Once they'd all made it back to their respective homes, Trevor could only be grateful that the Police had taken the time to explain things to his and Usagi's parents, so that they weren't either worried or possibly angry about what had happened. Luna-sensei was quick to meet up with them once they'd made it back to Usagi's room, and the three of them all settled down to sleep. Even as he did, however, Trevor found that the thought of what might be happening to Jadeite wouldn't let him settle down right away.

From what he'd seen, it had seemed like Jadeite had been getting ready to fight them all, not to run away; in fact, Jadeite had almost looked scared, when he'd been pulled away from the ship where Rei and Usagi had been about to fight him.

He didn't know if either of them would have noticed it, but the look of fear on Jadeite's face was imprinted in Trevor's mind in a way that he wasn't sure he would ever be able to forget. Not for quite some time, at least. Usagi didn't seem to be so badly affected, but then she could just be hiding her feelings so that the rest of their family wouldn't worry about her. He wasn't going to bring anything up, of course, since he didn't want to worry her, either.

Rei might have had something to say about that, to either him, Usagi, or both of them at once, but if nothing else Trevor was at least determined to keep anyone else from being kept up by thoughts of something that probably couldn't be changed.

Standing before Queen Beryl's throne once again, back by the crowd of youma that had always gathered in that place, felt at once familiar and entirely different. Jadeite supposed that it might have been because he was presently preparing to give an account of himself, rather than simply reporting on the progress of one of his missions, or receiving orders before a new one.

"Jadeite, you have collected a great deal of energy on Earth for our great ruler," Queen Beryl said, and he barely had a moment's time to absorb the praise before she continued. "However, it's also true that you've failed me many times. Perhaps your greatest and most disappointing failure of all, aside from your consistent inability to retrieve that schoolboy, is that you have been unable to defeat those three irritating nuisances: Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Mars."

"Queen Beryl, I-" he began, but quickly found himself cut off.

"I don't want to hear your excuses!" Queen Beryl snarled; Jadeite found himself fighting not to shrink back from the sheer force of her anger. "Defeat Sailor Moon and the others, bring me that schoolboy, or else I will sentence you to Eternal Sleep!" He could hear the mutterings of the youma all around him, yes, but Jadeite reserved his focus for what Queen Beryl was saying. "Jadeite, as I'm sure you're aware, those who receive the Sentence of Eternal Sleep are plunged into the deepest darkness, never to awaken again."

He could all but feel the seething contempt that Queen Beryl held for him at this moment, and Jadeite could only hope that he would be able to complete the task that had been set before him at last.

Looking up at all of the pretty, glittering stars in the sky, Usagi-leaned into Trevor-nii's hug, neither of them had really been able to sleep well, even after they'd gotten home safe to Mom and Dad. Trevor-nii because he was worried about something – she could see it in his eyes, even though he clearly didn't want to worry her by talking about it – and Usagi because she wanted to look at the stars to calm herself down.

"We've been though so much, Trevor-nii," she said, holding her brother closer. "But we're here, now, and we're okay. So don't worry about things so much, okay?"

"Yeah," Trevor-nii said, looking out into the stars beside her. "I guess I can't help thinking of what might happen next."

"It's good that you're so alert, Trevor, but you shouldn't let it drag you down the way it seems to be doing," Luna-sensei said, putting her right, front paw on Trevor-nii's right hand.

"Yeah, Trevor-nii," she said, hugging him tighter. "Things will get better, just wait and see."

"I hope so, Usa-ko," Trevor-nii said, looking back up into the sky again. "I really hope so."

The sound of someone laughing, someone familiar, someone who Usagi had been hoping never to hear from again, pulled her attention back up to the sky again. Jadeite was there, looking down on the whole house – maybe even the whole neighborhood – with a really scary look on his face.

"I am Jadeite," he said, still glaring down at everyone. "Here me, Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Mars! Come to Haneda Airport at one am tomorrow night; be at Runway F. If you aren't there," Jadeite suddenly rears back, breathing fire all over the neighborhood around them! Usagi had only a little time to feel the way Trevor-nii squeezed her almost too tightly, before Jadeite snapped his fingers and the fire all around them disappeared. "That was only an illusion, but if you don't come, I'll turn Tokyo into a sea of flames for real!"

Jadeite disappeared after that, and Usagi turned to hug Trevor-nii as tightly as she could. She could feel him trembling, little shakes that someone probably wouldn't have been able to see if they were just looking at him, but Usagi could feel them all through her body.

"We should talk to Rei-sempai and Ami-san about this," Trevor-nii said, after the both of them had spent what he clearly thought was too long and she knew was too short hugging each other. "I don't know how may people saw that, but either way…"

"We're going to have to do something about it," she said, reaching up to gently steroke his hair, as the pair of them sat together.

Trevor-nii helped her to stand back up, and the both of them made their way out of the house, after checking to make sure that Mom and Dad were still sleeping. Trevor-nii seemed a bit worried to be leaving without telling them anything, but since neither of them wanted to wake their parents and possibly get them mad, they just left for the shrine where Rei-chan lived.

~SM~

He'd finally managed to stop shaking by the time he and Usagi made their way to the Hikawa Shrine, and as he, Ami-san, and Usagi all gathered together in the courtyard of the shrine, Trevor looked down as Luna-sensei paced in front of the four of them.

"If we don't show up, Jadeite is going to burn the city down!" Ami-san exclaimed. "What are we going to do?"

"We have to face him!" Rei-sempai declared, right fist clenched in front of her face. "It's a hero's duty to answer the challenge of evil whenever it comes!"

"But, then we'd be walking right into a trap," Ami-san said, a worried look on her face.

"Trevor-nii, I think you should stay home," Usagi said, a worried expression on her face, to match the one that Ami-san was currently wearing. "I mean, Jadeite didn't say anything about you, so…"

"I think that's a good idea," Rei-sempai said, once it didn't seem like Usagi was going to go on. "I'll make some warding ofuda for your room, you can put them up once you and Usagi get home from school tomorrow."

"Thank you, Rei-sempai," he said, bowing even as he found himself wondering what was truly going to happen tomorrow.

There always seemed to be some kind of plan, or at least an add on to whatever plan was currently in play, to capture him when the Dark Kingdom would make a move against the people of Juuban as a whole. Or even the whole of Tokyo itself, as seemed to be the case with Jadeite's current plan. Trevor wondered about that, but doubted he would ever find out.

~SM~

The next morning, once she and Trevor-nii had gone back home for the night, after working on at least some kind of a plan for what they were going to do about Jadeite and the challenge he had offered to them. The fact that everything was going to happen tonight was something that Usagi couldn't help thinking about, not when it was so close already, but even with school already so close she couldn't get the thought out of her mind.

It probably wasn't best, and Trevor-nii would probably tell her to stop worrying about things she couldn't change, but then she was worried about what might happen to him, too; Jadeite had tried to capture him nearly every time that she and the rest of the Sailor Senshi had ended up having to fight against him.

With class over for the morning, a lot of the kids in class were discussing the news broadcast that had happened just this morning. It had happened just as she and Trevor-nii had been leaving home that morning, which had been weird for the both of them, since like Trevor-nii had said, it was like their work of fighting the Dark Kingdom was intruding on their lives as normal people.

"That's going to be a problem," Luna-sensei said, low enough that all the kids in the room wouldn't be able to hear her, especially with how far away all of them were. "If all of these kids show up, they'll just end up getting caught in the crossfire."

"Yeah, and there are also going to be Police all around the airport, too," she said, sighing softly.

"Usagi, what do you and Trevor think?" Naru-chan asked, making her way over to them with Umino-san and another girl whose name Usagi didn't quite remember.

"It's probably a prank, right?" the other girl asked, a confident looking smile on her face.

"No, it's not!" Umino-san exclaimed, and Usagi was surprised at how insistent he sounded. "That was an alien from outer space. They've come to this planet to give humanity a warning about its corrupt ways," Umino-san continued, right pointer finger raised like he was giving some kind of a lecture; she and Trevor-nii glanced briefly at each other. It was kind of weird, how Umino could come so close to the truth, and then go off in such a weird direction.

"Come on, Umino," Naru-chan said, sounding kind of annoyed. "Oh, you've just been reading too many third-rate science fiction manga!"

"Whatever it is, it sounds really exciting!" the other girl – Usagi really wished she could remember her name, but nothing was coming to mind – said, a wide, cheerful smile on her face. "Let's get a group together and go to Haneda Airport tonight!"

Usagi wished she could be that cheerful, too, but she and Trevor-nii both knew better by now.

"Absolutely not!" Haruna-sensei snapped, before Usagi herself could try to explain why doing something like that wouldn't have been a good idea at all. "You middle-schoolers have no business being out that late!"

"Haruna-sensei is right," Usagi said, glad not to be the only one having to argue her case; even if she was going to end up disobeying, herself. "We really shouldn't be going out tonight at all!"

"Why shouldn't we?" Naru-chan asked, looking like she didn't quite understand.

"Because it's going to be dangerous out there," Trevor-nii said, and Usagi felt warm when he put his hand on her right shoulder to support her. "The Police are going to be there, anyway, so we should probably stay away from there in any case."

"You two know something, don't you?" Umino-san asked, adjusting his glasses in that way he always seemed to do when he was trying to be serious.

"Oh, come on, it's just common sense," she said, waving off the accusation as best he could manage. "I mean, if the Police are going to be there, then it's only right that we shouldn't be, you know?"

"Tsukino-san, you're speaking so reasonably!" Haruna-sensei gasped, then smiled widely. "I'm glad your brother's responsibility has been rubbing off on you so much. Keep up the good work!" Haruna-sensei said, turning her smile on Trevor-nii.

"I'll do my best, Haruna-sensei," Trevor-nii said, smiling even as he rubbed the back of his head.

Usagi had made her way to the Game Center after school, while Trevor himself had headed back home as quickly as he could. The both of them had agreed that that was best, since the Dark Kingdom – mostly in the person of Jadeite, and more than a few of the youma who had either come with him or worked for him – had already attempted to kidnap him so many times before.

So he hurried, taking what shortcuts he could without running into anyone or into any places that he shouldn't be, and running as fast as he could without tripping.

However, the sight of someone appearing right in front of him, right between one step and another, nearly caused him to trip regardless. And the feel of that same someone's hands on his shoulders

~SM~

Grabbing the schoolboy as he'd been in mid-stride, going to whatever unimportant destination that a human like him – even one who had proven to be of such great interest to the Dark Kingdom as a whole – would have been on his way to, Jadeite slammed his head into a nearby wall, knocking him unconscious. Leaving the bag that had been slung over his right shoulder to the ground, Jadeite grabbed the schoolboy by the collar of his uniform to haul him away.

There would be time to deliver him to Queen Beryl once he'd defeated the Sailor Guardians, and could thus present her with a complete victory, rather than simply the half-measure that he would have otherwise delivered to her.

Teleporting both himself and the schoolboy to the top of the tallest tower in Haneda Airport, Jadeite narrowed his eyes as he looked down on the crowd currently gathered within and around the Airport that he had selected as the space for his final battle with the Sailor Guardians.

"I've no need for you civilians here," he said, narrowing his eyes. "Go to sleep."

Using a quick application of the abilities that Queen Beryl had granted to him when he'd been taken into her service, Jadeite drained their energy and put them to sleep so that he wouldn't have to deal with any of them once the Sailor Guardians had appeared before him. Turning back to the schoolboy at the sound of the human stirring, he drained enough of the schoolboy's energy that he wouldn't wake and spoil the plans that Jadeite had been forming, either.

Narrowing his eyes as he considered his next course of action, Jadeite decided that the schoolboy would be safe enough at the top of the tower, while he made his way down to the ground; the schoolboy's unconscious form would be out of view from the ground where they would be fighting, so as long as he was able to keep their attention on him, once he destroyed them he would be able to return for the schoolboy.

Racing to keep up with Ami-chan and Rei-chan, Usagi clutched Trevor-nii's bag and tried as hard as she could not to cry. She'd found it by the street leading to their house, just laying there like trash on the sidewalk, and she'd grabbed it almost before what she'd known what she was doing. And now here she was, running with Rei-chan and Ami-chan, on their way to confront Jadeite.

To stop him, before he could drag Trevor-nii off to the Dark Kingdom to drain all of his energy, and then do… Something even more terrible to him after that, probably.

"Come on," Rei-chan said, as the train to Haneda Airport stopped in front of them – even though they'd seemed to be too late to catch the last train. "It seems we've been sent an invitation."

"Yeah," she said, clutching Trevor-nii's bag tightly as she followed Rei-chan onto the train, Usagi tried to calm herself down; more than anything, she wanted to have all of this done with.

She wanted to get her big brother back.

"Usagi-chan, it's going to be all right," Ami-chan said, smiling at her as she reached out to gently grip her right shoulder.

"Thanks, Ami-chan," she said, trying to smile as best she could.

Making her way over to the long row of windows on the far side of the train car, Usagi watched as the light passed by, flickering in through the train car they were standing in. Sighing as the train carrying them all got closer and closer to Haneda Airport, Usagi smiled as Rei-chan reached over to put her own hand on Usagi's shoulder.'

"We're going to get him back," Rei-chan said, a determined smile on her face.

"Thank you," she said, smiling as well as she could, considering everything that had happened. "All of you."

Once the three of them had finally made it to Haneda Airport, making their way inside, Usagi found herself faced with crowds of Police patrolling the grounds of the airport.

"There's so many of them," she muttered, looking around at all the Police walking around the airport; they'd probably come here because of the broadcast, and then stayed because more than a few kids had been trying to get into the airport, too.

"It looks like nothing's happened just yet," Rei-chan said, frowning as she looked around, too. "I don't see Trevor-kun anywhere, though."

"We have to keep looking," Ami-chan said, looking just as worried as Usagi felt. "And keep our guards up; who knows when Jadeite might make his move."

"Yeah," she said, nodding.

When all of the Police in Haneda Airport started attacking them, chasing them out onto the runway where all of the planes were parked, Usagi could only wonder what was going to happen next. They couldn't fight these people, since they were just innocent people who had been caught up in the crossfire of the Sailor Senshi's fight against the Dark Kingdom, but then Ami-chan transformed into Sailor Mercury.

Rei-chan transformed into Sailor Mars just a few seconds after that, and so Usagi herself transformed into Sailor Moon as fast as she could.

After that, Ami-chan managed to find out that the Police chasing them weren't even real; they were just a bunch of clay puppets that Jadeite had brought out to the airport, somehow. Rei-chan destroyed them all with her Fire Soul, but then Jadeite appeared, laughing at them from the top of what looked like some kind of a bridge with a high railing between them and him.

"Where is the boy you kidnapped, Jadeite?!" she demanded, wishing for a bit that she could have kept Trevor-nii's bag with her, but knowing that there was too much risk of it being destroyed in the fight if she had. "Give him back!"

"Come and take him, if you can!" Jadeite shouted back down at them, and Usagi could just tell he was grinning. "I'll send you pathetic children to the depths of hell!"

Usagi didn't know just what Jadeite meant at first, but when he started sending planes after them, she ran away with Ami-chan and Rei-chan. None of them quite knew what to do, since while they probably could have destroyed the planes with their attacks – or at least Rei-chan could have, since fire really was the most destructive element the three of them could use – Luna-sensei was probably right when she said that none of them would have been able to pay for that kind of damage if they did. There wasn't really anything they could do but run, under the circumstances, but Usagi was also looking as hard as she could for where Jadeite might have left Trevor-nii.

More than anything, she wanted him to be safe; she wanted him to be there.

~SM~

Finding his partner had almost been easier than he'd been expecting, though waking him up was about as difficult as he'd expected, considering where he was and who they were both going to be facing. Helping his partner back to his feet, the pair of them turned their attention to the enemy who had brought them here in the first place.

~SM~

The sight of both Tuxedo Kamen and his partner with the bright golden mask and the shorter cape let Usagi relax at least a little bit, even after everything that had happened. The pair of them managed to stop the planes that Jadeite had sent after them, so the three of them didn't get run over or end up falling into the ocean after running out of runway the way they'd been about to. Sighing softly, Usagi smiled as she stood back up again.

"Thank you, both of you!" she called up, waving to the both of them.

"Tuxedo Kamen, all send both you and your partner to hell for your interference!"

"Jadeite, you'll pay for using innocent people in your evil plans!" Tuxedo Kamen exclaimed, with his golden masked partner nodding along with him.

The pair of them jumped to attack Jadeite, standing on the same bridge that Jadeite had first been standing on when he'd attacked them all. The three of them moved out over the ocean, and Usagi could only hope that the both of them would be okay. Tuxedo Kamen split off from his partner, with the golden masked figure landing on the edge of the runway, throwing what looked like yellow roses at Jadeite when he was close enough that he wouldn't risk hitting Tuxedo Kamen with any of them.

After making sure that she wouldn't end up distracting Golden Kamen – she really couldn't call him Tuxedo Kamen, since that would be too confusing since there was already a Tuxedo Kamen fighting Jadeite – Usagi hurried over to where he was standing. As she was looking at him, though, Usagi began to notice the soft, brown eyes behind his golden mask…

"Trevor-nii?" she muttered, as he grabbed another of those yellow roses of his to throw at Jadeite.

Jadeite seemed to have gotten away from Tuxedo Kamen, but she'd been looking away so she didn't know quite what had happened. She'd have to ask Ami-chan and Rei-chan about what had happened, but that would have to come later. They had to fight Jadeite right now.

"We need to find a way to defeat Jadeite!" Rei-chan said, clenching her right fist in front of her face.

"Yes, but we also need to find a way to stop those planes," Ami-chan said, looked back at the two planes; they seemed to have stopped, which was probably because Jadeite had been either fighting Tuxedo Kamen or dodging Golden Kamen's roses when he got the chance to throw them.

"If we stop Jadeite, we'll probably stop the planes, too," she said, wrapping her right arm around Trevor-nii's shoulders.

"Why are you getting so close to Tuxedo Kamen's partner, eh?" Rei-chan asked, a small smile on her face. "Are you giving up on him?"

"I'm not going to be dating my brother," she grumbled, leaning in close so she wouldn't have to talk loud enough to risk Jadeite overhearing them. "Now, we have to do something about the planes."

Rei-chan looked like she was going to say something, but she shook her head, and the four of them all turned back to confront Jadeite again.

"Can you draw his attention?" she asked, turning to Trevor-nii.

"Right," Trevor-nii said, gathering up three yellow roses in his right hand, throwing them at Jadeite to draw his attention, before leaping up into the air, landing neatly on the high bridge where Jadeite had once been standing.

~SM~

It'd been almost like he was dreaming, before Usagi had reached out and woken him up, and even though he was curious to know what had been happening to him for… However long he'd been fighting beside Usagi and the other Sailor Senshi, but Trevor knew that he would have to wait to ask about that sort of thing later. Jadeite had tried to attack him so many times that the chance to fight back was one he was going to take with both hands.

When the planes that Jadeite had been controlling started coming after him instead, Trevor sighed in relief as he hurried back to the rest of the Sailor Senshi.

"Trevor-nii!" Usagi exclaimed, leaping forward to hug him with a wide, cheerful smile on her face.

"Well, I'm glad you're going to be able to protect yourself from the Dark Kingdom from now on," Rei-sempai said, a much calmer smile on her face, as she came over to stand with the three of them.

"Yeah, I guess so," he said, wishing for a moment that he could know just when and how he'd even started all of this in the first place, though he knew he'd worry his sister and her friends too much if he tried to talk about that kind of thing.

"Trevor-nii, do you know who Tuxedo Kamen really is?" Usagi asked, letting him go even as she bounced excitedly on the tips of her toes.

"I'm afraid I don't, Usa-ko," he said, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head; that was one of the things he wished he could tell her.

"Oh well, I'm glad you're here, at least," Usagi said, smiling again as she reached out to wrap her right arm around his waist, leaning into him as he wrapped his left arm around her shoulders in turn.

~SM~

Finding himself back before Queen Beryl, after only just managing to escape from the plane that had been about to run him over, Jadeite could only hope that he could make her understand what had happened. Being attacked from so many sides was something that even she might have found herself overwhelmed by. He wasn't naïve enough to say that, of course, since that would have completely undercut the point that he was going to be attempting to make.

"Queen Beryl-"

"Jadeite! You dare to show your face here after your failure?!" Queen Beryl demanded, almost seeming as though she wished to lunge out of her throne at him.

"Queen Beryl, I've managed to discover the true identities of the Sailor Guardians," he said, offering the one thing that he thought she might be more interested in than punishing him.

~SM~

Watching Jadeite's pathetic flailing was more than a little amusing, but when Queen Beryl called upon him, Nephrite was quick to answer.

"Jadeite was incompetent, but I will carry out your plans, Your Majesty," he said, chuckling at the memory of Jadeite being imprisoned in crystal, and likely sent off to the Deadlands to rot.

He truly was the most pathetic of the Four Kings of Heaven; he deserved nothing less.

~SM~

Smiling softly as he watched the three Sailor Senshi and his partner making their way back to wherever it was that they were all going, he hopped lightly down in front of them.

"I'm glad you all managed to find each other," he said, smiling softly. "You should all treasure the bonds that exist between the four of you."

"Tuxedo Kamen, thank you," Sailor Mercury said, the smile on her face slowly fading to be replaced by an expression of curiosity. "But, why do you keep coming to our rescue? I mean, neither I nor Mars have brothers, and you're always coming out to help us when we end up in danger from the Dark Kingdom."

"Yeah," Sailor Mars said, that same kind of curious expression on her own face, as well. "Who are you, Tuxedo Kamen?"

"I'm afraid I can't tell you that," he said, smiling briefly at both the Sailor Senshi as well as his partner – who had finally managed to find himself and where he belonged – before leaping into the air, leaving the four of them behind until they had the chance to meet again.

That chance would likely be coming soon; the Dark Kingdom was persistent, and they would try again.
