No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 1

Chapter 67: Headspace (Part 7)

...

"I am also aware that that there are multiple versions of Stephen. I've noticed two at the hospital, sometimes."

...

Christine Palmer eased her way toward revealing some potentially dangerous information to Clea Strange. She meant what she said to her a few minutes ago tho. Stephen was very much obsessed with his beautiful wife.

"I even looked into it. I did some homework, or well, research on them. I guess."

The two other women in the room didn't seem very amused. Donna and Clea were listening to what she was saying, but...

Christine was obviously nervous, but she closed her eyes and pressed on.

"Eventually, I could tell the difference between them. I don't want to say that your Stephen is oblivious. He was more..."

What was the word? Christine tried to find the right one, while Clea's shoulders tensed up. Donna felt a negative energy. It slowly began to form toward her right.

"Distracted is probably the best word. He'd show up sometimes and check in, but his mind was always off somewhere else."

Christine chose her word, and...

Donna held some respect for the honesty. Christine did reveal that she was in contact with multiple versions of Stephen. The issue was clearly with the way she categorized one of them as "your Stephen".

Meaning "Clea's" Stephen. It was almost as if she had one, and Clea had another. Saying those words was just like tossing a hand grenade in the room. Christine still had some specific things that she wanted to say to Stephen's wife so she spoke up again.

"And, I know that the Stephen who married you has stopped sending the other version of himself to the hospital. I haven't seen him for.."

Christine knew exactly how long it had been. She didn't feel like sharing anything else, so she slowly glanced up at Clea.

"I plan to find him, or tell your Stephen to let him stay there, with me."

In her mind, there wasn't any sort of "other woman" scenario going on or playing out. She wasn't pursuing Clea's husband, even if she had been in a relationship with that version of Stephen years ago.

Things always felt unfinished, but Christine could tell them apart. Donna Strange took in an extremely deep breath.

The sister really had to process Christine's side of the current issue. She needed a moment because it sounded like shit was about to take a sharp turn for the worst.

Clea remained silent, but her face said it all. A storm was brewing strong within that one, and it looked like she wanted to remove Christine's delicate head from her shoulders.

So, the illusion was there to stay? Clea questioned it from the beginning. She heard Stephen's acquaintance mention something else about a mirror.

Christine said that she used a mirror to speak to her, as if she cared to hear that information. She never asked some mirror for the opportunity to speak to Christine Palmer.

Clea heard her explanation regarding how she arrived in her dimension, and she said that she wanted to return the same way she came.

Donna seemed interested in hearing that information, but Clea Strange was far from ever having the sentiment.

"If you ever come here again, I will end you."

She never wanted to see Christine Palmer again. Clea inwardly declared herself done with Earth, and everyone in it. She didn't want to know anything more about that illusion, and she wanted her daughter to come home.

The ruler of the Dark Dimension had the authority and the ability to keep someone out of her world if she needed to.

She forever banished Christine Palmer from the Dark Dimension and sent her back where she came from.
