Typical day for anyone in New York getting their day moving with a man walking to the kitchen to grab himself some coffee. He yawned stretching his arms scratching his head looking at the living room finding a girl with black hair with white streaks asleep on the couch. "Val? Val?" Said the guy. He grabbed a piece of bagel and threw it at her head making her wake up. Val grabbed the bagel to throw hard bac at him but he caught it and prepared it in the toaster. She got out of the couch going to the bathroom to do her routine while breakfast was being made. "Got any laundry to be done, Devin?" said Val turning the shower on. "No." said Devin. "Okay. You busy today?" said Val. "Not really. Jane wont be off of work until one in the morning." said Devin. "Damn. I was hoping we go out and have a drink. Its been some time since i came out to you guys." Said Val. "I can call her if you want." Said Devin. "No. We both how hard she works but if you want to call her. She's your girlfriend. Not mine." Said Val slipping on a long black oversize long sleeve shirt with a white David Bowie shirt over it and put on her baggy ripped jeans and white Nikes. "By the way you missed a call from your parents and called me saying that theyre coming today." Said Devin. Val grabbed her phone seeing the messages that she got form her mom and dad. She hummed before taking her chain wallet as Devin handed her bagel with cream cheese. "Still up for tonight." Said Devin. "Just stand by just in case." Said Val. She and Devin heard a knock on the door going to answer it finding a short man walking in while hes on the phone. "Hey baby Gaston." Said Val getting the bird from him. "Chase. She only kidding except you being close resemblance to live action Gaston. "Fuck both of you." Said Chase holding the phone away. "Lesbian." Said Val before taking a bite of her bagel. "Cancel the fucking reservations. We cant celebrate my sisters graduation at shitty restaurant." Said Chase them hanged up. "Valentina. Would you mind . . . " "What dish bitch? And how many people. I got parents to disappoint today." Said Val. "Ten . . .ish. You know my family is picky. Chick fil a or Steakhouse. We are moving everyone to my house." Said Chase. "When is it?" Said Val with her mouth full. "Seven." Said Chase. "And you couldnt have given her aheads up. She worked thirteen hours at Gori Diner." Said Devin. "My sister is bringing in her kids after the divorce was final." Said Chase. "The one that hates me." Said Val. "Yes." Said Chase. ""Then look like i have to help her since we both know theres gonna be a fight " said Devin. "True but she starts it." Said Val finishing her breakfast and placed in the sink to wash it. "We'll come with something and you pick it up around six." Said Val. "Was there anything else?" She asked. "No but i got Tea." Said Chase. "Then Spill bitch." Said Val making her coffee. She went to sit down but got a call checking to see it was her mom. "Hey Valentina. We are at the airport for you to pick us up." Said a womans voice. "Cant you take a cab?" Said Val. "Not fucking happening. We got over Covid. Just get your ass over here." Said a mans voice. "Got it." Said Val hanging up. She grabbed her keys walking out to the garage to the broken down car getting in and left the lot.

After driving two hours Val pulled up the side letting them load their luggage into the trunk but it was hard to open it. Val walked out going to the trunk moving her dad aside to slam her elbow hard using all of her weight to pop it open then went in finish her mom seated on the passenger side. "So how you been Valentina?" Said the woman. "Ive been okay mom." Said Val feeling the car bounce. She then slammed her fist against on the back door behind her to let her dad in. "Did you find someone?" Said the woman. "Mackenzie. Leave her alone. Anything new?" Said The man. "Not really. But theres something that i have to tell you." Said Val driving off. "So what is you want to tell us?" Said Mackenzie. "Its been on my mind a lot and here it goes. I like girls." Said Val. She looked at her mom who had a frozen look on her face with the way she was smiling and looked at her dad who leaned over kissing her cheek. "Im proud of you. Did you find herself a girlfriend?" Said the man. "Marcus. She is clearly confused since she still young. Now i have numbers to cute guys that looked perfect for you." Said Mackenzie. "Im not confused and if i was straight. You think I'd dressed like a dude?" Said Val. "Thats because of your two brothers." Said Mackenzie. "Its doesnt matter. Just be happy she came out and you owe me five hundred dollars." Said Marcus. "Im not giving you anything. Shes clearly confused." Said Mackenzie looking at him. "Mom!" Said Val. "Mackenzie!" Said Marcus looking at her with Val. "Dont force her into something shes not." Said Marcus. "Im not forcing her." Said Mackenzie. Val listened to her parents arguing over her coming out until she reache dro their hotel dropping them off and went back home to get the food ready. She and Devin cooked the dishes and placed in the containers for Chase to pick up. Ding. Ding. Ding. "Im guessing Coming out to parents went bad huh?" Said Devin seeing texts from Mackenzie. "My mom thinks im confused while Dad accepted it. They were having a fight over it where i drop their asses at the front of their hotel and left." Said Val. "Shit. Well lets go drink until we forget that happened." Said Devin. Val nodded and texted Chase before they left to take the food since he got the spare key to their apartment. She and Devin went to the club slash restaurant getting their night started even running into their friends.

It was late as Val was talking to some of the guys about the lastest music and just hang out. She laughed about something one of the guys said when someone tapped her shoulder. "Stacey!" Siad Val hugging her. "Hey Val. Wanna go get another drink before we go on the dance floor." Said Stacey. "Sure. Im down." Said Val following her to the bar. She was given a drink by a girl that Stacey was good friends with looking at her. "You know i was thinking about this alot lately. I thought you didnt like my people being out lile this. I told my parents and mom still thinks im straight. Its really . . . fucking annoying how she keeps sending me number of guys or getting dick picks." Said Val before drinking. "People just cant be accepted or dont understand. Come on lets go." Said Stacey dragging her the dance floor. She and her friend danced side by side near Val who following the flow of the music being played barely catching up from the drink she had. Val then suddenly felt dizzy enough to bumped into Staceys friend and got shoved down. "Watch it weirdo." Said the girl. "Easy Ally. Come on." Said Stacey helping Val up with Ally by her side. They guided Val away from the club area looking for anyone watching and took her tot eh kitchen. "Where are we going?" Said at them. "To take somewhere to cool down." Said Ally grinning. She held Val by the arms as Stacey open the freezer to throw Val in and locked it. Stacey amd Ally sees Val get up using the racks to keep her steady and began banging on the small window. "Guys let me out. What are you doing?" Saos Val. "Putting freaks like you in their place. If you were straight then youd be home with my man Devin." Said Stacey "He has Jane." Said Val slamming her fist on the glass making it crack. "Not for long." Said Ally before they both left. Val banged on the door even screaming for help but the cold temperature wasnt much help or the drink that she was given. She slid down against the racks shivering violently and slowly passed out. Vals soul levitated out of her body looking around confused when she saw a light above her. She felt fault herself drawn to it but was pushed back by a deer with a business outfit. "Yeah sorry. I cant let you into heaven. Says here you caused a death of a few humans including children during a bakery sale two years ago." Siad the deer angel. "And thats my fault? I didnt know about the drugs were mixed in. I dont fuck up on my cook or baking " Said Val before she dropped down through the floor screaming.
