No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 1

Chapter Fourteen: The Meddler (Part 4)

Stephen said a quiet goodbye to his friends, then he turned away and left the bar.

He was in a terrible mood, so he had to go. Steve, Tony, and Bucky watched him leave. They all hated what they heard and saw, because they had known both Stephen and Victor for a long time.

One of them started thinking about seeing Victor Strange for the first time. He was what, fifteen?

They all thought of him as if he was a little brother. So, the thought of any darkness, sadness, or negative shit surrounding Victor was a hard pill to swallow.

Stephen seemed very affected. He took off on his friends, and tried to walk it off. He had a few plans in mind, but they all had to do with the communication he needed to have with his youngest sibling.

The sorcerer walked alone for a while, until the need to be at home took over. Stephen slowly closed his eyes, then opened them right in front of his apartment door.

The sorcerer let himself into the comfortable "normal" life that he was constructing there with Clea. His daughter had a large bedroom, a play room...and all the shiny things. Stephen didn't process that as he walked in, because he only wanted to pass through.

Sofia was sleeping. Still growing, and dreaming of her new jurisdiction. Stephen could see her dream, so he kept on going.

He walked through the large space, and entered his own bedroom. It was large as well, and pristine. Clea was communicating with several allies that they had in the Dark Dimension, but she could tell that Stephen had returned.

His wife was hovering beside the bed. Stephen noticed her night gown, and her hair. It seemed like Clea had been adapting to being at "home" more and more. Stephen was glad for that, but he never mentioned it.

She looked in his direction and she stopped what she was doing. Clea's feet slowly touched the floor before she said something to him.

"What is it?"

Stephen looked upset. He was more than upset in that moment, so he didn't respond. He just walked up to Clea and touched her arms. The sorcerer gently kissed her lips, and moved in. He wanted to feel her skin, and work out all the frustration he had, with her guidance.

Clea was a bit surprised with Stephen's unexpected advance, but she gave into it very quickly.

The "Sorceress Supreme" friggen needed it, because all of their focus and attention always went toward Sofia.
