Hey, guys! Welcome one and all to the first-ever Jurassic Universe Halloween Special! Credit to Nitro Zeus for the idea of this chapter and for so helping me out with its creation...anyway, I don't own anything, except for my OCs.
NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!
It was the night of Halloween in Beach City as we see the townsfolk celebrating the holiday joyfully by either decorating their houses to look scarier, dressing up in costumes and going trick-or-treating, or going to fun Halloween parties with their friends or family. No matter how they celebrate the fun holiday, everyone was having a good time...well, except for one person as we see a large, muscular bald man, named Phil, driving through the streets in a blue 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 car with an annoyed look on his face as he wore a white tank top with blue jeans and brown shoes.
"Damn, this stupid holiday," Phil says in irritation as he eyed a group of costumed children giggling to themselves and narrowed his eyes in anger. "I hate Halloween. Oh, sure, Halloween may seem fun at first, but it's not fun when a group of mean teenagers gang up on you and throws eggs at you just because you wanted to dress up as Barney for one Halloween!" Phil shouted with tears of frustration in his eyes as he tightened his grip on his wheel before calming down as he took a deep breath and gained a calm look as he exhaled heavily.
"Calm down, Phil, calm down, it's all in the past now, those meanies can't hurt you now, all you have to do is to get out of town for a while until all of this Halloween bullshit is over," Phil says to himself as he continued driving through the streets and reached the city limits as he entered an empty freeway.
Phil smiled slightly as he zoomed past a turn, where a black 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS with a BDS blower on the hood car could be seen hiding in the shadows as the vehicle's lights turned on and its engines roared up to life as the car begins driving and followed after Phil. Phil hums a song under his breath as he bobs his head to the music emitting from his car radio, but then stops singing as a thick layer of fog suddenly comes in and covers the area around him, blinding him. Phil grumbled in annoyance at the sudden fog but then yelped in shock as the car from before zoomed right past him and nearly made him lose control of his vehicle as he glared at the car in front of him.
"Damn, teenagers! No respect for the road!" Phil grumbles while rolling his eyes as he glanced up at his rearview mirror and gasped in shock as he saw the same car that almost ran him over earlier, driving close behind him. "What the hell?!" Phil asked himself in confusion/slight fear as he opened his window and peeked his head out to get a proper view of the car, only to blink as he saw that it disappeared from sight. "Okay, get a grip, Phil. Halloween is just getting on your nerves. You're starting to see-AGH!" Phil says before screaming in shock as the car suddenly appears out of thin air and rammed into Phil's car as it rolled across the freeway and nearly fell off, but luckily Phil gained his bearings and grabbed onto steering fiercely as he managed to stop his car in time just as it was about to zoom out of the ledge.
"O-Okay, that was way too close," Phil says shakily while glancing over the edge of the bridge where a bunch of pointy and sharp rock spikes can be seen below. Phil gulped at the close call before growing angry as he saw the mysterious car driving up to him and glared at the driver inside. "Hey, asshole! What are you trying to do?! kill me!?" Phil asked with a growl as the driver inside remained silent, causing Phil to raise an eyebrow as he narrowed his eyes at the car, and then gasped as he realized that there was no driver inside!
"What the!? There's no one inside?! Then who's driving the car!?" Phil asked before watching in bewilderment as the steering wheel inside the car moved by itself, and the car's horn began to blare as the man couldn't help but shiver in fear at how loud and demonic it sounded.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Phil screamed in fear as he grabbed his steering wheel and slammed his foot on the gas pedal as his car zoomed off, and the animated car honked her horn again and followed after it. "This can't be happening...this can't be happening...this can't be happening!" Phil chanted fearfully as the area around them started to suddenly rain and Phil glanced at the rearview mirror as he saw the mysterious car's headlights shaped around to resemble eyes as it glared at him furiously and honked its demonic horn as the mysterious car increased its speed and slowly gain on him as thunder rang in the background.
"No, no, no, no, no, no!" Phil shouted with a terrified look on his face as he stepped on the gas pedal again, and his car boosts up his speed, but the mysterious vehicle caught up to him easily as he panicked. "I can't shake it!" Phil screamed as the mysterious car slowly drives up to him and its bumper suddenly opened up like a mouth, revealing its sharp tooth as Phil screamed like a little girl and closed his eyes as he waited to be eaten...but nothing happened.
"Huh?" Phil asked dumbly as he opened his eyes and looked around as he noticed that not only it stopped raining, but the fog cleared up, and the demonic car was nowhere in sight. "W-What the? What's going on? Wasn't there a monster car following me a few seconds?" Phil asked himself in confusion before flinching as he looks around, half-expecting the ghost car to appear out of nowhere and eat him, but nothing happened as Phil scratches his head in confusion. "Huh, I must've imagined the whole thing. Tch, damn Halloween, got my nerves all riled up." Phil says while shaking his head in annoyance as he leans back on his seat in a relaxed pose and sighed in relief as he began to think that maybe to calm his nerves, he should watch a nice, safe, family-friendly movi-
SMASH!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Phil screamed in pain as the ghost car appears out of nowhere and rammed into him as Phil's car was flattened in two, and his windshield blew up as they send multiple shards all over his face, causing him to scream in pain as the small glass hits his eyes and face. Blinding him and cutting him up at the same time as he failed around and lost control of his car as it droves off the ledge of the bridge and fell down as it crashed landed on the ground and blew up as Phil's agonizing scream could be heard throughout the night sky. The ghost car slowly drove up to the ledge as its engine started up with a demonic cackle, and the mysterious vehicle drove back and forth tauntingly before driving off as it left behind a trail of flaming fire tracks behind it.

We...are...the Crystal Gems!
We'll always save the day!
Standing in a large red colorful background with millions of glowing stars, we see a stoic Garnet lifting up her glasses to wink at the readers with her Dual Germstones glowing brightly as we see a pair of smirking Pearl and Amethyst standing back to back with their Gemstones glowing brightly as a roaring Saurus dropped down from the sky and landed in front of the Crystal Gems in his Full Dinosaur Form with Steven riding on his back and his Gemstone glowed brightly as they all struct a heroic pose.
And if you think we can't,
We'll always find a way!
After warping themselves into the other side of the planet, the Crystal Gems can be seen glaring at a hoard of Corrupted Gems, Evil Dinosaurs, and Jasper and Peridot as Garnet swiftly summoned her Gauntlets while Pearl summoned her spear as Amethyst pulled out her whip, Steven summoned his Shield, and Saurus transformed into his True Dinosaur Form as the Crystal Gems then mounted onto Saurus's back and charged forward as they all let out a loud battle cry.
That's why the people of this world
Always believe in...
Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl...and Saurus and Steven!
After defeating their powerful foes and saving the Planet Earth, the Crystal Gems decided to head back to Beach City as, after warping themselves near their Hometown, a roaring Saurus ran down the streets of Beach City, alarming Lars and Sadie, surprising the Pizza Family, impressing the Cool Kids, and caused a visiting Connie to gasp in awe as the Gang were able to arrive at their home and everyone got off Saurus's back as he transformed back into his Human Form just as Greg drove up to them as he got out of the vehicle and placed a grill in front of them to grill up some victory Hot Dogs as a smiling Saurus rubbed a giggling Steven's head proudly.
{Jurassic Universe Season 1 Theme Song Over!}
Meanwhile, in Beach City, we cue to Steven's house, where we see Saurus lying on the couch lazily as he was listening to a pair of headphones and was listening to some rock music as he was also using his dinosaur tail to hold a bowl of popcorn over his head. Tilting the bowl a bit, a few pieces of popcorn fell down into Saurus's mouth as he gulped it down and continued jamming to his music, not noticing a small figure creeping up to him as he stealthily made his way over to the seemingly distracted Saurus and leaped up onto the couch as he glanced down at Saurus creepily. Noticing a large, pudgy shadow falling over him, Saurus took off his headphones as he slowly looked up and saw Steven grinning at him while wearing a classic vampire outfit as he screeched at him playfully.
"Bleh, bleh, bleh! Fear me for I am, Stevencula!" Steven yelled with blood, i.e., ketchup, smeared all over his mouth as he glanced down at Saurus expectantly, but then frowned as he saw Saurus staring at him boredly. "Aw, why aren't you scared?" Steven asked with a pout, disappointed that his scare didn't work as Saurus shrugs.
"Nice try, Steven, but Vampires don't scare me. To me, they're just a bunch of pale wimps that can be killed by getting a tan, nothing scary about that." Saurus says while closing his eyes as he crossed his arms, and suddenly a large purple werewolf-like beast appeared behind him.
"Rwar!" The werewolf roared as she glances down at Saurus expectantly, but then her eyes widen in shock as she saw that Saurus didn't even flinch from her jumpscare, and the young hybrid gave her a blank look.
"That's cute, Amethyst, but while some people think that werewolves are wild snarling beasts, I just see them as giant furballs that needs some obedience lessons," Saurus says dryly as Amethyst, who turned out to be the purple werewolf, groans and shape-shifted back to normal.
"Aw, man! I could've sworn that I would've at least spook you." Amethyst says with a pout as Saurus grinned smugly.
"Well, you didn't. Also, you call that a roar?" Saurus asked playfully as he swiftly transformed into his Full Dinosaur Form and smirked down at the surprised Amethyst as he let out a loud dinosaur-like roar that shook the house and caused Steven to cover his ears as Saurus's roar sents a screaming Amethyst flew away and crashed against a wall with a groan. "Now, that's a roar," Saurus says with a savage smirk before changing back to normal just as Pearl and Garnet warped into the room as they saw a groaning Amethyst lying on the ground, and Pearl glared at her as she crossed her arms.
"Amethyst, there you are! We have been looking for you everywhere! What the heck are you doing here?" Pearl asked as Amethyst groggily stood up and turned to her confusedly.
"What?!" Amethyst yelled as she had temporarily lost her hearing due to Saurus's loud roar.
"Nevermind, just get here. We're wasting enough time as it is." Pearl says as Amethyst tilted her head at him confusedly but then noticed Garnet motioning her to get on the Warp Pad as she nodded, and ran over to it as Pearl turned to the boys and gave Steven a guilty look. "Also, Steven, I hate to say this, but we won't be able to take you trick-or-treating today."
"What!? But you guys promised!" Steven whined with a pout as Pearl winced and looked down with a regretful look.
"I know, but a new threat popped up in New Orleans, and Garnet says that the mission requires all three of us to stop it."
"But if you guys can't take me trick-or-treating, then who will?"
"What about you're, Dad? Can't he take you trick-treating?" Saurus suggested while leaping out of the couch as he made his way over to the gang, and Steven turned to him as he shakes his head.
"No, he can't. Dad's out of town on business. That's why I asked the Gems to take me out trick-or-treating tonight, but now it seems that my plans are canceled," Steven says with a sad frown as Pearl and Amethyst gave him sympathetic looks while Garnet simply walks up to him as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, Steven, you will be able to get your candy because Saurus is going to take you."
"What!?" Saurus asked in shock with Steven looking ecstatic by the news as Pearl and Amethyst nodded in satisfaction. "Uh, sorry, guys, but I don't do trick-or-treating, so you have to find someone-"
"So, you will do it? Glad to hear it, have fun, boys!" Pearl says as Garnet calmly walked back to the warp pad, and it started glowing as Garnet waves at them.
"Have a happy Halloween, boys," Garnet says bluntly with Amethyst laughing at Saurus's annoyed look as they all disappeared in a flash of light.
"...else to take Steven out trick-or-treating." Saurus finished dryly as Steven beamed at him.
"This is great, Saurus! Now we can go trick-or-treating together!" Steven exclaimed excitedly as Saurus turned to him with a blank look.
"Yeah, sorry, but no," Saurus says while turning around as he went back to lie down on the couch, and Steven watched him go in confusion.
"Aw, but why?" Steven asked while walking over to him as Saurus placed his hands behind his head and closed his eyes as he shrugs.
"Sorry, Steven, but I refuse to participate in any Halloween activity," Saurus says as Steven cocked his head confusedly.
"Why?" Steven asked curiously as Saurus sighed and opened his eyes as he looks away solemnly.
"Well, let's just say that my first Halloween wasn't exactly...pleasant," Saurus says bitterly as Steven gave him a worried look.
"I wonder what he means by that? Hmmm, I guess from what he said, Saurus didn't exactly have a good Halloween, poor guy. I wish there was a way to cheer him up and celebrate Halloween with me." Steven thought to himself with a concerned look before getting an idea as he gasped and gained a determined look as he walked up to him and placed a hand on Saurus's shoulder.
"Well, Saurus, I may not know what happened on your last Halloween, but this year, I promise that this Halloween will be different because this time you will be spending Halloween with me and Connie and have a lot of fun, I promise," Steven says firmly, determined for Saurus to have a great Halloween, but the young dinosaur hybrid didn't look convinced.
"Yeah, I don't know about that, Steven. Halloween just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth...wait, did you say, Connie?" Saurus asked just as the doorbell rang out as Steven beamed and eagerly went to answer the door. "Since when did we have a doorbell?" Saurus asked himself in confusion as Steven opened the doors and saw Connie standing on his balcony with a big smile on her face as she was wearing a Pocohantas costume.
"Hey, Steven. Ready to go?" Connie asked eagerly before blinking in confusion as she looked around and noticed that Crystal Gems were nowhere to be seen. "Hey, where are the Gems? I thought they will take us trick-or-treating today." Connie says as Steven gave her a sheepish look and rubs his neck.
"Uh, slight change of plans, Connie. The Gems had to go to a last-minute mission, so they won't take us trick-or-treating today." Steven says as Connie stared at him in shock/disappointment.
"What!? But it took me forever to convince my parents to trick-or-treat with you! And they wouldn't allow me to trick-or-treat with anyone unless if we have someone supervising us." Connie says with a pout as Steven grinned and pointed at Saurus.
"You don't have to worry about that, Connie, because the Gems put Saurus in charge of supervising us while we go out and get candy. But I need your help in convincing Saurus to join us since he's being too stubborn to come with us." Steven said as Connie beamed and nodded as she and Steven turned to Saurus, who gave the kids a blank look as he crossed his arms and shook his head.
"Yeah, sorry, kids, but I'm not going," Saurus says while closing his eyes as the kids turned to each other, and an idea popped into their heads as they grinned and nodded as they turned back to a distracted Saurus. "I'm sorry for disappointing you kids, but I will never, ever-" Saurus says as he opens his eyes and blinked in surprise as he saw Steven and Connie glancing up at him while giving puppy dog-eyed looks as Saurus sweatdropped. "Uh, what are you guys doing?"
"Trying to convince you to take us trick-or-treating," Steven says simply as Saurus looks mildly uncomfortable by their teary-eyed staring and looks away awkwardly.
"Well, can you guys stop, whatever is what you're doing. It's creeping me out," Saurus says as he turned around to walk away, only to jump back in surprise as he saw Connie suddenly standing in front of them and hugging him by his waist as she looked up at him sadly.
"Please, go out with us, Saurus. I never trick-or-treat with friends before. Do you really want me to miss my first Halloween with you guys?" Connie asked with a pout as Saurus winced and felt his heartstrings being pulled as he tried to put up a brave front and crossed his arms as he shakes his head.
"No, Connie, you can't trick me with-," Saurus says before getting interrupted by Steven as the young boy hugged him by his back and glanced up at him with a hopeful look on his face.
"Please, take us, trick-or-treating, Saurus. Please, please, please, please."
"Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please." Steven and Connie chanted childishly as Saurus's eye twitched, and green scales popped up on his face as he tried to take a deep breath to calm down, but the kids constant chattering got into his nerves as he growled and roared.
"FINE! I WILL TAKE YOU GUYS TRICK-OR-TREATING! JUST SHUT UP ALREADY!" Saurus roared out as Steven and Connie beamed and shared a high-five as they cheered.
"Yes!" Steven and Connie exclaimed with Saurus rolling his eyes in annoyance as the scales on his face disappeared, and an idea popped into his head as he grinned and placed his hands on his hips as he gained a fake worried look.
"Oh, wait, I forgot! I don't have a costume to wear tonight! Darn, I guess I can't go after all." Saurus says while shaking his head in fake disappointment as the kids frowned at this, but then an idea popped into Connie's head as she turned to Saurus excitedly.
"There's no need to worry about getting a costume, Saurus because you are the costume! You can just go in your dinosaur form!" Connie says as Steven gasped and nodded in agreement as he turned to a distraught-looking Saurus.
"Hey, yeah, that's right! Not many people know about your powers yet, so it will be the perfect costume!" Steven exclaimed happily as Saurus smiled at him broadly, but deep inside, he was groaning in frustration.
"Damn, this girl is too smart for her own good." Saurus thought to himself with a sign before reluctantly transforming into his Hybrid Dinosaur Form as Steven and Connie nodded in satisfaction, and the group walked outside as they made their way to Beach City.
"Wow, Beach City certainly likes to go all out on Halloween," Connie commented with an amused smile on her face as she, Steven, and a grumbling Saurus were walking across a suburban area of Beach City, where Steven told Saurus and Connie they can trick-or-treat at. Steven and Connie stared in awe as every house that they encountered was decorated with all kinds of Halloween decorations, and even an annoyed Saurus had to give these people some props for their dedication to Halloween.
"Yep! Halloween is one of Major Dewey's holiday, so he makes sure that the citizens of Beach City go all out with the decorations." Steven explains cheerfully just as a little boy and girl run past them while wearing a Mario and Princess Peach costume as they were giggling to each other. "And costumes as well," Steven added in with a chuckle as Saurus smiled amusedly at the kids before noticing another group of costumed kids staring at Saurus from a distance as they whispered among themselves, and Saurus deeply frowned as memories began popping into his head.
~[Flashback: A Year Ago]~
It was nighttime in San Francisco as we see hundreds of children and parents celebrating Halloween cheerfully, and we then cue to a small suburban house, where we see a 13-year-old Saurus sitting by the windowsill as he was wearing a navy blue hoodie with a light blue shirt underneath, cream shorts, and white/dark blue shoes. Saurus was staring at all of the costumed children with wide eyes as he turned around to face a pre-teen girl.
The teenager is a 4'5-feet-tall, 13-year-old Girl with aqua blue eyes, long blonde hair that reaches to her waist, a small pointy nose, freckles on her cheeks, a sharp chin, Caucasian Skin, a slender build, and was currently wearing a female version of Chucky's costume complete with a plastic knife that was stained with fake blood. Her name is Hannah Dinkley, Saurus's first official friend.
"Hannah! Look out!" Saurus yelled while leaping over to her as he tackled the surprised teen to the ground.
"S-Saurus, what are you doing?" Hannah asked with a deep blush on her face as she felt Saurus's surprisingly muscular arms wrapped around her small frame.
"There are monsters everywhere, stay down, I will protect you," Saurus says worriedly as Hannah raised an eyebrow, but then realized what he was talking about as she giggled and smiled at her friends.
"Saurus, you sillyhead, those aren't real monsters. Those are just kids disguised as monsters for Halloween." Hannah explains as Saurus lets go of her and gave his friend a confused look.
"Ha...llo...ween?" Saurus says as Hannah giggled cutely at how he pronounced the word.
"Yes, Halloween is a holiday where people dress up in costumes so that they can get free candy," Hannah explained cheerfully as Saurus tilted his head confusedly.
"So, people dress up in silly costumes to get candy?" He asked, puzzled by how the weird holiday works as Hanna nodded with a smile.
"Yeah, and people even dress up as monsters to scare people for fun."
"For fun?" Saurus asked with a raised eyebrow as she nodded, and Saurus begins to think, but then the doorbell rang as Hannah beams.
"Ooh! Those must be the trick-or-treaters! Mama won't be back until for a couple of minutes from work, so I guess we will be handing out candy until she comes back. I'm going to grab the bowl of candy, try to stall the kids until I get back." Hanna says while running off to the kitchen as Saurus turned to the door and then glanced down at his arm as he saw green scales begin appearing as an idea popped into his head.
"Trick-or-treat! Smell my feet! Get me something good to-" A group of young children dressed up as Teletubbies says before shutting up as the doors were flung open and the kid's eyes widen as they saw Saurus, in his Full Dinosaur Form, popping out of the door and grinned at them playfully, showing off his sharp teeth as the kids trembled in fear.
"Happy Halloween, kiddies!" Saurus shouted as his deep voice scared the crap out of the kids, and they ran away screaming for their parents as Hannah came back and saw her friend standing by the doorway in his dinosaur mode as she realized what he did and sighed heavily.
"Oh, Saurus," Hannah says with a disappointed look on her face as Saurus turned to her and whimpered guiltily.
~[End of Flashback]~
"I'm not so sure about this, Steven. This is stirring up bad memories." Saurus says with a frown as Steven noticed the kids staring at Saurus's dinosaur form and gave his friend a reassuring look.
"Don't worry, just ignore them," Steven says as Saurus nodded solemnly, and the trio was about to head off, but then stopped as the group of kids ran over to them, specifically to Saurus as the young hybrid sighed and closed his eyes as he waited for the invertible screaming and panicking.
"Whoa! Awesome costume, mister!" A girl wearing a witch costume says while staring at Saurus's Hybrid Dinosaur Form in awe as Saurus's eyes widen in shock and look down at the group of children as they all crowded around him.
"Yeah, it looks so real." A boy wearing a blue Power Rangers suit says while touching Saurus's scale as he then yelped and pulled his finger back as the young boy was surprised by how sharp Saurus's scales were.
"Who made it for you?" A girl dressed as Sonic the Hedgehog says as Saurus blinks and looks away awkwardly.
"Oh, uh, I made it myself, I guess," Saurus says hesitantly as the kids 'oohed' and 'awed' at Saurus, and Steven and Connie watched in the background with amused grins on their faces as the kids eventually walked away, and Saurus walked over to them as Steven gave him a smile.
"So, it seems that the kids liked your 'costume', huh?" Steven asked while using air quotes as Saurus nodded slowly.
"Yeah, I guess they did," Saurus says with a low voice, surprised that the kids didn't freak out at his appearance like what happened last year.
"See? I told you that this Halloween will be different. Now, let's go get some candy!" Steven shouted while raising his Halloween bag determinedly as Connie playfully cheered alongside him, and Saurus smiled in amusement at his actions as they then headed towards the nearest house, and Connie eagerly rang the doorbell as they waited patiently to collect their candy. An hour later, we see Saurus, Steven, and Connie sitting on the sidewalk while eating from their bags filled with candy as they managed to collect quite a lot of candy, thanks to Saurus as many people were amazed by his lifelike 'costume'.
"Well, I can safely say that this has been one of the best Halloween ever!" Steven says with a big smile on his face as Connie nodded while eating a couple of candy corn.
"Definitely, especially since I can actually eat the good kind of candy for once. My parents usually have me eat the healthy types of candy because they think candy will make me hyper." Connie explains as Saurus, who was in his human form, bites into a chocolate bar and hums in satisfaction.
"Got to admit, I'm happy that you managed to convinced me to trick-or-treat with you guys. I was scared that something will go wrong, but so far, this Halloween has been quite...fun." Saurus says with a small smile on his face as Steven gave him a smug look.
"See? I told you it will be fun." Steven says while nudging him as Saurus rolled his eyes playfully.
"Alright, alright, so I was wrong, you don't have to rub it in," Saurus says while shoving him away playfully as the boys laughed, and Connie stared at them with an amused smile before standing up as she dusts off her hands.
"So, now that we got our candy, what do we do know? I still have about 3 hours left before my parents pick me up." Connie says as the boys stood up and begin to think of what to do to pass the time as Saurus gets an idea and grinned at the kids.
"Hey, guys, I have a tape that a friend of mine lent to me that has a really awesome and scary monster movie about a lake monster on it. Want to watch it with me?" Saurus asked as the kids beamed excitedly and nodded.
"Heck yeah!" Steven and Connie shouted in unison as Saurus grinned, and they were about to run off, but then they stopped as multiple police cars and ambulances zoomed past them and made their way to the freeway as Saurus watched them go suspiciously while the kids had worried looks on their faces.
"Huh? What's going on?" Steven asked as Saurus saw a plume of black smoke coming from the freeway, and he narrowed his eyes as he turned to the kids and transformed into his Full Dinosaur Form.
"Trouble. You kids head back to the house and stay there while I go investigate," Saurus says as he was about to jump off but was stopped by Steven.
"But we want to go too! Right, Connie?" Steven asked while turning to a nervous-looking Connie, who was about to decline the offer but her curiosity about the situation outweighs her fear as she nodded hesitantly.
"Ugh, fine, but if something big is going on, let me handle it while you guys go to safety," Saurus says firmly as the kids nodded, and the young hybrid allow Steven and Connie to mount him as he made sure that they held on to him tightly before grunting as he crouched down and leaps into the air as he made his way to the crime scene while ignoring Steven and Connie screaming in the background.
After jumping for a couple of miles, the gang had finally managed to catch up to the police, who were checking out a crime scene on the freeway from before as Saurus crashed-landed on the ground, scaring the crap of a couple of police officers as they stepped back in shock at the giant dinosaur. Saurus ignored their wary looks as he bends down and allows the kids to get off him as he then transformed back to normal.
"Okay, now that we're here, let me do the talking. I know to handle the police-" Saurus says before shutting up as he noticed the kids trembling with wide eyes and pushed-back hair as he raised an eyebrow at them. "Uh, guys, what's wrong?"
"That was way too scary. I thought I was going to die." Connie says shakily with Steven nodding in agreement as he looks like he was about to puke.
"Oh, he, he, sorry," Saurus says sheepishly before growing serious as he and the kids saw a tow truck hauling Phil's car from below the bridge and saw a couple of emergency responders taking a bodybag to an ambulance.
"W-What happened here?" Steven asked with a frightened look on his face as Connie looks around nervously.
"T-This looks like a crime scene, guys. I don't think we should be here," Connie says while backing away cautiously as Saurus turned to the kids with a grim look on his face.
"Stay here and don't look kids, I will go and see what's going on-" Saurus says, but then trails off as Steven suddenly runs off towards the crime scene. "Wait, Steven! Grr, damn kid! Connie, stay here." Saurus says sternly as Connie nodded weakly, and the hybrid teenager runs off to follow after Steven, who had wanted to see what was going as he ran up to the emergency responders just as they accidentally dropped the body bag as it crashed against the ground and a bloody hand fell out of the bag.
"Aah!" Steven screamed in shock while stepping back in horror as Saurus suddenly appears behind him and covered his eyes.
"Don't look, Steven!" Saurus shouted as he felt Steven quiver in fear in his hands, and Saurus mentally cursed himself as he knew that it was a bad idea to bring the kids.
"B-But, Saurus, that guy is...is..." Steven says tearfully, but couldn't finish his sentence as Saurus grabbed Steven and gave him a comforting hug.
"I know, Steven, I know what happened to him is horrible, but at least he's in a better place now," Saurus says solemnly as Steven still looks shaken by what he saw, but felt slightly comforted by Saurus's words as he slowly calmed down.
"What's going on here!? And who are these kids?! Who brought them here!?" A middle-aged police officer asked while walking up to the boys and the emergency responders, who quickly grabbed the body bag and they dragged it over to an ambulance. The police officer is 44 years old with black eyes, brown skin, short black hair, and he wears a standard police uniform with a badge that says 'Beach City Police' and a brown holster that holds his gun. His name is David Willis, the Chief of the Beach City Police Department.
"My name is Saurus, and these are my friends, Steven and Connie," Saurus says while pointing at Steven and Connie, who had walked over to them as David glared at them.
"Well, you kids shouldn't be out here! This is no place for little kids!" David shouted as Steven and Connie nodded meekly, not wanting to anger the policeman as Saurus rolled his eyes at him and crossed his arms. "How did you kids get here anyway?"
"I jumped here, and they rode on my back," Saurus answered honestly with the kids nodding in agreement as David stared at him with a raised eyebrow. "Anyway, since we're already over here, you mind telling us what happened? We won't leave unless you tell us." Saurus says matter-factly as David glared at him sternly.
"All you need to know is that there was a car crash, and that's it. Now, you kids should get out of here and-"
"I'm telling you, it was the Ghost Car! She has returned!"
"Huh?" The gang asked confusedly as they turned around and saw a homeless man talking to a female police officer.
The homeless man is a 33-year-old man with dirty long brown hair, blue eyes, Caucasian skin, yellow teeth, and his outfit consisted of a ripped filthy green jacket with a white tank top underneath, worn-out ripped blue jeans, and brown sandals. His name is Rick Campus.
The police officer is a 25-year-old woman with short brown hair in the shape of a bob cut as she has green eyes, a beauty mark on her left cheek, Caucasian skin, and wears a standard police uniform with a badge that says 'Beach City Police' and a brown holster that holds her gun and baton. Her name is Diane Mertins.
"Sir, please, we do this every year, there's no such thing as a 'Ghost Car'," Diane says in exasperation as Rick glared at her.
"I'm telling you I saw it with my very eyes!"
"What's this about a Ghost Car?" Saurus asked while walking up to them with the others as Diane turned to him with a glare.
"Young man, this is a police investigation, do you mind-"
"It was the Ghost Car, young man! The Ghost Car!" Rick shouted while grabbing Saurus with a crazy look on his face as Saurus winced in disgust and pushed him off.
"Okay, first of all, personal space, much? Second, can you please explain to us what this Ghost Car is?" Saurus asked as David scoffed.
"Ghost Car is just a legend that the people of Beach City came up with 10 years ago," David says with an annoyed look as Diane looks equally as annoyed.
"Yeah, they saw that every Halloween night, a mysterious ghost car appears from out of nowhere and kills unsuspecting drivers from this very bridged. Some say that the car is possed by a spirit, who had suffered a horrific car crash ten years ago and wants to take her anger on others."
"A ghost!?" Steven asked in shock/fear as Rick nodded while Saurus and Connie gave the police officers a skeptical look.
"Ghosts? Really? Ghosts aren't real." Connie says mater factly as Saurus nodded in agreement.
"Oh, don't worry, kids, we're with you on that one. We don't believe any of this ridiculous ghost nonsense as well." David says as Saurus turned to Phil's crashed car, which was being dragged by a tow truck as Saurus narrowed his eyes at it.
"But somebody is killing all of these people, and since this guy seems to like to strike on Halloween night, this is the perfect time to nab this guy," Saurus says while punching his fists together as Diane rolls her eyes.
"Easier said than done, kid. We tried to catch this guy for years, but we hadn't had much luck." Diane says as Saurus smirks.
"That's because you didn't have me to help you," Saurus says arrogantly, causing the police officers to glare at him as he ignored their annoyed looks and placed his hands on his chin as he begins to think.
"Let me see, for the last 10 years, this guy keeps coming here to kill people with his car on Halloween night. And no matter how much the police try, they can't catch this guy." Saurus says thoughtfully as an idea popped into his head, and he grinned as he turned to the kids and the police. "Okay, here's what I'm thinking, if we can't find this guy nor can we keep up with him, then the next best thing to do is to trick him," Saurus says as Connie tilted her head at him confusedly.
"How?" Connie asked as Saurus smirked.
"Oh, I know how, Connie, trust me, but the first thing is we need a set of wheels. Hmmm, we can't use a police car, or else it would scare him off, and we can't use Greg's van since he's out of town...aha! I got it! I know someone else with a car. Come on, kids, we're going back to Beach City." Saurus says while swiftly morphing into his Full Dinosaur Form, surprising the police officers as Saurus grabbed the kids and crouched down as he prepared to jump.
"Oh, can we not do this again?" Steven asked with a concerned look on his face as Connie nodded.
"Yeah, I don't think this is a safe way for us to trav-"
"And we're off!" Saurus shouted as he leaped high into the air, causing the kids to scream as Saurus began jumping back to Beach City, using his enhanced strength and agility to leap a couple of miles in a single bounce as a shocked David and Diane slowly turned to each other.
"D-Did you just see that kid transformed into a dinosaur?" Diane asked shakily as David nodded meekly
"Yeah, I did. Geez, and I thought this city wasn't weird enough with those rock aliens, but now we have a kid that can transform into a dinosaur of all things! Ugh, I need a break." David says with a groan with Diane nodding in agreement as they walked away from the crime scene.
"Thanks for giving us a ride, Jenny," Saurus says gratefully as he and the others were riding in Jenny's pizza car as Saurus was sitting in the front while Steven and Connie were sitting in the back.
"No, probs, Saurus. I'm glad to help." Jenny says with a smile while driving the vehicle as she was wearing a skimpy skintight version of Alice's costume from Alice and Wonderland movie, but since that Steven and Connie were around, Jenny made sure to cover herself modestly with a long brown jacket.
"This is a nice car, Jenny," Steven says while checking out Jenny's car as Connie nodded.
"Yeah, is it yours?" Connie asked as Jenny shakes her head.
"Nah, this is just the delivery car from my Dad's lame shop. I can't afford to buy a car yet, so I'm forced to use this piece of junk whenever I need to use a ride." Jenny explains as Saurus turned to her and blushed slightly at her costume as he coughs and looks away awkwardly.
"T-That's a nice costume, Jen. Had any plans tonight?" Saurus asked with a blush on his face as Jenny noticed Saurus checking her out and giggled as she smiled at him.
"Yeah, I was planning to go to my friend Sour Cream's Halloween costume party, but I couldn't go because his party got busted by his parents," Jenny says with a disappointed look on her face as Saurus nodded and suddenly Connie popped in between them.
"Okay, now that we have a car, you mind explaining to us your plan, Saurus?" Connie asked as Steven squeezed in under her and gave Saurus a curious look.
"Yeah, what are you planning, Saurus?"
"I'm curious myself admittedly, why did you need my car again? All you said in the text was that you needed to borrow my car to find someone." Jenny says as Saurus turned to his friends and smirked as he crossed his arms.
"Well, to make a long story short, Jenny, me, and the kids stumbled upon a crime scene where a 'Ghost Car' has been spotted crashing against someone and sending them flying off the bridge," Saurus explains as Jenny flinched and tightened her grip on the steering wheel angrily at the mention of the 'Ghost Car', but the boys didn't notice this at first as Steven turned to Saurus with a confused look on his face.
"You know what's weird? I lived in Beach City all of my life, and yet, this is the first time I've ever heard of this 'Ghost Car'. Do you know anything about it, Connie?" Steven asked his friend, knowing that she was quite smart, but all Connie did was giving him a shrug as even she never heard of this supposed haunted car. "What about you, Jenny?"
"Oh, I know all about the 'Ghost Car'," Jenny says with an angry growl as Saurus turned to her and placed a hand on her shoulder as he gave his friend a concerned look.
"What's wrong, Jen? You look tense." Saurus says worriedly as Jenny took a deep breath and sighed heavily as she turned to her friends solemnly.
"Sorry about that, guys, it's just that two years ago from now, a friend of mine was driving out of town with his mom on vacation, but...they never made it back. My friends and I had set up a police report about them, and the police searched everywhere for them, and, after a few weeks of searching, the police managed to find them dead under the bridge of a nearby freeway. At first, we thought that they accidentally drove off the bridge but later on, a witness reported seeing 'The Ghost Car' sending my friend's car out of the bridge." Jenny says before sighing as she stared out of the window with a sad look on her face.
"Halloween has never been the same for me and my friends ever since that night. Honestly, I was thinking of just skipping this whole holiday altogether, but Sour Cream had suggested throwing a little party to get our minds out of it, but I don't think even a rave party will make me forget about Wiliam," Jenny says with tears running down her face as Saurus leans over to her and gave her a side hug as he wipes away her tears.
"I'm sorry for what happened to you, Jenny. I know what it feels like to lose someone close to me, but I think I have some news that might cheer you up." Saurus says, surprising Jenny as she raised an eyebrow at him.
"How?" Jenny asked as Saurus smirked.
"Because we're going to hunt down the 'Ghost Car' and take it down for good. Are you up to it?" Saurus asked as Jenny gasped, and flashes of her dearest friend appeared on her mind as she narrowed her eyes and nodded determinedly.
"What's the plan?" Jenny asked as Saurus grinned, and the kids peered in curiously as they wondered what his plan was.
"Okay, so you know how the 'Ghost Car' always hunts down its victims on Halloween Night on a nearby highway, right? And since it keeps avoiding the police and whatnot, I was thinking to finally catch this son of a bitch by luring him in with a bait." Saurus says as the group stared at him confusedly.
"Who?" Steven asked as Saurus turned to him with a mischievous grin on his face.
"Us," Saurus says, surprising the teens as Saurus chuckled evilly and rubs his hands together sinisterly. A couple of hours later, after the group had agreed to Saurus's crazy plan, we see the gang driving back and forth across the highway where the Ghost Car was mostly frequently spotted as they were trying to lure the Ghost Car out of his hiding place, but so far, they weren't having much success, much to their annoyance as Connie checked her phone and frowned as she realized how late it was.
"Guys, I think we need to call it quits. My parents will come to pick me up in an hour," Connie says as a tired Steven yawned and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, it's getting pretty late, guys, and we haven't seen this Ghost car at all for the last two hours. I think it's time that we go home."
"I'm going to have to agree with the kids here, Saurus," Jenny says as Saurus looks around for the Ghost Car, but didn't see anything as the highway was completely empty, and he groaned in frustration.
"I don't get it, I was so sure that he would've taken the bait," Saurus says with a pout, disappointed that his plan didn't work as Jenny placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"It's okay, Saurus. As much as I wanted to get the chance to clobber that stupid car, it seems it's not coming out today. We should head back to Beach City." Jenny says as Saurus sighs and leans against his chair as he grumbled but nodded reluctantly as Jenny turned the car around and made her way back to the city as Saurus looks out of the window with an annoyed glare.
"I'm sorry that we couldn't find the Ghost Car, Saurus," Steven says while giving Saurus a sympathetic look as Connie did the same.
"Ah, it's okay, kid. I just wished we would've nabbed this guy tonight. Now, we have to wait a year before confronting it." Saurus grumbles as he continued staring out the window, but then he perked up as his enhanced hearing picked up the sounds of roaring engines, and fog suddenly came in as it covered the area in thick white smoke.
"What the hell? Where did this fog come from?" Jenny asked while squinting her eyes as she tried to look through the fog.
"Don't know, the weatherman didn't say anything about fog today," Connie says as Saurus looks around with a cautious look on his face.
"Guys, I don't think this is a normal fog," Saurus says warily as the gang turned to him confusedly.
"What do you mean by that?" Steven asked as Saurus turned to him and was about to answer, only for his eyes to widen in alarm as he saw a pair of headlights heading towards them at high speeds.
"Look out!" Saurus shouted as he summoned his dino tail and used it to grab the steering wheel as he turned the wheel harshly, causing the group to scream in fright as Jenny's car swerved out of the way just as the Ghost Car zoomed past them as the gang gasped in shock.
"What was that!?" Connie asked while placing her hand on her chest to calm down her beating heart from the unexpected near-death experience as a frightened Steven narrowed his eyes at the disappearing form of the Ghost Car.
"Is that the Ghost Car?" Steven asked as the Ghost Car suddenly disappears into the fog.
"Does that answers your question, Steven?" Saurus asked as they all looked around for the Ghost Car, only to yelp in surprise as the haunted car appeared out of nowhere and rammed into Jenny's car.
"AAAAAHHHHH!" Everyone screamed as the car swerved around widely, and Jenny gritted her teeth in effort as she grabbed the steering wheel and pressed her feet on the pedal as she managed to stop her vehicle just as it almost drove out of the bridge as everyone sighed in relief, but then screamed as they saw the Ghost Car driving towards them at max speed.
"Drive, drive, drive, drive, drive!" Steven and Connie chanted fearfully as Jenny slammed her foot on the gas pedal and put her car in reverse as they drove away from the Ghost Car, but couldn't outrun it as the mysterious car managed to catch up to them and rammed against a few times, causing the teens to yelp at each unexpected bump as Saurus frightened look soon disappeared and was replaced by an angry scowl as green scales appeared on his face.
"Okay, I had enough of this!" Saurus shouted as he unbuckled himself from his seat and got out of Jenny's car through the window as he slowly transformed into his Full Dinosaur Form and used his claws to stick to Jenny's car.
"Hey, hey, hey! Easy with the claws! This is my Dad's car, remember!" Jenny shouted while eyeing the gashes on the roof of her car that Saurus accidentally created with his claws as Jenny groans, knowing that her Dad will give her a stern lecture when she returns home.
"Sorry, Jen," Saurus says with a sheepish look before glaring at the Ghost Car ahead of him as he snarled. "Alright, Christine! I don't know who you are, but your days of killing innocent people on Halloween are over!" Saurus says before letting out a loud dinosaur-like roar as he leaped out of the roof of Jenny's car and made his way towards the Ghost Car as he reared back his giant fists and was about to use his brute strength to flatten the front of the car like a tin can, but then Saurus gasped as he saw that there was no driver inside of the vehicle!
"What the!?" Saurus asked himself in shock while still falling towards the Ghost Car as the mysterious vehicle suddenly turned intangible, causing a shocked Saurus to phase through the car as he crashed against the floor and accidentally punched through the bridge as he fell down below and his angered/confused roar could be heard throughout the night sky.
"Saurus!" Jenny, Steven, and Connie shouted worriedly as Ghost Car turned tangible and charged at Jenny's car as it rammed into them again, causing them to yelp as Jenny regained her bearings, and grew angry as she slammed on the breaks and swerved her car around as she used it to ram against the Ghost Car and send it flying away as it crashed a metal fence with a loud thud.
"I won't let you kill any more of my friends, you demonic bastard!" Jenny yelled while glaring at the Ghost Car hatefully before turning to the kids as she gave them a serious look. "Buckle up, guys!" Jenny shouted as Steven and Connie nodded with an equally serious looks on their faces as they fastened their seatbelts and Jenny pressed her foot on the gas pedal as her car raced towards the Ghost Car at max speed as Jenny, Steven, and Connie glared at it fiercely, but then gasped in shock as the Ghost Car went intangible and they phased through the vehicle and Jenny quickly slammed on the brakes as her car came into a full stop.
"What the hell?" Jenny asked in confusion as they all turned towards the seethrough Ghost Car, who honked its horn on them menacingly as it turned tangible again, and Connie gasped in shock.
"Whoa! That thing is able to turn intangible at will! It really is a ghost car!" Connie says as Steven turned to her worriedly.
"Does that mean we can't hurt it?" Steven asked as Connie thought about it and shook her head.
"Not necessarily. Remember, Jenny was able to ram into the Ghost Car when it was distracting. Meaning that it needs to consciously turn intangible, instead of it being constantly active, which means we might be able to get a good hit on it if it's distracted."
"But how do we do that?" Jenny asked just as the Ghost Car started up his engines as it rushed towards Jenny and the others and its bumper opened up like a mouth as he was about to chomp on Jenny's car when suddenly a familiar roar rang out as Saurus broke through the bridge right under the Ghost Car as he threw a punch at it and used his amazing strength to send it flying above the shocked group as it crashed landed a few feet away from them and blew up as a small explosion rang out.
"Oh, I guess, that's how," Jenny says amusedly as Saurus panted heavily and shifted back into his form as Steven and Connie popped out of the window and smiled at him in awe.
"Awesome entrance, Saurus!" Steven shouted as Connie nodded.
"Yeah, how did you knew where the Ghost Car was to be able to accurately punch it?" Connie asked as Saurus turned to them and shrugged.
"I honestly didn't know, I was just pissed off from being dropped from a bridge that I wanted to smash something," Saurus replied with a goofy smile on his friends as Steven and Connie stared at him, deadpanned as Jenny giggled at her friend's antics, but then gasped loudly as she saw something on the rearview mirror that made her face go pale in shock.
"Guys, it's not over yet," Jenny says as the gang was confused by what she says, but then the sounds of a familiar engine roared out as everyone turned around and gasped as they saw the Ghost Car slowly emerging from the explosion while being set on fire as it honked loudly at them threateningly.
"Damn, it can regenerate," Saurus says with an annoyed look on his face as the Ghost car ramped up his engines and made his way over to the group as Jenny and the kids yelled in fright while Saurus's eyes narrowed as he swiftly transformed into his Full Dinosaur Form and leaped over Jenny's car as he landed in front of them and caught the Ghost Car by its bumper as he stopped the haunted vehicle at its tracks.
Saurus and the Ghost Car growled at each other threateningly as the Ghost Car suddenly flared up his flames brightly, and Saurus roared in pain as he felt his hands boil from the car's intense heat and lets go of Ghost Car as the possessed car used his distraction to his advantage and whirled around as it whacked Saurus away and send him flying to a metal fence as he crashed through it and nearly fall off the bridge again, but Saurus managed to save himself by digging his claws into the pavement and dangled in the air.
Ghost Car saw this and grew angry as its engines roared, and the possessed vehicle raced towards Saurus to knock him out of the bridge, but Jenny and the kids won't have it as Jenny used her car to ram him away from Saurus and send it flying away as it landed back on the ground with a thud. Steven and Connie cheered as Jenny smirked in victory, but then their celebration was cut short as the Ghost Car roared at them in anger and suddenly started spitting fireballs at them.
"Look out!" Steven and Connie shouted as Jenny gritted her teeth and slammed on the gas pedal as she managed to move her car out of the way from the flamming projectiles, but had to drive off as the Ghost Cat chased after them, all the while shooting multiple fireballs at them as Jenny tried her very best to dodge them all.
Saurus grunted as he managed to lift himself up back on the bridge and saw the Ghost Car and Jenny's car driving away as he also saw the possessed car trying to blow up his friends. Growling angrily, Saurus roared savagely as he chases after them, at speeds not possible for someone his size as he easily caught up to them, and lowers his head as he then rammed into the Ghost Car and caused it to swerve around the road widely as Saurus roared and raised his fists as he then slammed them on the ground. A small tremor rang out across the bridge as multiple cracks appeared on the ground, and Saurus grunted as he lifted two giant boulders over his shoulders and then threw one of them at the Ghost Car, who turned intangible to dodge the boulder.
But that was what Saurus was expecting it to do, so once the young hybrid saw that the haunted car had let its guard down and turned tangible, Saurus throws the other rock at the animated car, and the giant boulder slammed against the Ghost Car with a tremendous amount of force, sending it flying past Jenny and the others as it crashed against the ground and rolled around as it flew out of the highway and reached the forest as it collided against the trees and disappeared into the woods.
Saurus and the gang stared down below at the forest warily as all was quiet at first, but then a giant fireball appeared and raced towards the teens as Jenny quickly moved her Dad's car out of the way while Saurus simply jumped over the fireball as he landed on the ground and his eyes widen as he saw a pair of headlights heading towards him and the Ghost Car as it rammed into him and drove away as Jenny and the others yelled Saurus's name worriedly and chased after them.
Saurus gritted his teeth in pain as he felt a searing heat radiate in his body, but luckily his scales protected him from being completely burnt as Saurus glared furiously through the car's window...only to then gasped in shock as he saw a small white octopus-like creature clinging onto the steering wheel and seems to be controlling the Ghost Car by inserting its numerous tentacles into the car. The creature has a giant dark purple eye with light purple spots spreading across its body as it has 8 tentacles and it has a small white/blue gem on its back.
"What the hell!?" Saurus asked in shock as the small creature grew tired of Saurus clinging onto it and stopped abruptly as it sends Saurus flying away, but luckily Jenny and the kids came in as they drove after the falling Saurus, who had transformed to normal as he crashed against the roof of Jenny's car and clung onto it as they raced towards the Ghost Car.
"Saurus, are you okay?" Steven asked worriedly while popping his head out of the window as Saurus looks down and saw scorch marks all around his body, but otherwise, he was feeling fine as the young teen nodded.
"I'll live, but Steven you won't believe this, but the Ghost Car really isn't possessed by a ghost, it's being controlled by one of those creatures that the Crystal Gems fight," Saurus says as Steven gasped in shock.
"Seriously!?" Steven asked as Saurus nodded, and Connie pops her head out as she eyed the boys warily.
"Is it like that worm monster that Steven and I fought a few days ago?" Connie asked as the boys nodded, and Jenny glanced at them confusedly.
"Uh, guys? What are we talking about again?" Jenny asked while dodging the fireball that was thrown by the Ghost Car as Jenny turned her car around and drove away from the possessed vehicle as the possessed vehicle chased after her relentlessly.
"Basically, we're dealing with a magical threat instead of a supernatural one, but that doesn't make it any less dangerous, though," Saurus explains to Jenny, who nodded as she dodged another fireball.
"So, how do we beat it?" Jenny asked, relieved to find out that the Ghost Car isn't possessed by a demon, but instead, it's just one of those weird magical creatures that Steven and his family fight with on occasion.
"Well, first we need to figure out a way to put out the fire, so I can grab the small creature and yank it out of the Ghost Car. Anyone got any ideas on how to extinguish the flames?" Saurus asked as Connie begins to think and looks around the car as she spotted a couple of stacks of sodas and gets an idea as she grins.
"How about we use these to put out the fire?" Connie asked while grabbing the stacks of sodas as she presented them to the group.
"Hmmm, maybe, it could work, but there's not enough soda to put out the flames," Saurus says.
"How about we mix them with this?" Jenny suggested while grabbing a couple of stacks of beer from under her seat as Saurus, Steven, and Connie stared at her in disbelief.
"You were carrying that this whole time?" Saurus asked as Jenny nodded.
"Yeah, I was thinking of bringing them to the party, but you know how that turned out," Jenny says as Connie grinned and snatched the stack of beers out of Jenny's hands.
"This will work. Steven, hand me your cape." Connie says as Steven nodded and took off his cape as Connie grabbed it and joined the ends together into a knot as she then dumped all of the soda onto it as well as the beer. "Here you go," Connie says while handing Steven the cape full of soda/beer as he grabbed it, and Saurus grinned as he turned to Jenny.
"Jenny! Head towards the Ghost Car!" Saurus shouted while pointing at the possed vehicle as Jenny nodded and turned her car around as she narrowed her eyes at the Ghost Car and sped towards it as Saurus looks down at Steven. "Steven! Throw your cape on it!"
"On it! Steven Bomb!" Steven yelled while twirling his cape around as he then grunted in effort and threw the cape towards the Ghost Car as it was splashed on by a gallon filled with soda and beer, extinguishing its flames as Saurus used the opportunity to transform into his Full Dinosaur Form and leaped into the air as he reared back his hands and fell towards the soaked Ghost Car as he roared.
"JURRASIC...SMASH!" Saurus shouted savagely as he slammed his giant hands onto the roof of the car and easily broke it into two as one half disappeared into the night while the other half that contained the octopus creature rolled across the ground and a growling Saurus leaped towards it as he landed on top of it and let out a loud yell as he begins ripping apart the one half of the Ghost Car and saw the groaning creature lying on the ground as Saurus grabbed it and tightened his grip on the small octopus creature as it squealed in pain and blew off into a puff of smoke as the only thing left behind was its gem.
"Is it dead?" Jenny asked warily while driving up to Saurus as she and the kids got out of the car and made their way to him as Saurus nodded and shifted back to normal.
"Yeah, the creature is defeated. Steven, can you do the bubble thing that the Gems do to imprison this thing?" Saurus asked as Steven shook his head.
"No, I haven't learned how to do it yet," Steven says sheepishly as Connie ran up to them while holding a large bowl.
"How about we put it in here?" Connie asked.
"Sounds perfect, Connie, thanks," Saurus says while placing the Gem on the bowl as Connie placed it on the ground, containing it as Saurus, Steven, Connie, and Jenny crowded around it as they stared at it warily.
"What do we do with it?" Jenny asked as Steven shrugs.
"Don't know, the Gems usually bubble it away, but since they're gone, I don't know what to do with it," Steven says as Saurus turned over to look at the broken pieces of the Ghost Car and narrowed his eyes in anger as he remembers how much death and chaos this little monster caused as he turned to look down at the Gem and glared at it.
"I think we should destroy it."
"What!?" Steven and Connie asked in shock as Saurus turned to them with a serious look while Jenny actually looks to be on board with the idea.
"You heard me, unlike the other monsters that we faced, this killed a lot of people over the last ten years. It deserved to be taken out...for good." Saurus says with a dark tone in his voice as Steven and Connie turned to each other with hesitant looks while Jenny stood up and glared at the Gem furiously as she tightened her fists in anger.
"I agree with Saurus here. This thing must be destroyed for what he did to my friend," Jenny says as the kids gave each other wary looks before shrugging as they motioned for the teenagers to do what they have to do, but deep down, something inside of Steven's mind is yelling at him to stop Saurus and Jenny for some weird reason.
"Alright, let's do this," Saurus says as he pulled off the bowl from the Gem and grabbed it as he grunted and tightened his grip on the Gem so hard that it cracked a bit. "There. Jenny, care to do the honors?" Saurus asked as Jenny nodded with a serious look on her face.
"Gladly," Jenny says venomously as Saurus placed the Gem on the ground and Jenny glared at it as she raised her leg and was about to stomp the Gem to pieces, but she was stopped by a familiar purple whip that wrapped around her leg as it prevented her from shattering the Gem.
"STOP IT RIGHT THERE!" Three pairs of angry voices yelled out as Saurus, and the teens turned around and saw the Crystal Gems glaring at them sternly as Amethyst had a tight grip on her whip.
"Guys!" Steven exclaimed happily as Saurus eyes them confusedly, wondering why they stopped Jenny from killing the Gem as Amethyst unsummoned her whip, and Pearl runs over to them as she shoved a surprised Saurus and Jenny away, and grabbed the nearly shattered gem as she gasped at the numerous cracks covering it.
"What have you done, Saurus!? You nearly shattered the Gem!" Pearl asked angrily as Saurus blinks confusedly.
"Yeah...and?" Saurus asked as Pearl grew angry at how casual he sounded.
"And!? Don't you realize that you almost killed a-" Pearl says before shutting up as Garnet placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a look as she sighed and kept her mouth shut as Garnet turned to Saurus and, much to his surprise, glared at him as she walks over to him.
"Saurus, you were almost going to commit a mistake that would've had unimaginable consequences in the future," Garnet says sternly as Saurus stared at her suspiciously and noticed how tense her posture is as he crossed his arms and raises an eyebrow at her.
"Why? Just because Jenny and I were going to shatter the gem?" Saurus asked as Pearl and Amethyst flinched at the word 'shatter' while Garnet narrow her eyes as Saurus noticed this and became even more suspicious of the Gems as he narrowed his eyes at them. "What's wrong with that? You guys weren't around to bubble the gem, so I thought it was a good idea to shatter the gem."
"You what!?" Pearl asked in shock while Amethyst stared at Saurus with wide eyes as Garnet frowned deeply and tightened her fists in anger. Steven, Connie, and Jenny stared at the Cyrstal Gems in bewilderment, wondering why they seemed so shocked and horrified by what Saurus was planning to do as the young hybrid was also as confused about their reactions.
"Uh, guys, what's wrong?" Saurus asked, snapping the gems out of their shock as Pearl glared at him.
"Saurus, as part of the Crystal Gems, you must never shatter the gem that the monster leaves behind!" Pearl says firmly as Saurus raised an eyebrow and tilted his head confusedly.
"Why?"
"Because if you shatter their gem, you're essentially...killing them," Pearl whispered the last part with an uncomfortable look on her face as she wanted to make sure to keep her voice low as possible so that Steven and Connie won't hear her.
"So? Who cares? They're just mindless monsters. Why shouldn't we kill them?" Saurus asked, looking genuinely confused about why they were so persistent on keeping the creature alive as an angry Amethyst runs up to him and glared at the young teen.
"Because it's wrong, dude! They're not just mindless monsters, they're-" Amethyst says before getting cut off by Garnet, who placed her hands on their shoulders and silently told them to stand down as they nodded and allowed their leader to talk with Saurus as Garnet walked up to him and crossed her arms.
"Saurus, they may be monsters, but even monsters don't deserve death. You should know that better than anyone." Garnet says ominously with her glasses glinting against the moonlight as Saurus stared at her warily, not liking how she said that as he crossed his arms and scoffed.
"Maybe these monsters do deserve to be killed, Garnet. I mean, they're not alive in the same way that we are. They don't think, they don't feel emotions, they're just mindless beasts that like to kill people. Just like that one has been doing for the last ten years." Saurus says while pointing at the almost shattered gem that Pearl was holding as the Crystal Gems flinched in surprise and turned to look down at the gem as Saurus nodded while placing his hands on his hips. "Oh, yeah, did we forget to mention to tell you guys that while you three were away, this thing killed an innocent man, and from what we heard earlier from the cops, this monster was killing all kinds of different people for the last ten years? Including Jenny's friend." Saurus says while pointing at Jenny, who nodded solemnly.
"It's true, that thing killed my friend last year," Jenny says bitterly with Steven and Connie comforting her as the Gems looked shocked by the news and looked down numbly as Saurus walked up to them and crossed his arms with a serious look on his face.
"Don't you see, guys? This thing has been going on a rampage for the last decade and killed a bunch of innocent civilians, including children. This thing deserves to be killed for its crimes, and I will be glad to do the execution myself." Saurus says with a glare as he shifted his human arms into his dinosaur arms and walked over to Pearl as he was about to grab the nearly shattered gem, but was stopped by Garnet as she suddenly grabbed him by his shirt and lifted him to her eye level as she glared at him furiously through her glasses.
"Don't you even dare try to pull that stunt again, Saurus. Just because you don't feel remorse for killing your Dinosaur brothers it doesn't mean we will allow you to shatter gems. If you even cause one crack on a gem again, you will answer to me." Garnet says angrily as Saurus glared back at her but then blinked in shock as he finally registered what she said.
"Wait, how did you know about the Ventadores?" Saurus asked with a serious look on his face as Garnet stared at him silently before throwing him on the ground as she turns around.
"Garnet-"
"We're done here, Pearl. Let's get out of here." Garnet says stoically before jumping off as Pearl and Amethyst gave Saurus solemn looks and then followed after their leader as Saurus, Jenny, Steven, and Connie watched them go suspiciously/worriedly.
"What was that about?" Jenny asked while placing her hands on her hips as she was kind of angry that the Gems stopped her from getting her revenge for her fallen friend.
"I-Is she always this intense?" Connie asked Steven frightfully, shaken by what just happened as an equal scared Steven shrugged.
"I-I don't know, I had never seen Garnet like that before," Steven says as Saurus remained silent and stared up at the retreating form of the Crystal Gems with a suspicious glare as lightning rained in the background.
And done! I hope that you guys enjoyed the first-ever Jurassic Universe Halloween Special, and I can't wait to write the next chapter. Also, to answer a Guest's question, I'm planning to do the entire series into one story, as well as the Steven Universe: Movie and Steven Universe Future.
Anyway, as always, I will catch you all later.
