Chapter 70: Headspace (Part 10)
Wade Wilson and Steve Rogers were able to see Tony's conversation with Bucky because of a shiny gold orb. It was floating in front of the mercenary in that moment, so he looked into it again.
He could see the tiny group from S.H.I.E.L.D. as they walked. They were heading North, but the pace was brutal. They were moving just short of a dead stop.
Wade was getting impatient, but he watched the progress. Ezekiel Stane kept making internal adjustments to his armor as he followed the others.
Wade watched as the suit covered his skin, then it randomly disappeared. The process repeated itself as the group moved in. The constant adjustments to the suit were accomplishing, what now?
Deadpool could only wonder, but he noticed that the length of time was extending. Ezekiel started wearing the armor for a longer length of time, and he continued answering Bucky's questions.
It felt very random, but the Jackal answered when he felt like doing so.
Obadiah's son was unaware of Wade's location. The mercenary's whereabouts were being hidden from him, until Deadpool physically left the temple.
He felt ready to head out there and cause some mischief, but something was holding him back. Wade couldn't put his finger on it, but in that moment he felt like waiting. The timing wasn't right.
The mercenary watched the white suit disappear once again, and he noticed the demeanor of the person that was hidden within it.
Ezekiel didn't seem as strong as he was before. Wade knew that his attack was a killing blow. It was a failed killing blow, but obviously he accomplished something.
That actually bothered him, tho...
Tony and Steve told the infamous "Deadpool" that he could leave the temple when he felt ready. They weren't sure why he was stalling, but neither of them asked.
