No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 1

Chapter 77: Red Lights (Part 7)

Bucky Barnes never stood up.

Ezekiel tossed him aside when he attacked Deadpool, but he didn't move an inch. Natasha stood up immediately after she hit the ground, but she just observed.

The Widow started studying the armor that she was wearing, while Bucky watched everyone interact. He figured out pretty quickly that Steve was running the show.

He wondered what the pep talk was about when he watched his friend pull Ezekiel away from the others.

The Jackal's expressions couldn't be seen, because he was still wearing his suit. Steve seemed almost paternal in that moment, yet stern.

Tony was a different story. He seemed more reserved, for once, and it was a bit odd.

Bucky wasn't following, but he kept watching the pack unravel. Bucky also started messing around with the foot of Natasha's suit as he observed.

It gave him something to do, and she didn't think anything of it.

Oh wait, there were a few more people in the mix. Stephen and Victor showed up unannounced, so Bucky started looking over toward the two of them...

Victor seemed a little spaced out. Bucky watched Victor's friendly roommate say something about leaving. Barton's question wasn't technically ignored, but the not-so-winter soldier could see where Victor's attention went.

Ezekiel Stane had Victor's full attention. Bucky saw it all. He wasn't surprised either when Barton distanced himself from the group.

Leaving did seem like a magical idea. Bucky almost offered up his opinion on that, but doing something like that required effort. The not-so-winter soldier was lacking the ability to have any effort in that moment.

That was Steve's fault...

He watched his best friend as he eventually addressed the group. Steve informed everyone that he was formulating a team, and they basically failed their first test.

Great job team. Way to fail.

Victor was listening as best he could. He heard Steve politely telling everyone his intention and plans, but he had already heard what his role was supposed to be from his brother.

The baby Strange's ears were ringing and burning up. He felt nervous because of what happened with his friendly rooommate. Victor couldn't move past it.

He couldn't possibly take in anymore information either. Deadpool was supposed to join them and make amends for his crimes? Say what? Victor felt a little more than dizzy when he heard that...

The baby Strange turned around. He centered his focus on the only person that was looking away from the group. His friendly roommate didn't want to be there. He was obviously listening, but the archer seemed very far away.

Victor slowly moved three of his fingers, and made a circular gesture. Doing that formed a portal directly beside his friendly roommate.

He gave the archer a chance to leave the conversation and Victor didn't see him hesitate at all.
