Chapter 25: Mother:
Michi's POV:
I woke up and found my hands in the river. I wasn't sure what happened. I then found the thread. "Prudence," I said.
Taruho's POV:
Takashi and I were running. Because of Takashi's limp, he fell to the ground and then rolled down the hill, into the river. "Takashi," I said. I then ran to him. I kept calling to him as he was splashing around. As I was about to grab him, a giant mermaid like monster came out and ate him. "Mother," I said. She then came at me, but I got out of the river and ran.

I hid behind a tree. Mother was looking for me. I then prayed to the Lord. Just as she was about to find me, there was a siren sound, but this time, it wasn't Mother, in fact, this time, she was the one feeling pain! Mother then disappeared. I believe the Lord was giving her a taste of her own medicine.

I'm still partially to blame for all of this. I found some mermaids, so I sacrificed myself to them...
