Dealing with Siblings

Kol - Baby Brother

Klaus POV:

I open the door of the secret room behind the movie room. Five coffins are there obviously Elijah's empty. One spell locked which is my mother. I slowly move to the coffin with the initial K in it and opened it.

There lies my little brother, who I had to stand, and watch him burn alive. With loads of regret without able to do anything about it, failure washing all over again with helplessness hitting hard more than losing his Henrik.

After one thousand years, being the Original Hybrid strongest creature in the world, still unable to stop his brother's death.

Wiping my tears clear, I pull out a dagger from his heart and wait for my little brother to wake up. In a minute or two Kol wakes up with a loud gasp. He examines the room; jumps out of coffin and takes the blood bag I offered.

He finishes the blood bag in a second and took another bag. Once he finishes that he asks, "I take we are not in New Orleans anymore" I say "No brother, we are in Mystic Falls"

"Have you got rid of our beloved father, is that why you woke me up? Or have you had spat with Elijah and now he fled from you before daggering him? Or did you kill one of Rebekah's suitors again, now she hates you? How long had it been? What's the occasion Nik?" Kol lines up his accusation with anger in his tone.

I accept all his anger and move forward to hug Kol; he lightly steps back expecting stab in the heart. But I forced him towards me and held him for a minute in a hug and let him go.

He stares at me with shock and confused expression and talks tentatively "What happened Nik, why are you behaving weird?" I chuckle at that and shake my head. "Nothing happened brother, I was just in a mood to hug my baby brother. Can't I?"

He murmurs warily that how all these years he was invisible to me. I grabbed his shoulders and made him look at me I say as follows looking into his eyes straight ahead "Little brother, I will not apologise for wanting to protect my siblings from any danger. My method of protection was not always up to the mark. You are a Mikaelson Kol, my blood, my family. Which means I love you Always and Forever"

Kol whispers that he was not part of that pact one thousand years before. "It does not matter you are physically there or not brother. I may not have shown that the way you expected of me, but never ever think for a second that you are not loved; you are part of Always and Forever Kol. Do you get it. I always secretly adored you brother, even though you lost your magic you found a way to associate with witches and keep going. Sometimes I have envied of your wild free spirited nature Kol. That is what is true, you must understand this"

Kol directly looks into my eyes and nods his head lightly with utter shock. I hugged him once more for few seconds and let him go.

We both sits opposite then Kol asks, "What happened Nik, have you lifted your curse and become hybrid? Is that why you woke me up for a celebration"

I shook my head "No brother, though I'm working on it. Today I'm going to body jump on local high school history teacher to check up on my doppelgänger Elena. And planned on getting inside information about Bennet witch Kol"

His eyes widen at that "Bennet you say brother, lovely" smiles mischievously.

"Yes brother, Bennet witch but a novice at that. Currently we are at odds, her being best friend with doppelgänger who I am going to sacrifice. After my ritual I want you to teach her the art of witchcraft you know brother. I'm getting her to be at our side through my acquaintance"

Kol gets the nonchalant expression of Nik while mentioning his acquaintance, but he stores it for another time "Well brother, why do I have to teach her? Do you plan to use her regarding our daddy dearest?"

"No Kol, we do not want any help regarding our father. He is currently in deep slumber with white oak stake tucked away along with him. As far Bennet witch we may need for whole other reason. We can talk about that later. First things first, I want you to go on a little trip in search of Professor Atticus Shane"

"What about him brother? Human professor"

"I heard he is working for a Silas cult which you are so absorbed in incapacitating each and every one of them speaks of him"

Kol suddenly stands straight and tells me "Silas should not be awakened Nik; he will bring literal hell on earth. With what freshly un-daggered I love this earth so much so"

"I'm with you on this brother, which is why I want you to work on this eliminate the threat in the beginning itself"

"Very well, I'll start right away then Nik" Kol said and moves to the door. "See you soon brother" I say.

Before he steps out, I stopped him and gave him a mobile phone with our numbers "Do not feed on locals Kol, here the founder families are in the known of Vampires. Even if they can't do any harm to us, I want us to be in discreet at least till I have completed my rituals. I have texted you the professor's name and the college he works currently"

He picks it from me. "Okay brother, as you wish" with that Kol gone to his adventure.

Next, I plan on waking Finn, but before that I must secure one person attendance while he is awake.

Finn - Oldest Brother

Klaus POV:

Once I finished my call with Sage to get her here while I wake up Finn. Luckily, she is nearby and already planned on coming to Mysticfalls on hearing the rumors of doppelganger. Maybe she was planned to bargain with me for Finn with doppelganger not sure, what she planned.

But since Ayanna said that everything starts from Finn's death, I had half mind to keep him daggered till we eliminate our dear old father and mother. And burned down all the white oak tree.

Then, Sage came across my mind. How she was waiting for my brother all these years to be reunited with him. Last time, they both had merely few hours together after 900 years long waiting, which was very unfair to either of them. Even though we came to know that critical piece of information of sire line dying with the Original, it is too much cost.

So, I plan on doing things right not only for me, but by all my siblings. Maybe, I could win Finn over my side and get my elder brother back as we were in our human days.

For some reason Mikael never even raised his voice to Finn in their human days. Maybe because both Freya and Finn were his first children and after Freya being lost, he felt pity for Finn.

Either way Finn will always take Mikael away from home when the other siblings are playing or having a good time chatting, braiding, etc., so he won't beat the pulp out of me for having such moments.

While in my deep thoughts, I heard knock from the main door. I opened the door to see Sage and one more Vampire standing behind her. I immediately said "Sage only you are invited inside. And before you object, yes this is relating to Finn. I give you my word not to harm you in anyway"

She looks me into my eyes searching for any deception, when she was sure and satisfied, she turns to her Vampire "You may wait for me in the woods Troy. I will be back".

He hesitates but nods his head and vamped out. Then I opened the door wide enough for her to step in and said "Welcome Home, Sage"

She steps into the mansion, wary of my wording and still on guard for any surprise attacks. I asked her to sit in the living room sofa and went for a liquor cabinet near the entrance of dining room. I poured some bourbon for both of us and handed her one glass. She takes it from my hand waits for me drink. I sat in a loveseat sofa placed diagonally to her left.

I sip my bourbon and start, "I am planning on waking up Finn today, Sage. That is why I called you here" her face shows shock and light hint of uncertainty of my words.

"Initially, I thought of waking him up after I lifted my curse and killed Mikael. But now at this moment, there is a threat looming around Originals and targeting Finn to help their cause" I must make up something without telling the whole truth, so I continued.

"If he was to capture by any of them at this status, he won't be able to fight with them. So, I want you to take Finn and catch him up on modern day cultures and what nots. To be discreet and hideout for some period till I annihilate that threat"

"Why are you doing this now? Why talking to me about this? You want me to sweet talk him not to hate for daggering him so long uh?" she lines up her questions with anger of being used for my benefit.

I calmly took another sip and said, "No Sage, I have not invited you to sweet talk him to like me. He is my brother, my blood, even if he does hate me now. I saw how you are still in love with my brother and waiting for him all these years. So, I'm trusting you with his life. That is why I have invited you, once I wake up my brother and had a little chat with him. You both can start long awaited journey"

Then stood up and beckoned her to follow me to the room where he lays in coffin. Once we are in the room, I opened the coffin with the initial F. Then I took the dagger from his chest and we both waited for him to wake up. Sage held Finn's hand with so much on emotions swirling in her eyes, threatening to fall in forms of tears.

I cleared my throat and gave the blood bags to Finn; he took it greedily and looked into my eyes with full of anger and disdain of me. Once he finished all the 3 blood bags, he was somewhat calm from blood lust.

He asked, "What is this brother?" with his throat still coarse from long slumber. "I have decided to turn a new leaf brother, that is why I woke up all my siblings from daggered deep slumber" I said with tease in my tone.

Both Sage and Finn snorted at that, then Finn responded, "Are we really talking to you Niklaus?". I nodded my head. Went near him and helped him out of coffin. Once he is out I hugged him tightly and patted his shoulder. He was dumbstruck at my actions and hesitantly hugged me back.

After our hugging, I held his shoulder for him to look at my eyes while I speak so that he will know that I am not doing any trick here. "Look brother, I am sorry for daggering you this long but not sorry for daggering you in the first place. I was paranoid and overbearing and feared; because of your foolish affections you'll get killed by our father. But now I know how wrong of me for doing this to you. Even our father has not dealt with, we have new threat looming around our family. That is why I am waking you up, I am close to lifting the curse our mother placed on me here in Mystic Falls. I know I could protect you at least till the curse is lifted, but then I heard of Sage lurking in the next town in the hopes of getting you back. So I thought, maybe you can get acquainted with the modern days with the love of your life while I work on my curse. Then we can show this supernatural world who is the boss here, with us being united front as family"

Finn attempts to speak, I continued over his attempt "Here me out brother, I am not asking you to forget and forgive whatever I did to you. All I am asking is, be happy and enjoy yourself as a Vampire which our dearest mother changed us to be"

"What is in it for you Niklaus? Why now?" asks Finn.

"For me it is the Family and the vow we took all those years back Always and Forever brother, nothing else is required. Even if you can't trust me, I want you to know that I want all my brothers and sister to be alive and happy. That is why I had daggered you back then, even though it was not the right way. I did what I did to protect my family brother. I hope one day you'll understand me. After all we have an eternity to amend our relationship"

I held his hand in a handshake and we shared the eye contact for few more minutes. Then I turned to Sage who is standing silently and absorbing us brother moment without interruption, "Sage, I give you my word that from here after you are also a Mikaelson and a part of Always and Forever. You have protection of myself and my family with you. I trust you with my brother's life, I want you to replicate the same loyalty to my brother Finn. I could not be able to reach you till my curse is broken. Thus, I want you both to be far from here, where anyone would least expect you"

Sage nodded her head warily at my sincerity and held hands with my brother. "I have arranged fresh clothes for you in your room brother. You and Sage can refresh there; then start your journey. Sage, have this burner phone with you and this card for your expenses. If you want anything or sense any danger, call me through burner phone, I have logged 2 contacts in it for your emergencies, those numbers are mine and Elijah's" she took the items from my hand and pocketed in her dress. I turned to my brother and hugged him once again. "Be safe brother. Once everything is settled, we can have a family reunion with all". He nodded and left the dungeon with Sage.

Finn has not forgiven me fully I know, but it is a start. As I said to him, I want my family to be happy and live their life. Not just because I want my family beside me for all the threats we must face. Now I have our lovely little sister.

Rebekah - Family's Little Sister

Klaus POV:

I opened the coffin where Rebekah is lying and took the dagger out. Since she is the one I have daggered last, she gaps for air quicker than the other two. She looked me and asked, "How long is it Nik?"

"Have this blood dear sister, we have a lot to catch up on last 90 years"

"You prick bastard, ninety years you daggered me for what? Just because I love Stefan and want my life to be happy"

"First have some blood dear sister, after that we can discuss on my unholy ways of treating my family"

She took the blood bags from me and finished first two in record time and drank the third one slowly savouring every last drop of it.

"What is now Nik? Why you woke me now? What do you want from me?" line of questions thrown at me.

I sighed and started, "I woke you up to free you, Bekah. I know it was wrong of me to dagger you instead of speaking to you or explaining the situation, but you were not thinking rationally at that time being in love with Stefan and all. Mikael was very near to us that day If I had to leave you back, he would have captured you and made you as a bargaining chip to lure me in. What do you think he will do to your love Stefan, Bekah? I made him forget us and daggered you to save all of us from Mikael.

I could never leave you behind Bekah. Whatever it takes, I'll always protect you Sister. So, I will not apologise for daggering you, but it was wrong of me to have this conversation after this long. And I am sorry for that Bekah"

I watched as I finished my part, she relieved from angry to subtle expression upon hearing all that. I reached for her hands and squeezed a little, "To make it up to you, I have secured a place in local high school for you to join and have a bit of human fantasy as you always wish Bekah. Stefan is also studying there, but I haven't given Stefan his memory back. Currently he is flaunting over the new doppelganger who I am going to use in the ritual to lift my curse. So, I suggest you maintain a bit of distance from him for now. Or you could have you own time around familiarising yourselves with the current trend on fashion and what nots. The choice is your' s sister, you can do whatever you want. All I ask is to be subtle till my ritual is completed"

She looked into my eyes sharply and asked, "What happened when I was daggered Nik? You seem more relaxed and way more sincere than in last thousand years. I know, this is the Nik I had grown up with as a human. But what changed now, you have not even lifted your curse yet. Seeing the empty coffins around I take you woke both Kol and Finn too."

I smiled lightly at my sister's observation "Yes, little sister I woke up both Finn and Kol. And had my peace spoken to them. Both our brothers are in their own adventure now. I want the same for you Bekah, for you to be in your own adventure. As for what happened to me, I'll let all of our family know at once after breaking my curse. I have waited far too long for this Bekah; I do not want anything to go wrong this time"

"Where are we now Nik?"

"We are in our mansion build on the exact same location of our hut thousand years back Bekah. Mysticfalls, Virginia"

"Okay, since you haven't lifted your curse and not going to lift Stefan's compulsion. I will go to Chicago to catch up with the decades I missed out with Gloria. You do not call me if you need anything at all" she said and stood to walk out.

I stopped her for a hug, she was shocked at my actions I know. She had known me the most among the siblings, that I do not appreciate this kind of silly display of affections or any emotions for that matter. She hugged me back tightly with light tears in her eyes not believing herself in what's happening.

I whispered, "Take care of yourselves sister" and let her go with the mobile and a credit card for her expenses. I explained her on some of the basics of present days and had the jet prepared for her departure.
