"Help!" A woman yelled as she pulled at the loose rubble of a fallen apartment building, 2 children stood crying behind her, a teenage girl beside them holding a baby was trying to calm them down,
"What's going on?" Rachel asked, her boots skidding on the loose rubble as she ran to the woman's side,
"My daughter, she's still in there" She cried yanking at a steel rod,
"Stop," Rachel said "You don't want to make it any less stable, let me take care of her, you need to take them to safety, go to Titan Tower through the lobby into the elevator and down to floor B2" She instructed,
"I have to save my daughter" The woman insisted,
"No, you've done what you can now you need to leave her to me and get them to safety, I'll do everything I can to save her" She promised, after a moment of hesitation she collected the children and quickly led them down the street stopping once for a desperate glance back and then she was gone.
Rachel extended her arms out toward the collapsed entryway, and the wood and stone lifted off the ground creating a small jagged hole, sweat poured down her face, her head began aching, she adjusted her feet getting ready to make a mad dash for the hole, she took a breath and charged forward as soon as her concentration was off the rubble it began folding back in on itself, she wasn't going to make it.
She tripped forward as she came to an abrupt halt, her shoulder collided with the wall dazing her, as she pushed herself to her knees she noticed the ground had changed, the sidewalk was gone replaced with a thick red sand, she turned her eyes up, a black stone archway no stood where the apartment building had been, beyond the arch was a building made of the same black stone that looked like a church or a small castle, with 2 large towers on either side of a set of thick wooden double doors.
Rachel began walking down the uneven stone path toward the building, as she got closer she heard a chorus chanting something in a language she didn't recognize, she stopped a few steps short of the door taking in the large circular stained glass window above them, it depicted a large red figure with horns and bent animal legs, Rachel's heart pounded in her ears as she entered, the chanting got louder as she took the first step over the threshold.
The main hall of the church had stained glass windows lining the walls leading to an alter at the far side, a large black skull larger than Rachel's abdomen sat atop a stone throne beneath another large stained glass window, this 1 depicted the large figure with outstretched arms, a small dark haired naked female figure floated beneath him, 4 black tendrils connecting the 2, beneath them were several naked human figures all bowing before them.
Rachel was startled by a deep echoing laugh that rattled her bones, she span to face the door only to find the room empty, her head began aching again as the laughter and chanting got louder, and then they disappeared abruptly, and Rachel found herself inside the apartment building, she turned in time to see the hole collapse in on itself again.
