.

"You have failed several times by now," Queen Beryl said, and every line of her face and body told Jadeite that he was beginning to tread the very edges of her patience. "Still, I will offer you another chance to redeem yourself. Go collect more human energy, destroy those troublesome Chosen Warriors, and fetch that schoolboy for us."

"Thank you, ma'am," he said, bowing deeper; he'd little doubt that, if this plan of his failed as all of his previous plans had done, his meager chances would dwindle all the farther. "I'll see to it at once."

The sound of police sirens, never a good thing as far as Trevor was concerned, blared as a pair of cars with their lights flashing brightly drove by.

"I wonder what happened," Usagi muttered, her grip on his right arm tightening as the pair of them continued making their way through the city.

"I don't know, but it might be one of the Dark Kingdom's plans," he said, following the trail of the police cars with his eyes for a long moment, before returning his focus to where he and Usagi were headed; if it was one of the Dark Kingdom's plans, he was sure to find out later.

Even if he wouldn't be able to do much about it.

"Ami-chan!" Usagi called, hurrying over to meet their friend and her fellow Guardian. "Where are you off to?"

"I'm going to cram school," Ami said, as the three of them joined up with each other.

"Wow, you take a bus all the way to cram school?" Usagi asked, sounding about as surprised as he'd ever heard her.

"I'd take a plane, if it meant I'd be able to go to a good cram school," Ami said, a determined sort of smile on her face.

Another police car went by, and Trevor found a shudder crawling up his spine; more and more, it was beginning to seem like this was one of the Dark Kingdom's plans. Sighing softly as he looked at Usagi and Ami, Trevor found himself wishing once again that there was something he could do, when these kinds of situations came up. Being helpless wasn't something anyone would enjoy, he didn't think.

"I wonder where all of those police cars are going," he muttered, moving as close as he dared to the street, to see if he might be able to tell just where it was that all of them were on their way to.

"You mean, you don't know what happened on this bus route?" Naru's familiar voice asked, drawing his attention away from the road.

"Something happened?" Usagi asked, before he could speak up; he'd have asked the same question, though, so he supposed it didn't really matter.

"It happened yesterday, at a little past 6 p.m.," the girl standing next to Naru said; Trevor berated himself again for forgetting her name so easily, and made himself remember to be nicer to her to make up for that. "A bus filled with passengers suddenly disappeared!"

"That sounds scary," he said, thinking of how he would have felt, if he'd ended up on one of those busses, dragged away from anything and everything he knew.

"I know," Naru said, shuddering slightly, herself. "Do you know about the bus stop called Sendai-Zakaue?"

"I think so," Usagi said, just before he could have said the same thing. "It's where the five streets all meet, isn't it?"

"Yeah," Naru said, shuddering as she leaned in just that much closer. "That's where a bus close to fifty people disappeared!"

"The police tried to keep it a secret," Naru's other friend said. "Thinking it might be a mass kidnapping, but no demands were ever made, so they made it public and opened up an investigation."

"The cursed 6 o'clock bus," Ami muttered, and he snapped around to look at her.

"The what?" he asked, wondering if she'd heard something about this kind of thing from her friends at cram school, or if it had just been something that he and Usagi hadn't heard about for some reason.

"The curse 6 o' clock bus; people say that if you get on that bus, you'll be doomed to disappear, too," Naru-san said, shuddering.

"There's a Hikawa Shrine near Sendai-Zaka," Usagi said, her tone quavering even as he stepped over to wrap his right arm around her shoulders. "And their amulets are known for warding off evil. Why don't we all go and get some?"

"Yeah," Naru-san said, confidence returning to her voice once again. "I hear the Shrine Maiden there has really strong spiritual powers. She can even predict the future with incredible accuracy!"

For a moment, Trevor had the thought of asking this Shrine Maiden about the Moon Princess that Luna-sensei seemed to be looking for without very much success at all. Still, there was more than a fair chance that Luna-sensei was already aware of the Shrine Maiden and what she could do, and hence had already spoken to her. There was also a chance that, considering Luna-sensei's stance on bringing uninvolved people into their struggle, the cat would reject the idea out of hand.

In the end, they all agreed to go to the Hikawa Shrine to buy some of their amulets; all except for Ami, who had to go to cram school.

When they all made it to the shrine, Trevor found himself surprised by how much it really did look like some of the shrines that he'd seen pictured in some of Usagi's manga; at least the ones that dealt with things happening in places that were fairly normal, anyway. He also noticed that there seemed to be a lot of other people who'd gotten the idea to buy amulets from this place. Still, it didn't seem like most of them were interested in the kind of amulets that Usagi, Naru-san, and the others had been talking about.

~SM~

When she began sensing that same, strange disturbance that she'd been aware of for such a long time, though of a slightly different nature than she'd gotten used to, Rei stood up and went to investigate. If fate was in her favor this time, she might actually manage to find out what was going on, rather than finding herself running in circles all over again. Once she spotted what her Grandpa was doing, however…

"Grandpa!" she exclaimed, trying as hard as she could not to stalk her way over to where he was, along with the group – three girls, naturally, along with a single boy who seemed confused by everything that was going on; though if he had known, he'd have been as offended as she was finding herself, Rei knew – he'd been harassing. "Stop hitting on everyone, would you?!"

"Oh! Hi, Rei!" he called, trying to play innocent, as usual.

"People around here are starting to say very unflattering things about you!" she snapped, annoyed with his attempts; not to mention all of the other things she was having to deal with… The sudden, urgent warning from her sixth-sense, combined with the evil-intent she could feel practically dripping from the air all around the shrine- "I sense an evil aura! Is it a spirit?! Trying to make trouble for our shrine! Forget it!" Drawing out an ofuda, she charged it with spiritual energy. "Evil spirit, be exorcised!"

"Usagi!"

The sudden shout from the boy she'd seen among the group of girls, as he ran to catch the girl with her hair in buns on top of her head, brought Rei firmly back to the place she was; and what she'd just done.

"Miss, what were you trying to do?" the boy asked, looking at her as though he didn't quite know whether he should be angry at her or not, but he was clearly worried about the girl Rei had knocked out with her ofuda.

"I'm so sorry; I didn't mean for it to turn out like this," she said, bowing apologetically to the boy as he held the girl up so she wouldn't end up on the ground; particularly in front of Grandpa, since she knew he'd love seeing that. "Come on; let's get your friend somewhere she can lay down while she gets better."

"Thank you, Miss," the boy said, falling into step with her as she led him and the rest of the girl's friends into her and Grandpa's house so that she would be able to rest and recover.

I was so sure I could feel that evil presence coming from this area, Rei mused, clenching her jaw as she continued guiding that boy and his friends to her room. What's happening to my sixth-sense?

~SM~

Biting back laughter as hard as he could, as he watched that fool schoolboy obediently following the girl whose shrine had provided such an opportune place for the enactment of his next plan, Jadeite steadied himself as best as he could. Truly, it seemed as though fate itself was in his favor; now, if only he could manage to overcome the interference from those annoying Sailor Guardians and lay proper claim to the schoolboy he'd been seeing so much of lately. Quickly gathering what he needed so that his presence in the room of that troublesome fortune-teller wouldn't seem too out of place, Jadeite made his way to the room where the fortune-teller had ensconced herself and those girls.

As well as the troublesome schoolboy who continued to elude him.

~SM~

Once the strange man, who Rei hadn't managed to get a real read on since he'd arrived at the Hikawa Shrine in the first place, had left after setting out a tray with towels and water on it, Rei couldn't help but notice the way the boy whose friend she'd accidentally knocked unconscious was looking at him.

"Hey, do you know who he is?" she asked, leaning in closer so that the pair of them would be able to speak without disturbing anyone else.

"No, I don't think so," he said, though he still sounded fairly uncertain about things. "But, he did seem kind of… familiar, for some reason."

That sounds even more suspicious, she mused; still, it seemed like the boy – whose name was Trevor, she recalled after a moment's thought – was genuinely confused about what it was that he'd just seen, so she'd probably be better served doing a fire-reading than trying to press Trevor for information that he didn't seem to have.

"Hey, was that guy your older brother?" Naru – one of the friends of the girl who she'd mistakenly knocked unconscious; Trevor had said that her name was Usagi – asked, a blush on her cheeks.

She got the feeling that something silly had been going on while she'd been trying to get answers from Trevor, but it also seemed that Usagi had woken up during that time, too.

"What? No, he's not," she said, wondering what had brought out that kind of an assumption; really, the two of them didn't look anything alike. "It's really all Grandpa's fault; he's so overly-friendly with everyone. It doesn't matter who visits the Shrine. That guy was just another customer, but Grandpa hired him as a live-in worker at the Shrine," Rei continued, feeling her face heat up slightly from the force of her annoyance.

The worst part of it was that she couldn't even tell what was wrong with him; much less find a way to put it into words that would convince Grandpa to get rid of the man.

"Your Grandpa seems like a really interesting person," Naru said, clearly trying to be diplomatic; Rei was glad for her discretion.

Grandpa was really weird, but he was still her Grandpa.

"Usagi-san, wasn't it?" she asked, changing the subject before the silence could go on too long. "I'm sorry about what happened."

"It's all right," the girl said, a gentle, reassuring smile on her face; for some reason, Rei felt really comfortable around her. "But, how did I even end up here?"

"Things have been really strange, lately," she said, in response to the looks of genuine interest on the faces of Usagi and all of her friends. "For one thing, my sixth-sense and prophecies used to be spot-on, but not anymore."

Before she could say anything more, however, the sound of heavy, stomping footsteps in the hall distracted all of their attention from the pleasant conversation that they were all having. When the door to her room was slammed open, and Rei saw the irate older woman glaring down at them all, she knew that this particular interruption wasn't going to be nearly as pleasant.

"Where is the Shrine Priest in charge of this place?!" the old woman demanded, fury in every line of her face.

"What's this about?" she asked in return, knowing that she wasn't going to like the answer, but wanting it all the same.

"My daughter hasn't come home since she left to buy one of your amulets! I've been told that the head priest always performs a special prayer at 5:30 p.m.! Is that to make sure that everyone goes out on that cursed 6 p.m. bus?!"

"Stop making wild accusations!" she said, trying as hard as she could not to snap at the woman; dealing with so many people like her for so long made things harder, of course. "The 5:30 p.m. prayers have been going on for a long time! And the police have already questioned us about the missing bus! Why don't you go talk to them, instead?!" she demanded, getting back to her feet so she'd be able to stand over the old woman; maybe that would finally make her point. "Grandpa has nothing to do with this! Get out!"

The old woman stomped out of her room, but she still had the nerve to imply that Rei was the one being rude, when all she'd actually done was to defend her grandpa from all of the wrongful accusations that had been thrown at him by the callous people who didn't seem to know any better. She was the rude one; that old woman and everyone like her who had been doing nothing but causing trouble for everyone who lived and worked at the Hikawa Shrine.

"Rei-san, the trouble you've been having with your sixth-sense, did it start when the buses started disappearing?"

The sound of Trevor's voice was the first thing to take her mind off of the sheer annoyance she'd been feeling, but it was what he'd actually said that got her attention.

"You think they might actually be connected?" she asked, startled for a moment, and then finding herself wondering why she hadn't thought about that kind of thing before. "That, whatever kind of evil force has been taking those people, it's also interfering with my sixth-sense?"

"I think it might be," Trevor said, though there was something in his tone that made Rei suspect that he might know more than he was saying.

She didn't know quite what that might have been, since she'd seen enough of Trevor's actions to know that he was too kind a person to be involved with whatever evil force had been causing so much trouble around the Shrine. Still, she also got the feeling that that kind of thing wasn't something he'd be comfortable about discussing with so many other people present.

"I'm going to perform a fire-reading," she said, holding out her right hand to Trevor, even as she wondered why he seemed to be tensing up in response. "Would you like to come with me?"

"Thank you for the offer, Rei-san, but we really should be going," Trevor said, turning quickly to Usagi so that he could help her to her feet. "Thank you again for your hospitality."

As Trevor and the three girls who had come in with him all departed, Rei couldn't help but notice the stiff tension that seemed to have invaded every line of his body as he tagged along with his three friends.

~SM~

When she and Trevor-nii had gotten out of Rei-chan's room, Usagi reached out to wrap her left arm around his waist, knowing that he wouldn't be able to feel anything if she tried to pat him on the back or anything like that.

"Thanks, Usa-ko," he said, though she could hear in his tone and still feel the way he was shuddering at the thought of what Rei-chan was probably doing even now.

Once Naru-chan and her friend had left, Usagi looked down at Luna-sensei as she felt an insistent paw on her right foot.

"What is it, Luna-sensei?"

"Call Ami-chan," the kitty said, a serious look on her furry face.

"What? But, Ami-chan's in the middle of cram school," she said, not wanting to interrupt her friend while she was doing something that was so obviously important to her; even though Usagi didn't understand how someone who already went to school could end up wanting more school.

"This is more important than school!" Luna-sensei exclaimed. "A whole lot of people have gone missing! Just call her and tell her to get here quickly!"

~SM~

"This is the Dark Kingdom's work, isn't it?" he asked, while Usagi went off to find a payphone so that she could call Ami-chan and tell her to meet them at the Sendai-Zaka-ue bus stop.

"I'm almost completely certain of it, now," Luna-sensei said, pinning him with a serious expression. "Which means that you should be particularly careful, since the Dark Kingdom clearly wants to get their hands on you, just as much as they want the human energy they're always trying to collect."

"I'll try," he said, not wanting to disappoint Luna-sensei, but also knowing that if there were any way that he could help Usagi in her protracted struggle with the Dark Kingdom, he'd do it.

No matter what it cost him, in the end.

When Usagi and Ami both made it back to the Sendai-Zaka bus stop, where he and Luna-sensei had elected to wait for them, Trevor narrowed his eyes as he saw the oblivious-looking group of girls making their way towards what had to be the cursed 6 p.m. bus that he'd heard so many people talking about. Especially if the bad feeling he was getting from it was any indication.

"Look, all of those girls have amulets from Hikawa Shrine," Ami said, as the four of them made their way over to where the group of girls had all gathered, waiting for the 6 o'clock bus.

Trevor had an even worse feeling than before, especially when he got close enough to see the expressions on their faces; or the lack of them, since not a single one of those girls seemed to know where they were or what they were doing.

"Wow, so every one of these girls is in love with someone?" Usagi wondered aloud.

"I think this must be the Dark Kingdom's work," he said, leaning in close so that he'd be able to speak privately to Usagi and Ami, even though he didn't think that any of the girls crowding the bus stop were in any fit state to listen in on what they were doing; it just didn't feel right to do anything else. "None of those girls seems to know where they're going or what they're doing."

"You're right, Trevor-san," Ami said, looking back up at all of the girls who'd gathered at the bus stop, seeming to have been drawn to the place by some means or other.

"The bus is coming!" Usagi hissed, drawing their attention to the growling engine that had been getting louder and louder while he and Ami had been talking.

"Ah, it's 5:59 already!" Ami exclaimed, as the three of them who were actually standing all turned to look at the bus for the Sendai-Zaka route.

There was something ominous about it, but Trevor couldn't be sure if that kind of thing was actually true, or if the feeling was just a product of his suspicions about what was ultimately going on.

"It just looks like an ordinary bus," Ami commented, leaving Trevor to wonder if it had just been his suspicions that made it seem more ominous than it actually was.

Or else, if the youma from the Dark Kingdom had just stolen an ordinary bus, and the bad feeling he was getting was actually coming from the driver; whoever or whatever it actually was…

When the bus stopped in front of them, and all of the girls who had bought the Dark Kingdom's cursed amulets all started climbing aboard, Trevor couldn't help but notice the way both Usagi and Ami seemed reluctant to board the bus in front of them. He thought it was probably the same kind of ominous feeling that he'd been getting himself, ever since the bus had pulled up to the bus stop where the four of them were standing.

"Why don't you three stay here," he suggested, glancing briefly at the bus, before returning his attention to Usagi, Ami, and Luna-sensei. "I can handle this."

"Trevor-san, are you sure?" Ami asked, a worried expression on her face as the three of them discussed their next course of action; still, Trevor was more focused on the relief he could see on his little sister's face when he'd made the offer. "Luna told me that the Dark Kingdom is already interested in you for your powers."

"It won't be a problem, but thank you for being concerned," he said, bowing slightly to Ami, before feeling Usagi's arms wrapping around his waist.

"Trevor-nii, thank you so much!" she exclaimed, and he smiled as he wrapped his own arms around her in turn.

"Don't worry about it, Usa-ko," he said, smiling as the pair of them held each other close. "I'll take care of you, I promise."

Making his way onto the bus, at the back of the crowd of girls who had already gotten on themselves, Trevor couldn't help feeling a chill when the bus driver's gaze landed on him. She looked like any normal woman, if a bit stronger-featured than any of the ones that he'd ever met, but something about her just felt off. There was no more question in his mind of this being one of the Dark Kingdom's tricks.

All that remained now was to find out what they were actually doing.

~SM~

It'd been that boy Trevor who'd given her a better idea of just what she should be looking for, but there had also been something strange about him, too; the way he'd seemed to know the man Grandpa had hired to work at the shrine, even though he hadn't seemed to want to admit it, and the unnatural way he'd reacted to a simple fire-reading. It didn't make sense, so even though he had given her the idea of what direction she should take for her next search, she was first making it a point to see just what it was about him that was so odd.

"Rin, Pyo, Tou, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen," she said, folding her hands into the appropriate mudras as she recited the prayer that had always helped her to focus while she was meditating.

Concentrating on Trevor, Rei also held the image of the man who'd come to work at the Hikawa Shrine just before all of the trouble with those missing girls had started. She still wanted to know just what kind of a connection the pair of them possessed. And she found a connection, all right, but not remotely the one that she'd been expecting: the first thing her fire showed her was the man who'd come to work at their shrine holding Trevor up by his neck. And then, standing behind the boy, watching as some kind of demonic-looking creature stole his form – just like the stories of malicious kitsune she'd read during the time she'd been training to become a proper Miko – and smiling once he caught Trevor's unconscious form in his arms.

There was no question in her mind now, whatever that man had told Grandpa to get himself hired, he was a dangerous person; he was a liar, and his evil plans needed to be stopped!

But first, she'd need to warn Trevor that that man – who was probably using whatever kind of dark powers that he'd gotten from consorting with those demons he seemed to have allied himself with to cloud the mind of anyone who might have tried to find him – was dangerous and he'd need to get his friends to safety so that someone with experience in handling demonic forces and evil spirits would be able to deal with that man and his otherworldly allies. With that in mind, Rei stood back up from her fire and determinedly made her way back out onto the grounds of the Hikawa Shrine. Even as Phobos and Deimos fluttered down toward her, Rei heard the sound of rushing footsteps and looked over to see a pair of girls making their way over to her.

One of them she recognized as Trevor's friend Usagi, but the other girl was unfamiliar, and the boy himself was nowhere to be found; Rei had a bad feeling about what she was going to hear.

"Rei-chan, I saw one of the buses vanish right in front of me!" Usagi exclaimed, barely seeming to pause for breath before she was talking.

"Your friend Trevor is in danger," she said, knowing even more just how deeply connected the man and his demonic allies must have been to all of this; there was no way that this kind of thing could be a coincidence. "Maybe even more than he was already; you have to tell me where he is!"

"That's just what I was going to tell you, Rei-chan! Trevor-nii got on one of the buses to investigate what was going on, and then the bus vanished!"

Quickly putting aside the way Usagi had called Trevor her brother – the pair of them didn't look that much alike, but that kind of thing wasn't important at the moment – Rei bit down on the helpless rage that she could feel bubbling up inside her. Here was someone who had helped her to find out that there was a dangerous person who had managed to worm his way into Grandpa's good-graces – not that that kind of thing was very hard, but it was the principle of the thing – to find innocent girls to feed his demonic allies.

"Rei-san, do you know something about what's going on here?" the girl with short hair, who seemed to be another friend of Usagi's, asked as Rei turned her attention to her.

It didn't seem like she was asking because she was confused, but almost as though she knew something that Rei didn't, and was attempting to determine just what it was that Rei herself knew. Rei didn't know quite why the other girl was trying to find those kind of things out, but she didn't have the kind of bad feeling that she had gotten from the man who'd been hired by Grandpa to work at the Shrine, so she decided to see if she could trust her.

"The man my grandpa hired to work at our shrine has been consorting with demons," she said, watching the girl's face for any signs of the skepticism she'd seen so many people had shown when they were given a glimpse of the otherworldly powers that stood behind a great deal of otherwise-unexplainable occurrences. "He seems to be going after your friend's friend, which means that Trevor might be some kind of medium or something, for whoever that guy is working for to try getting their hands on so many times."

"You've already found out about the Dark Kingdom!" exclaimed a surprised-sounding voice, one that also didn't sound like either of the girls she'd actually seen talking to her. "That's wonderful; it'll make things go much easier from here on!"

"What? What's that strange presence I'm feeling?" she muttered, as Usagi reached down and picked up a black cat – for some reason – and lifted it up so it could seemingly get a better look at all of them as they talked.

"Ah, Rei-chan, this is Luna-sensei," Usagi said, looking more than a little sheepish; probably because what she was saying was completely insane.

Or else, it probably would have sounded that way to someone who hadn't possessed the kind of sixth-sense that Rei had gotten used to trusting since before she had even become a Miko.

"Do you know what's been going on around here?" she asked, turning her attention to the cat; she hadn't mistaken the glimmer of intelligence in its copper-colored eyes, particularly considering the way it nodded thoughtfully.

"Yes; an evil force called the Dark Kingdom has been attempting to steal energy from as many humans as they can," the cat said, her tail lashing with the force of her words, even as she clearly attempted to calm herself down. "In addition to that, they've also made nearly as many attempts on Trevor's life as they have to collect human energy. He seems to have some kind of power that could be beneficial to us, but he's so inexperienced at using it that all he seems to do is draw attention from the enemy."

"He really does seem to have the worst luck," the short-haired girl muttered, clearly thinking of Trevor but not seeming to realize that she'd spoken aloud.

"Anyway, you, Ami, and Usagi have all been chosen by destiny to become Sailor Guardians, and to protect this world and its people from the Dark Kingdom and all their youma," Luna said, a serious look on the cat's face, as she picked up something – well, it looked like some kind of ornate pen, really – with her mouth and handed it over to Rei with an expectant expression on her furry face.

"What's this?" she asked, looking from the cat to the pen and then back again.

"This is your personal Transformation Pen," the cat said, sitting up just that much straighter as she did so, giving Rei the impression that she took what she was saying a great deal more seriously than anyone else might have. "Just hold it up, and say 'Mars Power, Make Up'! And do it quickly! There's no telling what the Dark Kingdom might be doing to Trevor! We need to find that man you spotted here and confront him, quickly!"

"Right!"

~SM~

Waking up felt like trying to pull himself out of slushy, freezing water, and when he finally did manage to open his eyes, Trevor found himself firmly tied to something. He also found himself looking out into some kind of blue void, dotted with the forms of the city buses that had been dragged down into this strange place by whatever it was that the Dark Kingdom was trying to do. It couldn't have been anyone but the Dark Kingdom; no one else that he knew of had the kind of power it would take to break open another dimension like this.

And he didn't know of anyone else who was evil enough to kidnap so many innocent people, either.

The sight of the youma standing below whatever he'd ended up tied to clinched it in his mind, but just before the creature could turn its attention to him, Trevor caught sight of some kind of portal opening up in the sky. The sight of Usagi, Ami, and one other person who he couldn't quite recognize all falling down to the ground – which looked like some kind of colorless sand, and even moved like it when the three Sailor Guardians all landed – brought a relieved smile to his face. Even under the circumstances, he was glad not to have to face this youma or any of the Dark Kingdom's forces alone.

"Don't worry!" Usagi called up, looking right at him as Ami and the other senshi held off the attacking youma. "I'll get you down!"

"Thank you, Sailor Moon-san," he said, not wanting to give away Usagi's identity to the youma any more than anyone else here.

He still wondered who the new senshi fighting beside Ami was, but that kind of thing would clearly have to wait until the four of them had gotten out of this strange place; he didn't want to end up risking her safety, either. Nothing good would come of the Dark Kingdom managing to find out the identities of even one of the Sailor Senshi. They were already too much of a danger just knowing his, really.

Once Usagi had cut him down from the large stone that the youma had tied him too, she quickly joined back up with the other two Sailor Senshi she'd been fighting beside, and used her Moon Tiara again. This time, however, it was wrapped in that new Senshi's Fire Soul attack, completely obliterating the youma. Trevor sighed in relief, making his way over to where the three of them were standing.

"Come on, we have to leave!" Luna-sensei called, and Trevor looked up to where the cat was pointing with her paw. "That last attack is causing the dimensional portal to close!"

"How do we do that?!" Usagi demanded, but the loud honk of a bus' horn distracted the five of them before they could start discussing their plans in earnest.

"Come on! I'll drive you out of here! Hurry!"

"Tuxedo Kamen!" Usagi exclaimed, looking happier than Trevor had seen her look ever since she'd come to this strange place with Ami and that other Senshi.

As the five of them ran to catch up with the bus that Tuxedo Kamen was driving, Trevor couldn't help but feel a strange kind of familiarity as he passed by the man on his way to sit with Usagi and the others.

"Trevor-nii, did you see how cool Tuxedo Kamen was, the way he rescued all those girls?!" Usagi exclaimed, wrapping both of her arms around his right as she pulled him down to sit next to her. "Oh, it was so great! You were looking right at him; you saw how cool he was, too, right?"

"I guess," he said, smiling slightly for his sister's sake, but also wanting to explain himself so that she didn't end up getting the wrong idea. "But, it felt more like he was familiar. Almost like I should know him, somehow."

"Ah, I knew it!" the new Senshi who had seated herself next to Ami – the one dressed in as much red as Ami was in blue – said, with a distinct look of satisfaction. "You must be some kind of psychic, for the Dark Kingdom to want you so much! It looks like it's up to me to train you to use your powers, so you don't end up getting into so much trouble anymore."

"Rei-chan, you'd really be willing to do that?" Usagi asked, smiling widely as whatever had been keeping Trevor from seeing the resemblance to the shrine maiden that the pair of them had met earlier that day cleared up; he still didn't know quite what caused that kind of thing, but he was at least glad that Usagi and her friends had another layer of defense against anyone who might come after them.

And against the Dark Kingdom trying to find them.

"Of course!" Rei declared, turning to him with a resolute expression on her face. "I can't just let someone with the same kind of abilities just bumble around on their own! Besides, if the Dark Kingdom is really so interested in you, you'll need some way to fight back, if they manage to catch you alone again."

"Thank you very much, Rei-san," he said, bowing as deeply as he could while sitting. "I'll try not to be too much trouble."
