Episode 6 - Sucky Outdoors

Authors Notes

Wow, this week was crazy. I apologize for another late upload, we should be back on schedule for this next upcoming episode. It's crazy that we are nearly 1/4th of the way through the first season! What I plan on doing is putting a poll on my page during the halfway point of the season, to see who you think will win from whoever is left in the competition. It'll be a fun way to see who you guys are rooting for. Anyways, the first survival challenge is here! A lot of these cast members do well in these types of challenges, which gives me a lot of material to work through.

Reviewers,

amit : I thought tyler warning Lindsay about Heather was a good way for them to grow closer, and for Lindsay to start really seeing Heather for who she is.

Shuffollower : Yeah she never does last, but for a good reason. Amy having to actually try and do stuff herself makes her much more dangerous than in canon, youll see where it leads her. I wanted to ground a lot more of these characters and their relationships, a lot of them felt so rushed and forced.

Gucci Mane LaFlare : Glad you liked the talents! Also im glad that the tyler and Lindsay thing is new, I hope more surprises come your way. Amy being more subtle will definitely change some outcomes.

Zeke the Prophet : Yeah Sugar getting bounced here isnt too original, so I wanted to change up how she got eliminated. You'lll have to find out who ends up being the bigger threat this season. Ella felt like she was used for nothing but some "development" for Dave and some others, so I actually want to have her do more. Tyler warning Lindsay was a good way to move some more plot along as well. Also yes, he does have his sexism problem, it just hasnt really been needed yet.

millikan : You'll have to wait and see how Amy is used :)

romeoaifesili : You're a pretty good guesser hahah im impressed! You should be a detective.

Now with your guys' reviews finished, let's start Chapter 6!

Teams

Killer Bass: Mike, Jo, DJ, Zoey, Ezekiel, Amy, Brick, Dave

Screaming Gophers: Geoff, Duncan, Heather, Jasmine, Courtney, Tyler, B, Dawn, Lindsay, Ella

(Start Episode)

"Last time on Total Drama Island," Chris began recapping as the series tune starts to play, "our campers had a talent contest, and it was awesome!" The logos clashing was shown on screen and the six contestants preparing backstage followed. "Ella showed off her mad singing skills, while Brick taught us that maybe not all talents are made equal." The shot of the spotlight slamming into Brick's head came up, and Ella was shown raising her hands as she finished her song. "But it was a sneaky scheme between Heather and Sugar that ultimately brought upon the Killer Bass losing again, and Sugar getting the boot." The host laughs as Lindsay runs off with the ribbon, and Sugar is seen dancing to her craptry. The shot flashes and we see Chris standing in front of the main lodge. "Will the Killer Bass ever win another challenge? And will Ezekiel actually do something this episode? Find out right now on Total, Drama, Island!"

(Fade to Intro)

Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine

You guys are on my mind

You asked me what I wanted to be

And now I think the answer is plain to see

I wanna be famous

I wanna live close to the sun

Well pack your bags cause I've already won

Everything to prove nothing in my way

I'll get there one day

Cause I wanna be famous

(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

The camera fades back into the shot, and the sun can be seen rising high above the hills of Camp Wawanakwa. The camera pans down and we see the cast sitting in the campfire pit area with Chris facing towards the teens, about to address them. "Campers, today's challenge will test your outdoor survival skills." the host says as the camera zooms out to show the eighteen remaining campers. "I'm not gonna lie to you," he continues, "some of you might not come back alive." The campers gasp after hearing they might have to do something so dangerous.

"I'm kidding!" the host chuckles with his hands raised up defensively. "All you have to do is spend one night in the woods. Everything you'll need is at your team's campsite in the forest, you just have to find it." Chris finishes while grabbing two maps and two compasses from a bag and tossing them at both teams. The first map and compass land in the hands of Jo, while the second map and compass land at Tyler's feet. "Oh, and two quick things. First, watch out for bears. I lost a couple of interns in pre-production." the host voices over as Jasmine is seen walking up to Tyler and motions for him to hand her the items.

"Secondly, because the Bass keep sucking so bad, I decided to have two campers from each team switch." Tyler freezes while handing Jasmine the map after hearing the news, and the rest of the teens gasp after hearing such big news. The campers looked at each other nervously, wondering who would leave, and who would be their new teammate or teammates.

"Tyler and Dawn, from now on you will be a part of the Killer Bass team." the host says and the mystic smiles before turning towards her now rivals. "It was fun to meet you all. I'll look forward to seeing you soon." she finishes before walking over to her new team. Tyler looks back at Lindsay and gives her a sad smile before taking a deep breath and walking towards his new teammates. "Dave and DJ, you're now on the Screaming Gophers dudes." Dave and DJ give each other smiles before waving goodbye to the Bass and walking over to join their new teammates. "See you guys at the merge!" Dave calls out to his old team. He earns a glare from Duncan and Heather and smiles sheepishly.

"Now that's a way to shake things up!" Chris says as he watches the new teams gather together. "First team that makes it back for breakfast tomorrow wins invincibility." An airhorn is heard, and Chris can be seen holding one in his right hand. "Well, off you go!" he motions with his free hand towards the woods.

"So fresh meat, got any hints about who the biggest threat is on the other team?" Jo asks the newcomers. "Well, I don't really like talking about people behind their back, but Heather might be the one you'll need to keep an eye out for." Tyler says with a serious tone. "I don't trust her." Dawn nods in agreement before putting a hand on Tylers shoulder. "His crush is in an alliance with Heather, and is being tricked by her." the mystic announces to the group. Tyler blushes and looks away from the team nervously.

"Well, it looks like we have some good insider info! Let's use that to win this challenge!" Jo confidently told her new teammates as she started off in the direction of the woods. "Jo wait-" Brick sighs as he reaches his arm out after the jockette. "Welcome to the team you two. It's great to have you both." the boy salutes them and then quickly runs after Jo.

The shot changes and the Gophers can be seen walking down a path in the forest, Jasmine leading the charge with a big grin on her face.

"Finally, a challenge I can get behind!" she confidently confesses. "It's not that I don't trust my other teammates skills, I just trust my own more in nature. I mean I've slept in trees for fun!" the large teen folds her arms and smiles. "We're totally gonna win again."

"Guys this way! We'll be there soon if we cut through this brush!" Jasmine yells back to her team with a wave of her hand. Dave, DJ and the rest of the Gophers come into view, not far behind the Australian. "Girl really knows her stuff." DJ comments, Dave and Duncan nodding in agreement. "She's not doing anything that special. I learned all this as a CIT." Courtney huffs haughtily. "I think I should be in charge again, seeing as we won last time I was in charge." Duncan rolls his eyes at her comment but says nothing as they continue to follow Jasmine through the woods, and into the unknown.

The shot flashes back to the Bass as they continue to walk towards their campsite, the camera zooming in on Mike and Zoey. "Hey Zoey, how's it going?" the lanky teen asks the indie girl. "Oh hey Mike, I'm just kinda nervous for this challenge ya know?" she responds, holding her hands down as she walks. "Why's that? Are you not a survival type person?" Mike replies, swatting away some flies that swarmed him.

"It's not that, I'm just worried that I haven't done enough in the last couple of challenges to feel good about myself." she says as she puts her head down in shame. Mike puts a hand on her shoulder and she looks back at him with a surprised look. "Well then let's make it up today and lead our team to victory." Mike finishes giving Zoey a genuine smile, and Zoey returns it.

"Okay, Mike is so hot. He's also really smart, and so kind to everyone too!" Zoey sighs dreamily. "I never thought I would find a guy like that here. All the guys back home are hockey players or thugs who are so fake." She smiles and then gets a nervous look on her face. "I hope Mike isn't fake."

The shot focuses on a large oak tree and then pans down, revealing the Gophers approach their campsite. A tent, some sleeping bags, and kindling wood for a fire could be seen laying down next to the tree, and Jasmine faces her team. "Ok guys, I'm guessing that we'll have to forage for our own food so I'll need two other people to come with me."

"Ooh, ooh i wanna go!" Lindsay says raising her hand and jumping up to stand next to the towering teen. Heather gives her a glaring look but says nothing. "I guess I'll go too…" Dave says with a nervous look on his face, and Jasmine smiles at the two. "Alright, we'll go off and find some food for us to eat, you guys should start a fire and pitch the tent. It's gonna get dark soon." Jasmine says as Geoff gives her a thumbs up. With that, the three scavengers set off into the woods.

The camera flashes back and the Bass have finally made it to their campsite as well, and they seemed to have already pitched their tent and started a fire. The shot panned over the teens as they sat around the fire, looking bored or tired as they waited for nightfall. "Ugh, I'm like, so hungry. Go get us some food Tyler." Amy says to the jock who looks back at her with confusion. "Why me? I'm not good at finding food." he replies back.

"Well what can you do besides sitting here?" the mean twin huffs. Zoey puts a hand on Tylers shoulder before replying. "I'll go Amy, don't worry about being hungry for much longer!" she says as she pumps her fist. "I'd like to come too if that's ok." Mike says suddenly appearing behind Zoey. "S-sure why not?" the indie girl says, looking startled at the boys sudden appearance. They leave in the opposite direction they came in and Ezekiel gives Brick a worried look. "I hope they'll be alright, eh. Bears are no joke." the homeschooler says. Brick nods his head in agreement before adorning a smile. "They'll be alright, Zoey has some good instincts on her."

The shot flashes to show Mike and Zoey walking through the woods, some berries and assorted nuts in a basket that had been at their campsite. "So why did you audition to compete, Zoey?" Mike asks the indie girl who freezes in her tracks.

Zoey pulls at one of her pigtails. "Can you keep a secret for me Mike?" she softly whispers to the teen. "Of course I can. I'd do anything for you." He smiles as the camera cuts down to show him continuing to pick berries. "I want to make friends. I've never really had many people that I could call that back home, and I was hoping I'd find a few here." she nervously continues and starts to help Mike with a saddened expression.

"Wait, you've never had friends before? That's honestly really surprising." He smiles at her while she looks at him with a now hopeful expression. "R-really? Why's that surprising?" she replies, now fully concentrating on the spiky headed teen.

"Well I just mean with how smart and funny you are, how considerate you are, and with your awesome style, I'm just shocked you don't have any friends." Mike finishes, standing up to wipe off his brow. "You're like the coolest person I know."

Mike reaches out a hand to help Zoey up, and she takes his hand and pulls him into a hug. "Thank you Mike, that means a lot." she says, taking a few shaky breaths to calm her nerves. Mike blushes intensely but returns the hug.

Romantic music starts to slowly fade into the background while they continue to hug, and both look content with everything. Suddenly, they split apart with deep blushes across their faces, and both look away from each other. "W-well I think we should head back. We've got enough food for a while." Zoey says and Mike nods as they turn around and head back the way they came, unaware of the looming shadow following behind them as ominous music begins to play.

The shot changes to the Gophers team of scavengers, who were still on the hunt for their berries. "Oooh I can't wait to see what food we'll get. I love all the berries, they're so good for your pores." the blonde says with a dopey grin on her face. "Well, since you love berries so much, why don't you go grab some for us while me and Dave go get some fish?" Jasmine tells the girl. "I'd love to! Except, I don't know where the berries are at..." Lindsays frowns.

Jasmine laughs, putting both hands on her gut from laughing so much. "Lindsay, we're in the woods. If you go any direction, you'll see some edible berries." She takes out a fork and stabs it into a tree. "I'll mark this tree in case you get lost. If you do get lost, come back, take the fork out, and wait here. We'll come get you." Lindsay nods her head before taking off in search of some berries. "See you guys later!"

"Are you sure it's a good idea to let her go by herself?" Dave asks leaning down to look at some flowers. He sniffs them and some bees fly out and start chasing him. "Ahhhhhhhhh! Get these things away from me!" Dave yells as he runs with his arms out, looking behind him at the enclosing insects, not noticing the rapidly approaching tree.

Wham! Dave slams into the tree and falls over in a dazed heap, and Jasmine comes over to look down at the bruised boy. The camera cuts to a point of view from Dave, as Jasmine towers over the boy with a small smirk. "Guess she's not the only one I need to keep an eye on." she chuckles as Dave groans in pain.

The screen flashes and the camera focuses on Lindsay, who can be seen looking around with a confused expression on her face. "Where did Jayden say I could find berries again?" Distracted with her thoughts, she didn't notice a berry bush standing in her path until it was too late. She slams into the brush, and get covered in berry juice. "Ohhhh no! My hair's all sticky! This is a disaster!" Lindsay pouts.

She gets up and tries to wipe off what juice she could, before getting a wide-eyed look. "Wait, these are berries!" she exclaims, and starts to grab a few of the orange colored fruits. "They're so going to love these!" she smiles as she starts to pick as many as she could.

The camera flashes to the Bass' bonfire, and Jo and Brick can be seen standing around the bonfire, pacing around seemingly waiting for the two foragers to return. "They're taking a while to get back, the sun's starting to set, and if it gets too dark they won't be able to get back!." Brick says with a worried look on his face.

"Ahh can it cadet. I'm sure they're fine. Winning this challenge is more important." Jo says, crossing her arms and smirking. "But the suns going down! I should go check for them." he replies and starts to head off into the woods. "Friend, wait!" Brick stops before he could get any farther and turns around. Dawn is standing behind him with her arms folded behind her back.

"You should look for the tree with the fork in it. You'll find your teammates there." she cryptically tells him. Brick raises an eyebrow at Dawn. "Uhhh alright? Well I guess I'll look for the target area then." He says, not convinced but walks off in the same direction he started towards.

"How can you be so sure they'll be there, eh?" Ezekiel asks while approaching the mystic. "The universe sent me a message asking me to tell Brick about finding his lost friends in the woods. I simply just delivered it." Dawn tells the boy with a small smile, and goes to sit back down next to Tyler.

The camera flashes back to the Gophers campsite and the entire team is seen setting up the tent and prepping the fire for Jasmine's return. "So woman, what are you gonna cook for us when Jasmine gets back?" Duncan grins at a busy Courtney, who gives the delinquent a rude stare. "I hope you're not expecting me to actually respond to that." she angrily tells him. "Well, it's a bit late for that cause you just did." he smiles even wider. "Just keep working, Duncan." the Type-A roughly responds.

"Hey, who ordered the pepperoni pizza?" a voice says from off camera. A young white man with a beard, bandanna, blue jeans and a button up shirt can be seen holding a pizza box. A hand appears on the screen and motions towards the delivery boy. "It's for the camera crew." The camera cuts to Heather and Ella, who are tending to the fire, laying down the kindling and main logs."Are you kidding me?" Heather asks with wide life eyes. "Where is Lindsay? She should be back with some food by now."

"I'm more worried if she'll be alright in those woods. She doesn't seem to be the woodsy type." Ella says with a frown.

Heather looks back at the princess and gets a semi nervous look on face. "I'm sure she'll be back soon. The survivor girl is with her." she says as she lays down some more kindling.

"Ok, letting Lindsay go into the woods may not have been the best idea." she confesses with a slight frown on her face. "Jasmine is probably keeping her out of too much trouble, but I can't cover for her if she somehow blows it for us. I can't let too many people know I'm in an alliance." she puts a finger on her chin in questioning.

The shot cuts to a river flowing through a clearing in the woods. Zooming in on some trout, a hand suddenly plunges into the water, rapidly grabbing onto one of the trout's back fins, and rips it out of the water. "Nice, that's the last fish we'll need!" Jasmine confidently puts her hands on her hips and looks at Dave.

The boy can be seen wrapping a rope around the other fish the tall Australian had caught, and smiling after tying the last knot. "Nice work Dave! Now we just need to find Lindsay and we'll be set for the night." Jasmine calls out to Dave as he gives her a smile. "Where did you learn to do all this stuff?" He asks.

"Well I'm originally from Australia, so I used to go adventuring in the Outback with my parents. I learned a ton of skills with 'em." she proudly tells the boy as she picks up the rope and throws the fish behind her.

"That's cool! I've never really done anything like this before, so I figured it would be nice to learn more." Dave laughs awkwardly.

Ominous music starts to play, and a loud snapping sound and rustling bushes can be heard, and Jasmine immediately gets a serious look on her face. "Dave, we need to go, now."

She grabs the boy's arms and quickly runs off, Dave dragging behind her as she takes off. "What's going on?" he cries as he's being dragged. Jasmine looks back at Dave and frowns. "Bears." As they run off, the camera zooms in on the rustling bushes, and Brick pops out of the brush, looking around for his two missing teammates.

(Fade to Commercial)

The camera fades into a shot of Lindsay humming peacefully while she carries her haul of berries back the way she came. She moves some brush to the side and sees the tree with the fork in it, dawning a big smile. The blonde goes and sits down underneath the tree, glowing orange as the sun drops lower and lower. "I wonder what everyone else is doing to keep busy?" she wonders, looking around at the foliage surrounding her.

The scene changes once more and DJ can be seen walking back to the campground, cupping something in his hands. "Guys, look what I found while using the bathroom!" DJ uncovers his hands, and a small bunny with wide eyes can be seen sitting in the large boys palms. "Awww it's adorable!" Ella coos, coming up to the bunny and singing a short tune.

"I've never had rabbit stew before, but what the heck, why not?" Duncan says as he approaches the burly teen, who quickly covers him back up. "His name is Bunny, and he's my new friend!" he frowns and Duncan backs off. "Alright, I can respect a new pet." the delinquent says with a smirk.

The shot cuts back to Mike and Zoey walking back along the riverside as the sun continues to set, still unaware of the large shadowy presence behind them. "Zoey, do you ever get the feeling like something is watching us? Like someone besides the camera crew?" the spiky haired teen says as he nervously looks around. "Yeah, I totally do feel that way for some reason." she says as something rustles behind them, startling the two. They both turn around, and a large brown bear can be seen sniffing at their basket.

Both teens go wide-eyed, and slowly back away from the large mammal. The bear continues to sniff at the two, and stands up, narrowing its eyes at them. Panicking, Zoey delivers a swift kick to the bear in the privates, and the bear quickly recovers and roars. "RUN!" Mike yells while he grabs Zoeys hand and takes off back into the woods, the bear in hot pursuit.

The shot changes once again, and Jasmine can be seen swiftly running towards something, with Dave trailing right behind her. "Where are we going? Shouldn't we go back to camp?" he calls out to Jasmine who shakes her head. "We have to grab Lindsay first! She's all alone and could be in trouble!"

Just as she finishes her sentence, the camera rapidly pans and the fork can be seen, still embedded into the tree. Underneath the fork is Lindsay, who turns as she sees the approaching duo, and waves at them. "Hi Jayden! I found some berries for us!" the blonde calls out. "It's Jasmine, Lindsay. And we need to go. Now." the Australian tells her. Lindsay frowns but quickly gets up and follows Jasmine and Dave, and they eventually reach the clearing where their campsite lay. Their teammates look up and sigh in relief, as they finally had food to eat.

The shot flashes forward and the moon has finally risen to take the sun's place, bathing the now darkened island in a soft light. The shot pans down and the Gophers can be seen cooking the now cleaned fish over their fire, as Duncan stands in front of the group. "And at this point the boyfriend is starting to freak out. They slam on the gas and get home, but as the girl opens up the door she screams." he continues with a sly grin, and the camera cuts to show several of the Gophers listening on in fear. "The guy comes around to check what's going on, he sees it. The bloody hook!" he holds up one hand, covered in a hook appendage, and DJ screams in terror. Duncan laughs at the large boy's fear, but Courtney can be seen glaring.

"Don't worry DJ, I'll sing you a song to calm your nerves." Ella calmly says as she stands up to start. She clears her throat and begins a sweet melody, and birds can already be seen flocking to her hypnotizing voice. "Friend DJ, that story was scaryy~yy, but at least we haven't encountered a beast oh so hairyy~yyy! They growl and they roar, but they aren't to fear! Because bears are our friends, I should make that clea~aarr~rrr!"

The scene flashes to show Mike and Zoey still on the run, the bear still in hot pursuit. They back against a tree with nowhere left to go. The bear growls and the camera angle shows the shadow of the bear looming over the two cornered teens, and a fork can be seen poking out towards the right side of the screen. They both close their eyes in anticipation, but nothing happens. The bear's shadow disappears, and they fall to the ground, exhausted from running and from fear of being eaten. "Wow, I thought I wasn't gonna make it." Mike sighs. Zoey nods in agreement. "Yeah, me neither. I thought we were goners."

Just as they started to laugh, twigs could be heard snapping. "Quick, up the tree!" Mike whispers to Zoey, and they both scramble up the oak. They wait to see if the bear has returned, but to their surprise, Brick pops out into the moonlight. He notices the fork and gains a small smile before starting to look around. "Brick? What are you doing here?" Zoey calls down to the army boy. He yelps and covers his face with his hands. "Wait, who said that?" he looks around in confusion. The two jump down from their hiding spot and Brick dawns an expression of joy and relief. "Oh thank goodness it's you guys! I was beginning to worry."

"You came out to look for us? That's so sweet of you!" the indie girl replies, looking grateful. "How'd you know where to find us, especially in the dark?" Mike asks, putting down the basket of food he'd carried with him.

Brick nodded a little too quickly, and then turned away from them. "I was told by our new teammate Dawn to look for a tree with a fork in it, and sure enough, here you both were!" He points towards the fork in the tree and Mike and Zoey give each other a questioning look. "Plus, it's not like I'm scared of the dark or anything like that. Haha…" The cadet turns around and motions for them to follow him out. "Let's get back to base soldiers."

The shot flashes back to the Gophers camp, where the campers are sitting around the fire, snacking on the fish and berries they managed to find in the woods. "Wow, this fish is awesome! Nice work Jasmine!" Geoff smiles and gives the foreigner a thumbs up. She smiles and grabs Dave by the shoulder. "Give this guy some credit too. He found the river all by himself." She pats the boy on the shoulder and he gives the group a sheepish smile.

"Hey, did anyone else just hear that?" Lindsay asks everyone. They all look around at each other in confusion before rustling can clearly be heard. Suddenly, a bear lumbers out into the clearing. "It's a bear! MAMA!" DJ cries out and hides behind Jasmine, who rolls her eyes.

"DJ is great and all. Very nice, good at challenges, and super responsible. But I'm pretty sure he lost his spine when he was born." Jasmine stifles a laugh.

"I'm sorry, but he's scared of everything."

"Oh come on. I bet you it's just Chris trying to Dupe us with a lame costume." Duncan says as he approaches the now confused animal. "Watch, I'll prove it to you guys." he grins as he goes to yank on the head, but is surprised when nothing happens. He frowns and yanks harder, and finally pulls off something. But instead of the costume head, he held a tuft of fur in his hands. The delinquent goes wide-eyed as he slowly realizes what he had just done. "Crap." he gets out as the bear stands up and roars at the group, launching them into chaos.

"Head for the trees!" Jasmine shouts. The camera cuts to show that the Bass now occupied the branches of their camp's oak tree, watching nervously as the bear swiped at the teens on the lowest branch. "How did it even find us?" Heather yells in fear.

"That might have been my fault." Ella nervously raises her hand as her teammates glare at her. "What? I sang a song about a bear, didn't you listen to the lyrics?" she says as Heather groans in frustration. "Well how do we get rid of it?" Courtney throws her hands up in frustration. "Don't you have any ideas Jasmine?" The Aussie shakes her head. "Not any that wouldn't involve hurting the bear. Best to leave it alone for now."

"This couldn't get any worse!" Courtney grumbles under her breath. Suddenly, her stomach grumbles, and her cheeks pop out. She holds a hand to her mouth with a fearful look, she throws up all over the ground. "Ohhh i don't feel the greatest anymore." She throws up again, and all of a sudden, several others from the KIller Bass start puking as well. Geoff, DJ, Duncan, LIndsay, and Heather all start throwing up all over each other, the bear, the tent, and the remaining food. The bear whimpers in disgust and runs away, covered in barf.

"What just happened? How come they all threw up at the same time?" Dave questions. Jasmine hops down from the tree and walks over to the remaining food. She inspects the fish closely before putting it down, and then taking a closer look at the berries. She gasps, and then throws a glaring look Lindsays way. "These berries are poisonous to humans! How could you not know that by their orange color?" Lindsay groans before responding."I thought..the color...looked pretty…" she groans once more before slumping down on the branch. Jasmine groans and pinches the bridge of her nose in frustration. "Well thankfully the bear stopped me and you three from grabbing some and eating them. B, Ella, Dave? Can you help me get these guys down so they can rest?" The non-sick one's nod and start climbing down to assist Jasmine in helping lower down the others.

The scene fast forwards to morning, and the shot pans down to show all of the Gophers now lying on the ground, being helped up by the four remaining standing teens. "Alright, we need to get back as soon as possible. We're at a disadvantage if we wait, especially because you are all sick." Jasmine tells the group. B rubs his soul patch and puts a finger in the air. He grabs the tent, rips the cloth in half, and grands four large branches. He quickly wraps the ripped pieces around two of the branches, and then taps Jasmine on the shoulder to get her attention. She turns around and gives B a big smile. "You've got some brain in there."

B brushes his hand against his coat, then blows on his fingers, giving the confessional camera a confident smile.

The scene flashes once more and Jasmine can be seen running with Dave, holding a makeshift gurney, with B and Ella doing the same. They each carried three of their fellow teammates, and they raced towards the campfire pit, where Chris is seen prepping the fire for another ceremony. He turns around after hearing the footsteps of the campers, and they race past him with smiles on their faces. "We made it here first! How lovely!" Ella celebrates.

"Whoa hold your horses, look behind me." Chirs points behind his shoulder and the camera pans up to show the Killer Bass standing behind the wooden stumps, grinning at the Gophers. Jo grinned especially darkly, and laughed at the Gophers pitiful situation. "Yeah, Jo and her team got here about an hour ago. Apparently, she made them wait at the edge of the forest super early in the morning until I got out here, and easily beat you guys." he laughs at the now disappointed looking Ella.

"So, Screaming Gophers, one of your furry butts is going home tonight." he says, giving them a double finger pistol. A drumroll began as Chris points at the Bass.l"Killer Bass, you're going on an all expense trip to...the tuck shop!" a cash register sound is heard as the drumline peaks, and the Bass excitedly run towards the boat that will take them to their destination.

The Gophers gasp and all glare at Lindsay and Ella, who know they're in deep trouble. The scene fast forwards to nightfall, and the island is once again shown in it's full glory, only the light of the campfire pit giving any indication of life. The camera zooms in and the Gophers all look tired and uninterested, except for the four healthy teens. "You've all cast your votes and made your decisions." Chris begins as the camera cuts to the host standing behind the podium. "The camper who does not receive a marshmallow must immediately walk the dock of shame, ride the boat of losers, and get the heck out of here!" he says, making a pushing motion towards the dock. "And you can't come back, ever."

Chris finishes as the suspenseful music fades in. "Since almost all of you are still sick, ill throw them to you. Geoff, Duncan, Heather, Jasmine, Dave, DJ, Courtney, and B." Chris voices over as the campers could be seen catching their marshmallows with big smiles on their faces. Lindsay and Ella look at each other and pull close to one another.

"Ladies, you both screwed up big time. I mean, one of you summoned a bear? That's insane! But the other got half your team sick, and unable to even finish the challenge." Chris says as he frowns. "The final marshmallow of the night goes to…. Ella." The suspenseful music caps, and Lindsay looks shocked as the marshmallow bounces off her and into the hands of Ella.

"But, I thought you guys liked me? Heather, you still like me right?" she asks her team, as they all look away from her in disappointment. "It's not that we don't like you, you're just a liability now.'' Heather says while hunched over. "We can't trust you anymore." she says, and Lindsay gasps. "But, I thought we were friends!" she cries as Chris grabs her by the forearm and drags her onto the boat. "Sorry, I did what was best for the team." Heather replies with a frown. The camera cuts to the boat, where Lindsay stands and waves at DJ, Dave, and Ella, who went and saw her off.

"Well, since I had to dump one of my pawns early, I just need to look for a new one. It's a small setback in the grand scheme of things." Heather smirks at the confessional camera.

"Well, that was something else!" Dave tells DJ as the walk back to the cabin. "Do you think we'll be able to make it on this new team of ours?" he asks the large teen. "I'm sure we'll do just fine." He smiles at Dave and opens the door to their side of the cabin.
"Ahhhahahahaha!" Duncan lunges out from the door, brandishing his hook appendage. "MAMAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" DJ screams and runs away, arms raised in pure fright. Duncan busts out in laughter, and Dave just sighs. "I sure hope so DJ."

So, in a surprising twist, one of Heathers alliance members is eliminated pretty early! I thought about kicking Dave out for failing to help Jasmine find food, but I felt Lindsay giving everyone poisonous berries was a more interesting route. I think it helped that she looked so confident to Jasmine, she let her go on her own, because if Jasmine had been with her, Lindsay would still be in the competition. So now Heather is put in a situation where she needs to find another member for her alliance, and candidates are running low. On another note, Mike and Zoey got some more development, and some motivation as to why they're here! Romeoaifesili guessed two things in this chapter so shout out to you my friend! One more thing to note, Duncan and COurtney will get their time to shine, I promise. I hope you liked the chapter and I look forward to hearing back from you all!
