Chapter 13:

An Unknown Endless Void:

Sora was floating around in some sort of dark void. "Falling... falling... into darkness.

Hollow Bastion:

Kairi, Donald, and Goofy could not believe what just happened. "Sora," asks Kairi, "are you really- No, he can't be! I won't let him go!"

Kairi: I always thought we were

In this together

But how can I go on

If you were gone forever

The thought of never seeing you again

Would be the worst

You were always my closest friend

And you were my first

Now we were reunited

But then you were lost

You have saved my life

But at a great cost

I can't imagine my life

Now that we're apart

I can't believe that this happened

When you returned my heart

We would always share a dream

One that is yours and mine

But now it's a nightmare

At this darkest time

Please come back

And I can smile

I don't want to say goodbye

Now I feel so vile

I can't imagine my life

Now that we're apart

I can't believe that this happened

When you returned my heart

We were always there

For each other

But now you're not here

I can't find comfort in another

Why did you have to go?

Wasn't there another way?

I just want to see you again

That would be the perfect day

You were my hero

You saved me from the terror

But then you disappeared

That feels like an error

This can't be real

I know I'm in denial

But seeing you gone

I don't think I can smile

I can't imagine my life

Now that we're apart

I can't believe that this happened

When you returned my heart

When you returned my heart!

"So, you have awakened at last, Princess," says Ansen, now in his true form, "the Keyhole is now complete. You have served your purpose. But now it's over." He then walked closer to them.

"Don't make another move," says Donald.

"Do ya think we can stop him all by ourselves," asks Goofy.

"I don't know," says Donald.

Ansem then started struggling. "Impossible..."

Then Riku appeared. "No," says Riku, "you won't use me for this!"

"Riku," says Kairi.

"You've got to run," says Riku, "the Heartless are coming!"

They were then surrounded by Heartless. Kairi, Donald, and Goofy then ran.

...

"What about the Keyhole," asks Goofy.

"Let's just get out of here," says Donald.

There was something strange about one particular heartless.

...

The one Heartless traveled through the castle. "Kairi, hurry," says Goofy.

"I can't leave them behind," says Kairi.

"We can't stay here," says Donald.

"A Heartless is after us," says Goofy.

That one Heartless finds them. "I'll take care of him," says Donald. The Heartless then leaps to them and Donald starts bonking it on the head. "Confounded Heartless! Get lost, will ya?"

"Sora," asks Kairi, "is that you?" Then the rest of the Heartless came. "This time, I'll protect you!" They then leaped and Kairi hugs the Sora Heartless.

Donald and Goofy were fighting the others. Then they looked at Kairi. "Kairi," says Goofy.

There was a glow and Sora was back to normal. "Kairi, thank you," says Sora.

"Sora..." says Kairi.

"Sora," Donald and Goofy both said.

Then the Heartless came back, but the Beast appears and fights them. "Go," says the Beast, "now!"

"Come with us," says Sora.

"I told you before," says the Beast, "I'm not leaving without Belle. Now, go! The Heartless is coming!"

"All right," says Sora, "let's get out of here." The four then left while the Beast took on the Heartless...

Traverse Town:

"Tell me what happened," says Leon. Sora tells him everything. "So the darkness is flowing out of that Keyhole..."

"No wonder there are more and more Heartless everywhere," says Aerith, "the only way to stop them is-"

"Seal the Keyhole, right," asks Sora.

"Maybe," says Leon, "but no one knows what will happen once it's sealed."

"Well, we can't just stay here," says Sora, "we have to do something. I've got a friend back there."

"That's right," says Leon, "you have one more friend to worry about. Riku's Keyblade must have been born of the captive princesses' hearts just like the keyhole you saw. Of course, without Kairi's heart, it remained incomplete. Once that Keyblade was destroyed, the princesses' hearts should have been freed. Don't worry, Sora. If anyone can save your friend, you can."

"Oh and another thing," says Sora, "why didn't you tell me Ansem was a bad guy?"

"That... isn't something I read about," says Leon, "there must be something else to this."

...

The heroes then met with Merlin. "I don't suppose you have a way to help," I asked.

"In fact, there is one more world you must go to," says Merlin.

"Where," asks Goofy, "the Tri-State Area? Gravity Falls? Brighton?"

"This book," says Merlin.

"Huh," Sora, Donald, and Goofy were all confused.

"But this is something you must do alone, Sora," says Merlin. He then opens the book and Sora gets sucked in...

Hundred Acre Wood:

Sora found himself in the book. He then sees a plush bear wearing a red shirt, sitting there, thinking. Sora then walks over to him. "Think, think, think, think."

"Hi there," says Sora, "what's wrong?"

"Nothing," says the bear, "just thinking."

"Oh," says Sora.

"I was thinking of how to say goodbye to Pooh."

"Just flush it down the toilet," says Sora.

"Who, me?"

"Wait," says Sora, "you're Pooh?"

"Yes. I'm Winnie the Pooh. Pooh for short."

"Are you married to that name," I asked.

"Oh, Heavens no, I'm afraid I'm not the marrying type. Who are you?"

"I'm Sora."

"Oh, hello Sora. Have you come to say goodbye to Pooh too?"

"Well, no," says Sora, "why would I do that? We've only just met."

"Because everyone's gone away," says Pooh, "I hope they haven't abandoned me. The last time a friend has done that, I turned to a sociopathic killer with a thirst for blood... and honey. The honey's normal, though."

"Back to the thing about everyone leaving," says Sora, "what do you mean?"

"Well, we all lived here in the Hundred Acre Wood," says Pooh, "and we'd all take walks together, or play Pooh sticks..."

"You mean your name, right," asks Sora.

"And every day, I'd eat some honey. Just one small smackeral would taste very good right now. But now everyone's gone. All my friends and my favorite honey tree too. Everyone must've gone away while I was napping, I think... So, who knows? Maybe I shall end up going away somewhere as well. But I wonder, how do I say goodbye to myself? Think, think, think. Oh, my tumbly is getting rather rumbly." Pooh then leaves to find some honey.

Sora then starts exploring the Hundred Acre Wood.

...

Sora finds Pooh's house. "Oh bother," says Pooh, "there's no more honey left. If only the honey tree would visit... Then I could eat my fill." Sora then exits.

...

Sora was walking when he had a surprise. "Surprise," says Pete.

"Pete," asks Sora, "what are you doing here?"

"Ansem decided you could still be a problem," says Pete, "so he sent me!"

"Did you take away Pooh's friends," asks Sora.

"Nahh, some of the pages are missing," says Pete, "that's what happens when you live in a book! Now, let's dance!"

Sora then fights Pete. Pete was beating Sora down, but then Sora gets back up. "I won't give up! You're just a lapdog!"

"First of all, I'm a cat," says Pete, "and second, it's better to be the Devil's right hand then his victim! That's why I did everything for him! Even pretended to be Maleficent's goon! Ha! She was just mad at some king for dumping her and cursed that king's daughter because she wasn't invited to that party! Pathetic!"

Sora then hits Pete's face with his Keyblade. "You're the pathetic one," says Sora, "though I do agree with you about Maleficent's issues."

Sora and Pete continued to fight. Then some of the pages fell out of Pete's back pockets. "What," asks Pete. He then looks. "Oh, right, I took those pages!"

"You took the pages," asks Pooh, "you took my friends?"

"Uh..." begins Pete.

Pooh then picks up a hatchet and attacks Pete. Sora was disturbed...

...

"I'm so sorry, Sora, I hate showing that side of me," says Pooh.

Pete was covered in wounds. "I can see why," says Sora, "that is disturbing. Now, to see if I can find your friends."

"And I'll call a doctor for this fellow," says Pooh.

...

Sora finds Piglet by a tree, and Owl on that tree branch, Sora then finds Rabbit in his house, Sora then finds Tigger bouncing around, Eyeore in the river, Sora then finds Roo bouncing.

"Is that everyone," asks Sora.

"I found Kanga and Kessie," says Pooh, "so I think we're good. Thank you, Sora."

...

Later that night...

"I'm so glad we're all together again," says Piglet, "I didn't know what to do when I was all alone."

"Aw, Piglet," says Tigger, "you gotta be brave."

"You weren't lonely at all," asks Piglet.

"Lonely," asks Tigger, "are you kiddin'? I'm a Tigger! The most wonderful thing about Tigger is I'm the only one. But I do admit, friends are awfully fun, too."

"Think, think, think," says Pooh.

"Hey Pooh," says Sora, "what are you thinking about now?"

"Oh, well, I was just thinking about what to think about," says Pooh.

"Well, I'm off," says Sora.

"Sora, where are you going," asks Piglet.

"I gotta go save my friend," says Sora, "they're waiting for me."

"Bounce on back again," says Tigger.

"And perhaps you should take him too," says Owl, "I believe Pooh traumatized him!"

"POOH," shouts Pete.

"I hope you'll help your friend," says Piglet.

"Don't forget," says Pooh, "we shall always be here. And I'm going to work on my abandonment issues! I promise!"

Sora then leaves. After helping Pooh and his friends, Sora gained the confidence he needed to save Riku.
