When the pair of them had made it back home again, Trevor still had a lot on his mind after everything that had happened.

"I'm so glad you'll be safer from the Dark Kingdom now, Trevor-nii," Usagi said, smiling as the pair of them settled down for the night so that they would be able to sleep more soundly.

"Yeah, I guess that is for the best," he said, though he still felt strange about not being able to remember just how he'd become what seemed to be Tuxedo Kamen's partner.

"It's going to be good having you with us, Trevor-nii," Usagi said, leaning in to kiss his right cheek, before making her way over to their closet to pick out her pajamas for the night.

"Thanks, Usa-ko," he said, pausing to wait for her to start changing behind the screen, before making his own way over to their closet to get his own pajamas.

Once the pair of them were both laying comfortably in their respective beds – well, Usagi's bed and his futon, at least – Trevor couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen to him and his sister next. He didn't think that the Dark Kingdom was just going to give up, not after everything they'd already done. Still, without Jadeite, it was hard to say what they were going to do.

He didn't know if their youma would be able to command themselves, but Trevor was at least aware that if he kept letting his thoughts chase each other in circles the way they were doing he'd never get to sleep, so he forced them out of his mind; the future would have to look after itself.

Standing before Queen Beryl's throne, Nephrite composed himself before he began speaking. "Jadeite stole energy from anyone and everyone he could," he scoffed. "But, if you ask me, that's just a waste of time and effort."

"Oh?" Queen Beryl asked. "What is your plan then, Nephrite?"

"Unlike Jadeite, who targeted people indiscriminately, I will obtain all the energy we need from a single victim," he said.

"Really?" Queen Beryl asked, clearly skeptical, but sounding as though she was willing to be persuaded.

"The stars above govern the fate of every single human, defining the destiny of each and every one of them," he said, already making plans as to just where he would establish himself so as to be able to carry out the necessary divinations. "It is the same with energy. There is a moment in a human's life when their energy level is at their highest possible potential. In other words, I will analyze the motions of the stars, and then target the one person whose energy is going to increase the most."

An annoyingly familiar, high-pitched laugh let Nephrite know that one of the most troublesome of the remaining Four Kings of Heaven had been listening in on his conversation; the man truly was irritatingly inescapable.

"You certainly seem very confident."

"Zoisite, what brings you all the way out here?" he asked, suppressing his annoyance as best he could manage, under the circumstances.

"Overconfidence has brought down many of our numbers, you know," Zoisite needled.

Nephrite gave the troublesome man nothing more than he deserved: "Leave us. I will infiltrate the human world and exploit their weaknesses. And I certainly won't be needing any help from you, Zoisite."

"That's funny," the irritating man said, a self-satisfied smile firmly on his face. "Because, I can clearly picture you crawling back to Queen Beryl in tears." Nephrite glared. "Oh, how scary," Zoisite mocked, though he did finally remove himself from the conversation where his input had never been wanted in the first place.

"Nephrite, I will leave the duty of gathering energy to you. However, I must ask you just what kind of plan you have in place for dealing with the schoolboy who has escaped our grasp so many times," Queen Beryl said.

"Given the way he seems to follow in the footsteps of those three Sailor Guardians, drawing them to me will likely draw him out, as well," he said, bowing as he teleported out, making his first foray into the human world at last.

When she and Trevor-nii had made it to school for the day, and after classes had finally finished, the pair of them left with Naru-chan. Naru-chan had said that a friend of hers – Rui Saoinji, who was a famous tennis player – had come to Juuban, and Naru-chan had wanted to support her. Only, there seemed to be another reason, besides the fact that the both of them were friends.

"Ah, Naru-chan, you never told me that Rui Saoinji was your sister!" she said, smiling as she hugged Trevor-nii's right arm close. "That's great! We both have someone we love right here! And your sister's famous! That's even better!"

"No, it's really nothing like that," Naru-chan said, laughing softly, though the smile on her face made it clear that she wasn't trying to be mean or anything. "You know I'm an only child. Rui-nee's mom's been a long-time customer at our jewelry store, so she and I played together a lot as little kids. It's not like you and Trevor-san; not that way, at least," Naru-chan went on. "The both of us are only a year apart, but I still think of her as my big sister."

"That's really nice, Naru-san," Trevor-nii said, smiling kindly.

The three of them turned back to watch Rui-chan's tennis game, but the sound of a lot of the other girls around them talking about someone else, someone who sounded like a really cute guy, if what Usagi was hearing from all of them was right, drew Usagi's attention in particular.

"Oh, wow, he's so hot!" Usagi squealed along with Naru-chan, as the both of them caught sight of the man that the other girls had been talking about.

He was watching Rui-chan's match through the fence. He was also tall, with waves of chesnut hair that fell to the middle of his back, and the kind of determined look on his hawklike face that Usagi had imagined Tuxedo Kamen wearing every time he would appear to save her and the rest of the Sailor Senshi when the Dark Kingdom attacked them. He was just as handsome as she thought Tuxedo Mask was going to end up being.

Still, as she continued watching him as he was watching Rui-chan, Usagi reminded herself not to get in too far over her head; she didn't know anything about the guy, and both Trevor-nii and Rei-chan would probably tell her that it was best to slow down.

Watching him actually flip over the fence, landing neatly on the other side with Rui-chan and the other tennis player on the court with her, gave Usagi a weird sort of feeling. Sure, there were probably trained athletes who could do that sort of thing, but she didn't know just why anyone like that would have stopped by a local tennis match like this.

Making her way closer, pulling Trevor-nii along, Usagi chewed her lower lip as she watched the man with the chesnut hair took the place of the girl who had been playing opposite Rui-chan. He did seem to be at least some kind of a trained athlete, so the way he'd flipped over the fence did kind of make sense, but there was still something strange about the man. Usagi didn't know if she could have explained it, maybe not even to Trevor-nii if he asked, but she'd at least try to keep an eye on him.

Even if he wasn't the one who'd replaced Jadeite in the Dark Kingdom, there was something strange about him.

Watching the chesnut-haired man as he played tennis with Rui-chan, Usagi bit her lip as she watched him return her serve hard enough to actually hurt Rui-chan's poor wrist. Just after that, though, he introduced himself as Masato Sanjoin and offered to help Rui-chan train. Usagi didn't know what to think about that, or the way he seemed to pause just a bit too long when picking up Rui-chan's racket for her, so Usagi kept watching.

She kept watching, as Sanjoin-san called for someone to serve for him, she watched as Rui-chan proceeded to serve hard enough to knock down each and every one of the boys who volunteered to train with her, and she watched as Naru-chan seemed to get more and more worried about things.

"This doesn't seem normal to you, does it, Naru-chan?" she asked, during a lull in the action; Naru-chan looked like she would have called it something else, if she hadn't been so busy worrying.

"No," Naru-chan said, shaking her head sadly. "Something really doesn't feel right about this."

She and Trevor-nii shared a look, both of them worried for Naru-chan, and the both of them making a silent promise to look into what was happening to Rui-chan.

After she'd made contact with Central, once she'd made her report about the Dark Kingdom and the way that Jadeite had been defeated by the Sailor Senshi, Luna moved on to the latest development.

"So, that brother of Sailor Moon's was able to gain enough control over his powers that he can aid the Sailor Senshi against the Dark Kingdom?"

"Yes," Luna said, nodding even though she didn't know if Central was able to see her any better than she could see them, in turn. "It seems that he learned to do so from a mysterious ally of the Sailor Senshi."

"A mysterious ally?"

"He calls himself Tuxedo Kamen, so Sailor Moon has taken to calling her brother Golden Kamen in his second identity," Luna explained.

"It sounds as though things are going better than we hoped for," Central said, and Luna thought that they might have sounded pleased, even through all of the distortion.

Luna hoped that she was right, since it was a good thing to have another person fighting for the people of Earth, and having it be someone as responsible as Trevor Tsukino was even better, really.

Meeting up with the rest of the Sailor Sensei at Rei-chan's shrine, Usagi found herself listening in on a discussion of how they should fight against the Dark Kingdom.

"I say we should just rush right in there and crush them, all at once!" Rei-chan shouted, clenching her right fist.

"We're not prepared to do something like that yet," Ami-chan said, looking worriedly around at the four of them.

"That's entirely true," Luna-sensei said, nodding. "You'll need a great deal more training before any of you are prepared to take on the full might of the Dark Kingdom."

"Usa-ko and I think there might be someone else from the Dark Kingdom here now," Trevor-nii said, standing up from the Torii gate the pair of them had been leaning against. "We saw someone calling himself Misato Sanjoin-san talking to a friend of Naru-chan's yesterday. He was offering her training in tennis, and according to Naru-chan, she wasn't acting like herself after he'd started talking to her."

"That does sound like one of the Dark Kingdom's plots," Rei-chan said, folding her arms tightly. "We should go investigate. Where is this girl playing tennis?"

"We can take you to her," Trevor-nii said, as the four of them all gathered together; all of them with the same goal of investigating whatever it was that was happening to Rui-chan.

Usagi didn't know quite what she was hoping for, but she did want to save Rui-chan from whatever might have been happening to her; whether it was someone from the Dark Kingdom or not.

When the four of them made it back to the tennis court where Rui-san had been playing, the first thing that Trevor managed to spot was Naru-san. She looked even more worried than she had when he and Usagi had left in the first place, so the first place that he and Usagi went was over to her side so they could give her their support. So at least she wouldn't have to be alone.

Especially if this was one of the Dark Kingdom's plans, since that meant that they were going to have to protect everyone here.

They kept watching, until Rui-san left, and he and Usagi followed Naru-san as she turned to do the same.

"I'm glad you and your friends came out to meet me," Naru-san said, as they all left the court once Rui-san had finished playing tennis for the day. "I'm really worried about Rui-nee."

"She's been acting that different?" he asked, wanting to know what Naru-san had seen, knowing Rui-san for longer than any of them had even known about her.

"She's been treating her tennis equipment worse than she ever has before, and she's," Naru-san shuddered, and Usagi quickly reached out to hold her, and Trevor wrapped an arm around her shoulders, as well. "She's starting to scare me, honestly."

"Do you think she's on edge because the tournament is coming up?" Usagi asked, as he wrapped his left arm around Naru-san's shoulders, letting her lean into him since she seemed to need the extra comfort.

"That was what I though, at first," Naru-san said, sighing softly. "But, it's starting to seem like it's a lot more to it than just that. I don't know what could have happened to her," Naru-san paused for a long moment, looking downcast, before turning to smile at the pair of them. "But, I'm glad that I have you two here to support me. And, thanks for letting me talk to you about all of this. And for walking me home, too."

"We're happy to help, Naru-chan!" Usagi said, a wide, cheerful smile on her face; Trevor added his own assurance, but he was also thinking about what had happened to Rui-san

It really did sound like they were going to be dealing with another of the Dark Kingdom's plans, if not facing off against one of their youma.

When they'd all made it to Naru-san's house and she'd gone inside, Re-sempai and Ami-san hurried to catch up with them.

"This definitely sounds like the Dark Kingdom's work," Rei-sempai said, folding her arms and narrowing her eyes. "Who else would attack an innocent girl like this?"

"Yeah, we have to find Rui-chan and protect her from whatever youma is threatening her!" Usagi shouted, clenching her right fist as she raised it in front of her face.

"We also have to find out where Rui-san is," Ami-san said.

"I know where she is," Naru-san said, coming back out of her front door, dressed in the same clothes that she had been wearing, clearly intending to come with them.

Taking Usagi and her friends – one of them from the school that she, Trevor, and Usagi all went to, and one of them clearly not – to the tennis court where Rui-nee trained for the tennis matches she enjoyed so much, Naru found herself wondering where Usagi had met the other girl. The other girl, whose name seemed to be Rei-san, seemed a lot more serious than Naru would have ever thought that Usagi would have been friends with. She didn't know how the both of them had met, but the pair of them did seem to be friends.

It was just strange, really.

The sound of a boy's voice yelling in shock drew her attention, and she turned to see Rui-nee looking like she had just served a ball. There was a look on her face that Naru had never wanted to see: Rui-nee looked like she was actually enjoying scaring the boys she was playing against. Like she didn't even think of them as people anymore.

She didn't know what was going on, but having everyone's help did at least feel good.

"Stop it!" she shouted, stepping in front of the boy Rui-nee had just knocked down with her powerful serve.

"Get out of the way!" Rui-nee shouted, a twisted look on her face that Naru had never wanted to see on her face.

"No! I won't leave," she shouted back, spreading her arms so she could block or catch any of the other serves that Rui-nee might have tried to aim at the boys behind her; she was glad when they left, at least. "Not until you stop acting like this!"

"Naru-chan is just worried about you, Rui-sempai!" Usagi shouted, and Naru felt good knowing that at least one of her old friends was here to support her.

The sight of Rui-nee looking so angry, almost like she was going to attack all of them, nearly brought Naru up short. But she stood her ground. She stood her ground, until Rui-nee did something with her tennis racket that knocked her and Usagi back into the bushes that lined the outside of the tennis court. Naru wondered what was happening, hearing the sounds of Usagi's other friends calling out to the pair of them.

She wondered about that…

Helping Usagi back to her feet, Trevor looked down at Naru-san; she'd passed out on the ground when the Dark Kingdom's youma had shown up. He could only hope that she'd be safe. At least for as long as he, Usagi, and the rest of the Sailor Senshi would need to defeat it.

Pulling the yellow rose that he used to transform out of his uniform jacket, Trevor heard the sounds of Usagi and the others transforming into their Senshi forms all around him. Even as he became Golden Kamen again, Trevor kept his eyes on the youma that was currently standing over Rui-san's unconscious body. Ami-san laid down a fog barrier with her Bubble Spray, and Trevor threw a rose to knock the racket-shaped fire out of the youma's hand.

Usagi and Rei-sempai were able to destroy the youma after that with Moon Tiara Action and Fire Soul, respectively.

The next day, when all of them went to school again and after classes had ended for the day, Usagi looked for Naru-chan, and quickly found her again.

"Rui-nee says she can't remember what happened during the last few days," Naru-chan said, as the pair of them watched Rui-chan playing tennis with some more girls.

"Well, as long as she's okay, that should all be all right, shouldn't it?" she asked; it was probably best that neither of them remembered being attacked by that scary youma from the Dark Kingdom.

"I guess you're right," Naru-chan said, still sounding kind of down about the whole thing.

She and Trevor-nii shared a look, even as Rui-chan came over to invite Naru-chan to play tennis with her. She was just as nice as Naru-chan remembered her being, since she was smiling so widely, and Usagi smiled along with her. As she and Trevor-nii leaned against the fence bordering the tennis court, just between the bushes that had been planted all around them, Usagi wondered if Tuxedo Kamen hadn't shown up because she and the other Senshi hadn't been in trouble, or if there had been some other reason for it.

When Trevor-nii caught a tennis ball that would have otherwise hit her in the face, tossing it back toward Naru-chan and Rui-chan where they were playing, Usagi yelped in surprise.

"That was scary," she said, rubbing her nose, where the ball would have otherwise hit her.

"Sorry about that, Usa-ko," Trevor-nii said, hugging her a bit.

"It's not your fault, Trevor-nii," she said, smiling as she hugged him back. "You can't help these kinds of things."
