Aaron brushed a strand of hair out of Corrine's face as she slept, Aaron looked sadly at Corrine's sleeping silhouette feeling upset he couldn't do anything to help her at the time
"Why was she poisoned...she doesn't seem to be hated by any of the people" Aaron said as he puts a hand on her forehead feeling her warmth from her cheeks
"That's what I'm trying to figure out...maybe it's someone who's secretly involved with her" Ursulis said pacing the room thinking up theories and ideas to who could have poisoned her
Corrine woke up hearing Ursulis muttering angrily "if only I had been more careful I could have stopped this from happening earlier" Ursulis said hitting the wall so hard it made a dent, frustration was evident on his face
Ursulis didn't care his fist was bleeding due to punching the wall "don't do that" Corrine said sleepily half awake Ursulis and Aaron immediately rushed to her side
"Are you ok...nothing hurt" Aaron said in a panic Ursulis was the calmer of the two and gently grasped her hand with his clean one "your out of danger now your blood is detoxified" Ursulis said calmly
Corrine grasped his bleeding fist and her face darkened "you shouldn't hurt yourself because of me...it makesme feel sad, you should worry about yourself too" Corrine said sadly rubbing her cheek against his bleeding fist
Ursulis hadn't expected her to do something like that 'you just keep getting more interesting my dear' Ursulis thought to himself as he has her lay down "get some rest dear I'll put up a protection spell while you sleep" Ursulis said soothingly
Corrine nodded slowly and fell asleep instantly both Aaron and Ursulis walked out of her room so Corrine could get some rest Ursulis had an annoyed expression on his face
Ursulis turned to Corrine's mother Ryn who had been waiting outside Corrine's bedroom in worry "you know who poisoned her don't you" Ursulis said his tone dark and deadly
Aaron looked at Corrine's mother worried "do you think you could tell us" Aaron said with a look of concern on his face, Ryn sighed and brought them into a private room to talk
"When Corrine was but a young adult someone, no...something had imprinted on her it was a young man who had grown obsessed with Corrine so much so that he would stalk her from afar" Ryn said with a sigh
Hearing this made the sea witch's blood boil this also got Aaron feeling a little upset as well "the boy was so very infatuated with Corrine, I've sent him away countless times but he keeps sneaking in disguising himself as someone else" Ryn said
"Can we get a name so I can further rectify his demise" Ursulis said with a murderous expression on his face Ryn could understand the feeling very well her husbands were the same way about her...overprotective
"his name is Nicholas Smith, he snuck into the party without my noticing...probably the one who shoved me earlier since he knew Corrine is so overprotective of our family" looking out the window looking at the scenery
"Someone needs to keep a close eye on Corrine to make sure she doesn't get poisoned while she's recovering" Ursulis said crossing his arms as Aaron nodded in agreement
"Why don't you both watch her" Ryn suggested "huh!" Both Aaron and Ursulis looked at Ryn in surprise at the sudden suggestion "who better than to watch my daughter but her soulmates" Ryn grinned
"I suppose I could watch her" Ursulis said looking away not wanting to admit that he was being tsundere at the moment "I'll watch her with one eye open" Aaron said forgetting about getting his father's permission
Ryn smiled softly 'I'm glad my daughter has such dependable soulmates to rely on' Ryn thought to herself as she pats Ursulis and Aaron on the shoulder "I'm counting on you both" Ryn said
Ursulis nodded in understanding while Aaron was still processing the information in his head Ursulis dragged Aaron out and back to Corrine's bedroom to watch her
Ryn looked out the window a more serious expression showing on her face "I hope nothing bad come from this" Ryn said her expression grim and worried 'this is going to be a long night' Ryn thought to herself as the clouds blocked the moon
