Chapter 1:
Jiminy Cricket: He was a no one
A zero, zero
Now he's a honcho
He's a hero
Oh, hello, didn't see you there. Jiminy Cricket's the name. You know, Pinocchio's conscious? Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. I think you might know some, like the Seven Dwarves, who defeated the Evil Queen and avenged Show White. Or Aladdin, who saved Agrabah from Jafar, or Sora... wait, you have no idea who Sora is, do you? Well, let me tell you the story of the boy who saved all the kingdoms! It all started on the Destiny Islands...
Destiny Islands:
Sora was having a dream about fighting shadow monsters. A mysterious message tells him he is the one to open the door. He then woke up and had a surprise from Kairi, who then chuckled.
"Give me a break, Kairi," says Sora.
"Sora, you lazy bum," says Kairi, "I knew I'd find you snoozing down here."
"No, this huge black THING swallowed me up," says Sora, "I couldn't breathe, I couldn't - -"
"Are you still dreaming," asks Kairi.
"It wasn't a dream," says Sora, "or was it? I don't know. What was that place? So bizarre..."
"Yeah, sure," says Kairi.
"Say, Kairi," says Sora, "what was your hometown like? You know, where you grew up."
"I told you before," says Kairi, "I don't remember."
"Nothing at all," asks Sora.
"Nothing," says Kairi.
"You ever want to go back," asks Sora.
Kairi thinks about it. "Well, I'm happy here," says Kairi.
"Really," asks Sora.
"But you know... I wouldn't mind going to see it."
"I'd like to see it too," says Sora, "along with any other worlds out there. I want to see 'em all."
"So, what are we waiting for," asks Kairi.
Sora: If I could see what's out there
I would travel anywhere
And then I would've had a care
You know what I'm saying
Kairi: There's more beyond this place
Just sitting around is such a waste
We could go to any space
Trust me, I'm not playing
Jiminy: What Disney movie doesn't have a song?
Sora: To see the world
And all the other lands
That is my goal
That is my plan
Kairi: We can't just stay in one place
We have to see the others
I'd like to know if I have
A father and a mother.
Sora: And then we can go together
Kairi: It'd be a great adventure
Sora/Kairi: Adventure
Sora: We could see them all
Sora/Kairi: Adventure
Kairi: And we could have a ball
Sora/Kairi: Adventure
Sora: Where we live is great and all
But sometimes, I get a little bored
Kairi: I know what you mean
I want something more
Sora: We could see the kingdoms
And all the heroes
Kairi: We could meet the princesses
And show everyone we're not zeroes
Sora/Kairi: Adventure
Sora: We could see them all
Sora/Kairi: Adventure
Kairi: And we could have a ball
Sora/Kairi: Adventure
Sora: And maybe I could figure out what my dream was telling me
Kairi: There's so much I want to see
Sora: And as long as we have each other
Kairi: We will never fall
Sora: So, are you ready?
Kairi: Let's go see them all
Sora/Kairi: Adventure
Sora: We could see them all
Sora/Kairi: Adventure
Kairi: And we could have a ball
Sora/Kairi: Adventure!
"Aren't you guys forgetting about me? So, I guess I'm the only one working on the raft," says Riku, "and you're just as lazy as he is."
"So, you noticed," says Kairi, "okay, we'll finish it together. I'll race you!"
"Huhh," asks Sora.
"What," asks Riku, "are you kidding me?"
"Ready," asks Kairi, "go!" They then headed off...
...
The three are now taking a break. "So, Kairi's home is out there, right," asks Sora.
"Could be," says Riku, "we'll never know by staying here."
"But how far could a raft take us," asks Sora.
"Who knows," asks Riku, "if we have to, we'll think of something else."
"So, suppose you get to another world," says Kairi, "what would you do there?"
"Well, I haven't really thought about it," says Riku, "it's just... I've always wondered why we're here on this island. If there are any other worlds out there, why did we end up on this one? And suppose there are other worlds... then ours is just a little piece of something much greater. So, we could have just as easily ended up somewhere else, right?"
"I don't know," says Sora.
"Exactly," says Riku, "that's why we need to go out there and find out. Just sitting there won't change a thing. It's the same old stuff. So, let's go."
"You've been thinking a lot lately, haven't you," asks Kairi.
"Thanks to you," says Riku, "if you haven't come here, I probably never would've thought of any of this. Kairi, thanks."
"You're welcome," says Kairi.
Disney Castle:
Meanwhile, in the Disney Castle, home of King Mickey and Queen Minnie, the royal wizard, Donald was on his way to see the King. "Good morning, your Majesty," says Donald, "it's nice to see you this morn- What?" King Mickey was absent. Pluto then hands him a letter.
...
After reading it, Donald runs through the halls, freaking out.
