Episode 5 - Not Quite Famous
Authors Notes
So this chapter is uploaded on the normal time frame, as I found a way to upload from my phone! Super convenient, but sorry for the delay when I told you all it would be a day early. As most of you know, this episode's challenge was a talent show. It was really fun to come up with some talents for some of the campers who don't get a ton of screentime. Also, I've added a list of both team's members so it's easier to keep track of.
In response to the viewers,
Shuffollower : Haha, yeah I was anxious to get the chapter out, and I needed to get a head start on this chapter. Glad you're liking the development of the characters so far! There's more to come for sure. Getting Justin in this season was perfect for this particular challenge, it just felt so right. Also thanks for the reminder, I went back and quickly added the intro in :)
Zeke the Prophet : Justin did play in canon, which made little sense to me after watching Action. I agree that him not playing a ton wasn't explained well, but not everyone got their time to shine. He at least tried, but he valued his beauty too much. Amy being super mean but way less obnoxious was intended, especially with her not having Sammy around to pester. Jo figuring out how to trigger Svetlana gives them another super athletic player, but it also gives her some strategic advantage if she ever needed it. Glad you're enjoying the fic so far!
Gucci Mane LaFlare : I felt like Jo just kinda bruised her way through TDRI, so I wanted to give her the chance to actually use some strategy. Mike not knowing that Jo knows how to trigger Svetlana will make for some interesting future plot points that's for sure. Haha you're totally right, Justin values his looks above all, and dodgeball is a perfect way to have him showcase that fear of ruining them. I think Amy and Dave having more interaction will make for some unique scenarios, and will help flesh out both characters a bit more. Plus, Amy doesn't have Sammy to push around, and that means she could be looking for someone else to blame. Also, I'm glad you're liking this fic so far!
Amit : I love that friendship too! You'll have to wait and see who makes it to the merge. Also thank you for the suggestion! I updated every chapter right away so I appreciate it.
millikin: Glad you like the chapter! Also nice to see a Dawn fan!
romeoaifesili: Yeah Justin getting basically no lines until Action was just weird, and I felt he needed to go out with a bigger bang. Tension early I think allows for more subplots, and Amy definitely is showing her mean side. Haha you're a clever one, guessing who's leaving next.
Now onto Chapter 5!

"Last time on Total Drama Island." Chris says as the shot opens up to show the host standing by the campfire pit. "Our twenty campers channeled their inner athlete to compete in a game as old as time, dodgeball." The contestants are shown on the court; throwing, dodging, and catching to stay alive. "After what seemed like another Gopher victory, the Bass woke up Jo, and were able to stage a major comeback, and win their first challenge."
The bass are shown using their new strategy, and carrying Jo off the court in victory. "The Gophers had to send someone home for the first time, and Justin's beauty wasn't enough to make up for his poor play and big mistakes." Justin is seen walking down the dock of shame with a bruised face and a missing tooth. The shot flashes to show Chris standing outside both cabins as he now looks directly into the camera. "Will the Killer Bass be able to keep a winning streak going? And will someone find out how many versions of Mike there are? Find out right now on Total...Drama...Island!"
(Fade to Intro)
Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine
You guys are on my mind
You asked me what I wanted to be
And now I think the answer is plain to see
I wanna be famous
I wanna live close to the sun
Well pack your bags cause I've already won
Everything to prove nothing in my way
I'll get there one day
Cause I wanna be famous
(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

The scene opens up with a shot of the island's treeline as the sun rises, a lone pine seen much closer in proximity. The camera pans down, and we see the Gophers cabin sitting directly under the pine tree, and voices can be heard from the girls' side.
"Ok this is so, way beyond bad!" Lindsay says as she searches through her makeup bag, looking for something in particular. "I'm out of fake tanner already!" the blonde beauty frowns as she holds up an empty tube of dripping liquid. "Sounds like a personal problem." Courtney groans as she sits up, removing her eye mask.
"Now I actually have to tan in the sun!" Lindsay says as Courtney yawns. "Do you know how shriveled and wrinkly that can make your skin? Ohhh you do, don't you?" the blonde says as she goes over and inspects the brunette's hair. The camera cuts to a loudspeaker which goes off , scaring away the gull resting inside. "Alright campers," Chris announces, "enough beauty sleep. Time to show us what you're made of!"
The scene flashes to somewhere in the middle of the woods, where a poorly built stage can be seen. Curtains of different fabrics were hung up, and spotlights hung above the stage on wooden beams that held the back of the stage up. Benches were set up in front of the stage, and lights were set behind those as well, giving the appearance of a show about to start. The Bass sat on one bench, while the Gophers sat on the other.
"Are we going to star in our own musical?!" Ella asked with a gleam in her eye. "Oh i've always wanted the chance to be a damsel in distress, saved by the ever brave knight in shining armour!" she sighs dreamily.
"Hey Mike! I saved you a spot!" Zoey called out to the passing teen. "Thanks Zoey!" he rubs the back of his head as he goes to sit next to Zoey. As he sits down, he leans back and gets stuck in between benches. Zoey laughs at Mike's clumsiness and Mike sheepishly smiles back. Unbeknownst to them, Heather watches them with a suspicious glare on her face. As she turns away, she sees Tyler waving at Lindsay, who smiles as they go to sit by each other.
Heather glares before grabbing Lindsay and pulling her away towards herself and Ella. The blonde gives her a sheepish smile, but Heather huffs and turns away from her, smacking Lindsay with her hair. She sputters for a second, before pulling a large hair from her mouth.
The camera cuts to show Chris walking out and facing the cast. "Welcome to our brand new, deluxe, state-of-the-art, outdoor amphitheater!" the host says arms up, as the shot zooms out once again to show the amphitheater. "Ok, this week's challenge is a summer camp favorite." Chris cheerfully says while raising a finger in preparation. "A talent contest!" he finishes while pointing at the camera.
"YES!" Sugar jumps up and squeals excitedly. "It's my time to shine y'all!"
"Each team has eight hours to pick their three most talented campers. These three will represent them in the show tonight. Sing, dance, juggle, anything goes as long as it's legal." Chris finishes with a frown, giving Duncan a signal that he'd be watching him. The delinquent snaps his finger in letdown.
"You'll be judged by our resident talent scout," Chris says as the camera cuts back out to the zoomed out shot of the amphitheater, "former DJ, VJ, and rap legend...Grand Master Chef! Who will show his approval via..the Chef-O-Meter!" the host finishes while pointing above him. A wooden spoon with Chef's face in the dip appears on screen, with a bar separated into nine segments on the handle. The bar flashes all green and dings while Chris continues. "The team that loses will send one camper home tonight! Good luck!" he waves while walking off stage.
Heather blows a whistle, and lowers a clipboard she had been holding. "Ok, I'm the team captain so here's how it's gonna work." She says standing in front of her team. "Wait, who made you team captain?" Courtney voices. "If anyone here should be team captain, it's me. I have CIT experience." She says as she walks towards the queen bee.
"Uhh no. Lindsay, Ella, and I took a vote, and I won." the black haired girl smiles back. "You can't just vote with three people, that doesn't even make any sense!" Courtney replies, now visibly frustrated with Heather.
"I think I'll take charge from here. You both can't make a clear headed decision." Jasmine says as she now enters the fray. "Oh you meant like last time when we lost?" Heather and Courtney glare at the girl. The three now start going back and forth, yelling and bickering before a surprising voice cuts through their bickering. "HEY GUYS!" Geoff yells at the three teens.
"Why don't the rest of us just vote on who we want to lead us?" The others nod in agreement. "Ok, so who wants Heather to be in charge?" he asks with a calm grin on his face. Lindsay and Ella raise their hands. "Jasmine?" the party boy continues. B and Dawn both raise their hands for the tall Australian. "Courtney?" Geoff, Duncan, and Tyler all put their hands up for the Type-A girl. She smiles widely at the boys, thankful they put their trust in her.
"I can roll with that since we all voted." Jasmine says, still not convinced but willing to accept. Heather, on the other hand, was furious. "Ugh I can't believe you guys want her leading us more than me!" She yells in anger. "Sorry toots, that's what we wanted." Duncan smirks at the now upset teen.

"We've got like, three totally headstrong dudettes on our team." Geoff confesses. "And I gotta step up and make sure we still act like a team. 'Cause otherwise we're gonna lose this challenge. It's not cool when teammates fight, man."

The Bass logo comes onto the screen, and we see the team watching Ezekiel attempt to rap to a beat. The prairie boy is bobbing up and down, but the rest of the team gives him very odd looks. "Yo yo yo, the Zeke's in the house, and I gotta go and catch this...uhhh mouse! I'm gonna win this talent show, but not...before I start to...grow!" He finishes his rap and his teammates look on in shock, or facepalm with how bad it sounded.
The scene flashes back to the Gophers, and Ella can be seen dancing and singing a song to the birds that had gathered on her arms, and her teammates watch in awe. She hums her final note, and they all clap. "Well there's our first contestant." Jasmine smiles towards the girl and the rest nod in agreement. "Ok so Ella is in, Tyler you're up. What do you have to show us?" Courtney asks, finishing writing something down on her clipboard.
"I can dish out some sweet Yo-yo moves!" the jock yells as he runs up to show everyone. He pulls out a yo-yo from his pocket and begins to do some tricks. He rolls the yo-yo along the ground as if he was walking a dog, then pulls it back up and starts to swing it around his head. As he brought the yo-yo back down towards the ground, the wire snapped, and the yo-yo went flying right towards Heather's head. She gasps before ducking just in time for it to sail into the brush. Chris pops on screen just moments after to see how both teams were faring. "That is just sad." the host says, looking at the camera.
"Yeah...that's gonna be a no from me." Courtney deadpanned. "Watch where you aim that Tyler!" Heather growls at the now glum looking boy.
He walks away disappointed, but before he could sit down a hand appeared on his shoulder. "You looked really good out there." Lindsay told him, giving him a flirty smile. Tyler looks back at the girl and smiles, then she goes back towards Ella and sits down while waving at him. "Whatever, I have more important things to do anyways." Heather says as she gets up to leave. "Hey where are you going?" Jasmine asks her. "To make sure we win this competition." she replies while walking away from the group.
The shot transitions back to the Bass and DJ is seen wearing a white, skin tight leotard and is holding a pink ribbon. He leaps around in the air and twirls his ribbon, and gracefully lands in the splits with his arms raised, finishing his routine. The teens clap in respect for their teammates' show, but Jo scowls and folds her arms.
"I don't like it, but we haven't seen much else. You're in tree trunks. Next!"she finishes.
DJ smiles and gets up to go change and Mike surprisingly comes up to show off his hidden talent next. "I can do some….impressions! Yeah that's the word. I have a couple impressions that I can do pretty well." He laughs awkwardly.
"Well? Can we see any of them?" Jo asks, her eyebrow raised.
"R-right! Ok here's the first one." Mike gasps and hunches over. "What are you whippersnappers all looking at?" Chester says to the skeptical teens. "Do I need to remind you back in my day, I had to walk uphill both ways to school!" he finishes, shaking his fist at them. "Mike, I don't know if that's going to be enough to help us win." Zoey says. "We need something more, like what you did during dodgeball?" she tells the hunched over boy.
"Yeah, we need some acrobatic expertise here." Jo says with a knowing smile. Mike gasps once more and Svetlana comes forth and looks at the Bass members. "Did someone say we need a gymnast?" she asks the group. Jo grins widely. "You're in, twinkle toes!"

"That Svetlana impression brings out the most athletic side of Mike, so of course I'm gonna milk it for however long I can! And we need it to win this challenge." the jockette confesses.

The shot cuts back to the Gophers, and Geoff is seen doing some tricks on a penny board. Riding up and jumping off a rock, he does a kickflip and lands on the ground before rolling up onto a stump, and kicking up the board right into his hands. "Nice moves cowboy." Duncan tells the party boy. "I think that's our second guy." he looks back at Courtney who rolls her eyes. "Fine, we just need one more then. B? Dawn? Do you two have any suggestions or talents you wanna share?"
The camera cuts back to the Bass as they sit behind their cabin, Brick and Jo standing in front of them.
"Ok so we have DJ doing his ribbon thing, and Mike doing his impressions, who wants to be our last player?" Brick asks the team. "Dave? You had some killer moves back during the dodgeball challenge." he says to the normal boy. "Wanna give it another go?"
"Uhh, I hate to sound rude, but that would mean all three of our people would be doing a dance or routine, and we might want some variety to win?" he says to Brick, sounding a bit unsure. The group looks at him, impressed he was that observant of their talents.
"That makes sense, soldier. Maybe I'll have to do my legendary hand-stand push ups!" Brick grunts as he starts to do pushups while in a handstand.
"Um hello y'all? I'm a pageant queen? I'm also the most talented one here. I should be more than enough to win." Sugar confidently smiles towards the group.
"Too bad, so sad. I'll take Buzzcut's weird exercise over a girly pageant show ." Jo retorts, not really interested in what Sugar had to say in reply.
The camera flashes back to the Gophers, and Courtney is smiling as she finishes writing something down on paper. "Alright, I think we've all agreed on our three representatives." The group nods as Courtney looks back down and reads off the names of the three teens. "Jasmine, Ella and Geoff. You guys are our best chance to get us winning again. If I had my violin I would volunteer myself, but I didn't bring it to camp." She puts down her clipboard and looks around, confused. Hey, has anyone seen Heather?" she asks the group. They only look uninterested or shrug in reply.

"Heather has been acting very suspicious today, I don't trust her." Courtney confesses. "But, I know she wants to win, so she's probably conspiring against the other team. If that's the case, there's no need to interfere."

The camera flashes to the Bass cabin, where Sugar walks out with a frustrated look on their face. "I can't believe they didn't choose me for the talent show!" I mean, who in their right mind would choose that string bean Mike, over a pageant queen?!" she growls as she stomps towards the forest. Heather's head pops up from behind the deck, and she gains a knowing look. She smiles before pulling her head back down, and the music takes an ominous turn.
The shot flashes to the amphitheater, where the Bass can be seen sitting around while their teammates practice their acts. Mike keeps gasping and letting Svetlana and Chester take over, while Brick is shown doing some pushups, and DJ can be seen with his leotard on.
Sugar sits at the edge, grumbling to herself. Suddenly Heather appears beside her. Sugar gasps but Heather puts a finger to her lips. "What are you doing here? Get lost." the pageant girls hisses. "Wait, I can help you. I hear you're a really talented pageant girl." she says to the skeptical teen. "I'm listening..." Sugar says, folding her arms. Heather leans in and whispers in her ear, and Sugar gains a devilish smirk. "You got yourself a deal missy!" she says, shaking her hand.
The scene flashes back to the Gophers, where Tyler can be seen approaching Lindsay, who is talking to Ella. "Oooooh im so excited for your performance! You're gonna do so well!" Lindsay tells the princess. "Aww you're too kind Lindsay! Oh, it appears you have a visitor!" Ella replies, noticing Tyler walking towards the blonde beauty. "Hey Lindsay, wanna go for a walk?" the jock asks with a nervous smile. She looks at Ella who nods knowingly, and she happily nods as they walk away together.
The scene changes and we see Tyler and Lindsay walking in the woods towards the amphitheater. "Do you ever feel like Heather is using you?" Tyler asks Lindsay who is distracted by a passing butterfly. "Why would she do that? We're best friends! She told me so." the blonde replied with a smile. "I don't know, I just feel like she makes you do her dirty work. She's not the nicest person you know." he says with a concerned face.
"Awww that's so sweet you're worried about me. But she would never do that! I would totally know if she was." she says before bumping into someone who clears their throat. Heather glares down at her and Lindsay gives her a sheepish smile.
"Are you done playing girlfriend?" she asks the blonde with a stern face. "I-I was just-" Lindsay stutters before Heather grabs her by the wrist and pulls her away.
"I need you to do something for me." she tells the sad Lindsay. "I made a deal with Sugar to get her in the talent show. I told her once she sees you, she has to make a distraction, and I need you to grab DJ's ribbon for me."
"Why would I do that? That's not very nice, you know." Lindsay says with a skeptical look. "Because I asked you to. And if you don't I can't guarantee we'll win. DJ has a strong act." Heather replies.
"O-ok i guess that makes sense." Lindsay goes off towards the amphitheater, and Heather watches her go with a smile.

"Sugar leaves every night to go sing in the woods, and it's horrendous. Of course I'd help her get in the contest. It'll guarantee the Bass lose. What a bunch of losers. It's so easy it's almost not fun." Heather confesses with a disgusted look on her face. "Almost." she finishes with a smirk.

The scene cuts back to the Bass who are still warming up on stage, and Sugar is standing away from the others, waiting for Lindsay. As soon as she sees the blonde, she starts to move towards Zoey. "Waughhhh!" the pageant girl screams as she suddenly falls down right in front of Zoey. "Ohhh my head hurts so bad!" she wails.
"Sugar! Hey are you alright?" Zoey asks quickly, kneeling down to help her. "DJ can you help me move her to the boxes?" she asks the gentle giant. DJ rushes over to help move the moaning Sugar, and the camera zooms in on the ribbon.
Lindsay uses this opportunity to snag the ribbon and turns to leave. But as she turns around, Amy can be seen standing in front of her. Lindsay freezes knowing she's been caught, but Amy just passes right by and doesn't say a word. The blonde beauty gives her a confused look but runs off anyways, and Sugar can be seen smirking watching her leave.
The scene fast forwards and the camera pans right, showing all the campers warming up behind the stage while their teammates wait on the stands outside. Jasmine can be seen twirling a lasso, Mike still gasping and switching personalities, DJ stretching out his arms, Brick doing a handstand, Geoff twirling his skateboard on his feet, and Ella doing some vocal warm ups. "Good luck out there guys!" Zoey says to her team, appearing from the left side of the screen. "I know you'll all do great!" she cheers, and looks at Mike in particular. "T-thanks Zoey. That means a lot." Mike blushes and looks down in embarrassment.
"Hey, stop distracting them! They need to focus." Courtney says coming from the right side of the screen, clipboard in hand. "We actually want to win this challenge, so stop trying to interfere."
"I'm just saying good luck!" Zoey says with a confused look. "What's wrong with wanting to help encourage my team?"
"Fine. But keep it down! The show is gonna start soon, and we're up first." the Type-A finishes before walking away. Zoey stands next to her team with a still confused look. "What was that all about?"
"Just forget about it. We've got more important things to do. Like winning!" Brick tells the girl, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Go sit with the rest of the team, and we'll put on a show you'll all remember!"
The camera then cuts to an animation of the Bass and Gophers logos on a yellow background, clashing into each other and shattering into stars. "It's the TDI talent extravaganza!" Chris voices over as the shot now shows the amphitheater. The host is seen standing on the stage, and the cast can be seen sitting down, backs towards the camera.
"Welcome to the very first Camp Wawanakwa talent contest!" the host says as a funky beat starts to play, and the camera pans to the right to show the teens watching with excitement. "Where six campers will showcase their mad skills, and desperately try not to humiliate themselves." Chris says while pointing at the camera as it zoomed in on his face. "First up for the Screaming Gophers is Jasmine!"
Jasmine appears onstage and her teammates cheer as she pulls out a lasso from her coat, and starts whipping it over her head. "Here's how to really lasso someone up!" the Australian shouts. She twirls her lasso around her body, going up and around her arms and legs, and then launches it into the crowd.
The shot follows the lasso as it lands perfectly over Dave, and Jasmine pulls on the rope to tighten it. Dave groans in pain before screaming as he's suddenly yanked from his seat, and the camera follows him back as he flies through the air and right into Jasmine's arms.
"Impressive, I don't know how you did it, but let's see what Grand Master Chef thinks!" Chris says as he walks out onto the stage. The Chef-O-Meter appears on screen and six squares light up for Jasmine's lasso performance. "Nicely done! The chef approves!" the host calls to Jasmine as she walks off the stage while her teammates cheer. "First up for the Bass, make some noise for the army boy...Brick!" he calls out.
A drumline plays as the cadet walks towards the middle of the stage as his teammates clap for him, and immediately falls into his hand stand. He starts to do push ups while on his hands, and he grins before starting to move around and push up at the same time. As Brick moves around however, his foot gets tangled up in a rope hanging down from one of the beams. It snags his foot and he struggles to break free. The camera zooms in on his face as he strains to pull his leg free, and a snap is heard as he does.
As brick breathes a sigh of relief, a lighting fixture slams into his head, smashing his face into the wood planks below. "Ohhhhhh that's gotta hurt." Chris says grimacing as Brick still lies on the ground in pain. "We're going to take a quick break to help Brick, and fix the stage." the host says as he stands above Brick. Elevator music is heard and a cheesy black and white photo of a man ironing his shirt is put on screen.
"Ok, Brick's disappointing finish still scored two points on the Chef-O-Meter, but the Gophers are still screaming ahead with Jasmine lasso routine." Chris says as he raises his hands in dramatic fashion. "Up next for the Gophers, give it up for Geoff!"
A guitar riff starts as Geoff rides onto the stage with his skateboard and bends his knees to start a trick. He jumps up and does a kickflip, landing and turning around to start another run. This time, he puts a hand on his board and jumps, bringing the board up to his hat and back down.
But as he lands, the board snaps in half, and Goeff lands on his feet, a bewildered look on his face. "Sick tricks Geoff!" Chris says as he once again walks onto the stage. "Let's see what the Chef thinks of your...ending." The Chef-O-Meter comes up and a score of three is shown. "Not much." the host deadpanned.
"Three down and three to go, and the Killer Bass are totally sucking so far. Let's hear it for Mike!" The audience claps as Mike walks onto the stage looking very nervous. "Alright, let's see some acrobatics!" Jo shouts from the audience. He gasps and Svetlana appears proudly standing with her arms in her hips. "I, Svetlana, will show you true art with ze Olympic level gymnastics!"
She leaped back and forth around the stage, doing tucks, rolls, splits, and every kind of flip she could think of. Front flips, back flips, twirling flips, back handsprings, front handsprings, the sheer scope of her range was immensely impressive. The camera zooms in on her as she finishes her routine, and bows as her team cheers extremely loudly.
Svetlana gasps once more and Chester suddenly appears looking very upset. "Gosh darn it! Now my back hurts! Can't you kids do anything right!" he shakes his fist at the watching campers , and his team laughs. He gaps once more and Mike finally returns, and grins sheepishly.
"I don't know what just happened, but let's see what our judge thinks." Chris says once again raising his hand to indicate the Chef-O-Meter. It dings and a score of six is shown, tying the Gophers score.
"Mike's impressions and gymnastics tied it up with Jasmine's expert lasso abilities! Whoever has the better performance from our last two competitors will be declared the winner of the Total Drama Talent Extravaganza! Now without further delay, here's Ella!" Chris motions towards the side, and the camera zooms out to show Ella prancing onto the stage.
Already humming, the princess raises her arm, takes a deep breath, and begins her short song as a gentle tune begins to play.
"I wish I could travel the world and see it's
beauty
I'd love to have friends that could come with me"
Ella twirls and raises her arms as birds flock to them, and more animals appear near the stage to hear the girl's enchanting voice.
"You lovely people make this all perfect
If you weren't here to help me I wouldn't say it's worth it"
Ella stops and looks at Chris as her final chorus starts.
"I love to sing and dance, so Grand Master Chef
Please give me a chanceeee!" She finishes her song and bows as all the forest animals gather around her in dramatic fashion.
The audience claps and cheers for the princess, and the Chef-O-Meter shows a score of seven, giving the Gophers the lead. The camera cuts to Chris as he walks onto stage next to Ella.
"Ellas beautiful forest sonata gives the Gophers the lead!" Chris exclaims motioning towards the girl. "Will DJ's ribbon dancing be enough to turn the tides and win this thing? I seriously doubt it." the host says, smiling at the camera.
Behind the stage, DJ can be seen searching frantically while Mike and Jo are seen behind stage watching him. "I can't find it anywhere!" the large teen says frantically looking around for something. "What are you talking about?" Jo asks with an eyebrow raised.
"My ribbon! It's gone!" DJ cries. "Without it, I can't go on and perform." He puts his head in his hands and slumps down. "Sorry guys."
"What are we gonna do Jo?" Mike asks, looking at the jockette desperately. "We have to get someone else to perform something!"
"But who do we have that doesn't suck?" Jo replies with a frown. "Ezekiel sucks, Amy is a cheer girl, Dave already went...uh oh." Jo gets a nervous look on her face. "Who's left?" Mike asks the girl.
"Don't worry y'all. I can totally win this thang for us no problem!" Sugar says suddenly appearing in front of Jo and Mike. "I guess we don't have a choice. Don't let us down or you're toast." Jo tells the girl with a frown.
The shot flashes to show Sugar standing on stage in a slightly different outfit than she normally wears. Instead of blue jeans and a pink crop top, she was now wearing pink pants and a white crop top, with a gold cowbell hanging from her neck and a pink and white hat atop her head.
"Y'all ready for the best performance of the night?" she calls out to the other campers. "I've won all my pageants thanks to one thang. My super sweet style of music! It's a mix between country and rap that I like to call….craptry!" Her teammates gasp and Jo facepalms.
She hits a button on a radio and a dreamy tune begins to play. The camera pans over the Bass as they all watch with anticipation, until the camera cuts back to Sugar as the beat turns into a rap beat.
"Sugar Silo I'm wicked sweet
I tap it when I tap it with a tasty beat"
Sugar licks her lips and her teammates groan before continuing.
"I don't like milk from a Jersey cow
I'm the queen of Crapty you all should bow!
Sugar Hollaaaa!"
She begins to swing around and bumps her shoulders up and down and continues.
"Sugar Silo go, dosey doe
Sugar Silo here till I win the dough
Sugar Hollaaaaa!"
Chris winces and covers his ears as the pageant girl sings at an even higher pitch.
"Like a running horse, the win I'll steal
Am I tripping, no way I'm for real!
Sugar Hollaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
The audience all cover their ears and grimace, a watching squirrel loses all its fur, and some sharks watching grimace and dive underwater to escape the sound. Sugar went so high, the camera screen cracked and the shot cuts to Chris who ran onto the stage to stop the girl.
"Sugar stop! We've seen too much!" Chris says to the pageant girl. "That was the worst, most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my entire life! Chef, what do you think?" The Chef-O-Meter pops up and gives a score of nine, but in red instead of green. "After what we just saw, I'm not surprised. The Screaming Gophers win!"
The Gophers cheer and rush to congratulate Ella, who had appeared on the stage after hearing she had won the challenge for them. Sugar stands on the stage, eyes wide as the Gophers rush the stage. "You think my performance was bad?! How could you vote for that princess over me?" she growls at Ella.
"Hey, is that my ribbon?" DJ gasps as he points to something in Sugar's back pocket. Sticking out of her back pocket was DJs missing ribbon, the one thing he needed for his performance. "Wh-what? How did that get there?" Sugar looks back at her own team as they give her glares. "I didn't do it, I swear! Heather and Lindsay stole it!"
"Then how come it's in your pocket?" Heather asks her with a small smile.

"I knew she would blame me for her horrible performance, so I snuck it into her pocket when I went up on the stage. It's so fun messing with them." Heather grins as she looks at her nails.

The shot cuts to a nighttime view of the entire island, the moon illuminating the lake. The camera zooms in onto the glowing fire pit area.
"Kudos to you all for an incredible night of entertainment!" Chris voices over as the camera pans over the Bass campers who had received marshmallows. "Singing, gymnastics, push-ups! There is only one marshmallow left on this plate." The camera stops on Chris who is holding up his plate with the singular marshmallow on it.
It cuts to the fire pit where Sugar and Brick sit, awaiting their fate. An suspenseful beat sets in as they both look nervous.
"Brick, you showed us strength can mean a lot, but you also got pancaked in the face with a spotlight. And Sugar, you showed us that maybe some music genres were never meant to be combined." Chris walks up to the two still holding his platter. "Seriously, never do that around anyone ever again."
"Just give Brick his marshmallow already!" Amy says, rolling her eyes.
"Sugar, your...interesting set of skills weren't enough to save you this time. The final marshmallow goes to...Brick." Brick smiles widely as Chris tosses the boy his treat, and Sugar just huffs and crosses her arms. "Time to hit the boat of losers girl." the host says to a now standing Sugar.
"Fine! I don't wanna be around people who don't recognize my talents anyways." She storms off down the dock of shame before hopping on the boat of losers.

"Why would I help the weird farm girl out?" Amy smirks. "I'm going to win this competition, and I'll do whatever it takes to win, even if that means throwing someone under the bus." the mean twin laughs.
The camera zooms out from the outhouse, and her laughter echoes as the camera pans up to show the moon shining down on the now silent camp.

To hopefully no one's surprise, Sugar is gone. Craptry was too good to pass up, and I wanted her to go out by conspiring with someone rather than getting picked to star. The people I selected were honestly probably the best choices, because honestly most of these contestants are either athletes or music people, with a couple odds and ends. I hope that the talents everyone showed were enough in character to feel genuine.
Heather doubling back on her promise was a good way to get her out of the blame, and really put Sugar in the hole. She's starting to really make some moves.
Amy letting Lindsay pass was also a good way to show her cruel side, showing she doesn't really care for her teammates as long as she's safe. Also, some Tyler Lindsay development had started! I felt like Tyler trying to warn Lindsay is a good way to set things up for the future. I hope you all enjoyed this episode, and I look forward to reading your reviews!
