In Gotham, The Joker stood over several unconscious people each wearing a colorful vest with wiring sticking out at odd angles.
"Umm Mista J I don't think he's comin'," Harley Quinn said as she and the thugs played go-fish.
" I know Harl, he should have been here minutes ago and fighting you and the boys while I taunt him with jokes, heck not even the cops showed up, I'm not sure what's up kidnapping theses," gesturing to the hostages some of whom were waking and showing fear others confusion, " should have been flashy enough to get their attention so where are they?" Joker asks.
One of the thugs looks up from his cards " Uhh the yoke bombs didn't go off after we grabbed the people," he said not realizing that he was in trouble as he went back to his cards.
Bang! Bang! Bang! The Joker shoots the man with a gun shaped to looks like a water pistol, "We've been here for hours and you're just now telling me that the opening act flopped?" he asked while walking to the thug.
" Uh, boss he's out cold I think he hit his head on the way down," another thug said after leaning over to look at the man's cards and found he wasn't holding the cards he needed.
"Harley get rid of the hostages," Joker said slumping as he stood over the downed thug hand trembling, "You let us down the show must have an opening act with other bits leading to the main act with a great punchline, and you let us down in the opening credits?" he asked then let his gun fall to his side.
Harley meanwhile was untieing the ropes and removing the vest, " Sorry guys but we got canceled before the show even started," she said while finishing up with the last who was a little girl who looked extremely angry.
"You clowns messed up a job I've been setting up for weeks, how are you going to fix it?" The Living Doll demanded to know.
"Uh sorry Lilly I didn't know you was workin' that street when I dropped 'em off ta grab people," Harley apologized, her normal chipper expression falling from her face.
Sighing Lilly slumped back as the other hostages quietly moved away from the two, " It's fine Harley it's not that bad I was just scoping the place out I was going to hit them in a day or two," Lilly said while trying not to let Harleys forming pout get to her when Harley suddenly hugged her to her chest.
"Mista J those guys messed up The Doll's play," Harley said as she turned to the Joker holding Lilly like an actual doll under her breast as she now had a deadpan expression.
The Joker spun around to see what Harley meant and saw Lilly, "We didn't sign up for a crossover," he screamed before turning and shooting the downed thug again, then he slumped into a chair dropping his pistol.
"I'm going to take Lilly to Pam's for a while," Harley said while easing away from the Joker when he gets quiet as sometimes he gets mean.
"What? Oh yeah, I'll be working on the next show for a while so I'll let you know when it's ready, " the Joker said not paying attention as Harley led the hostages out of the building.
As they got outside Harley pointed to the east, "We nabbed ya guys a few blocks that way," she told them before turning and walking away keeping Lilly hugged to her chest.
The hostages looked at one another before shrugging and going in the direction Harley pointed, both groups had made it two blocks when the building they were in was filled with a clear slimy substance.
" Harley I think maybe the timmer was off on that yoke bomb," Lilly said as Harley turned to see what happened.
"Uhh yeah but Mista J set them, I'm not goin' in there that stuff is too much trouble to get out of the hair," Harley said before turning to continue to Poison Ivy's greenhouse.
Alex woke to the feeling of a small body landing on his stomach, "Daddy it's time to get up," Karen said as she started bouncing on the bed.
Alex groaned as he sat up keeping the covers from falling away from his waist, "Let me get ready, go to the living room, and find something on the TV to watch until breakfast," he said while catching her mid-bounce.
"Okay," Karen said while activating her powers to get out of his grip and float to the door.
"No powers in the house," Sam said after sitting up.
"Okay Mommy, " Karen said as she landed then opened the door and ran out to the living room, after a minute cartoony music began to play.
Alex flopped back down, " She takes after you, too much energy in the morning," he said pulling a pillow over his face.
"Yeah maybe a little but it is not my fault, look at the time it's six in the morning," Sam said while getting out of bed and heading to the door to the bathroom that connected to the other bedroom on this side of the hall, opening the door she found Diana stepping out of the shower.
Stepping in and closing the door she went to take care of her morning routine, " Sorry did Karen wake you?"
"No with our lifestyle I wake early and catch naps throughout the day on the watchtower," Diana said wrapping a towel around her body just before the door opened again before it slammed shut.
"Sorry we don't normally have guests, " Alex called through the door.
"Did I do something wrong?" Diana asked.
"No it's just been us for a few years and it took me a few years to get him used to walking in on me but then again I am his mate," Sam said while stripping for the shower.
"Ahh, he grew up with the normal nudity taboos I've found the people outside Paradise Island have?" Diana asks as she moves to the door leading to the room she used last night.
"Yeah," Sam said as she set the shower to how she liked it and stepped under the spray, after hearing the door close she called Alex in.
" Well at least she had the towel on," he said opening the door a little to look into the room ready to duck back out just in case.
Sam started laughing, "Yeah you're safe now get in here and do my hair and get clean and ready because I don't know how long Karen will wait for us."
It took a while to get cleaned and dressed, Alex was walking through the living room to reach the kitchen when he saw Martha looking around their backyard and waving her arms around like she was looking for something invisible.
Going to the door he opened it against the barn wall making it look like the barn had an apartment.
"Morning Martha, did you need something?" he asks startling the Kent matriarch.
Patting her chest from the slight scare she turned to face him, "Breakfast is ready and Clark said you were in your invisible home out here."
"Ahh we were getting ready to start making breakfast but I'm willing to bet a good home-cooked meal is better than my cooking," Alex said just before Karen ran out of the house to hug Martha's legs.
"Your cooking is just fine, " Sam said while pushing him out of the doorway and went to join Martha who had picked Karen up and was tickling her, Diana followed her with a smile on her lips.
"Yeah but a mother's home-cooked food makes my cooking look and taste like fast food," Alex said while closing the door.
Martha laughed at his statement while Sam shook her head, "I've eaten his cooking for years, and it's better than some fast food places I've seen.
"Well come on in the table is set," Martha said before turning to go back into the house.
The three followed her in to find Jonathan, Clark, Lois, Conner, and Kara already at the table with full plates and plenty more servings of scrambled eggs bacon sausage and toast with milk and orange juice in pitcher's.
Martha took Karen with her as she sat next to Jonathan and began making her a plate, while keeping her in her lap, the others found seats and began to fill their own plates.
When Sam took the first bite her eyes widened and she sat her fork down and looked to Martha, " Marry me or teach this guy to cook!"
"I told you," Alex said while everyone laughed while Sam was being serious.
Karen was absorbed in her eating, as they laughed before returning to their meal, " If I'm teaching him to cook how is he going to be doing the heroing?" Martha asked as she slipped some more eggs onto Karen's plate.
"Oh we're not heroes just travelers, and plus we have no training with our new powers and Sam needs to get a few days in the sun before she can do more than float," Alex said reaching for the orange juice.
"Yeah this is our first stop on a tour of the Omni verse, if we're not careful we could seriously hurt or kill someone," Sam added before focusing on her plate.
The rest of the meal was filled with various conversations until Clark and Lois stood up, "We've got to get to the Daliy planet for our assignments, I'll come back at lunch and go to the school to get things started , J'onn said he would be joining me for Megan."
"What about us?" Kara asked gesturing from herself and Conner.
" Help Pa around on the farm," Clark said with a shrug.
"I do have a fence that needs replacing and a few boulders I've been meaning to get removed," Jonathan said scratching his chin.
Sam was helping Martha clean the table, " And Alex is going to be learning to cook so lunch should be ready with plenty of leftovers to send to Flash to see if he can actually get full."
Clark and Diana laughed at that, "I've never seen him without some kind of food nearby. "
A bluish flash outside drew everyone's attention, Alex being close to a window looked out to see the Lex Luther from the CW Superman holding a book looking around the place,
"World hopping Lex, I'm going to go talk to him and mess with his head," Alex said with a grin that caused the group to look confused or concerned.
Lex was looking around when Alex stepped out of the house, " Evenin, how ken I help ya?"
Lex spun around with a fake smile on his face, "I'm looking for the Kent farm," he said while holding a book out and opening it while reading something.
"Ya found it but we ain't called it that in bout ten years or so, Ma n Pa went an moved ta the city, we been callin' it the C.K farm after I took it off their hands," Alex said while looking around as if he were proud, "Took me an my ol lady five years ta get tha place back on the even."
"And Clark their son?" Lex asked fau concern, " He and were old friends a while back and I wanted to talk and catch up."
"I dun recognize ya," Alex tilted his head in confusion, "Ya sure we was friends?"
Lex grew a large smile as he opened a box he pulled from a pocket, "Yes I am sure it was just a long time ago that we saw each other, I am here to return something I think belongs to you."
"Possible when I was a youngen people moved in and outta here like tha town was a sive," Alex said while getting closer looking curious.
Lex closed the box after pulling out a glowing green rock and held it out for Alex to take, when Alex took it he acted like he was in pain, just as another flash happened in the barn.
Lex squatted over Alex and began laughing, "Clark Kent always trusting and gullible," he stopped laughing when the book in his hand disappeared and the kryptonite began to glow a bluish light.
Alex stood grabbing Lex by the throat and held him just as a group of people came running out of the barn.
"Lex Luther a man who thought he was the smartest man alive and fell prey to a simple trick," Alex turned to the group with a smile, "You guys are late, and Lex here is all yours."
The alternate Clark stepped forward, " The book he has is dangerous," he said while looking at Lex only he didn't see the book.
"Yeah I know it'll be sent into the infinite where no mortal can get it again," Alex said while walking to the group pulling a struggling Lex with him.
The group stood there looking at him like he was crazy, "Uh sorry what?" Iris West asked.
"I've. Taken. The. Book. Of. Destiny. Away. From. Him. And. Put. It.Out. Of. Mortal. Reach," he said slowly as if talking to a child, as he was speaking he was going through Lex's pockets until he pulled out a small device and looked it over before crushing it.
"No!!" Lex screamed before he started breaking up into particals of light.
Clark, Lois, and Iris watched on in fascination and horror as this happened before Clark stood between Alex and the girls, "Why did you kill him?"
"I didn't the universe did and now they will be watching for another to try it," Alex said pulling the book out of nowhere and opened it up and began thumbing through its pages.
The three stepped back getting ready for anything but as Alex turned the pages a portal opened behind him and a woman in a gown of every nameable color and more they couldn't name.
"Hi gran I think a few melinia would be best to let the book out again the humans are still to primitive to understand it," Alex said with a smile as he turned and handed the book to her.
"Gran,?" the woman asked in a pleasant voice that reverberated in several tones.
"Yeah the top guy saved me a few years back from an accident two of his sons caused by making me a mix of them so he is gramps, and you being the only being of a similar umm nature that makes you grandmother or gran for short."
"That does seem to be a pleasant idea I've never had a child or grandchild before but it feels right, very well Alex I shall be gran," saying that she reached out and pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheek.
Alex smiled and returned the kiss with his own, "Karen come meet gran," he said and a gust of wind ruffled the clothes of all but Infinity.
"Gran?" asked the cute girl dressed in her Supergirl outfit, landing on his shoulders.
"Yep Karen meet gran Infinity, Gran meet Karen my daughter and your great granddaughter Karen."
"Hello little one , I cannot stay in a world long but it is nice to meet my you," Infinity said smiling then kissing her as well.
"Wow you have some big named family members," Sam said as she joined them in a blur much slower than Karen.
"Yeah I guess I do but it is never a good thing to brag about or I'll never get a moment's of peace," Alex said with a smile.
Sam pulled Karen off of him and put her on a hip' " Pleasure I am Sam his girlfriend or mate depending on where or when we are," Sam said while cocking a thumb at Alex.
"Please take care of them they and you are my first grandchildren, but I must depart reality can not hold up to my presence for any longer."
"Visit our home it is made for travel un places even elder beings cannot touch," Alex said while opening the door to the house.
Looking at the door then house, "I may take the invitation it will hold me for a time but I can traverse the place you speak of with ease it is my realm so to speak" Infinity said as she stepped back into the portal.
As the portal closed Karen looked at Alex, "So when do I get to meet gampa?" she asked.
Alex shrugged, " I've only seen him once but I've met dad and pops once dad is a bit funny and he gave me your mom to keep me company, " he said while side hugging Sam.
"Umm what and who?" Iris asked totally lost.
Alex looked to the three and shrugged, " I'm not getting into that it's a long story, just know Gran will have fixed what Lex broke."
Clark looked at the three," Are you three uhh Kryptonians?"
" No we are a bit further up the pyramid of existence by about a hundred levels or so," Alex said while drawing a pyramid of light in the air while pointing to near the bottom and then moving up to about halfway up.
"Ahhh unmm," Clark,Lois and Iris said with a lost looks.
"I think you broke them," Sam said while poking his side.
"Yeah kinda funny to see them like that though."
Karen flew out of Sam's arms to float in front of the three who all seemed to be deep in thought.
"Alex is it alright to come out?" J'onn ask as he phased from the ground.
" Huh? yeah he's gone and being punished for trying to mess with the multiversal system."
"We should be going now before we get the same," Lois said after a few seconds.
" Yeah you won't so much as be punished as you were trying to help but souls from other universes tend to begin to break down after a time," Alex said while the people in the house began to come out to see what was happening.
"Ahh yes well let's get home and let everyone know that the crisis is over, " Clark said before a bright light engulfed them before they disappeared.
"Gideon hold on beam me up for a second I need to take a quick trip," Alex called out then disappeared in a flash then returned the same way.
"What was that about?" Sam asked.
"Went to a world where Clark gave up his powers for Lois so I had their ship take me there and offered them the same treatment I gave our bunch here," Alex burst out laughing, at everyone's questioning looks he fought to regain control.
"Lois beat the crap out of him for giving up his powers permanently just so they could have kids instead of having the Fortress take his powers away to get some unpowered sperm and then get his powers back," he said holding his laughter for a second before losing it and began laughing again.
"Well yeah I would have done the same," Lois said while slapping Clark on the back of the head.
"Oh it gets better their daughters didn't know he was Superman and once Lois finished they tore into him," Alex said from the ground where he fell Karen sitting on his stomach.
Sam could only sigh, " Well did they take the offer?"
"She didn't give him a choice other than castration or powers then took the set and the girls did the same, he was so henpecked," Alex said while picking Karen up and tossing her up and down a few times.
"And the triggers?"
"It's fine the parents can turn it on and off unless they are in mortal danger."
"Okay well that's good for them but why go do it if he gave them up?" Clark asked.
"Darkseid is working on a way back to his Earth it would have forced him to take up his powers again but not until Darkseid killed his family, so I gave them a fighting chance."
The group all looked at him each with fear of the possibility of Darkseid killing someone in the family just to hurt Clark.
"Yeah I know it's why I did it plus Clark is the one mortal that has to hold back fighting him, " Alex grew a large grin," In one timeline Clark upped the power behind his hit by only ten percent and sent Darkseid running to lick his wounds."
"Umm I am not sure how to feel about that," Clark said looking pained.
"Yeah, he beat Kara to an inch of her life."
"Oh yeah that'll do it," Clark said pulling a stricken Kara into a side hug.
"Well you four can make a difference in the world now and if he shows up in the future you all will be able to make him regret moving against Earth just remember to train at human levels it adds to your base strength and also he doesn't know combat so find someone who can train you all in martial arts," Alex said catching Karen and standing up.
"Batman knows a few people that can help with that, " Clark said while scratching his chin when his watch began to beep.
"Time to get to work," Lois said while Clark blurred away for a second returning with their jackets and his briefcase.
After Lois and Clark disappeared everyone turned to Alex who jumped, "What ?"
"Ma and Pa," Kara said while pointing to the elder Kent's.
"We can get along just fine without having the powers," Martha said after looking to Jonathan.
"Yeah but Darkseid knows you are Clark's parents that'll likely be his point in hurting Clark once he learns that the others are stronger."
"We'll think about it," Jonathan said after a few seconds thought, " Come on kid's we can get some chores done while Martha is teaching how to cook properly."
Conner and Kara followed Jonathan to his truck and climbed into the cab ,Alex had to catch Karen as she went to fly after them, she turned her puppy eyes on him.
He fought it for all of three seconds before Sam who just looked amused then turned to follow Martha and Diana into the house.
" Listen to Jonathan and don't use your powers in view of other people," he said letting her go.
Her squeal of excitement brought a smile to him as he turned to follow the three women into the house.
While Alex was learning to cook, the women also talked about many things until lunchtime where the others came in Karen was riding Conner's shoulders happily playing with his hair.
The table was filled with many types of food, Clark and Lois came in a few minutes later joining them for lunch.
"We'll go to the school after we finish with lunch, J'onn and Megan will join us," Clark said as he sat and began filling his plate.
When everyone was finished eating Martha began gathering the dirty dishes while pulling out food containers to pack up the leftovers for Clark to give to flash.
When Clark Kara and Conner left for the school Alex stood and waved for the women to remain seated, "Gonna pop over to Gotham and see about that curse."
Sam pulled Karen close to her chest but nodded, "Don't take too long or this one will come looking for you."
"A cleansing circle should do it, Diana call ahead and let him know I'm going to be over his cave and what for. "
Diana nodded and tapped her earpiece, then she pulled Sam off to the side and began asking questions about something Alex was sure he was going to be involved in.
Alex flew up a few thousand feet and turned to scan until he spotted Gotham, he flew toward the city until he was above Wayne Manor, raising his hand a glowing white circle grew from his palm pulsing with his heart, with each pulse it grew until it covered the city.
Throughout the city, people stopped whatever they were doing to look up at the light, some watched in fear while others just shrugged and returned to what they were doing.
Bruce Wayne was entering a thrift store to purchase a large number of items just to keep up his useless Playboy image when the light passed overhead.
"He better be right," he said just before continuing to go about his shopping.
After he felt the spell reach the edges of the city and the bounds of the curse on the land he lowered his hand letting the cleansing spell fall, when the light hit the ground several shades flew from the earth and streaked at him screaming in rage.
'You are not welcome here, our curse is justified,' the most solid shade screamed.
"No, it was not, your people were already dying out before you sacrificed the last to curse the land," Alex said while pushing power into the spell, " You've damed the souls for eternity over land your leaders willingly gave up to find a tribe that would have been able to ensure that at least your people's blood would live on."
'Lies all white men lie to steal what they want.'
"Yeah and your people were already dying before the white men even came to this area, I've seen the book of Destiny, and this curse was uncalled for you and all that joined in the casting will pay for the suffering and death caused by it, goodbye," Alex said twisting his wrist clockwise, the light intensified almost to blinding before it faded taking the shades with it.
Alex hovered scanning the city and was about to fly back to the Kent farm when he saw Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and The Living Doll sitting on the roof of a large greenhouse looking up as if waiting for something else to happen.
Flying down to hover infront of the three women he looked them over and saw that they were almost exactly like they were in the series where Ivy and Harley were lovers.
"Morning ladies, Enjoying the light show?"
"Yeah it was pretty cool and confusing, I don't feel the want to go find Mista J anymore," Harley said while bouncing in the seat she was sitting in.
"Ahh cleansing spell, Gotham was cursed to be violent, you may not return to being Harlein Quinnzell but you should over time return to mostly sane same with you two," he pointed out to the other two, "Well you may want to find a priest in the slums who catches criminals and drains their youth in order to regain his youth, you may be able to give him a few decades to grow up," he said looking to Lilly.
"I've heard of that guy he's been trying to catch Mista J to take his life for years," Harley said while reaching for Lilly and pulling her into a hug.
" Well that's all I got other than one thing, Pamela why not patent your fertilizer and other things you've got to help grow plants, if you sell them to green companies and groups like that the big companies will buy it thinking it'll save them a buck and then viola your cleaning up the environment gig gets spread and you get money."
Poison Ivy's expression was one of shock as she slowly nodded then Harley jumped to hug her squishing Lilly between them.
Alex nodded then flew away to return to the Kent farm, he was halfway back when he was hit by a small missile that nearly knocked him out of the sky.
"Hi Daddy I found you, did you know that I can go round the world realfast?" Karen said happily as she hugged him tightly.
"Yeah I know but why did you fly around the world I was only a little over a hundred and fifty miles away?"
" Uh I went the wrong way and fwew around lookin for you."
"Ahh that makes sense but why not get mommy to show you?'"
"She talkin to that pretty lady bout somthin."
Now floating over the Kent's house he smiled, "Was it fun?"
"Yeah I got to see a lot, did you know there's a city under the water?"
"Yeah, that's Atlantis it's the home of Aquaman, don't go there without me or Mommy, they don't like people just showing up," he said while landing and walking into the house.
"Ok," she said giving him a hug that could crush a car.
Sam, Martha, and Diana were at the table each with a glass of tea while chatting about something then changed the subject when they saw Alex and Karen.
"Yep, different worlds same women's reactions when talking about stuff they don't want a man to hear," Alex said then kissed Sam on the top of the head.
"Yes and it'll be that way in every world we go to, "Sam pointed out with a smirk, "How did it go over in Gotham?"
Alex shrugged, "It's fine the curse was being held in place by some shades that were not happy with me cleansing the city," he said while putting Karen on his shoulder and taking a seat, " Oh and Harley said she doesn't feel the need to go to the Joker, I gave Pamela a tip to sale her stuff to clean up the world and I may have given Lilly doll a hint on how to grow up.'
Diana looked at him with a shocked expression, "Do you know how offten we've fought them and now you say they may not go about being criminals anymore."
Alex smiled, "Yeah I think that's the first sign that the city is going to get better, the bat will still need to patrol with his clan but not as much as they normally do."
Diana smiled at that then tilted her head, then burst out laughing, confusing the other's, wiping away the tears that formed.
" You're a woman can you explain that?" Alex asked turning to Sam.
Sam shrugged as she reached up to tickle Karen, "Could be anything from the bat sitting in the cave getting twitchy if crime falls to him knitting something while grumbling at his computer not telling him about a possible crime."
Diana fell from her seat laughter renewed as she pointed to Sam, "That's better, I was picturing him sitting with the question and going over theories about everyone."
"He's not that bad is he?" Martha asked while watching Diana trying not to laugh herself.
"Oh yeah he is, but that's not the shocking thing, it's his paranoia and thinking he needs to be on top of everything even getting everyone's secret identity and building a threat profile on them going so far as to build a contingency for if the heroes go rogue," Alex stated with a straight face.
All three women looked at him concerned about what he just said, "Would he go that far?"
"Yeah, I saw it happen once where the league was nearly destroyed by a supervillain who hacked into the watchtower and used his plans to attack them."
Diana stopped laughing and pulled herself back to her seat, "We need to have the computer checked."
"Yeah, you guys are going to have to get that done and don't use someone outside the league, also if Clark has any pieces of Braniac he needs to get them into a black hole."
Diana nodded then tapped her earpiece as she stood from the table and walked out of the room.
"So what did you girls get up to while I was out?"
"Female talk," Martha and Sam said together with smiles.
"Huh ok just don't corrupt Karen," he said while pulling the little girl from his shoulder to his lap.
"No promises."
"Don't worry Daddy I will tell you stuff when I gwo up."
"Thanks, sweetie but there will be times that you will not want to tell me something about and that's what Mommy is for."
Sam nodded but kept silent as she was looking forward to ' The Talk ' and just hoped that Karen wouldn't go about taking out her hormonal problems on an innocent world.
Diana returned to her seat and sat, "You are now the favorite person to the computer-savvy members they already found three back doors into the systems, and the pieces of Braniac are being taken to a black hole as we speak, one of the Lanterns is taking care of it."
"Good that saves some trouble from popping up in the future," Alex said while playing with Karen's hair.
"Well now that that's taken care of let's get to getting something started for supper, " Martha said while getting up and turning to the fridge before Sam stopped her with a hand on her shoulder.
" Tell me what you want I'll get it from the kitchen in our house, we've nearly emptied your fridge with lunch."
