No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 1
Chapter 84: Oxygen (Part 4)
Stephen Strange returned to his loft at the Sanctum Sanctorum. His sister was there and she was sitting in his chair.
She was processing what she came to learn in the Dark Dimension, and she was the person responsible for taking Christine Palmer home.
Stephen's "acquaintance" was banished from Clea's world, and Sofia Strange was taken back to her mother.
The sister didn't have time to explain all that, because her brothers were busy elsewhere. Now all of that S.H.I.E.L.D. related "busy" work came to an end, so the sister waited patiently for her older brother to return to the issue.
Stephen stood beside the desk. He didn't say anything to Donna at first. Getting Victor a bit more focused was the plan, so..
"The only illusion I discovered is the faith you have in your own loyalty, Stephen."
Meaning even the great Sorcerer Supreme could make mistakes. He failed to keep tabs on the other versions of himself, so they forged lives of their own.
Stephen heard his sister's opinion. She told him what happened in the Dark before he left the Sanctorum with Victor.
"Are you going to give Christine what she wants?"
Donna had to ask, but she wasn't very eager to hear the response. Her mind had become exhausted, and her opinion of Christine was pretty low.
She wanted him to release "her" version of Stephen. She actually said those words out loud for Clea to hear.
Stephen closed his eyes for a bit. He could see that Christine was back at the hospital. The sorcerer pondered her condition, and what she was asking for.
"I'll think it over."
He felt very separate from the alternate versions of himself, so Stephen considered himself to be very loyal to Clea. He didn't cheat on her, and he couldn't imagine himself doing that.
Stephen felt as though he had even more damage to repair with his wife, so his place was at home with her in the Dark Dimension.
He said something about going there as he left the Sanctorum. Donna kept staring at the desk that was supposed to belong to the Sorcerer Supreme.
She agreed with his plan to leave, but she wasn't sure how to handle what he said about Christine. She figured it wasn't her issue to take on in the first place, but...
Donna Strange wished him all the best, then she decided to excuse herself from her brother's mess.
