"I didn't know she could do that." Gunvolt muttered.
"You may have seen her do it and thought it was someone else." Asimov supposed.
"So, it was some form of genetic tampering that caused this?" Lumen supposed as she pointed to Kira.
"The only genetics Kira had that were tampered with was her hair color, eye color and Septima retaining. Her hair and eye color being tampered with wasn't actually necessary." Asimov notified.
"How does someone do that? The hair and eye color changes I mean." Gunvolt pondered.
"His research is heavily based on the study of genetics. They implant Septima genes into humans as well as lab created beings. Tests are run in advance on something called a probability test. This allows the scientists to see how likely it is for the test subject to retain a Septima gene. Those tests aren't very accurate though. They did one on Nova and said he had a higher probability than I did of having the Azure Striker Septima. He didn't have the ability to use it and control it properly. Kirin's unfortunately dealing with a professional. He knew specifically what genetics did what and how to alter them to obtain a desired change. That's what was done with Kira's hair and eyes most likely." Asimov explained.
"What about the stones they used?" Gunvolt inqueried.
"They don't really work. It's just a material they think could have acted as a failsafe." Asimov informed.
"So, it's just to make them feel better?" Kira wondered.
Asimov nodded.
"What do they need to feel better about? The terrible job choices they made?" Kira seethed.
"Nobody there knew what teh job truly required. I'm sure if they knew beforehand then they would've taken another job." Asimov assured.
"Poor Mytyl, do you think he hates her? Because she has the Muse Septima and he removed it but it still resontes with her?" Kira rambled.
"I feel bad for her. But I don't even know if she exists." Lumen commented.
Kira began to get curious about her name and decided to press her employer for answers.
"I can't have just a first name. That would make people suspicious." Kira stated.
"Birth certificate." Moebius added.
"Do I have a birth certificate?" Kira pondered.
"Even GV and Lumen have one." Asimov confirmed.
"Does mine have a last name?" Kira asked.
"I haven't seen your birth certificate to know." Asimov lied.
Kira looked at Moebius who nodded.
"Can I be excused to go ahead and talk with Moebius in my room?" Kira beged.
"Sure." Gunvolt agreed.
Kira grabbed Moebius from where he was floating and went to her room with him. She sat down on her bed and placed him on her pillows.
"What's my last name then? Because I feel like he's lying." Kira requested.
"Achoo!" Gunvolt exclaimed.
"Bless you!" Kira yelled.
That's when Kira got an idea of what her last name could be, but it certainly wasn't good.
"No, that can't be right. My birth certificate exists right?" Kira rambled.
Moebius nodded.
"Is his last name on my birth certificate as my last name too?" Kira panicked.
Moebius nodded. Kira freaked out.
"A-are you sure?" Kira worried.
Moebius nodded again.
"This is all true?" Kira squeaked.
Moebius confirmed it with another nod. Kira curled into a ball and began to question herself.
"Please tell me I'm not the only one who wasn't aware." Kira assumed.
Moebius nodded.
"Literally everyone else within QUILL knew this and I was the last person to know!?" Kira ranted.
Moebius nodded a second time.
"Fight, Asimov, tonight." Moebius warned.
"Right now too." Kira huffed.
Moebius shook his head.
"Well, I'm pretty sure you'd be better off not dealing with me right now. So, I'm going talk to the boss and you can stay here." Kira notified as she left the room and closed the door.
As she entered the hall, Kira experienced another flashback. She was running through a dark hall in S-FIT. Kira heard a siren and stopped. The sound was echoing from behind her.
A female voice came over the PA system, saying "Warning, a breach in progess at unit twelve EC. I repeat, a breach is in progress at unit twelve EC.". She looked behind and ahead of her to see seven soldiers at her six and six soldiers from the front. Kira saw a shutter panel and used a Psycho Shot on it to release the shutters. One of the gunners fired a shot before the back shutter closed.
The blast hit Kira in the back who fell on the floor. She recovered from the flashback and saw Lumen standing there with a small blue and round laundry basket filled with some of GV's freshly cleaned uniforms. Kira got embarrassed and ran to the living room.
"Boss! Why didn't you tell me I have a last name!? And why did no one inform me of what it was!?" Kira shouted.
"We were afraid you would lash out, like you're doing now." Asimov explained.
"I'm simply stating how asinine that idea was! it was going to be discovered eventually!" Kira complained.
"Well at least it worked for the past seventeen years." Asimov reminded.
Kira muttered a few words under her breath and crossed her arms.
"I just wish you would've told me at least something. Taht somebody would've told me anything." Kira growled.
"You were too deep already into self loathing." Asimov stated.
"Well it's either that or I get angry at everyone who's kept this from me." Kira ranted.
"It's a lot better than being cursed with good looks." Lumen added.
"They designed GV to be appealing to girls according to the wiki." Kira notified.
"Well thanks a not." Lumen grumbled.
"I'm going back in my room. I kinda left Moebius on the pillows, so bye." Kira droned.
Kira returned back to her room and decided to chat with Moebius.
"Does Mytyl even exist?" Kira pondered.
Moebius shook his head. Kira gabbed her Swi/tch and turned it on. She played ASG3 and put on secret mission 13.
"Was Copen born an only child?" Kira guessed.
Moebius nodded.
"Who originally had the Muse Septima then? Layla if it's Lumen and Kirin if it's me." Kira requested.
A picture of Black Badge popped up, followed by one of Kirin. Kira began shaking as if she was living in the Artic.
"Wait, Mytyl was discovered to have the Muse when she was less than a year old. I'm asking this as a joke. But in all seriousness, was I born with the Muse Septima?" Kira inqueried.
Moebius nodded.
"Like, really? As soon as I took my first breath?" Kira squeaked.
Sistina's image was generated on the console.
"I've been living even more of a lie than I thought. Was the Muse removed from me and given to Lumen?" Kira wondered.
Dogvolt appeared on the handheld device.
"The only other thing I can think of is, wait. Did he take a sample of my blood, cultivate the Muse Septima somehow and then implant it into Lumen before she was born?" Kira panicked.
Moebius nodded and loaded the picture of Gunvolt. Kira swore she was about to faint. She saw her vision growing black as her strength was leaving. Luckily, Kira remained strong.
"Wait, what about the fight between Copen and GV about Mytyl?" Kira remembered.
Moebius generated Apollo's profile card.
"I'd better go ask GV and turn off the console." Kira muttered as she shut down the console and grabbed Moebius.
Kira fast walked to the living room with purpose when she stopped.
"Wait, I got that mixed up. Lumen was born before me. So that means she was five when she got the Muse, right?" Kira realized.
Moebius nodded from his spot in Kira's crossed arms. She recontinued her stride and stopped in the living room.
"I hope this doesn't ruin Lumen's reputation. She worke so hard to get to where she is today." Kira worried as she approached the couch.
Kira thought of two more concerns and decided to ask Moebius.
'Does anybody know about this already?' Kira thought.
Moebius shook his head.
'Do I have to tell them? Like, am I obligated to?' Kira guessed.
Moebius nodded.
"Kira, why didn't you finish your pancake?" Lumen inqueried.
"Because I just figured out that Mytyl's life is a lie, literally." Kira responded.
"What are you talking about Kira?" Asimov wondered.
"Mytyl never existed. Copen was born an only child." Kira stated.
"Then who ws the holder of the Muse Septima originally?" Asimov asked.
Kira could barely make eye contact with Asimov as she pointed a shaky right index finger at herself.
"How would tht have worked then?' Asimov queried.
'I had the Muse Septima since day one. A blood sample was taken from me to cultivate the Muse Septima gene. From there it was placed with Lumen." Kira explained.
"This is definitely concerning. Where did you hear this from?" Asimov questioned.
"Moebius, just now." Kira replied.
Kira began having another flashback. She was at Firmament, being dragged somewhere by 2 Sumeragi soldiers. When they stopped, the soldiers were still gripping Kira's wrists while the girl was forced to kneel. Kira looked as her head was bent down and noticed somebody's shoes. She looked up, saw it was Nova and immediately looked back down.
"Thank you, that is all. You may leave now." Nova spoke to the guards.
Once the guards left, so did Kira's hopes regarding some kind of defense. Nova turned his attention to Kira and glared at her.
"I hope you realize what you've done. You tarnished Sumeragi's reputation, which will take months to repair." Nova snarled.
Kira was beyond grateful when the flashback ended. For a moment she thought it was something currently going on.
'Is something wrong Kira Did you have another flashback?" Gunvolt wondered.
"Y-yeah." Kira nervously stuttered.
"What was it about?' Lumen asked as she scraped out the rest of Kira's uneaten pancake into the garbage.
"I was being dragged through a hall in Firmament by two Sumeragi soldiers. Suddenly, they dropped me and I heard Nova talking. I was looking down while he was talking and the soldiers were leaving. After though, I looked to see who it was and definitely regretted it. I bent my head down so I wouldn't have to see the terror in front of me. Then Nova decided to chastize me. He said "I hope you realize what yo've doen. you tarnished Sumeragi's reputation which will take months to repair." Definitely some really creepy stuff." Kira explained.
"What about the other flashback from before?" Asimov interrogated.
"Well, it's uh, it's far too embarrassing to talk about in public." Kira confessed.
"Alright, I have some paperwork that needs doing. If you wish to tell me you can do so over the phone. GV has my number." Asimov notified beore he walked out.
"Can I call him in five minutes?" Kira begged.
"He should be at his place by then, sure." Gunvolt agreed.
"In the meantime, can I ask you something?" Kira inqueried.
"What's up?" Gunvolt pondered.
"If Mytyl wasn't at the garden when you fought Zonda, then who was it? Was it Lumen that you and Copen were fighting over?" Kira questioned.
"That theory of yours makes a lot more sense now that I think about it. We were fighting over you fter all, not Mytyl or Joule." Gunvolt responded.
"He was fighting you so he could murder me? How much sense does he think that makes!?" Kira noticed.
Gunvolt nodded.
"How much does he know about me exactly?" Kira worried.
"Enough, recently he found out your true origin and purpose." Gunvolt informed.
"Oh great, another person that wants to kill me." Kira sighed.
"It's not like you aren't used to it already." Gunvolt reminded.
"I know that. But it's such a drag though. Trying to carry out missions without having to worry about people trying to wipe you out is such a bummer." Kira complained.
Kira then remembered she wanted to call Asiov and forgot. She told him she'd call ten minutes go.
"Sorry, I forgot to call. Moebius told me I'm actually alive and got fully resurrected." Kira stated.
"Isn't that what you said Elise did at Firmament?" Lumen remembered.
"Yeah, it was." Gunvolt confirmed.
"She partially resurrected the researchers but fully revived theother versions of herself from what I heard." Lumen elaborated.
"Can I partially resurrect myself in case of an emergency?" Kira pondered.
"You did it after you fought Dr. Kamizono and he shot you once." Gunvolt informed.
"Isn't that what I did when he murdered me?" Kira guessed.
"It's a good thing there's no limit to how many times you can use that ability." Lumen added.
"Why didn't you tell me you were experimented on by him?" Gunvolt wondered.
"In the first game, Joule asked if you were a scientist. That must've been why. Hey Lumen, did you really ask GV that when he freed you?" Kira inqueried.
Lumen seemed rather upset after Kira asked that question. After some time, Lumen nodded. Kira scooted off and decided to let Gunvolt know she was ready to make the call.
"What about your other flashback from earlier?" Asimov asked.
"Uh, I had two actually." Kira aditted.
"The one you said was embrrassing." Asimov reminded.
"Uh, GV, I'm taking the phone in my room and taking it off speaker." Kira informed.
"Let me know when you're done." Gunvolt requested.
Kira nodded, grabbed the phone, removed it from speaker, too k it to her room and closed the door.
"So, what happened in this vision of yours?" Asimov questioned.
Kira sighed, grabbed Moebius and hugged him. Kira looked at him and thought of something to which he nodded in response.
"What happened in the second one?" Asimov queried.
"I was in S-FIT, but it was dark in the hall. There was a siren coming from somewhere in the building. Apparently they have one of those speaker systems. It said there was a warning.
That a breach was in progress in unit twelve EC. Sudenly, I heard seven soldiers behind me and six in the front. I saw one of those shutter panels from the second game on the right of me in the hall. I used a Psycho Shot to lower the shutters. It worked, but one of the eseven soldiers managed to get a shot through. It got me right in the back." Kira elucidated.
"What about the second one?" Asimov pondered.
"I was bound by wrist and ankle straps. I saw Dr. Kamizono was trying to do something so I tried to bite his forearm near his wrist. He got up and went to do something. When he walked back near me, he came back with a muzzle. I started screaming no and shaking my head. He still put it on me, how that was I have no idea. Then, he made a vertical cut from top to bottom on my abdomen. I could feel my veins being split and my chest depressurized. After that I got lightheaded and blacked out." Kira answered.
"What was so embarrassing about it that Lumen or GV couldn't know?" Asimov wondered.
"Being muzzled, treated like a caged animal." Kira notified.
"I can see that being an issue." Asimov areed.
"He just, I'm confused. he's supposed to be dead! And yet he's alive and well making me feel unwell!" Kira ranted.
"Elise is friend with you, correct?" Asimov remembered.
"Yeah, she's the only person in Sumeragi that I can trust." Kira confirmed.
"Well she certainly takes protecting you seriously." Asimov stated.
"What makes you say that?" Kira inqueried.
"She tried to kill me for talkign to you one time." Asimov explained.
"Elise, experiment, Dr. Kamizono." Moebius notified.
"So he's experimented on her before? That reading about him experimenting on her. After reading that I was thinking how grateful I was that nothing happened to her. But it looks like that same happiness also caused sorrow." Kira sighed.
"What did you learn?" Asimov questioned.
"Apollo experimented on Elise after I read about it from someone's writing." Kira elaborated.
Just then, Kira's mind was invaded by another flashback. She swung her arm back and generated an summoned a Lux Ballista bow with Psycalibur swords. These swords were a mix between the Psychokinesis Septima and Luxcalibur swords. She released them, and he took no damage whatsoever. That's when Kira saw Dr. Kamizono remove the Border from its holster. He shot Kira before turning around and talking to Mr. Yamato.
"Lock her up in the basement. This time she's gone too far." Dr. Kamizono snapped.
Kira blinked and the flashback was gone.
"Actually, I just had another flashback. I had a bow from Lux Ballista. But the strange thing is I had two Septimas mixed in the swords that replaced the arrows. pPsychokinesis and Azure Striker. Somehow that didn't even faze him, almost as if Dr. Kamizono had Prevasion. And when that didn't work, he shot me! After, the man really got some nerve. He told Mr. Yamato to lock me up because that time I'd gone too far." Kira grumbled.
While picking up the phone, Kira noticed something. There was a dot of blood under Kira's skin at the bottom of her right middle finger.
"Did something happen last night tht I missed?" Kira worried.
"That depends, what are you talking about?" Asimov asked.
"I'm currently staring at the bottom of my right index finger. There appears to be a pinprick of blood under my skin there." Kira notified.
