No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 1

Chapter 35: When Worlds Collide (Part 5)

Victor Strange was very persuasive, and he got exactly what he wanted from Ezekiel. The two of them were in bed, and he was finally able to see what was going on beneath all his clothes.

Ezekiel hid his wounds beneath his white armor, and he used the distance between them to heal.

Victor looked it all over, and he touched his body gently.

It looked like parts of his body weren't healing at all, but it didn't seem like he was in any pain. Victor asked him if anything hurt. Ezekiel was very flustered, because Victor was finding ways to make him "feel better".

"I'm not in pain. It's just, complicated.."

Ezekiel didn't want to get into it. He was letting Victor see the shell of the damage. His bones and skin had mostly recovered thanks to technology, but the young man was left with some awful scars.

Victor was navigating those scars carefully. He asked him if his brother had seen the damage that was done. Stephen was a doctor, after all, so he wondered if he'd done something to assist.

"No. Your brother has seen me, but I don't need his help."

He didn't want his help at all. Ezekiel only wanted Stephen to hand over Wade Wilson. In the Jackal's young mind, killing that filth would heal him faster than anything.

It upset Ezekiel to even think about it. He turned away from Victor's lips, but the baby Strange wasn't having that.

He quickly turned that face back where he had it, and he started kissing Ezekiel again. Intimacy wasn't hard for either of them any longer, but they always felt nervous.

Like magic, Victor managed to bring the Jackal back into the room with him with only a few movements.

His mind had wandered off toward the dangerous land of revenge and murder, and Victor didn't like it. He could feel Ezekiel's anger, and it reminded him of how he was feeling back at his apartment.

Pissed off. Bitter. Victor only wanted to feel good in that moment. He was accomplishing that, and working on getting Ezekiel's face even more flustered than it already was.

Victor mentioned that he missed him as well, but it went so much further than that. He almost told him something more. Victor wanted to, but it felt like a leap. He thought about a long fall for some reason, and it hurt his soul.

Ezekiel held his face. He was glad to hear that he was missed, but something on the floor pulled him away from reacting.

The Jackal heard a sound. A sudden buzz, or a strong vibration kept going off somewhere on the floor. They both puzzled over it for a moment, until Victor registered that it was coming from his pile of clothes.

It was his cellphone going off, and the baby Strange immediately freaked out. Nobody ever called him, so hearing the sounds from his phone really threw him off.

Victor felt hella awkward, so he moved over Ezekiel as best he could. The baby sorcerer awkwardly fumbled around for his phone. He reached down to stop all the noise...

Uhh, Victor noticed who randomly sent him a message. He kinda forgot that he texted his friendly roommate, so he just about choked.

The name of the person contacting Victor was displayed clearly on the screen. Ezekiel saw the name on the phone, but he didn't really react.

He almost saw the message as well. Victor's behavior scrambled up in that moment. He turned off the phone as fast as he could, then he set it back down beside the bed.

Victor wasn't sure how his behavior looked in that moment. He closed his eyes and said some things. He apologized a couple times.

Ezekiel kept a soft focus on the discarded cellphone.

The reaction that he witnessed was... interesting. Interesting enough to ask Victor about the message. The Jackal contemplated doing that, but he silently changed his mind.

Victor distracted him from the thought pretty quickly. They both only wanted to feel good in that moment, so the friendly message went ignored.
