The setting began on the dock of a small island in rural Canada. Suddenly, two fairies poofed into view. The man had green hair, and he was wearing a white shirt with a black necktie, and black pants and shoes. The woman had pink hair, and she was wearing a yellow shirt with dark red pants and black shoes.
"Welcome to Camp Wawanakwa!" they both said together.
"I'm Cosmo," said the green-haired man.
"And I'm Wanda", said the pink-haired woman.
"And we're..." they said in unison. "Hosting our own reality show!"
"This year, twenty characters from around the multiverse have agreed to spend eight weeks on this lonely island," said Wanda.
"What are they going to do here?" asked Cosmo.
"Every few days, each team will take part in a challenge, and the winning team will be safe," explained Wanda.
"And what about the losing team?" continued Cosmo.
"They will have to vote someone off the island," said Wanda. "By the end of the season, one camper will take home a grand prize of two million dollars!"
Cosmo lifted his wand, revealing three video tapes.
"Let's watch some of these videos to meet our contestants," he said.
The first audition video was of a vulture with spiky brown hair. He was wearing a red soccer jersey with the number 9, and blue shorts.
"Oh hey," he said as he kicked a soccer ball across a grassy field. "My name's Jason. I was born in Berlin, Germany, but have lived in Los Angeles County since kindergarten."
"The reason I signed up for this reality show is because my big brother can barely afford his apartment," said Jason. "Our parents are in prison, and my brother can't get by on driving people around town all day."
"I also want to make some new friends at summer camp," he added. "And listen to my cassette player and practice my German."
The next video was of a stubby light grey Heeler dog with spots. She was very hyper, and hogging the tablet camera.
"I'M MUFFIN!" she screamed. "I WONDER WHAT'S ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD!"
"MY FAMILY DOESN'T WANT TWO MILLION DOLLARBUCKS! I JUST WANNA PLAY THE CHALLENGES!"
"Muffin Cupcake Heeler, please be more quiet! Your little sister is napping!" Muffin's mother, Trixie, called from the other room.
"Okay Mum," said Muffin sheepishly. "I don't know what a crossover is, but it sounds pretty cool. I'm gonna have fun on the island, you just wait."
