No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 1

Chapter Seventeen: The Meddler (Part 7)

Jesus friggen Christ.

Tony looked back at the door as it was closed, then he gave off a sigh of relief. The evening that he spent with Steve's bestie was finally over, so Tony stretched back the muscles in his arms.

Steve Rogers had this...smirk.

Tony noticed it off and on. The smirk was yummy, but NO. The brunette acted oblivious to it. He removed his jacket, and he started looking through the small hole that went through the apartment door.

"IS HE REALLY GONE?"

Tony had to ask. His sarcasm was off the charts, and he didn't plan on toning it down. Steve quietly laughed about what he said, and that smirk kept showing itself.

Tony kept looking through the door. He couldn't see Bucky Fuckface Barnes out in the hall any longer. So, all was well there in Brooklyn. Tony inwardly rejoiced.

He rejoiced up until he felt Steve's hands on his skin, cuz then he began to melt. One of those hands made it underneath his shirt. Tony almost choked. It was super yummy, and sudden.

Steve repeated something that he said earlier. He told Tony that he appreciated the effort, and his unruly brunette tried to laugh it off. Effort. Fuck effort.

"I've met my Bucky quota for the year."

Meaning he didn't want to see him again anytime soon. Steve's smile strengthened, just like his grip. Bucky and Tony spent an entire evening in each other's company.

They didn't squabble, or fight to the death at all. Steve felt happy about that, and Tony wasn't fooled. He could tell that that blonde was livvvvviiinnngggg for what transpired all friggen night.

Steve also wasn't greedy, so he inwardly accepted what was received.

"What do you think he's doing right now?"

Tony became curious. He glanced down at Steve's hands, then he relaxed himself up against his warm chest.

Steve gave the question some thought. He was suprised to recieve a question like that from Tony, but he answered.

"He probably called Natasha."

"Ah."

Whatever. Tony rolled his eyes at the notion, and eventually he turned himself around. Steve mentioned something else to Tony in that moment, and it had nothing to do with Bucky Barnes.

Steve asked him about all the distraction. Tony seemed very distracted, and he even mentioned that he tried to reel him back down to Earth several times.

It was cute. Tony listened to that golden thing, and his heart melted a little more down toward his shoes. He was very distracted. Yes.

"I was thinking about mutating bacteria. Germ warfare, and a love bug named Victor."

Tony wanted to help. He knew that Steve wanted to help as well, but he was very good at killing two birds with one stone. He thought about the Ezekiel and Victor dilemma, but Tony was unaware.

The soldier paused for a bit. He gave a small nod, then he asked Tony if they could get back to what they were doing before they left for Sofia's birthday party.

Tony just about choked again, because Steve's adorable request was unexpected.

He was leaning against the apartment door, while that blonde was all pressed up against his clothes and skin.

Could they get back to it? Uh, yeah.

Tony felt a buzz from all the booze, and something more. His skin was already burning for it, and Steve was all over him before he even answered the question.
