"...Alright, Blue, I know this may seem hard, but I need you to recover your memories," Saurus says with a serious glare while sitting on the sandy beach as a smiling Blue sat in front of him and wears one of Steven's usual shirts as it completely covers up her body and a pair of Steven's old blue shorts that Greg donated underneath as Saurus had called up Jenny yesterday for some help on getting some clothes for Blue and, after explaining who she is, Jenny agreed to help as she promises to get Blue her new clothes tomorrow.
"I know that you can understand me, so I will need you to be serious and actually try to recover your lost memories and we can finally find out where you truly come from. I have a haunch, but I want to be 100% sure. Now, this may talk a while, but I promise that I will be able to help-Ow!" Saurus says before yelping in pain as Blue randomly ran over to chomp down on his arm with her getting blue scales and popping out her blue tail as she continued biting into Saurus's arm, which gained green scales as the black-haired teenager gritted his teeth and stood up from the floor as he began waving her around.
"Blue! Let go of me, right now, young lady! Stop trying to eat me!" Saurus scolded while swiftly shifting into his Full Dinosaur Form as he grabbed Blue, who likewise transformed into her Full Dinosaur Form and playfully bite into his arm as she tackled Saurus onto the ground and rolled around as Blue suddenly lets go of him and lets out a couple of roars that sounded suspiciously like laughter as she then ran off. "Grrrrrr, get back here, you little!" Saurus roared while getting down on all fours as he chased after Blue and they ran past Steven and the others as we see the Human/Gem Hybrid Child perched on a lifeguard chair with a bunch of water balloons in his hands as a drenched Amethyst and Pearl can be seen playing a game of checkers underneath him as Arthur sat near them.
"Ha, ha, take that, Pearl!" A grinning Amethyst says while reaching over to capture one of Pearl's pieces as said person looked pleasantly shocked by what her comrade did.
"Wow, Amethyst, I'm impressed," Pearl says with a small smile but then yelped in surprise as she gets hit with a water balloon.
"Now, it's your move, Pearl," Steven says with a wink and a grin as he held up another water balloon.
"Steven, are the water balloons really necessary?" Arthur asked with a raised eyebrow as Steven nodded.
"Yeah, this way the moves really matter," Steven says with a smile as Pearl gave him a disbelieving look.
"But it's checkers! Every single move matters!" An annoyed Pearl yelled as Saurus and Blue can be seen rolling across the beach in the background.
"It sounds like someone's being a sore loser," Amethyst says with a smug grin while twirling a strand of her wet hair around her finger as Arthur laughed a bit and Pearl starts pouting as she huffed and a yelling Saurus can be seen trying to run away from Blue, who was biting into his tail as he struggled to shake her off.
"I'm not a sore loser..." Pearl trailed off as a twinkle appeared in her eyes and suddenly reacted down to capture all of Amethyst's pieces in one fell swoop. "...because I just won the game!"
"Whaaa?!" A shocked Amethyst asked before perking up as she braces herself happily. "Oh, no! Here it comes!" Amethyst yelled while holding out her arms as a smiling Steven began pelting her with half of his water balloons, causing her to fall backwards on her back as Amethyst sighs in delight. "Aaah, ha, feels good to lose."
"Hey, wait a minute...Pearl, you cheated!" A glaring Arthur yelled as a surprised Pearl turned to her.
"What?! How!?"
"You moved a checker that wasn't kinged backwards. That's against the rules." Arthur stated scoldingly as Steven slowly turned to her and raised his remaining water balloons as Pearl sighed heavily in defeat and raised her head, accepting her punishment as Steven began throwing all of his water balloons at her, dousing her in water as Arthur and Amethyst laughed.
"CAN ONE OF YOU MOTHERFUCKERS TRY AND HELP ME OUT WITH THIS LITTLE MONSTER?!" Saurus asked while glaring over at the Crystal Gems as Steven and the others spotted him trying to chase after Blue, who continued barking out some cute laughs as she was able to use her smaller size and speed to avoid Saurus's grasp.
"Oh, for the love of..." An annoyed Pearl trails off as she raised her arm and flicked her fingers as Rose's Loyal Pearl was able to erect a huge sand column underneath Blue's legs and send her flying up into the air as Saurus gasped sharply and ran forward while holding out his arms as he then jumped up into the air and was able to catch Blue in mid-air as the Hybrid Experiments crashed down into the ground near the Crystal Gems with them slowly reverting back into their Human Forms as a giggling Blue licked a deadpanned Saurus's face. "...there, better?" Pearl asked with a glare as a stunned Saurus stood up from the floor while holding Blue in his arms as he cradled her.
"Wait, wait, wait, hold on, you can manipulate sand?!"
"Yeah, it's one of my Gem Abilities," Pearl explained casually with a shrug.
"...Okay, I understand you being unable to use your powers on like 99% of our missions, but why didn't you use these sand powers of yours yesterday with the Desert Glass Gem Pillow thing? Seriously, that could've really helped out back then." Saurus says with a huff and a glare as Pearl opened up her mouth...and promptly closed it as she realized that he had a good point and facepalmed with a groan as Pearl realized that she could've used her Sand Manipulation Powers to easily destroy any constructs that the Desert Glass Gem Pillow creates.
"A-Anyway..." Pearl trailed off while coughing awkwardly as she then turned back to glare at Amethyst. "Ahem, I certainly hope that's not the attitude you have during battle."
"Ahem, I certainly hope that's not the attitude you have during battle," Amethyst says while shapeshifting into a Purple Pearl as she then turned back to her Default Form and stood up from the floor to glare at her comrade. "Ugh, you're no fun anymore. This is why we never form Opal."
"We don't form Opal because you're difficult and a mess!"
"We don't form Opal because you're uptight and-,"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold the phone! And give the phone to us!" Steven, Saurus, and Arthur interrupted while running over to come between Amethyst and Pearl as they held out their hands with Blue climbing up to Saurus's shoulders and she began playing with his spiky hair aimlessly. "What the heck is Opal?!"
"Oh, it's the two of us, mashed together," Amethyst says with a casual shrug while gesturing at herself before shapeshifting into a Purple Pearl and then a miniature version of a Purple Opal as she then shapeshifted back into her Default Form.
"Ugh, please, is water just hydrogen and oxygen 'mashed' together?" Pearl asked dryly as Steven perked up while raising his hand gleefully.
"Ooh, ooh, I know! They are not!" Steven yelled excitedly as Pearl smiled and rubbed his head.
"Very good, Steven," Pearl says, happy that Steven remembered the subjects that she and Greg taught him when they were Homeschooling him. "Anyway, look here, boys," Pearl says while raising her arms as she manipulated the sand around her to create Two Sand Beings that resembled her and Amethyst. "When we synchronize our forms we can combine into a powerful fusion gem named Opal. You see, boys, when two or more Gems fuse together, they combined into a powerful being that combines both Gems' powers, increasing their physical and magical power." Pearl says while having the Sand Beings dance around elegantly until they ran over to fuse together into a big Sand Being that resembled Opal.
"...Huh...Gem Fusion sounds almost the same as the Fusion from Dragon Ball Z." A surprised Arthur says as Saurus robotically slowly turned over to glance at Pearl.
"Hold on...I'm sorry, but...WHAT?! YOU GUYS COULD'VE FUSED INTO POWERFUL BEINGS THIS WHOLE TIME?!" A stunned Saurus asked as a startled Pearl nodded. "Well, then...WHY DIDN'T YOU GUYS FUSE BEFORE?! I MEAN, COME ON, FUSION WOULD'VE REALLY BEEN USEFUL AGAINST THE CENTIPEEDLE, THE RED EYE, THE GUARDIAN OF THE LUNAR SEA SPIRE, AND THAT PYRAMID TEMPLE!" An angry Saurus screamed, unable to believe that the Crystal Gems have a Super Move this powerful that they barely use as Pearl winced and looked away awkwardly.
"...Well...we only fuse in deadly situations..."
"AND THOSE WEREN'T DEADLY SITUTIONS?!" Saurus asked incredulously with a glare as Pearl sweatdropped tremendously.
"Errr, yeah, okay, maybe Sardonyx would've been useful against the Centipeedle...and Opal would've been able to destroy the Red Eye with ease...and as much as I hate to admit it, Sugilite would've been able to defeat the Guardian of the Lunar Sea Spire with no trouble...and Alexandrite could've destroyed the Pyramid Temple without even getting inside..." Pearl says with an embarrassed tone as Saurus facepalmed with a groan.
"The next thing that you are going to tell me is that Garnet and Amethyst also have elemental powers."
"...Well...Garnet can use fire, ice, and lightning and Amethyst has fire powers as well..." Pearl says anxiously as Saurus proceeds to faceplant onto the beach and groaned loudly in irritation as a giggling Blue lies on top of him and then jumped off as she began running around on all fours.
"...Uh...well, ignoring all of that, Fusion sounds pretty cool. Tell us more about Opal." A smiling Steven says as Amethyst turned to him.
"Well, first off, I don't dance like that," Amethyst says while summoning her whip and she used it to destroy Opal's Sand Being with ease as Pearl looked annoyed by this. "Second, Opal is like an ultra-powerful, stone-cold Betty. That part's me, and she's like, kinda tall. That part's Pearl." Amethyst says with a shrug while De-Summoning Her Weapon as Arthur laughed amusedly.
"What Amethyst is attempting to say is, Opal is an amalgam of our combined magical and physical attributes, fused into a single entity," Pearl says, repeating what she said earlier to Steven since she knows that he wasn't paying attention.
"Damn, Gem Fusion sounds awesome," Arthur says as Steven nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, can you do it right now?" An excited Steven asked as Saurus perked up and nodded in agreement after recovering from his rant from earlier.
"Ooh, yeah, go and form Opal." Saurus says as Arthur nodded in agreement.
"Seriously, after everything that you guys said earlier, we HAVE to see Opal now," Arthur says as a giggling Blue threw up her hands cheerfully.
"Opal! Opal! Opal!"
"See? Even Blue wants to see Opal." Steven says as Pearl scoffed and rolled her eyes while Amethyst crossed her arms and looked away with a glare.
"This is the same person that eat out of the trash this morning with Lion and Tiger. I don't exactly trust her judgment. Besides, as I said before, we only fuse in deadly situations...starting from this point on." Pearl says awkwardly after she spotted Saurus's crossed glare as Steven pouts in disappointment, but then perked up as light emits from inside the Temple Beach House.
"Garnet's back!" Steven yelled, stating the obvious as he and the others turned around to run away as they made their way into the Temple Beach House and spotted Garnet stepping down from the Warp Pad as it stopped glowing. "Ooh! Ooh! Did you bring me anything?!" Steven asked hopefully as Garnet stoically presents a rock. "Whoa, a rock! Thanks, Garnet!" A gleeful Steven exclaimed while reaching over to grab the rock as he walked away.
"I also got something for you too," Garnet says to Saurus while holding out her gems as she bubbled in Steven's Old Red Baby Carrier and popped it as the Leader of the Crystal Gems handed it over to the black-haired teenager.
"Uh, thanks, but why do I need this?" A bewildered Saurus asked as Garnet's visor glinted across the sunlight.
"Trust me, you will need this," Garnet says ominously just as a giggling Blue jumped off from Saurus's shoulder as she landed on the ground and ran over to jump up to chomp on Steven's rock, much to his shock as he then narrowed his eyes down at the Female Dinosaur/Human Hybrid and shapeshifted into a Pink Blue as both of them started circling each other while growling angrily.
"So, was your mission a success?" Pearl asked Garnet curiously with the Crystal Gems ignoring the Kid's odd behavior as the Fusion nodded.
"I have located the Geode Beetles of Heaven and Earth. We should split up to retrieve them." Garnet explained as Amethyst crossed her arms and glared over at Pearl.
"Well, I'm going with not Pearl."
"Well, that's perfect because I don't want to go with grammatically incorrect people anyway," Pearl says with her and Amethyst butting heads as they growled at each other angrily.
"Is her talking about me?" Steven asked curiously while shapeshifting back into his Default Form as he accidentally lets go of the rock and a grinning Blue rolled backwards on her back as she continued biting into her rock in victory with Saurus sighed heavily as he walked over to grab Blue by the back of her shirt and reached over to snatch away the rock as the black-haired teenager tossed it back over to Steven and the Female Human/Dinosaur pouted as she huffed.
"No, Steven," Arthur stated blankly while shaking his head in slight annoyance.
"You six go together, I go alone," Garnet stated firmly with crossed arms.
"What? Why?/Oh, god, seriously?" Pearl, Amethyst, and Saurus said in unison with the former not liking this plan at all since Saurus knows that he and the others will be forced to deal with the Gems bitching and whining to each other all day.
"The Earth Beetle's at the bottom of the boiling lava lake, and only I can swim in lava," Garnet says before reaching up to snap her fingers as she magically changed her visor into a pair of silver goggles. "You'll find the Heaven Beetle at the top of the Sky Spire. It's safer."
"You mean boring-er."
"You mean more boring." Pearl corrected as Amethyst smirked at her mischievously.
"So, you agree with me?" Amethyst asked as Pearl groaned and facepalmed.
"Ugh, this is going to be a long day." A moaning Arthur says to Saurus, who nodded in agreement as he then turned back to the Leader of the Crystal Gems.
"Don't worry, Garnet. We will go and get the Heaven Beetle. You have our word." Saurus stated firmly as Garnet nodded.
"Good...oh and take Blue with you."
"What? Why? Isn't it dangerous to bring a Kid to a mission?" Saurus asked worriedly as Garnet gave him a deadpanned look.
"First off, we brought Steven even before he started learning to summon his Shield. Second, Blue is strong enough to survive our missions and I'm sure that you and the others will be able to protect her if she is ever in any danger. Third, I can't bring her with me on my mission obviously and since we don't have anyone around to babysit her, she has to go with you. Besides, do you really trust Blue enough to stay on her own?" Garnet asked with crossed arms as Saurus turned around and spotted Blue currently staring at a lit match that she had found somewhere with an entranced look on her face as the Female Human/Dinosaur Hybrid giggled at feeling her hand getting burned and a few embers of flames fell down on the ground as it scorched the wooden floor.
"Okay, no, but maybe Greg can watch over her?"
"..."
"...Alright, Blue will come with us," Saurus says while putting on the baby carrier as he walked over to bend down and grabbed Blue as the Male Human/Dinosaur Hybrid placed her in his baby carrier and stood up from the floor as Pearl placed her hand on her forehead and shakes her head with a moan.
"Ugh, come on, guys, let's go," Pearl says as the others nodded and walked over to stand on the Warp Pad as they were about to leave, but then-
"Boys, be sure to keep the harmony," Garnet says as Saurus and Arthur nodded while Steven beamed as he gave her a thumbs up.
"No problem. Today's going to be all about har..." Steven says before getting interrupted by the Warp Pad activating as he and the others were warped away.

Standing in a large red colorful background with millions of glowing stars, we see a stoic Garnet lifting up her glasses to wink at the readers slyly with her Dual Germstones glowing brightly as Arthur stood beside her and grinned slyly as the 18-year-old Man lifted up his right arm to show off his glowing Gemstone and we then see a pair of smirking Pearl and Amethyst riding around on Blue's back with their Gemstones glowing brightly and the 10-year-old Female Hybrid Child was transformed into her Full Dinosaur Form as a roaring Saurus suddenly dropped down from the sky and landed in front of the Crystal Gems in his Full Dinosaur Form with Steven riding on his back and his Gemstone glowed brightly as they all struct a heroic pose.
And if you think we can't,
We'll always find a way!
After warping themselves into the other side of the planet, the Crystal Gems can be seen glaring at a hoard of Corrupted Gems, Evil Dinosaurs, and Jasper and Peridot as Garnet swiftly summoned her Gauntlets while Pearl summoned her spear as Amethyst pulled out her whip, Steven summoned his Shield, Saurus transformed into his True Dinosaur Form, Arthur summoned his spiked gauntlets, and Blue transformed into her Full Dinosaur Form as the Crystal Gems then mounted onto Saurus's back and charged forward at high speeds as they all let out a loud battle cry.
That's why the people of this world

Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Arthur, and Blue...and Saurus and Steven!
After defeating their powerful foes and saving the Planet Earth, the Crystal Gems decided to head back to Beach City as, after warping themselves near their Hometown, a roaring Saurus ran down the streets of Beach City, alarming Lars and Sadie, surprising the Pizza Family, impressing the Cool Kids, and caused a visiting Connie to gasp in awe as the Gang was able to arrive at their home, and the Crystal Gems got off Saurus's dinosaur back as he transformed back into his Human Form just as Greg drove up to them as he got out of the vehicle and placed a grill in front of them to grill up some victory Hot Dogs as a smiling Saurus rubbed a giggling Steven's head proudly.

"...mony!" Steven finished after he and the others were warped over to somewhere in the Nothern Region of Asia as the Crystal Gems were standing in front of a set of giant mountains that had a set of homemade concrete stairs as it leads up to the Sky Spire, which was a giant spire constructed by Homeworld Gems as it was free-floating at the very top of the tallest mountain with smaller floating rocks leading towards it as it has a spiral light-gray hallway with orange half-oval roof tiles traveling around the structure to a dome area that held the modern tiny-sized home of the Heaven Beetle as it was placed on a little platform that was surrounded by water and sand.
"Oooh, pretty! Climb! Climb! Climb!" An excited starry-eyed Blue yelled as she easily jumped out of her baby carrier and was about to land on the ground and run off, only for Saurus to easily catch her in mid-air and placed her back in her baby carrier.
"Uh, uh, you little, monster. No way I'm letting you run around here of all places." Saurus stated firmly with a glare as Blue pouted.
"So, is this where the Heaven Beetle lives?" Arthur asked Pearl curiously after admiring the Sky Spire as she shrugged.
"Apparently."
"All the way at the top," Amethyst says dryly as Arthur then turned his head and noticed how big and long the stairs were as he narrowed his eyes with a big sweatdrop on his head.
"Ah...my old enemy...stairs."
"...Did you just make a Kung Fu Panda 2 reference?"
"Yep."
"Nice," Saurus says with a smirk as he and Arthur shared a high five as Steven turned to give Pearl an eager smile.
"So, when you Fuse, do you turn into a giant giant woman, or just a regular-sized giant woman?"
"The size of the Fusions usually varies between the Gems that are Fusing together. Like, for instance, when Amethyst and I fuse, our Fusion is way taller than Garnet, but when Amethyst and Garnet fuse, their Fusion is bigger than even the temple itself." Pearl explained with a nod as she didn't see any harm in answering any of the Boys' questions about Fusion, especially when she and the others will later teach Steven and potentially Arthur how to fuse anyway, so they might as well get all of the Boys questions out of the way.
"How do you guys activate the process of Fusion exactly?" Saurus asked as he and the others started climbing up the mountain.
"Honestly, Saurus makes a point. I mean, I know that Pearl demonstrated to us that you need to dance to Fuse, but is that always the case? Is there some kind of dancing ritual that all Gems mutually know?" Arthur asked curiously as Pearl turned to the boys
"Well, to Fuse, Gems must be in perfect sync mentally, physically, and emotionally by performing a synchronizing dance, but this isn't always the case as I have seen some Gems be able to Fuse simply by touching each other hands or even by hugging or...kissing...or even...errr...a-anyway, dancing just helps Gems be able to gather up time to synchronize with their partner...and before you ask, no, there isn't any dancing ritual. You can pretty much dance however way you want, you just have to make sure to be synchronized with your partner's movements." Pearl explained with a hearty blush on her face as she remembered the first time that she and a Gem named Bismuth fused together. It was...quite an enjoyable night if you catch my drift.
"Is there a limit on how many Gems you can Fuse with?" Steven asked while panting a bit from how much they had to climb up the stairs.
"Nah, you can pretty much Fuse with how many Gems you want as long as everyone is synchronized with each other," Amethyst says with a shrug.
"So when Gems Fuse with each other, they not only get a strength boost but they also gain each other's powers?" Saurus asked as Pearl nodded.
"Exactly, we can also combine our weapons as well. For instance, when Amethyst and I's weapons fuse, they transform into a bow." Pearl says as Saurus mumbled 'Fascinating' under his breath.
"Do fusions get unique powers that you and Amethyst can't access normally on your own?" Arthur asked as an excited Pearl nodded.
"Oh, yes, absolutely. Remember the bow that I mentioned? Well, Opal can conjure big arrows made out of blue energy with unlimited ammo and fire them. As for unique powers, since Amethyst can use fire and I can manipulate sand, when we fuse into Opal, we can create and manipulate glass. That's something that we can't do on our own." Pearl explained as Arthur nodded.
"Does one of you control the right arm and the other control the left arm?" Steven asked as Amethyst snorted and laughed a bit.
"Nah, Stevie, when we fuse, we become one being, so we are both controlling our arms."
"Are Fusions able to fuse with other Gems? And if that's the case, does the order of the Fusion change said Fusions?" Saurus asked as Pearl shakes her head.
"Well, first off, yes, Fusions are capable of Fusing with other Gems, but the same Gems will produce the same Fusion regardless of which order they combine in. For example, if Opal fused with Garnet, or if I fused with Sugilite, who is the fusion of Garnet and Amethyst, or if Amethyst fused with Sardonyx, who is a Fusion between me and Garnet, or if Garnet, Amethyst, and I all Fused together, we would always form into Alexandrite, who is the Fusion between all of the Crystal Gems, no matter what." Pearl says as Saurus was a bit confused by what she said, but after thinking about it, he finally understood her explanation and nodded.
"Is your Fusion Opal a combination of your personalities or does the Fusion have its own personality? Like how Vegito and Gogeta are a combination of Goku and Vegeta's personalities." Arthur says as Pearl gave him an odd look.
"I don't know half of what you just said, but for your question, our Fusions are their own person with their own personality, but if Amethyst and I disagree on something, our personalities, and thoughts will shine through our Fusion Opal." Pearl says with a nod.
"What about if you eat a hotdog? Whose stomach does it go into? Or do you share the same stomach? Ha, ha, ha, that would be gross." A chuckling Steven says as Amethyst rolled her eyes while crossing her arms.
"Like your last question, we basically share the same stomach, yeah...but we have to shapeshift in order to get one. How else do you think I eat?" Amethyst says as Steven nodded in understanding.
"Can Fusions do Basic Gem Abilities like Shapeshifting, Bubbling, and Warp Teleporting and such?" Arthur asked as a smiling Pearl nodded.
"Oh, yes, absolutely,"
"Hmmm...oh! I got a good one! Can Fusions have Memories of the Gems? Like, when you guys form into Opal, do you know who we are or not?" Steven asked as Amethyst gave him a surprised look.
"Huh, that is a good question. Anyway, common memories from the Fusing Gems are carried over to the Fusion, so if Pearl and I formed into Opal, we will all know and remember who you Boys are, but when we fuse, we do not automatically share each other's memories completely. It's how I am able to play pranks on Pearl even when we fuse." Amethyst whispered to Steven's ear mischievously as they shared a giggle.
"Can Gems fuse with Organic Beings like Humans or is Fusion only available to Gems?" Saurus asked as Pearl flinched and looked away with a hateful glare on her face as she clenched her fists.
"...Well...uh...okay, yes, Gems can fuse with Humans, but admittedly, we didn't find this out until Rose...tried...to fuse with Greg..."
"Wait, hold the phone! Are you telling me that Mom and Dad fused?!" An amazed Steven asked as Amethyst snorted and grinned.
"Well, of course they did, how else were you born-Ow!" Amethyst says before yelping in pain as a glaring Pearl swatted her on the back of her head with a big blush on her face.
"Amethyst, again, stop saying crude things in front of Steven," Pearl says before composing herself as she turned to Saurus. "So, as I was saying earlier, while Gems can fuse with Humans, it is not as easy as fusing with other Gems. The reason why is that when Rose and...Greg tried to fuse for the first time, it was obviously unsuccessful...but...they were...determined to make Fusion work with each other, so after months of trying, Rose was able to figure out that the reason they were failing its because their bodies weren't in perfect sync with each other."
"Really? How?" Arthur asked curiously, getting invested in the conversation as Steven was the same.
"Well, how do I put this, you see, our bodies aren't real," Pearl says as she then pointed up at her Gem. "You see, Gems are characterized by the Gemstone embedded somewhere on their body, which is analogous to a brain. "Oooohhhhhhhhh, so your bodies are basically like holograms but with mass and weight," Saurus theorized as Pearl nodded with a wide smile as Arthur understood what they said while Steven looked completely lost on what they were saying, but pretended to understand as he nodded to everything they were saying.
"Exactly, Saurus...hmmm, maybe I should be Homeschooling you alongside Steven and possibly Blue as well." Pearl thought to herself carefully before shaking her head. "Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that is why Humans and Gems can't Fuse easily since one body is organic while the other body is merely an illusion, but that's when Rose came up with a brilliant idea to use her Shapeshifting Abilities to mimic the Human Biology; bones, organs, muscle, you name it, and by doing that, it finally allowed her and Greg to be able to...fuse together," Pearl says through gritted teeth and a glare as it was clearly obvious that she was upset and annoyed that they were able to fuse, but thankfully, a clueless Steven wasn't able to catch that.
"Heh, Rose said that her idea was inspired by me after learning that I was able to perfectly replicate the Human Digestive System with my Shapeshifting," Amethyst says with a teasing tone as she then turned to smirk at Pearl cockily. "I was even able to replicate a Human's Tastes Bud. That is something that not even Pearl is able to do." Amethyst says with a mocking tone as Pearl grumbled angrily.
"Oh, so that is why Pearl hates eating." Arthur thought to himself with a small hum, remembering him trying to share his lunch with Pearl a while back and she reacted as if he killed Steven.
"Whee! Whee! Whee!" Blue cheered while waving her hands around with a giggle just as the Gang arrived at the base of a long stairway as a sweating and huffing Steven turned to the Crystal Gems.
"Phew, there sure are a lot of stairs. Hey, since Saurus is giving Blue a piggyback ride, how about you guys form into Opal and give me a piggyback ride as well?"
"No!" An annoyed Pearl and Amethyst screamed in unison just as a nearby bush begins to rustle as, immediately, the Crystal Gems summoned their weapons while Saurus transformed into his Full Dinosaur Form as they were all about to go and fight the unknown menace...only to pause a bit as they spotted a Male Mountain Goat walking out of the bush as he was eating a thicket.
"Oh, no! Look out! It's a Magical Goat Guardian! Quick, you guys have to form Opal! It's the only way to defeat it! Hurry before it kills us all!" Steven screamed overdramatically while pretending to cower in fear as Saurus looked amused, Blue stared at the Mountain Goat hungrily with drool coming out of her mouth, and Pearl, Amethyst, and Arthur gave Steven flat and irritated glares.
"Ugh, Steven, we only Fuse for deadly situations," Pearl says while walking up to the Mountain Goat as she pointed at him. "Does this look like a deadly situation-Ow!" Pearl says before yelping in pain as the Mountain Goat suddenly bites her hand. "Hey, bad Mountain Goat! Bad!" Pearl scolded as the Mountain Goat bleats in response, and Arthur chuckled while Amethyst starts laughing so hard that she falls over as Blue perked up and easily got out of the Baby Carrier as the black-haired girl landed on the ground.
"FOOD! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME!" Blue exclaimed after shifting into her Full Dinosaur Form as she tried to rush over and eat the Mountain Goat with Saurus not trying to stop her since a Mountain Goat can be a good meal to her, only for Steven to leap over to land in front of Blue as he held up his shield protectively.
"No! Bad, Blue! Bad! We don't eat innocent goats!" Steven shouted as a panting Blue ignored him and tried to get around his shield, but Steven was able to block her at each turn as he then got an idea and raised his shield as the Human/Gem Hybrid Child shrinks it down into the size of a frisbee. "Hey, Blue! Fetch!" Steven screamed while tossing away his shield as it flew through the air and, somehow, this excited Blue enough that she ignored her prey as the Human/Dinosaur Hybrid Child chased after the shield.
"Good thinking, Steven," Saurus complimented with a shrug, not surprised that Steven protected the goat as said person turned to smile at him.
"He, he, he, thanks...although, Opal would've been easily able to-,"
"No!" Pearl and Amethyst screamed with a harsh glare as Steven pouted in dismay.
"Darn it! Aw, I'm never going to get to see Opal!" A disappointed and saddened Steven yelled while dropping down to his knees with the wind blowing on his hair as Arthur turned to him.
"We will see Opal one day, Steven, you just just gotta be patient-,"

Pearl and Amethyst can be seen climbing up a tall mountain as Pink Diamond's Pearl decided to kick her feet upwards, intentionally kicking some rubble into Amethyst's face, covering her hair with dirt and pebbles as she glared up at an innocently smiling Pearl in annoyance and Saurus and Arthur, who were climbing above them, spotted what just happened as the Human/Gem Teenage Hybrid sighed heavily while the Human/Dinosaur Teenager rolled his eyes with a scoff while a panicking Steven could be seen running around in his bubble with the Mountain Goat at the top of the mountain as they were running away from a hungry and giggling Blue, who had transformed into her Full Dinosaur Form.

Arriving at a large and gushing waterfall, Pearl can be seen daintily jumping across the rocks on the water to get to the other side of the river, but she then yelped in surprise when a roaring Purple Crocodile suddenly popped out of the water, startling her enough that she fell off from the rock path and crashed down into the river, getting herself drenched as Amethyst shapeshifted back into her Default Form and laughed at her mockingly as Arthur laughed amusedly while Saurus growled angrily, but didn't say anything about it as the Boys and Blue were skipping across the rocks on all fours with the Mountain Goat following after them as a smirking Steven merely shapeshifted himself into a Pink Seagull to fly past the river altogether.

Walking through a long wooden bridge, Amethyst, Steven, and Blue shared a playful grin as they all began jumping up and down, causing the bridge to wobble a bit as a yelping Saurus nearly fell off the bridge, but Pearl and Arthur were able to quickly use their shapeshifting powers to stretch out their arms and latched onto Saurus as the Duo pulled him in and sighed in relief before Pearl grows angry as she turned over to glare at Amethyst.

Running over to Steven and the others, Pearl began furiously berating Amethyst for nearly endangering all of their lives as said person began arguing back with her, and an upset Steven and a frowning Arthur reached over to grab their friends and quickly pulled Pearl and Amethyst into a tight hug, much to their discomfort as they shared uncomfortable looks with each other as Blue slowly crawled over on all fours towards the Mountain Goat to try and eat him, only to be stopped by Saurus as he stood in front of her with a stern glare on his face as Blue growled angrily with her body gaining blue scales and Saurus growled back while growing his green scales as they shared a tense staring contest with each other.

"We're here," Pearl says with a serious glare as we see the Gang eventually reaching a broken pass leading to a spiraling passage of the Sky Spire, and the Mountain Goat suddenly bleats loudly as he leaps off from the ground and began hopping across several pieces of floating platforms onto the other side as Blue licks her lips and transformed into her Full Dinosaur Form as she began leaping after it.
"Wait up, Steven Jr.!/Blue, get back here!" Steven and Saurus yelled in unison as they were about to jump off but were both halted by a worried Pearl.
"Wait, Boys! I'm not sure you two can make those jumps...well, obviously, Saurus and Arthur can, but not you, Steven!" Pearl screamed as Steven pouted...but then perked up as an idea popped into his head.
"Oh, you guys should Fuse into Opal, and then lay across the rocks like a bridge or pick us up and jump us towards the Sky Spire."
"...Huh...that actually sounds like a good idea," Saurus says with a nod as, while Pearl and Amethyst don't really need to Fuse right now, Steven's Idea was pretty valid...although, like him, Saurus REALLY wanted to see Opal right now.
"We don't need Opal to get across," Pearl says with a scoff as Arthur and Amethyst nod in agreement before the former gains a genius idea as she turned to the Boys.
"Yeah, we don't need Opal because I can easily get us across the passageway," Amethyst says reassuringly while walking over to grab Saurus, Steven, and Arthur by their arms. "Check it out, boys," Amethyst says with her Gemstone glowing a bright purple as she raised her left leg and have it stretched across the whole passageway until it was able to touch down on the other side of the passageway and, much to the Boys' shock, Amethyst outright launched them up into the air as they flew over to land on the entrance of the Sky Spire with Blue and Steven Jr. jumping over to land beside them as Amethyst shrunk her left leg back to its usual size. "Ta-da!"
"Oh wow, Amethyst, that was a really good idea." A smiling Steven says after recovering from what Amethyst did as said person gave him a cocky smirk and crossed her arms.
"Hah, I know, I'm full of 'em."
"Are you crazy?!" An angry Arthur asked as a huffing and furious Saurus nodded in agreement while clenching his fists.
"Yeah, we could've died because of that!" Saurus screamed with Pearl reacting in intense concern in the background as Steven gave his friends a reassuring smile.
"Ah, come on, guys. Amethyst got us to the other side of the passageway without us getting killed, so I say that was a very great ideaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Steven says before suddenly screaming loudly as the ground underneath him cracked violently and broke apart as he fell down from the entrance of the Sky Spire and Saurus, Blue, and Arthur gasped in shock/worry as Amethyst and Pearl flinched in surprise/horror before turning to share a serious look as they nodded.
"We're coming, Steven!" Amethyst exclaimed while jumping off from the cliff as she fell down through the air just as Pearl jumped off from the other cliff as well as she swiftly shapeshifted herself into a Giant White Eagle, and a grunting Amethyst summoned two whips as she proceeded to flung one of her whips and it flew down to wrap itself around a falling Steven's waist before Amethyst flung her other whip up into the air as Pearl flew down to latch onto it with her talons and swiftly flew them up into the air as she was able to fly them up to safety and everyone landed down on the entrance of the Sky Spire as Amethyst De-Summoned her Weapons while Pearl shapeshifted herself back to her Default Form.
"Are you okay?" Saurus asked anxiously while he and Arthur walked over to bend down to check on Steven as said boy panted a bit but surprisingly recovered quickly from his near fall to death as the Human/Gem Hybrid Child then turned over to the Crystal Gems.
"T-That...That was scary...but you guys working together to save me was amazing! You guys make a good team with each other! Why don't you do that all the time?!" An incredulous Steven asked as Pearl and Amethyst glanced at each other briefly as they then look away stubbornly.
"I have some ideas..." Arthur stated with a dry tone while rolling his eyes as Saurus shakes his head with a small glare on his face as Blue, who had earlier transformed back into her Human Form, can be seen licking Steven Jr.'s back to taste him for dinner.
"I...can't...feel...my...legs...anymore..." A panting and sweating Steven says as we see the Gang climbing up the spiraling passage and finally arrived atop the Sky Spire as they then spotted a small temple placed in front of them. "Hey, look at that!" An excited Steven says while running over to inspect the small temple as an eager Blue and Steven Jr. ran over to stand next to him."It's a tiny temple!"
"Didn't you say that you can't feel your legs earlier?" A disbelieving Arthur asked as Saurus shrugged while they and Pearl walked over to the Kids.
"One thing that I learned from Steven is that he tends to be overdramatic," Saurus says dryly, remembering when Steven stubbed his toe one day and cried for hours.
"Alright, Garnet said that this is where the Heaven Beetle should be," Pearl says as the Gang peers inside of the temple.
"Whoa, check it out, it's even got a little beetle bedroom, and little beetle bongos, and a little beetle baby book."
"Damn, the Heaven Beetle has a better setup than we do." An annoyed Saurus as Arthur raised an incredulous eyebrow.
"Wait, how did the Heaven Beetle get all of this stuff anyway?" A bewildered Arthur asked as Pearl ignored him and peered into the temple as she was shocked to see how empty it was.
"Forget that, where's the Heaven Beetle? It's supposed to be here. The Heaven Beetle wouldn't leave, would it?"
"Heaven...Beetle...go bye-bye." Blue grunted out while waving her hand around as Pearl would've found this adorable if she currently wasn't freaking out right now.
"Oh, no! The Heaven Beetle left! It could be anywhere!"
"Yeah, maybe you should freak out some more, that's really gonna help us find it," Amethyst says sarcastically while leaning against a wall as an irritated Arthur turned to her.
"You know what's not helping? You starting shit for no reason."
"Grrr, I can't believe your attitude, Amethyst, And now you're just slouching over here doing nothing," Pearl says while walking over to glare at Amethyst, who glared back at her as she growled.
"Hey, it's not my fault the Heaven Beetle isn't there! Why do you have to make things worse by squawking at me?!" Amethyst asked as Steven looks worried, Saurus facepalmed with a loud angered groan, and Arthur shakes his head in disbelief as Blue, for the first time this day, actually frowned and whimpered as she crouched down into the ground and held her head with tears in her eyes, getting some unpleasant memories that she doesn't remember but feels familiar as Saurus spots this and quickly walked over to bend down to pull her into a comforting hug as Steven Jr. starts bleating in distress.
"I don't squawk!"
"Yeah, you're squawking at me and commenting on my posture!"
"This is squawking! SQUAWK, SQUAWK!"
"Hey, cut it out! You're scaring Steven Jr.!" Steven yelled while running over to stop their argument as Arthur pointed ahead.
"And your arguing is scaring Blue!" Arthur screamed while pointing over at Blue, who was being held in Saurus's arms as she cried in his chest and the black-haired teenager turned to glare at the Crystal Gems sternly as he was about to say something, but then the Crystal Gems gasped in shock/worry as a massive bird-like Corrupted Gem Fusion emerges from the lake surrounding the tiny temple and she has no visible eyes, a huge jagged beak that extends to her forehead with a pale yellow tongue underneath, brown feathers covering almost all of her body with purple plumage on her chest/belly, a pair of large broad wings, a comparatively small feathery tail, thin pale yellow, and a pair of stick-like legs as her name is Big Bird...no, really, that's her canon name.
"Shit!" Saurus shouted while gripping Blue tightly as he swiftly jumped out of the way and landed near the rest of the Crystal Gems just as the Big Bird bends her head down as the Corrupted Gem Fusion swallows Steven Jr. whole.
"MY SON!/MY DINNER!" Steven and Blue exclaimed with teary eyes, and their jaws dropped as Pearl swiftly summoned her spear and hurls it at Big Bird, but instead of stabbing her body, she ended up swallowing the spear as Big Bird squawked loudly, and the Crystal Gems quickly turned around to retreat back into the spiraling passage.
"It swallowed my spear!" Pearl screamed in shock as, after placing Blue down on the ground, Saurus turned to her with a blank frown on his face.
"Don't you have an infinite amount of those, though?"
"Honestly, the only real question is WHY that Big Bird ate Steven Jr. and Pearl's spear? Gems don't need to eat." Arthur says while placing his hand on his chin curiously as a starry-eyed Steven turned to Pearl and Amethyst.
"Guys this is great! Now's the perfect time for you two to form Opal!" Steven yelled excitedly as Steven and Arthur turned to give the Crystal Gems a serious glare as they shared a look and nodded as Big Bird begins pecking at the roof of the passage.
Walking over to stand near the entrance of the spiraling passageway, the Boys and Blue watched on as Pearl and Amethyst bowed to each other with their Gemstones glowing a bright white/purple as Pink Diamond's Pearl then twirled around to strike a ballerina pose with her eyes closed as she peeked one eye open to see the Kindergarten Earth-Made Gem dancing around before whirling around to start twerking while pulling back her white hair as she winked at Pearl, who growled irritably as she twirled forward reluctantly with Amethyst doing the electric slide as she then stretched her hand out to grab Pearl's arm and pulled her forward to try and dip her, only for her to accidentally kick Amethyst's face as a grunting Pearl slammed her head down onto the ground.
"Oof, that has to hurt," Arthur says with a wince just as Pearl and Amethyst's Gemstones glowed brightly as their bodies turned into pure white light, and the Duo began trying to fuse with each other, only for the ball of white light to warble around uncontrollably before the white light formed back into Pearl and Amethyst as they were sent flying back and crashed down into the ground as they groan in pain.
"So, you wanna try that again?! With less hitting me in the face this time!?" A growling Amethyst asked while getting up from the ground as a glaring Pearl did the same.
"Well, it would have worked if your movements weren't so erotic and formless!"
"So, it's all my fault?!" Amethyst asked with a glare while walking over to Pearl. "Ho-ho, you totally weren't even trying to sync with my dancing! You should know how I dance by now!"
"Why would I want to dance like a shameless slut in front of the Kids?!"
"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME!?" An aggressive Amethyst asked while shapeshifting herself into Purple Puma as she reached over to grab Pearl by the front of her shirt and lifted her up into the air as Amethyst proceeded to slam her into the wall with Pearl summoning her Spear as they were about to fight each other, but then-
"CAN YOU TWO FUCKING IDIOTS STOP ARGUING LIKE GODDAMN CHILDREN AND GET CONTROL OF YOURSELVES FOR FUCK'S SAKE?!" An angry Saurus exclaimed with his body growing green scales as Blue whimpered and ran over to a corner to cup her hands around her ears as a worried Steven went over to try and comfort the Human/Dinosaur Child Hybrid.
"Seriously, you two are equally to blame for your unsuccessful Fusion, and fighting about it is NOT going to solve anything! Don't you remember that we have an enemy to deal with?!" Arthur asked while pointing outside as Amethyst, who shapeshifted back into her Default Form and placed Pearl down on the ground as they shared awkward/guilty looks.
"Yeah, can you guys please stop fighting? You're upsetting Blue." Steven says while patting Blue's head as he then turned to give them a teary frown. "Besides, if you can't get along with each other, we might never get to see your awesome Fusion powers, and we might get eaten by a giant bird!" Steven shouted just as the Big Bird breaks through the roof of their hiding spot, and she proceeds to swallow Steven and Blue whole.
"STEVEN!/BLUE!" The Crystal Gems screamed in horror and shock as a furious Saurus then turned to Pearl and Amethyst while swiftly morphing into his Full Dinosaur Form.
"OPAL! FUSE! NOW!" Saurus ordered with Arthur summoning his spiked gauntlets as Pearl and Amethyst nodded stoically as they bowed to each other with their Gemstones glowing a bright white/purple as Pearl and Amethyst began dancing around before Rose's One-Sided Lover ran over to leap into the Overcooked Amethyst Quartz Soldier's arms as she raised her up into the air and their Gemstones glowed brightly as their bodies turned into pure white light and Pearl and Amethyst proceeds to fuse with each other as a big ball of white light started forming and growing in size as Saurus and Arthur couldn't help but watch on pure shock and awe.
"Whoa!" Steven and Blue yelped in surprise as they fall down into the innards of Big Bird's body and saw that the whole place resembled the inside of a human's stomach as it was littered with various junk and skeletons.
"Okay, maybe Arthur does have a point. I thought Gems didn't have organs or anything like that. Is this Corrupted Gem Monster like me? Half-organic or something?" Steven asked curiously as he and Blue got up from the floor as they looked around and spotted Steven Jr. eating something while lying on top of a pile of junk, unharmed.
"Dinner!" An excited Blue yelled, perking up as Steven gasped sharply.
"Steven Jr.! How can you eat at a time like this?!" Steven asked incredulously before his eyes widened in shock as he spotted the Heaven Beetle in Steven Jr.'s mouth with the Corrupted Crystal Gem resembling a Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle as her femurs are light-green, and the lower half of her legs are pine-green as her body is mostly yellow but is topped with a turquoise-colored gemstone surrounded by a white clover-shaped marking as the Heaven Beetle also has a white horn with white antlers and light green pupilless eyes.
"Hey, is that the Heaven Beetle?! Good catch, Steven Jr.!" A happy Steven says while reaching over to snatch away the Heaven Beetle as Steven Jr. bleats happily but then bleats in fear as Blue grinned widely and licked her lips as she transforms into her Full Dinosaur Form and rushed over to try and eat him, only to be stopped by Steven as he stood in front of her and summoned his Shield as the Human/Gem Hybrid Child glared at the Human/Dinosaur Child Hybrid angrily. "Blue! No! I've had enough of this! Steven Jr. is family! We don't eat family!" Steven screamed sternly as Blue stopped in her tracks, and her eyes went wide as she tilted her head confusedly.
"F-Family?"
"Yes, family! We don't eat family!" Steven yelled as Blue looked down in deep thought before she and the others yelped in surprise as a loud rumbling rang out, causing the junk pile to collapse as Steven and the others fall off it as they crashed down into the ground just as several giant arms started penetrating from the ground, frightening Steven and Steven Jr. as Blue growled angrily.
"No! Blue must protect pack! No one hurts Blue's pack!" A glaring Blue screamed while standing in front of Steven and Steven Jr. protectively as more giant hands appeared and Steven reflexively summoned his Bubble Shield around him and his son as Blue was about to try and attack the giant hands, but then the Trio flinched in surprise as a roaring Saurus and Arthur were able to burst through the Big Bird's body as they landed on the ground.
"SAURUS!/ARTHUR!/BIG BROTHER!" Steven and Blue exclaimed in unison as the Boys spotted them and perked up as Arthur glanced down through the exposed ripped hole.
"Opal! They are right here!" Arthur yelled as Saurus then turned over to the Trio.
"Steven! Bubble us now!" Saurus screamed while he and Arthur ran over to the Trio as Steven nodded and spread out his arms as he was able to open up a large hole in his pink bubble, and Saurus, Arthur, and Blue quickly made their way to enter the Bubble Shield with the Hybrid Experiments morphing back into their Human Forms as a giant hand reached over to grab the Bubble Shield and yanked them out of the Big Bird's body as the giant arms seem to belong to a Giant Mysterious Woman, who jumped backwards as she landed down into the ground into the lake below safely.
The Giant Mysterious Woman is really a 15-feet-tall Fusion of Pearl and Amethyst with a thing and rounded face as she has baby blue eyes with dark blue pupils, thick wavy off-white hair that was tied up into a rowdy ponytail by a pale salmon band as it reaches down to her calves with chin-length bangs extending from off the ponytail's sides as they were tied up into two small pigtails in the front by pale yellow ties, two Opal Gemstones located on her forehead/chest, a big pointed nose, plump lips, a sharp chin, E-Cup Breasts, two pairs of long slender five-fingered arms, Periwinkle Skin, a very tall lean toned body, hartman hips, a big thick bubble butt, and her outfit consists of a strapless pastel teal top with a drape in the front and back that went down to her shins as they featured an accented star at the bases, fuchsia knee-length leggings with pale-violet rolled-up cuffs, and a pair of yellow flat boots. Her name is Opal, a Fusion of Pearl and Amethyst and the most Underrated Fusion ever.
"O-Opal?!" A shocked Steven asked while popping his bubble as he and Saurus landed on Opal's lower left arm as Blue and Arthur landed on Opal's lower right arm as the Fusion reached over to grab Steven Jr. and bends down to place him down on the ground safely as the scared Mountain Goat ran off.
"Hey, Steven," Opal says with a smile while placing the Kids down on the ground as she and the others then noticed Big Bird squeaking down at them angrily with Opal narrowing her eyes stoically as her four arms reached up to her Gemstones and pulled out Two of Pearl's Spear and Two of Amethyst's Whip as the Fusion held each weapon in all of her hands. "Kids, it's time for action." Opal says with a calm tone as the Kids nodded, and Saurus and Blue transformed back into their Full Dinosaur Forms while Steven and Arthur summoned their Shield and Spiked Gauntlets.
Crouching down into the ground, a purple fiery aura covered Opal's body as she proceeds to fiery spin dash up to collide against Big Bird's body, sending her flying back as Opal uncurled herself and flung her whips forward as they flew over to wrap themselves around the Corrupted Gem's body and the Fusion pulled herself forward as she proceeds to slash her body with her spears and an angry Big Bird glared over at her as she was about to try and attack her, only for Steven's Shield to fly over and collide against her head as it dissipated shortly afterwards.
Yelping in surprise, Big Bird then glanced down to see Steven in a throwing position as she squawked angrily and flew down towards him to try and eat the Human/Gem Child Hybrid, only for a roaring Saurus to rush over to tackle the Corrupted Gem Monster into the ground as he then reached over to grab her legs and started twirling her around rapidly before tossing her up high into the air with his Superhuman Strength as Arthur raised his spiked gauntlets and fired them as projectiles as they flew through the air and attached themselves into Big Bird's body as the Human/Gem Adult Hybrid mentally commanded his Gem Weapons to fly her downwards and Blue ran forward at high speeds as she then crouched down and jumped up high into the air as Blue slammed her tail up Big Bird's stomach and sends her flying up high into the air.
Flying through the air uncontrollably, Big Bird headed straight towards Opal as said Fusion joined her Gem Weapons together and fused them into two small periwinkle opalescent recurve bows as she held them in her upper arms while her lower arms pulled back on her bowstrings as she created two white light energy arrows and fired them as they flew down through the air and collided against Big Bird's body as it formed into a giant light-based cage that sparkled with white electricity as the Corrupted Gem Monster screamed in pain and agony before the light-based energy cage dissipated as she falls down through the air and crashed down into the ground as the water and sand splashed about.
Groaning in pain, Big Bird tried to sit up from the ground but was stopped by Steven as he summoned his Bubble Shield, and Arthur ran over to whack him away with his spiked gauntlets as he flew through the air and collided against Big Bird's face as he was sent flying upwards and Steven De-Summoned his Bubble Shield before summoning his Shield as he threw it downwards and it collided against the top of Big Bird's face, disorienting her long enough for Saurus and Blue to rush over to deliver dual powerful uppercuts that send the Corrupted Gem Monster flying up into the air.
Narrowing her eyes, Opal then De-Summoned her Weapons as a fiery purple aura covered her body and spin dash downwards to collide down against Big Bird while manipulating the sand underneath her to mix with her fiery purple aura to create a giant glass sword that stabbed through the Corrupted Gem Monster's body as Opal jumped up into the air and twirled around to land beside the Kids as the Fusion and the others spotted Big Bird's body slowly De-Fusing herself, revealing several Gem Shards as they swiftly transformed into Smaller Versions of the Big Bird Corrupted Gem Monster.
Reacting quickly, Opal bends down to grab Blue and the boys with her lower arms while her upper arms reached up to pull out Two of Amethyst's whips as she proceeds to tie the Kids close to her chest with the whips wrapping themselves around her body in an 'X' formation as, once the Fusion made sure that her Comrades are safe and secure, Opal then used her upper arms to reach upwards to pull out Two of Pearl's spears and used her shapeshifting powers to stretch her limbs around as Opal began doing a backflip cartwheel with the Horde of Big Bird Monsters following after her as, unknown to them, Opal can be seen mentally commanding a large stream of sand to follow after them.
Stretching her limbs back into their normal size, Opal then landed down on the spiraling passage, and the Fusion began sliding down it while twirling her spears around to whack away any Big Bird Monsters that flew too close to her as she reached the end of the spiraling passageway and quickly covered herself in a fiery purple aura just as the stream of sand was able to reach her as it flew down to impact against her body and the Fusion of Pearl and Amethyst created a huge pillar of glass that propelled her up into the air as the Big Bird Monsters appeared and accidentally collided against the glass pillar due to flying in too fast as Opal proceeds to jump off and swiftly shattered the pillar of glass into billion pieces as the Big Bird Monsters were sent flying away.
Blue and the Boys exclaimed in shock/fear/excitement as they all flew through the air with Opal raising her four arms as she used her shapeshifting powers to fuse her arms together and formed them into a giant glider as the Fusion glided through the air and was able to easily clear the broken pass as the Gang arrived back on the clearing landed down on the ground with Opal bending down to the floor as she mentally De-Summoned her Gem Weapons and a yelping Saurus, Arthur, Steven, and Blue fall down to land on the ground with a couple of soft grunts.
"Stay low," Opal warned gently while shapeshifting her hands back to normal as she then walked forward and raised her right upper arm to pull out Pearl's Spear while raising her left lower arm to pull out Amethyst's Whip as Opal then joined her Gem Weapons together and fused them into her large periwinkle opalescent recurve bow that was just as tall as her as Opal grabbed her Energy Bow with her upper arms while using her lower arms to pull back on her bowstrings as she created a giant white light energy arrow and a white energy fierce aura covered her body.
"..." The Gang were unable to say anything but stare at Opal in deep awe and amazement with Saurus and Blue morphing back into their Human Forms while Steven and Arthur De-Summoned their Gem Weapons as all of them trembled in excitement and felt a little weak in the knees as the Group reached out to hold each other's hands to support each other and watched on as the Big Bird Gem Monsters recovered from Opal's earlier attack and flew straight towards them just as the Fusion fired her energy projectile as it flies through the air and collided against the flock of Big Bird Gem Monsters as the light-based white energy arrow blow up into a billion pieces and swiftly destroys all of the Big Bird Gem Monsters, turning them back into Gem Shards as Opal proceeds to bubbles every single one of them and warped them back to the Crystal Temple.
"...I love Fusions..." A starry-eyed Saurus says with a quivering awestruck tone as he falls backwards onto the ground and trembled in excitement as Blue giggles and growled happily as she popped out her blue scaly dinosaur tail and wagged it around gleefully as Steven and Arthur continued staring at Opal in pure wonderment as said person walked over to them and bends down to her knees as she smiled at them warmly.
"Uh...do you...know who we are?" Steven asked nervously, knowing what Pearl said earlier but wanting to be 100% sure as Opal was briefly confused by what she said before grinning slyly as she giggled goofily.
"All you wanna do, is see me turn into-,"
"A giant woman!" A gasping Steven says with a big wide smile on his face as Arthur smirked and chuckled as he then went over to check on a stunned Saurus. An hour later, we see the Crystal Gems warping back to the Temple Beach House late at night and spotted Garnet standing near the kitchen with a small box placed on the kitchen counter as she was drying her steaming hair with a bath towel. "We're back!"
"The Heaven Beetle?" Garnet asked bluntly as Opal, who had her eyes closed and her hands on her hips, went wide-eyed in shock and worry as a big sweatdrop appeared on his head.
"...I...don't have it!" Opal screamed while gripping her hair panickedly with her Opal Gemstones glowing brightly as her body turned into pure white light, and the Girls proceeded to de-fuse with each other as the pure white light swiftly formed back into Pearl and Amethyst as they were sent flying away and crashed down into the ground with a couple of pained groans.
"Amethyst! You got distracted with your unnecessary shapeshifting!"
"Hey! You were the one getting carried away with all those fancy backflips!"
"Welp, it was nice while it lasted," Arthur says dryly with Saurus nodding in agreement while having Blue ride around in her baby carrier as Steven perked up.
"Wait a sec!" Steven yelled while reaching into his pocket to pull out the Heaven Beetle. "I've got the beetle!"
"Good job, Steven." Garnet congratulated while walking over to take away the Heaven Beetle from Steven's grip as she places the Tiny Corrupted Gem inside of a small terrarium with the Earth Beetle, which resembled that of a Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle as her femurs are black, and the lower half of her legs are black as her body is mostly a lightish-gray, but has a pale green gemstone on the top center of her body which is surrounded by a clover shape that is dark gray as the Corrupted Gem Monster also has a black horn, black eyes, and black antlers. "You too, Saurus, and Arthur. I see that you helped your teammates fuse." Garnet says with a small smile on her face as Amethyst and Pearl stare in surprise at each other.
"And all I had to do was get eaten by a bird," Steven says while standing proudly.
"And all we have to do is to have Pearl and Amethyst stop acting like children and work together." Saurus and Arthur said in unison with smirks on their faces.
"Nice work, you and Arthur would be great at fusing one day, especially if its with Saurus too."
"Yeah...WAIT! ARTHUR AND I CAN FUSE?! AND WE CAN POTENTIALLY FUSE WITH SAURUS TOO!?" A shocked and excited Steven asked with starry eyes as an amused Arthur turned to him.
"Hey, Steven, I'm sure that you will be great at Fusion. I bet that you can't wait to fuse with Connie, huh?" Arthur asked with a grin, knowing about her due to Steven talking about her a lot as he could tell that his Friend has a crush on Connie.
"ARTHUR!" A blushing Steven yelled as Saurus laughed.
"Hey, Saurus, good news, Jenny stopped by and dropped off her old clothes for Blue," Garnet says while pointing over at the box as Saurus perked up and nodded as he ran over to the box on the kitchen counter and grabbed it as the Human/Dinosaur Hybrids then made their way over to enter the bathroom and, while they were doing that a sneaky Arthur went over to scan the Heaven and Earth Beetles with his black gemstone before stepping back discreetly just as Garnet bubbled the terrarium and warped it away.
After spending the next twenty minutes forcing a fussy Blue to put on her new clothes, the Human/Dinosaur Hybrids then made their way out of the bathroom as Blue can be seen wearing a blue bow on her head, a long-sleeved baggy black shirt with multiple yellow stars on them, a black belt with a silver belt buckle, long ripped stretchable jean pants, and a pair of black sandals.
"What do you guys think?" Saurus asked while gesturing at Blue, who held out her arms with a beaming smile on her face.
"Nice."
"Very stylish."
"Pretty cute."
"Awesome."
"Cool." Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, Steven, and Arthur said in unison as Saurus nodded before turning back to Blue.
"Alright, Blue, now, I know that it's pretty late, but let's go back on trying to help you recover your memories and-Oof!" Saurus says before yelping in surprise as Blue swiftly transforms into her Full Dinosaur Form and ran forward as she burst through the doors of the Temple Beach House and began making her way towards Beach City while letting out several excited growls as Saurus sighed heavily and facepalmed with the others laughing loudly as, unknown to them, a drone can be seen spying on them from outside of the house, and it then turned around to fly away to return back to its owners.
And done. I hope you guys enjoyed the new chapter, and I can't wait to write the next chapter. Also, as you can clearly tell from this chapter, I fucking love the concept of Fusion in Steven Universe. It's so freaking good, but I will say I'm disappointed that Fusions like Opal and Sugilite barely appear in the show, except for cameos. I mean, I know that they can't afford Sugilite's Voice Actor, but just...get another one. We won't care if she has a different voice. We just want to see more of Sugilite.
Plus, I'm so annoyed by the Crystal Gem's Rule on Fusions. I know that it's practically non-existent by the later seasons, but I just don't understand their reasoning. There are literally multiple episodes where Fusions can be proven useful, and yet they never fuse, even if it's a deadly situation. Seriously, the first time that Jasper, Peridot, and Lapis arrived on Earth in Return, Sugilite could've been extremely useful to take not only them down but Peridot's Spaceship as well. Who cares about safety and keeping things under control when Homeworld Gems show up in your crib? It's why I will have the Crystal Gems fuse more often in deadly situations.
Also, this might be random, but since I love Fusions so much and this is the debut of the concept of Fusions, I decided why not to show my top fifteen favorite fusions in the series and explain why I love each and every one of them. Here there are:
1) Steven Universe (He is a Fusion of a Human and a Gem, after all. I fucking love Steven. Even if he is a bit of a hypocrite sometimes, and I'm so annoyed with his pacifism, Steven is still a great protagonist and character. Steven is the heart of the show)
2) Garnet (Self-explanatory on why I love her)
3) Stevonnie (Godamn, this Fusion is a pure legend. One of the greats. I mean, she defeated Jasper and one of her Corrupted Gem Beasts with ease. Why wasn't she used more in battles again?!)
4) Sardonyx (Easily the funniest and most elegant Fusion ever)
5) Smoky Quartz (A quirky, fun-loving fusion with one of the best and most versatile Fused Gem Weapons ever)
6) The Cluster (Forced Fusion, I know, but damn, I fucking love the Cluster, man. Especially when he comes in clutch against the Diamonds and Kaiju Steven)
7) Sugilite (An awesome underused Fusion that deserves more screentime)
8) Opal (Same as above)
9) Obsidian (Fucking coolest Fusion ever. If she had literally more than one screentime, she will be placed higher on my list)
10) Malachite (The best showing of a Toxic Fusion Relationship, and she almost beat Alexandrite, she is fucking strong as hell)
11) Alexandrite (Unpopular opinion, but I do love this fusion. I just wished that she doesn't receive so many losses. She was literally de-fused at one point by Kaiju Corrupted Steven slamming her against a mountain. Like, come on...)
12) Rainbow Quartz 2.0 (If this Fusion has more screentime, they will be just as famous and beloved as Sardonyx. Let's be real here)
13) Steg (Design can use a little bit more work, but damn, this is still a cool fusion, not gonna lie, and people need to stop saying that this Fusion is Incest. Gem Fusions isn't JUST about sex, but also different relationships like with family, friends, etc. The show stated this fact like a billion times by now)
14) Mega Pearl (A pretty cool fusion)
15) Sunstone (...Eh, I felt like this one was a huge disappointment, both design and power-wise. Their personality is admittedly pretty cool, though. I just can't take them seriously with their design and lame Fused Gem Weapon)
