No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 1

Chapter 94: My Sweet Summer (Part 4)

Wade Wilson was, peculiar.

The word wouldn't leave Ezekiel's mind when he listened to a conversation. "Captain America" gave the mercenary a call.

He asked Wade if "the two of them"were ready to head in. Steve Rogers didn't seemed rushed, just curious.

There was no, "the two of them"…

Maybe. Ezekiel thought about that. He was in Wade's bedroom while the chatty mercenary carried on a conversation with Steve. He was giving him an update of sorts, but he acted like he didn't know who Ezekiel even was.

Ezekiel who? He said. It was amusing.

Steve Rogers didn't seem bothered with the obvious dodge of the subject. Obadiah's son listened to the exchange, and he started spacing out a little bit…

He was there, with Wade. Ezekiel realized he had been there for quite awhile. He wasn't comfortable at first.

"Deadpool" made things easier. He was very easy-going, and…

Ezekiel was in a contemplative mood. He was processing a few things, because he opened up to Wade in a different way. It was nothing like what happened with Victor. He wasn't comfortable with it for almost a week..

"AY, I'll let you know if I see him somewhere. I actually haven't seen him since that wizard kid did a fly-by."

Meaning, Victor Strange launched him off toward oblivion. Steve understood the reference, and Wade Wilson wasn't fooling anyone.

The blonde knew that Ezekiel was there at that precise moment. He couldn't see him, or anything like that, but Steve had his ways of gathering information.

Wade did admit that he wasn't really ready to head in for any "community service". He told Steve he felt content at home. He told Mr. Stars and Stripes that he felt a little more domesticated than normal.

Truth was, he was trying to help someone overcome some sort of a breakdown. Ezekiel had a bizarre reaction to their eventual and repeated hook-up.

Wade enjoyed it, of course, but it seemed like Ezekiel lost his mind.

The mercenary was a little less sensitive to that sort of stuff, so he just did his thing and kept an eye on that, "Silver Dollar".

Wade got distracted. Steve was saying something to him about coming in after a few more days. Wade heard that, but he was staring off toward the person that was sitting on his bed.

Ezekiel wasn't in a place where Steve could see him on the screen, but the blonde could tell Wade was staring off toward someone else.

"A few days works for me. Buh-bye."

The conversation concluded, so Wade closed the screen. He decided to head over toward the over-thinker that was dominating his time and his messy bedroom.

"Did you catch all that?"

Wade's voice seemed playful. He even hopped a little as he moved back into the bed and closer to Ezekiel.

His quiet nature grew on Wade a long time ago. The mercenary liked to push his buttons, and he liked to do things to get Ezekiel reactive and talking.

It didn't take much, and that was part of the problem. Wade's mouth was on Ezekiel's shoulder before he gave him any sort of response.
The chatty merc was like a rabbit, or something. Always going and very full of life. Victor Strange was never sure with his actions. There was always a hesitation.

Wade wasn't like that at all. He was very sure and almost demanding. It was very physical and Ezekiel felt consumed with it.

"Yes, I caught all that."

That's all he could say. Ezekiel gave Wade some verbal confirmation. He had to, because they both were doing some adjusting.
