When they'd gone back home, Usagi couldn't help but notice that Trevor-nii seemed to be thinking really hard about something. He'd seemed to be thinking about it ever since they'd all been invited to Akiyama-sensei's wedding, and now that the both of them were home again, she was going to make the time to ask him. At least, she would after the both of them had a good night's sleep.
In the morning, after Trevor-nii had woken her up and the pair of them had gone down to have breakfast with the rest of their family, Usagi took him right back up to their room to talk.
"Are you okay, Trevor-nii?" she asked, once the pair of them had sat down on her bed. "You seemed to be thinking really hard about something."
"It's kind of complicated, Usa-ko," Trevor-nii said, leaning lightly against her as the pair of them settled down on her bed together.
"I'm right here for you, Trevor-nii," she said, smiling as she wrapped both her arms around his right.
"It was something that Mamoru-sempai told me," Trevor-nii said, after he seemed to think about something for longer than she'd usually seen him do.
"What did he say?"
"He's going to be meeting us at the Hikawa shrine tomorrow, so you can ask him yourself, Usagi," Luna-sensei said, jumping in through the window of their room before Trevor-nii could say anything else.
"What?" she demanded, looking from Luna-sensei to Trevor-nii and then back again. "Why would he be coming to meet with us?"
"It turns out that Mamoru has been having dreams about the Moon Princess, too," Luna-sensei said, making her way over to sit on Trevor-nii's lap. "He might be able to help us search for her, if we give him the chance to find out what's going on."
Grumbling a bit, as she realized that that had probably been what Trevor-nii had been talking to Mamoru-baka about, Usagi sighed as Mom made her way up to their room. She wasn't particularly happy about the thought of meeting Mamoru-baka, or whatever he might know about the Moon Princess or the Moon Kingdom, but Trevor-nii had also seemed to be thinking about something else, too.
Not just what he'd talked to Mamoru-baka about, but something more.
It probably wasn't something she could talk about around the rest of her family, though, since it probably dealt with either the Moon Princess, the Moon Kingdom, or both. She'd have to see if she could get him alone before the both of them went to bed, since they were both going to have to go to school tomorrow, even after everything the both of them had been through. Of course, that was the way it'd gone after every one of their battles against the Dark Kingdom and their youma.
Once she and Trevor-nii were able to head for bed, after spending the rest of the day with Mom, Dad, and Shingo-chan, Usagi turned to Trevor-nii as soon as he'd closed the door, but before the pair of them had started changing into their respective pajamas.
"Trevor-nii, what was the other thing you were thinking about, when you told me about Mamoru-baka and what he remembered about the Moon Kingdom?"
"I've just been kind of wondering who I might have been, back in the Moon Kingdom," Trevor-nii said, making his way over to the closet, and then ducking quickly behind the screen to change. "I mean, it seems like Mamoru-sempai was close to the Moon Princess somehow, so I guess I'm wondering if I might have been, too."
"Oh," she said, going over to the closet to pick out her own pajamas, then ducking behind the screen to change. "I guess that makes sense."
She'd never really thought about what her life might have been like before, during the Moon Kingdom; she'd never thought of who her other family might have been, or what her life might have been like. Really, it was just like Trevor-nii to wonder about those kinds of things. As she and Trevor-nii climbed into their respective beds, Usagi wondered how she was going to deal with Mamoru-baka when they all met with him at Rei-chan's shrine tomorrow.

The next morning, after he'd woken Usagi up and the pair of them had gone to school, Trevor smiled as he heard his sister's usual excitement for the bento Mom had packed for her. The sounds of other people talking, something about photography, drew his attention to Naru-san and some of her other friends. They were apparently looking at a photography magazine.
"Kijin Shinokawa, a young prodigy," Naru-san said, reading from the magazine on her desk in front of her.
"No way, he's a Gohongi Middle School student?" Usagi exclaimed, having leaped right out of her seat just as soon as she'd heard Naru-san talking; she'd even forgot the rest of her lunch, which was really the most surprising out of all the things Usagi might have done.
"Trevor-nii, isn't this great?" she asked, smiling cheerfully as she held out the magazine, opened to the article Naru-san had been reading. "This boy goes to a school near Rei-chan's T.A. Girls' Academy! There's someone famous right in our neighborhood! Isn't that neat?"
"That sounds interesting," he said, leaning in a bit so that he could read the article more clearly.
"We could go talk to him about what it's like to be famous, and maybe get his autograph!" Usagi said, bouncing cheerfully in place.
"A lot of people are probably going to want to get his autograph," he said, picking at his food as he found himself thinking about the kind of pressure that Shinokawa-san had to be under; becoming even locally famous so young couldn't have been easy. "He might want someone to talk to."
"Yeah," Usagi said, smiling brightly. "If he needs a friend, we could be there for him, too!"

Once the both of them had left school for the day, Usagi couldn't help thinking about the meeting that they were going to have with Mamoru-baka at Rei-chan's shrine today. She wasn't particularly happy about it, but both Luna-sensei and Trevor-nii seemed to be at least looking forward to it. So she'd go, sure, but she still wasn't going to be happy about it.
When she and Trevor-nii made it to Gohongi Middle School, they found a small crowd of reporters gathered around a boy that she thought was probably Shinokawa-kun. As she and Trevor-nii came closer, Usagi noticed the tired look on his face and the way his shoulders were slumping. It looked like Trevor-nii was right about all the pressure Shinokawa-san was under.
Then again, Trevor-nii was usually right when he talked about how he thought someone might be feeling or thinking.
"Usagi, what are you and your friends doing here?" Rei-chan asked, as she stepped out in front of them, just before they could have met up with Shinokawa-san.
"Trevor-nii thought Shinokawa-san could use a friend, since he's under so much pressure right now," she said, smiling at Rei-chan.
"That's really nice of you, Trevor-kun," Rei-chan said, smiling back at all of them. "All right, I guess I can introduce you to him."

When he'd finally managed to locate the human that the stars had pointed him to, the one who would soon provide the energy that the Dark Kingdom needed, Nephrite found himself at the edge of a seaside cliff. Leaping easily over the railing, he caught the flailing left hand of the human he had come to this place for, just as the piece of stone he'd been sitting on crumbled beneath him.
"You need to be more careful," he said, lifting the boy easily.
"I will! Thanks for helping me," the boy said, the fear in his eyes still evident.
Reaching down for the camera the boy had set aside just before he had nearly gone over the edge of the seaside cliff he'd been sitting on, Nephrite imprinted one of his own youma into the device, before returning it to the boy he'd just rescued.
"I'm a big fan of your work," he said, knowing that humans who put so much energy into their work were particularly susceptible to flattery. "Keep taking those great pictures, okay?"
"Okay," the boy said, seeming more than a little flustered; Nephrite smirked as he passed out of the child's line of sight, having distracted the boy enough that he'd be easy prey for the youma within his camera.

Sighing as she walked up to Rei-chan's shrine with Trevor-nii, Usagi looked up to see Rei-chan and Ami-chan standing right there. The four of them were just waiting on Mamoru-baka, but she still wished they weren't. Luna-sensei was the one who thought they needed to meet with him. She didn't know why Luna-sensei thought it was so important, but Usagi just wanted to get everything over with so she and Trevor-nii could go back home.
Sitting down on the steps with Ami-chan, Usagi laughed softly as she saw Rei-chan and Trevor-nii leaning against one of the support beams holding up the roof; the both of them could be really alike, sometimes.
Sighing as she caught sight of Mamoru-baka making his way through the torii gates and up to the shrine building where the rest of them were waiting for him, Usagi watched as Luna-sensei hopped lightly down from his shoulder, coming to a stop in front of all of them.
"So, you're a part of this too, Mamoru-san?" Rei-chan asked, standing up.
Trevor-nii did the same, but he seemed to be waiting for Mamoru-baka to talk before he'd actually say anything.
"Luna told me that all of you have been searching for the Moon Princess, and the silver crystal along with her," Mamoru-baka said, sounding like he didn't really believe what he was saying, either. "I've been having dreams about someone I think is the Moon Princess you're looking for; at least, I can hear someone asking me to find the silver crystal."
"Wow, it really does sound like you're a part of all of this," Ami-chan said, standing up to make her way over to where Mamoru-baka was standing.
Usagi sighed again, forcing herself to her feet, as Rei-chan, Ami-chan, and Trevor-nii all gathered around Mamoru-baka.
"Why did it have to be you?" she found herself asking, folding her arms as Mamoru-baka turned to look at her.
"Disappointed, bun-head?"
"Mamoru-sempai, we're going to be working together, so can you at least try to get along?" Trevor-nii asked nicely, putting a hand on Mamoru-baka's left shoulder; he really was nicer than Mamoru-baka deserved.

Finding himself faced with Usagi Tsukino, of all the people he could have encountered during this meeting that Luna the cat – he still hadn't gotten over that, even after she'd found her way into his apartment, bringing him to meet with Trevor-kohai and the three girls he seemed to be working with – had brought him to, Mamoru nearly winced at the first words out of his mouth. Even being caught off-guard the way he had been wasn't any kind of excuse for it. Sighing, Mamoru resolved himself to at least try to do better.
It looked like they were going to be working together, after all.
The sound of Rei-san actually laughing drew his attention before he could actually say anything, however, but he could still see the disapproving way Trevor-kohai was looking at him.
"I can see you're going to fit in really well," Rei-san said, smiling at him.
He'd never been given the chance to actually observe the relationships between the three girls who worked with Trevor-kohai to search for the Moon Princess and the silver crystal that she needed for… Some reason that Mamoru didn't quite know enough to speculate about.
"That's mean, Rei-chan!" Usagi-san exclaimed, drawing Mamoru's attention back to her again.
He really didn't know why he always seemed to say the wrong thing when he was near Usagi-san, but since it seemed like he was going to be working close with Trevor-kohai for however long all of this took, Mamoru was going to take what opportunity he could to speak with him. Even if he couldn't find out just why he never seemed to be able to say the right thing around Usagi, he would at least have the chance to speak to Trevor-kohai again.

When she and Trevor-nii had finally been able to head back home, Usagi found that she couldn't stop thinking about the way Mamoru-baka had turned out to be Tuxedo Kamen after all. She didn't like it, but there didn't really seem to be much she could do about it. So, when Mom handed over a letter that had been addressed to Trevor-nii, she hurried with him to their room so that she could find out who wanted something from him.
"It's from Shinokawa-san," Trevor-nii said, sounding more than a little surprised, as he opened up the letter. "He wants me to work with him as his assistant," Trevor-nii said, blinking in surprise.
"Wha? We just met him? That's weird," she said, biting her lip as she looked down at the letter Trevor-nii had just been sent.
It was late enough that Usagi doubted Shinokawa-san would want to have Trevor-nii come over right away, or that Mom would let him even if he did, but she still wondered what was going on with Shinokawa-san. As she and Trevor-nii got ready for bed, Usagi thought it might have been another of the Dark Kingdom's youma. Shinokawa-san could have been in danger.
She and Trevor-nii would have to make a plan tomorrow, to save Shinokawa-san from the youma that would try to use him to hurt people if they didn't.

The next morning, when he and Usagi woke up to go to school, the sound of a car horn outside their house drew everyone's attention before Mom and Dad could even sit down for breakfast.
"I wonder who that could be," Mom said, getting up from the table and making her way out to the front door.
Mom barely had a moment to speak to whoever had come to their door, before Shinokawa-san and someone who looked like they might have been his mother came into the dining room.
"Tsukino-kun, where were you? I sent for you last night!" Shinokawa-san exclaimed, grabbing his left arm and nearly yanking him off his feet.
The woman who seemed to be Shinokawa-san's mom pushed him along from behind, so he didn't actually fall over, and the only thing Trevor could really do before he found himself shoved out of the house and loaded into their car was call out to Usagi and the rest of their family not to worry about him. When Shinokawa-san shoved him into the back of the car, settling down beside him, Trevor could only wonder just what was going on.
He'd barely met the other boy for a few minutes yesterday, so he couldn't really tell if he was acting like a different person or not, but Trevor could say that he didn't enjoy being kidnapped like this.
"Shinokawa-san-"
"I've been having so much inspiration lately, Tsukino!" Shinokawa-san interrupted, grinning widely at him before Trevor could say anything more than his name. "I can't wait to get you back to my house so we can start working!"
"Shinokawa-san, I don't know what you're thinking, but-"
"Come on, Tsukino!" Shinokawa-san exclaimed, grabbing his right arm and pulling him along as the pair of them left the car.
Finding himself dragged into the room where Shinokawa-san seemed to be working, Trevor pulled his hand back as soon as Shinokawa-san had let him go.
"Shinokawa-san, I really need to get to school," he said, turning to watch as Shinokawa-san went to fetch a camera from his desk, framing him for a long moment, before-

Tsukino gave him a last look of surprise, before he crumpled to the ground as Kijin took his picture, and as he switched out the film, Kijin found himself laughing as he tied Tsukino's ankles, wrists, and finished restraining Tsukino by blindfolding him with the last of the film in the canister. Snapping another picture of Tsukino as he lay on the floor in his binds made of film, Kijin laughed as he picked Tsukino up to set him down on a nearby chair.
He had entirely too much inspiration to worry about when Tsukino was going to wake up; he needed girls! Lots of girls! Young girls, full to bursting with energy!

After Trevor-nii had been dragged into Shinokawa-san's car, that cemented in Usagi's mind that he had been the latest person to come under attack by the Dark Kingdom and their youma. Leaving for school, knowing that Mom and Dad wouldn't be happy with her if she tried to chase after Shinokawa-san, Usagi contacted Ami-chan as soon as she was out of the house and far enough away that Shingo wouldn't be able to see or hear what she was doing.
"Ami-chan, I think I found the next person the Dark Kingdom is targeting," Usagi said, as she made her way to school. "Kijin Shinokawa-san came to pick Trevor-nii up and took him… Well, I don't know where Shinokawa-san took Trevor-nii, but he took him, and he was acting kind of weird, too."
"That does sound like the Dark Kingdom at work," Ami-chan said, sounding about as worried as Usagi herself had been feeling since Trevor-nii had been taken away by Shinokawa-san. "We should probably meet up at the Hikawa shrine after school."
"Yeah, we probably should," she said, nodding.
After she and Ami-chan had agreed to contact the rest of the Sailor Senshi, Usagi continued on her way to school. She was probably going to have to explain to Haruna-sensei what had happened to Trevor-nii, but she didn't quite know how Haruna-sensei would react. She might end up having to stand in the hall again, which she didn't really like.
Trevor-nii was the one who helped her to get to school, so she missed her brother for that, too.

When he'd been given the communicator by Mizuno-san, the last thing Mamoru had been expecting was to be contacted on the very same day. Still, given what Mizuno-san was saying, it looked like Trevor-kun had been kidnapped by Kijin Shinokawa, the boy that Mizuno-san and the other girls that worked with Usagi thought had been the target of the enemy they were all fighting.
Before this, Mamoru hadn't even known that there was an enemy; all that he'd known about was the Moon Princess, and the silver crystal she wanted.
After he'd made it to the Hikawa shrine where Rei-san, Mizuno-san, and Usagi Tsukino were all waiting for him, Mamoru found himself wondering how long these three had been fighting against the Dark Kingdom on their own. How long they'd had no one else to look out for them, and which of the three of them had been the one to find out about the Dark Kingdom in the first place. Still, now was hardly the time to ask about things like that.
Now, it sounded like Trevor-kun was in some kind of trouble, so Mamoru was going to focus on saving him.
After the four of them had tracked Kijin Shinokawa down, Mamoru found himself confronted with what happened to someone who had been targeted by the Dark Kingdom. There seemed to be a manic sort of energy to Shinokawa-san those few times Mamoru caught sight of him while he had been searching for Trevor-kun, but thoughts of what might have happened to Shinokawa-san went right out of his mind when he actually managed to find Trevor-kun. His friend had been tied up – bound and blindfolded – with a roll of film, of all things.
Having taken the precaution of transforming before going into the studio where Shinokawa-san was holding the photo shoot he'd been advertising, Mamoru quickly cut Trevor-kun loose and helped him back to his feet.
"What's going on?" Trevor-kun asked, eyes slowly focusing as he stood up again.
"The Dark Kingdom set their youma on someone else," he said, snapping his head around as he heard the sounds of fighting in the photo studio one room off from the one where they were standing.
Looking back to Trevor-kun at the feel of a familiar surge of energy, Mamoru smiled as he turned back to see Golden Kamen looking back at him.
"Come on, let's go help them," he said.
"Right."

Turning at the sight of Trevor-nii and Mamoru-baka coming out to help her with the youma that had been hidden in the camera that Kijin Shinokawa had been using to take pictures of all of girls whose energy he'd been stealing for the Dark Kingdom, Usagi quickly dodged out of the way of another of the blasts from the youma's left hand. Trevor-nii managed to throw one of his yellow roses through that hand, while Mamoru-baka distracted the youma with a barrage of his own red roses.
When the youma was distracted by Trevor-nii and Mamoru-baka, Usagi quickly used her Moon Tiara Action to destroy it.
Sighing in relief as the youma dissolved into blue flames, and all of the people who had been captured in photos all came back again, Usagi went over to leave with Rei-chan, Ami-chan and Trevor-nii. Mamoru-baka tagged along, but she didn't pay much attention to him.
Once she and Trevor-nii left the rest of the Sailor Senshi behind, they made it back home just in time to eat dinner with the rest of their family. That was nice, though Mom did wonder what the pair of them had been doing that had kept them both out so late. Her and Trevor-nii had already agreed on a story before, that they were studying with Rei-chan and Ami-chan, though that did mean that she was going to have to work harder than she'd been doing before.
Sure, it wasn't the best way that things could have come out, but at least Kijin Shinokawa-san was free of the Dark Kingdom again; she and Trevor-nii had agreed that that was a good thing.
