NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!
It was a dark, gloomy, and rainy day in Beach City as we cue over to the Crystal Temple Beach House, and we see Lion and Tiger lying outside under the porch of the house, taking naps together as we then zoomed inside the building and we see the Crystal Gems watching the Lonely Blade IV Movie in Japanese with English Subtitles as we see Steven lying on his bed with Saurus while Garnet floated above them in a cross-legged position as Blue laid on her lap, and Arthur, Pearl, and Amethyst can be seen sitting in front of the bed as they were watching the movie on Steven's TV.
"Sore wa anatadeshita! Watashi no otōto o koroshita no wa anatadesu! Eien ni hitori de tatakae to norotteyaru! (It was you! You were the one who killed my brother! Cursing me to fight alone forever!)," Lonely Blade screamed angrily while pointing at Samurai President as Steven ate some popcorn.
"Oh Lonely Blade, you are so lonely, man." Steven says with a sad pout while wearing a long-sleeved opened pink varsity jacket with white trims, a short-sleeved sky-blue skirt with a yellow star in the center, long cuffed blue jeans, and a pair of salmon pink flip-flop sandals as it has been a week since the 'incident' occurred and, after waking up Connie and calling up Greg, they were able to explain to them on what happened with both of them being supportive of Steven but worried that he will age himself to death again as Saurus and the others promise to help Steven get a better handle on that. Once that was done, Saurus, Steven, Arthur, and Blue spent the next few days walking around Beach City and explaining to everyone what happened to Steven as they were reasonably creeped out and shocked, but eventually accepted that this is how Steven would look and act like from now on...well, except for Ronaldo as he thinks that Steven got replaced by an alien but Saurus merely punched his face to shut him up.
"Watashi o taoseru to omoimasu ka? Kage no buke seifu no sōtō?! (You think you can defeat me? The President of the Shadow Samurai Government?!)," Samurai President asked with a glare while unsheathing a hidden sword from his mop as Steven and Blue gasped in pure shock.
"What?! The janitor is the evil samurai president?!"
"Plot twist!" Blue shouted while spreading out her arms in shock and awe as she nearly fell off Garnet's lap if the Leader of the Crystal Gems hadn't reached down to grab her and pulled her up into her lap again.
"Are you two for real? How could the both of you not figure it out?" Saurus asked incredulously as Pearl nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, it was so obvious. He's been mopping in the background of every fight scene."
"Plus, he's on the cover of the movie. Why would they place him on the cover if he wasn't important?" Arthur asked with a raised eyebrow while reaching over to grab the Lonely Blade IV Movie as he showed it off to Steven and Blue and spotted the Janitor standing behind Lonely Blade with a sinister glare on his face.
"Oh...oops," Blue says with a small blush on her cute face as Steven giggles awkwardly.
"Yeah, I guess it was that obvious." Steven says sheepishly.
"Watashi no meiyo no tame ni mo, otōto no tame ni mo! Uchitaoshite yaru! (For my honor and for my brother! I will strike you down!)," Lonely Blade screamed with a vengeful glare on his face as he unsheathed his two swords and joined them together. "Būmeran...burēdo! (Boomerang...Blade!)," Lonely Blade exclaimed while throwing the combined swords forward as Saurus whistled impressively.
"Kanari kūruna kengida to mitome zaruwoenai (I have to admit that is a pretty cool sword technique),"
"Nani? Īe,-sōde wa arimasen. Jisonshin no aru sugureta kenshi wa, sonoyōni teki ni ken o nageru dakede wa arimasen. Ā iu kenjutsu wa genjitsude wa tsūyō shinai yo. (What? No, it isn't. No good self-respecting swordsman just tosses their swords at their opponent like that. That type of sword technique will never work in real life, period.)," An annoyed Pearl says as Arthur turns to them curiously.
"Wait, you two know how to speak and understand Japanese?"
"I've learned how to speak and write other languages when I was young." Saurus explained with a shrug.
"We have been around Planet Earth for about 5,000 plus years. We have been all across the globe more times than a single human possibly could. We learn how to speak all manner of languages." Garnet explained as a cooing Blue climbed up her body and rested on top of her afro as said person didn't seem to be bothered by this.
"Tsuranuku sen no kage...himei! (Piercing Shadow of a Thousand...Screams!)," Samurai President exclaimed angrily while jumping up into the air to avoid Lonely Blade's attack as he thrusts his sword down at him.
"Go, Lonely, go! Do the Boomerang Blade again!" Steven cheered as Blue jumped up and down on Garnet's afro excitedly.
"Blue wants Lonely Blade to stab his butt!" Blue exclaimed as Pearl groaned and facepalmed.
"Oh come on, this is ridiculous. Just look at their form, this is nothing like real sword fighting." Pearl says as Garnet and Amethyst shush her.
"Pearl, you are basically one of those people who go into a Movie Theater to watch a movie and complain and nitpick every single thing that you see." An irritated Saurus says as Arthur nods while taking a handful of popcorn.
"Yeah, you need to remember that it's just a movie, Pearl. As in not real, a piece of fiction." Arthur explained as Pearl moaned and shook her head.
"I know, but it's just so bad to see this movie because of how poorly they use their swords. I mean, if you kids ever want to see a demonstration of proper sword techniques, I'd be happy to show you." Pearl says as Steven, Saurus, Arthur, and Blue instantly turn to her excitedly with starry eyes as Rose's Second In Command gives them a surprise look. "Wait, now? Really?"

Standing in a large red colorful background with millions of glowing stars, we see a stoic Garnet lifting up her glasses to wink at the readers slyly with her Dual Germstones glowing brightly as Arthur stood beside her and grinned slyly as the 18-year-old Man lifted up his right arm to show off his glowing Gemstone and we then see a pair of smirking Pearl and Amethyst riding around on Blue's back with their Gemstones glowing brightly and the 10-year-old Female Hybrid Child was transformed into her Full Dinosaur Form as a roaring Saurus suddenly dropped down from the sky and landed in front of the Crystal Gems in his Full Dinosaur Form with Steven riding on his back and his Gemstone glowed brightly as they all struct a heroic pose.
And if you think we can't,
We'll always find a way!
After warping themselves into the other side of the planet, the Crystal Gems can be seen glaring at a hoard of Corrupted Gems, Evil Dinosaurs, and Jasper and Peridot as Garnet swiftly summoned her Gauntlets while Pearl summoned her spear as Amethyst pulled out her whip, Steven summoned his Shield, Saurus transformed into his True Dinosaur Form, Arthur summoned his spiked gauntlets, and Blue transformed into her Full Dinosaur Form as the Crystal Gems then mounted onto Saurus's back and charged forward at high speeds as they all let out a loud battle cry.

After defeating their powerful foes and saving the Planet Earth, the Crystal Gems decided to head back to Beach City as, after warping themselves near their Hometown, a roaring Saurus ran down the streets of Beach City, alarming Lars and Sadie, surprising the Pizza Family, impressing the Cool Kids, and caused a visiting Connie to gasp in awe as the Gang was able to arrive at their home, and the Crystal Gems got off Saurus's dinosaur back as he transformed back into his Human Form just as Greg drove up to them as he got out of the vehicle and placed a grill in front of them to grill up some victory Hot Dogs as a smiling Saurus rubbed a giggling Steven's head proudly.

20 Minutes later, we see the Crystal Gems standing in a new place as it was the Crystal Gems Training/Battle Arena, which is situated among a mass of clouds and is in a state of ruin with its structures exhibiting signs of damage, and debris scattered about the surrounding clouds as the arena consists of an open center tiled in white and a set of stairs located to one side. Along the perimeter are some pillars, each engraved with a Gem statue and Gem language as well as the Warp Pad placed at the back of the arena and we see Pearl standing in front of the others as Saurus and the gang are sitting in front of her on the stairs.
"Alright, to give a proper demonstration I'm going to need a sparring partner," Pearl says with a smile while holding a sword as Steven and Blue try to raise their hands, but Garnet and Saurus immediately reach over to grab their hands to lower them. "Luckily, I have the perfect candidate right here," Pearl says with a wink, and her Gemstone glows brightly as she does a short ballet and projects a hologram-esque clone of herself.
"Cooool! Hologram Pearl!" An amazed Steven says with starry eyes as Amethyst, who was floating on a small white cloud beside him, groaned in annoyance.
"Ah, geez," Amethyst says as Blue turns to her and beams excitedly as she jumps up to land on top of Amethyst and rolls over to snuggle against the cloud as the Human/Dinosaur Hybrid Girl growls in delight.
"Do you wish to engage in combat?" Holo-Pearl asked as Pear grinned slyly.
"Let this be the perfect battle."
"You've already made a mistake by challenging me," Holo-Pearl says while summoning a holographic sword as she strikes a fighting pose.
"Ha, ha, ha, we shall let our swords decide!" A smirking Pearl says as she strikes a fighting pose as well.
"Nerd!" Amethyst shouted as Blue giggled and cupped her hands around her mouth.
"Nerd!" Blue screamed as Amethyst grinned cockily and shared a high-five with them as Saurus and the others shushed them just as Holo Pearl's eyes reddened as she narrowed them.
"Commencing duel!" Holo-Pearl shouted while lunging towards Pearl, who raised her sword and was able to block her attack as a big dustwave rang out that washed over the gang, blowing back their hair and clothes as Saurus, Steven, Arthur, and Blue looked amazed by what they saw while Garnet had a knowing smirk on her face as Amethyst looked bored.
After pushing back each other, Pearl and Holo-Pearl then ran ahead while making sure to keep an eye on each other as they began swinging their swords around with both of them being able to block each attack as the duo then skids to a stop and a glaring Pearl began swinging her sword at Holo-Pearl, who did a backflip to avoid the attack and tried to rush over to lung at her midsection, only for Pink Diamond's Pearl to use her shapeshifting to turn her midsection into light to avoid the attack and the top half of her body front flipped around with her gemstone glowing brightly as she summoned another sword and latched onto it as Pearl swung both swords down at Holo Pearl.
Quickly summoning another holographic sword and grabbing it without taking her eyes off her opponent, Holo-Pearl raised her weapons to block Pearl's attack with said person fusing her body back to normal with her shapeshifting as they continued swinging their swords at each other before jumping away to land on a couple of pillars as Pearl and Holo-Pearl glared at each other angrily before using their super speed and agility to begin bouncing across the area at high speeds while resembling white/blue blurs as the sounds of swords clashing against each other rang out.
With only Garnet, Saurus, and Arthur being able to keep up with the fast-paced fight, the Gang then spotted Pearl and Holo-Pearl locking swords against each other as they whirled around while falling through the air as both opponents glared at each other before noticing that they were reaching the ground as Pearl swiftly morphed into a white bird with her shapeshifting and flew off while Holo-Pearl landed on the ground, stabbing her swords into the ground as she then ripped them out of the ground and turned her head to see Pearl flying down into the ground as she shapeshifted back into her default form just as Holo-Pearl zoomed over to strike her with her swords, but Pearl was able to block them once again as a mild shockwave rang out.
"Defense-Rank S! Zero openings detected!" Holo-Pearl says as Pearl smirks coyly and a starry-eyed Steven trembles with his excitement.
"Go, Pearl, go!"
"Kick her ass, Pearl!" Saurus yelled with a grin on his face as Arthur raised his arms to cheer loudly.
"Go Holo-Pearl!" Amethyst shouted with a smug tone as Pearl grumbled in annoyance.
"Opening detected!" Holo-Pearl shouted as, due to being distracted by Amethyst's mockery, this left Pearl open enough for her hologram clone to hook her sword around her opponent's weapon and toss it up into the air as it clashed down with the ground behind her. "It's time to go in for the kill!" Holo-Pearl exclaimed while running over to do a sword sweep attack, but Pearl was able to react quickly by running forward and getting down to her knees as she slid underneath Holo-Pearl's attack and appeared behind her in a low crouch while raising her left arm and used her shapeshifting to stretch it behind her as she latched onto her sword just as Holo-Pearl crouched down into the ground as she then leaped up into the air and does an aerial lunge at Pearl, who retracted her arm and skillfully parries, leaving a shocked Holo-Pearl vulnerable in mid-air as the Member of the Crystal Gems then thrusted her sword forward and stabs her opponent through her chest, causing it to crash down into the ground and rolled forward, defeated. "Match set! Challenger wins!"
"Woohoo! Yay, Pearl!" Steven cheered while he, Saurus, and Arthur charged over to Pearl as Garnet looked proud, and Amethyst still looked bored as Blue panted happily while jumping off from her cloud and ran over to the gang on all fours.
"Do you wish to battle again?" Holo-Pearl asked while sitting up as Steven beamed up at Pearl.
"That was amazing, you were so cool!"
"Pearl awesome!" Blue cheered while running around Pearl in a circle three times to show her excitement.
"I got to admit, Pearl, that was so sick," Saurus says while slapping Pearl's butt playfully with a wink as said person squeals in surprise with a blush. "I may not know much about sword fighting, but that was pretty sick."
"Damn right," Arthur says with a sly grin while slapping Pearl's butt as well as she yelped with an embarrassed blush on her face.
"Oh-hoho, well, one does try their best, kids."
"Will you teach me to sword fight like you?!" Steven asked hopefully as Pearl looked like she was about to squeal happily but calmed herself down to give him a soft nod.
"Steven, I was waiting for nearly thirteen years to hear you say that to me," Pearl says with a big wide happy smile on her face as Saurus raises his hand.
"Pearl, do you mind if I learn how to use a sword too?"
"Really? Why, Saurus? I figured you are perfectly fine fighting with just your powers." Pearl commented as Saurus grinned and crossed his arms.
"Oh, trust me, Pearl, I know how to fight without my powers. I'm an expert in hand-to-hand combat and I know how to use every known firearm known to earth...plus a few war vehicles and weapons and such, but I want to learn how to use a sword too." Saurus says as Pearl blinks a bit, but then smiles as she nods and turns to Arthur.
"What about you, Arthur? Do you want to learn sword training too?"
"Oh, sorry, but no, I already know how to swordfight, but you guys can have fun," Arthur says while turning around to walk back over to the others as Blue jumps up and down happily.
"Blue wants to use swords too!"
"Uh, yeah, now. Sorry, Blue, but I don't trust you to cut your own steak." Saurus says sternly as Blue pouted.
"Don't worry, Saurus, everything will be okay, and most importantly, safely. Let's begin with the basics." Pearl says before turning to Holo-Pearl. "Ahem! Initiate, training mode!"
"Training mode initiated: Level 1 Begin!" Holo-Pearl yelled while standing up from the ground and had one of her holographic swords disappear as she took a stance.
"Saurus, let's start with you," Pearl says while walking over to grab Saurus's shoulders and place him in front of her as she then hands him her sword. "Now, everything begins with your stance. Maintaining your balance is important in swordplay. Not to mention having a firm grip of your sword." Pearl commanded as Saurus nodded and mimicked her sword-fighting stance from earlier as he held up his sword and gripped it tightly with a serious glare on his face as Holo-Pearl began sparring with him.
"Parry! Parry! Thrust! Parry! Parry! Thrust!" Holo-Pearl says while swinging her sword slowly at Saurus, who raises his sword to block it while noticing that with each thrust, her swings got a tad bit faster as he made sure to study her movements.
"Now, Kids, while Saurus will be a bit busy, I want you two to stand back and watch carefully," Pearl says while her gemstone glows brightly as she not only summoned another sword for herself but also projects another hologram-esque clone of herself.
"Do you wish to engage in combat?"
"Initiate, training mode," Pearl commanded as Holo-Pearl #2 nodded and summoned a holographic sword as she took a fighting pose.
"Training mode initiated: Level 1 Begin!" Holo-Pearl #2 yells while swinging her sword at Pearl, who takes a fighting stance and begins blocking her sword as she turns back to Steven and Blue.
"Do you see what I'm doing with my feet, Kids? Notice where I keep my center of gravity." Pearl says while easily blocking Holo-Pearl #2's slow sword swipes as Steven and Blue quickly lose interest.
"Aww, can you show us something cool? Like the Boomerang Blade?" Steven asked hopefully as Blue nodded while jumping up and down excitedly.
"Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade!"
"Kids, you know that's not a real sword technique." Pearl scolded with a light glare as Steven and Blue turned to share a look and nodded as they turned back to her.
"Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade! Boomerang Blade!" Steven and Blue chanted loudly with a very annoyed Pearl gaining a thick mark on her head as an equally annoyed Arthur sighed heavily.
"Steven, Blue, why can't you take these sword lessons seriously like Saurus?
"Arthur is right," Pearl says while turning to glance down at Steven and Blue as she still blocks Holo-Pearl #2's sword swipes absentmindedly. "I mean, look at him," Pearl says while gesturing over at Saurus, who was still blocking Holo-Pearl #1's sword swipes as they began increasing in speed. "He's fully concentrated on his task and his stance is never breaking and is actually using real sword techniques. Not those silly things from your movies. It's about waiting carefully for the perfect moment to str-,"
"Thrust!" Holo-Pearl #2 exclaimed while stabbing through a distracted Pearl's chest, killing her as she let a loud pained grunt and Steven gasped in horror while covering his mouth as Blue looked frightened and stunned as Amethyst winced, Arthur's eyes widened in surprise and worry while Garnet gritted her teeth concernedly. "Challenger Defeated! Level 1 Failed!"
"Huh? What's going on?" Saurus asked as he noticed that Holo-Pearl #1 had stopped fighting and stood still as the Human-Dinosaur Hybrid turned his head and his pupils shrunk at the sight of Holo-Pearl #2's sword stabbing through Pearl's chest with said person dropping her sword as Steven teared up.
"...P-Pearl?" Steven asked shakingly with a pale-faced Blue rooted to her spot and stared up at the sword stabbing through Pearl's chest with a stunned yet emotionless look on her face as Pearl saw the sword impaled through her and chuckled nervously as she glanced between Steven, Blue, and Saurus.
"W-whoopsie-daisy! Steven, Saurus, Blue, it's okay. I'm gonna be just f-," Pearl says before suddenly poofing into a white cloud, leaving just her gemstone as it falls to the ground.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Steven exclaimed in horror and dismay while sliding over to pick up Pearl's gemstone as tears leaked down from his eyes and the Human/Dinosaur Hybrids glanced down at Pearl's dropped gem stoically. "P-Pearl? Pearl..." Steven says with a pitiful and devastated tone, which seems to snap the duo out of their funk as their eyes lock in on Holo-Pearl #2 and their features darken with their eyes glowing with vengeance and bloodlust as green and blue scales cover their bodies as Saurus and Blue stood up in unison with menacing auras of death covering their bodies as they were about to transform but were stopped by Garnet as she zoomed over to grab them in a big tight hug while Arthur and Amethyst went over to Steven's side to give him a comforting hug.
"Garnet, let us go," Saurus says with a cold and menacing tone as Blue was practically baring her teeth in her anger with tears in her eyes. "We need to make that thing fucking pay-,"
"Kids, calm down! Pearl is not dead! She just poofed!" Garnet yelled, startling Steven and the others as the Human-Dinosaur Hybrids calmed down enough to listen to her.
"W-What do you mean by that?" A teary-eyed Steven asked as he sniffled. "P-Pearl's dead and it's because of me-,"
"Steven, it's okay, Pearl's gonna be just fine," Amethyst says with a soft and caring tone while placing her hand on her back as Garnet nods.
"Sometimes, if our bodies are badly damaged, we release our physical forms and retreat to our gems to regenerate."
"So, essentially, as long as Pearl's Gem isn't damaged, she can't really die," Arthur says, knowing how poofing works thanks to his lady as this seems to calm down the Human/Dinosaur Hybrids enough to have their green and blue scales disappear as Saurus went over to them with Blue doing the same thing while growling at the Holo-Pearls angrily as she walks on all fours.
"So, to make sure, when a Gem gets extremely hurt and their physical form gets damaged, they will simply just retreat into their gem to regenerate and they will be able to come back without issue?" Saurus asked cautiously while eyeing the Holo-Pearl suspiciously as Arthur nodded.
"Yes, remember, a Gem's body is just made of light. Their real bodies and self comes from their gem. As long as it's undamaged, they will be able to poof and regenerate back to their normal selves in no time." Arthur says reassuringly as Saurus sighs in relief and closes his eyes as he nods in understanding with Blue looks a bit confused by the information but understands that Pearl will come back and she's not dead as Steven wipes away his tears and glances around his family.
"So she's gonna be okay, right?"
"Yeah, don't worry, bud. These kinds of things just happen sometimes." Amethyst says with a smile as she shrugs. "Usually to me."
"Always to you," Garnet says to Amethyst with a playful tone as she grins and chuckles.
"Hey, I'm scrappy. Whaddya want?" Amethyst asked lazily as Steven chuckled.
"So, how long will it take Pearl to regenerate and come back? 10 minutes? 30 minutes? An hour? Maybe two?"
~[SpongeBob SquarePants French Narrator: Three Weeks Later]~
"Steven, Pearl coming back?" An excited Blue asked as we cue to three weeks later and we see Steven staring solemnly at Pearl's Gem, which was located in a handbasket on the kitchen table of the Crystal Temple Beach House with a lamp shining down on it as Steven hoped to incubate it and Blue appeared in the house after having fun with Radishes and Onion as she opened the door and eagerly ran over to jump up and land on the table as the Human/Dinosaur Hybrid pouted as Pearl's Gem was still there.
"Nope not yet, Blue," Steven says as he stares down at Pearl's Gem somberly. "What's taking so long?" Steven asked with a pout just as Saurus, Arthur, Garnet, and Amethyst warp into the room via the Warp Pad as the Overcooked Defective Amethyst was still riding atop a small cloud.
"Hey, Steven, is Pearl back?" Saurus asked hopefully while making his way over to the kitchen table with Arthur as a depressed Steven shook his head.
"No..."
"Damn, Pearl is still not done? I know that Gems' regeneration time differs with each Gem, but three weeks? This is just getting ridiculous." Arthur says as Saurus nods in agreement just as Amethyst flies over to them and she glances down at Pearl's Gem curiously.
"Yeah, she's really taking her time with this one. Gotta tell you though, love what you've done with the place." Amethyst says while looking around as she and the others observe the messy state of the house as there is trash everywhere, things lying carelessly on the ground, and dishes piled up in the kitchen as the only part of the house that wasn't filthy was the couch and Arthur's bed.
"Pearl usually helps me tidy up..." Steven says with a pout as a bemused Saurus turns to him.
"Help or does it all herself?"
"Pearl likes cleaning," Steven says defensively as he then glances at him and Arthur. "Anyway, why can't you two help me out on cleaning?"
"Well, first off, we're not your Mom. Second, your 13-year-old, Steven. You need to learn to look after yourself." Arthur says sternly as Steven groans and a sniffling Blue lies on the table as a worried Saurus turns to her.
"You okay, kiddo?"
"Blue miss Pearl..." Blue says with teary eyes as Saurus gives her a knowing and comforting look while going over to grab her and hold his sister in his arms as she cries softly in his chest and Steven frowns sadly at this as the Human/Gem Hybrid Boy then perks up when an idea pops into his head.
"Hey, I have an idea! If real Pearl can't be here, there's always the next best thing!" Steven says while running over to unravel a large blanket hiding two figures that were standing in the corner of the room, revealing it to be the Holo-Pearls as they were still holding their swords.
"Do you wish to engage in combat?" The Holo-Pearls asked in unison as everyone, sans Steven, stared at them in disgust, anger, and annoyance.
"Steven. Cover those things back up." Amethyst ordered as Blue growled at them furiously with blue scales covering her body as Saurus rubbed her back to calm her down.
"For real, Steven, seeing those things without Pearl around gives me the creeps," Arthur says with a shiver as Steven raises his hands defensively.
"But it's like Pearl. Look at them."
"I'm sorry, Steven, but those aren't Pearl. They're just hologram duplicates. One of which accidentally killed Pearl. I don't feel comfortable with the thought of you hanging out with them, and Blue seems to share the same thought." Saurus says as Blue squirms in his arms and bends down to place her on the ground as she scurries away to hide behind the kitchen island and growls at Holo-Pearls furiously as more blue scales are generated on her skin.
"True, but maybe, I can get them to act like her. I mean, there's twice of them, so it means twice the Pearl." An excited Steven says while reaching over to grab Holo-Pearls' hands as he drags them up to his room.
"Well, this is going to end poorly," Saurus says to Arthur dryly as said person nods in agreement and a bored Amethyst flies away as a growling Blue continues hiding behind the kitchen island.
"Here we have, a mess. Organizing messes is one of Pearl's favorite hobbies." Steven explained to the Holo-Pearls cheerfully as he bent down and picked up various figurines. "Like these things, I was planning to throw them away since I don't like playing with them anymore, but Pearl wanted to help me throw them away by sorting them by type. Animal, humanoid, miscellaneous, and non-binary." Steven says while throwing various toys in designated boxes as he then picks up a figurine with a sword prop and gestures it over to the Holo-Pearls. "Now you try."
"You've drawn your sword in vain!" The Holo-Pearls exclaimed in unison while switching into Combat Mode with their eyes glowing red as they thrust their swords forward and Steven reflexively ducks under as the holograms slice the toy in half. "Challenger defeated." The Holo-Pearls said in unison with their eyes changing back to normal as they switched to Stand-By Mode.
"Do you want to give up now, Steven?" Arthur asked as he and Saurus almost rushed over to stop the Holo-Pearls if they tried to kill Steven.
"Maybe we need to try something else," Steven says while walking over to grab the Holo-Pearls' arms as he leads them down into the living room and opens the front door as they walk out with Saurus and Arthur following after them as the gang spots Garnet and Amethyst standing on the beach as the latter was holding the cloud, all clumped up in her hands as she grins up at the Leader of the Crystal Gems smugly.
"I'm gonna do it."
"Don't do it."
"I'm gonna do it."
"Don't do it."
"I'm gonna do it."
"Don't you fucking do it, Amethyst."
"I'm gonna do it, Motherfucker."
"Then do it, come on, no balls," Garnet demanded with a challenging grin as Amethyst grinned back and opened up her mouth as she stuffed the cloud into her mouth and swallowed it, causing her to inflate like a balloon and float upwards as Garnet reached up to grab Amethyst's leg before she floats off into the stratosphere.
"Okay, got to admit, that's hilarious," Saurus says with a laugh as Steven and Arthur laugh as well while the Holo-Pearls remain silent.
"Pearl always likes to tease Amethyst when she does funny stuff like this," Steven says while turning to the Holo-Pearls as they beep.
"I won't go easy on you this time!"
"That's the spirit!" A beaming Steven says as he and the others walk over to Garnet and Amethyst. "What are you rascals doing over here?"
"Draw your weapon, challengers!" The Holo-Pearls exclaimed while aiming their swords at the Crystal Gems as they frowned at what they saw.
"Ugh, Steven, why are you still hanging out with those things? It's gross, and I can't believe that you guys are humoring this weird stunt." Amethyst says as she burps out a piece of cloud.
"We're not. We are keeping an eye on Steven because he is hanging out with a couple of powerful holograms who can wield swords and we are worried that they might kill him." Arthur stated sternly as a pouting Steven sighed sadly.
"I just really miss spending time with Pearl."
"Pearl will come back to us in time, Steven, have patience," Garnet says to Steven wisely as he glances up at her with a frown on his face. "And stop hanging out with those things. It's creepy." Garnet says while crossing her arms as she accidentally lets go of Amethyst, who quickly flies off into the sky as she screams for someone to help her.
"You know, I just realized something, why doesn't Amethyst turn her body into light to have the cloud phase past through her body?" Saurus asked inquisitively while crossing his arms as Garnet with a hum.
"Yeah, I'm going up to tell her to do that," Garnet says as she begins hearing the voices of Sapphire and Ruby in the Fusion Realm.
"Are you sure that is what you wanna do or do you want to shapeshift into a bird and follow Amethyst around until she realizes how she can save herself?" Sapphire asked with a knowing and teasing tone.
"Hell, yeah, I'm bored as shit without any missions to do. Might as well find some way to entertain ourselves." Ruby says with a snarky tone as Sapphire hums thoughtfully.
"True," Sapphire says as Garnet is bemused by their conversation before crouching down on the ground and then jumping up high into the air and shapeshifting herself into a maroon eagle as she flies off after Amethyst, and we then fast forward to three hours as we see Saurus, Steven, and Arthur standing atop of the hill with Pearl's favorite tree as the Human/Dinosaur Hybrid was holding a toy stuffed dinosaur, and the Human/Gem Hybrids were holding a stuffed walrus toy and a stuffed dragon toy as the Holo-Pearls were holding a couple of balloon swords while wearing balloon crowns.
"Well, I will admit, it has been fun hanging out at the Boardwalk...no thanks to them, by the way..." Saurus says dryly while glaring at the Holo-Pearls as they were once again banned from the Boardwalk due to the Holo-Pearls slicing a Ferris Wheel off its foundation and nearly killing a group of civilians if Saurus and the others didn't work together to stop the runaway Ferris Wheel.
"Yeah, did you two have fun too?" Steven asked as the Holo-Pearls merely remained silent. "Oh come on, you gotta work with me here. This is Pearl's favorite tree. Don't you recognize it?"
"Steven, once again, those aren't Pearl. They are just holograms. They don't have sentience. They are just programmed to fight and spar." Arthur says as Steven pouted and glared at him.
"Come on, Arthur, don't be mean," Steven says as he then turned to the Holo-Pearls. "Holo-Pearls, please, try to change Saurus and Arthur's minds and prove them wrong. Tell us what you are thinking. Come on, don't hold back." Steven says as the Holo-Pearls buzzed and switched to combat mode as their eyes glowed red.
"Challenge accepted!"The Holo-Pearls exclaimed in unison while quickly swinging their balloon swords at the Trio with Saurus swiftly morphing into his Full Dinosaur Form and he and Arthur rushed over to hug Steven protectively with said person reflexively summoning his shield in front of them as it grew in size and the Holo-Pearls' swords collided against it, creating a shockwave that sliced off a branch from Pearl's tree, Saurus's tail, and Arthur's cheek as one tuft of Steven's hair was sliced off. "Challenger defeated!" The Holo-Pearls shouted in unison as their eyes changed back to normal and switched back to Stand-By Mode.
"AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH, FUCK! FUCKITY FUCK THAT HURT! FUCK" Saurus cursed while holding his bloody stump of what his tail used to be as it started slowly growing back and Arthur winced while cradling his bleeding cheek as he turned to him.
"Shit, dude, are you okay?!"
"I will live!" Saurus yelled through gritted teeth just as he was able to heal up his tail as Steven gasped worriedly and de-summoned his shield as he turned to scowl at the Holo-Pearls furiously.
"You monsters! Not only did you nearly cut off Pearl's favorite tree, but you also hurt Saurus and Arthur! The Real Pearl would never do that! Grrr, the others were right! You're both hopeless! Get away from us!" Steven screamed while running off with Saurus and Arthur following after him as the Holo-Pearls stayed back ominously.
"It's too bad that Pearl hasn't come back yet. She usually loves watching the rain." Arthur commented with a heavy sigh as we cue to nighttime and we see him and Steven watching the downpour through the window still in the Crystal Temple Beach House with Pearl's Gem placed near them on a blanket as Saurus can be seen lying on his couch with Blue lying on top of him as heavy rain and lightning rang outside.
"Yeah, especially when I found a copy of the fifth Lonely Blade Movie," Steven says with a depressed tone as he glances down at Pearl's gem sadly. "How long are you going to make us wait, Pearl?"
"Yeah, taking too long. Blue miss Pearl. Is Pearl's Gem broken?" Blue asked worriedly as Saurus shook his head.
"Nope, Pearl is most likely taking a long time to regenerate because of her Hologram Clones."
"Wait, really?" A curious Steven asked as Saurus nodded.
"Yeah, I mean, whenever Pearl makes her Holographic Clones, they usually disappear when she is done with them, but since she was poofed before she could, the Holographic Clones stayed which means that they are drawing unnecessary energy from Pearl's Gem, not allowing her to regenerate as fast she usually could...that's my theory anyway," Saurus says with a shrug as a beeping sound goes off in the background.
"Oh, the popcorn's done, stay right there," Steven says while talking with Pearl's Gem as he and an excited Blue go over to the kitchen as the Human/Gem Hybrid takes out a bag of popcorn from the microwave and the Human/Dinosaur Hybrid jumps up to grab the bag of popcorn as she began playing tug-of-war with Steven, who laughed amusedly as he was about to play with Blue, but then the duo flinched in surprise when the Holo-Pearls suddenly appear in front of them.
"What the hell?!" A surprised Saurus asked as he and Arthur quickly stood up from their windstill and couch as they went over to the others.
"Do you wish to test your skills against us in a duel?" Holo-Pearl #1 asked as it and Holo-Pearl #2 drew their holographic swords.
"No! No sword fighting!" Steven yelled with a glare while letting go of the popcorn as he ran off with a growling Blue marched over to the others with Saurus and Arthur standing in front of them protectively as Holo Pearl #2 turned to them.
"Draw your sword and fulfill your destiny!"
"You heard the kids, fuck off and leave us alone until Pearl comes back and wipes you both away from existence," Saurus says with a glare as Arthur nods and goes over to grab a blanket.
"Just hide underneath here and don't say a word until Pearl comes back," Arthur says while tossing a blanket over the Holo-Pearls as he and the others go up to Steven's Room as Steven and Saurus lay on his bed while Arthur and Blue sit on the ground as they begin watching the fifth movie of Lonely Blade with Pearl's Gem placed near them as, this time, it was dubbed in English.
"Brother, is that you?" Lonely Blade asked his brother, who was a zombie as he nodded.
"Yes. It's me. Your...brother. Your technique is..."
"Whoa, this dub is really good. What do you think, Pearl?" Steven asked while glancing down at Pearl's Gem, only for it to remain silent as Arthur turned to him.
"Remember, Steven, Pearl can't talk while she's regenerating.
"I know..." Steven says sadly as the gang notices that Holo-Pearls climbed up to stand behind them, irritating the group as Blue and even Saurus growl angrily, but decide to ignore them as they turn back to watch the movie.
"Just wait a minute...you're not my real brother! Grrr, Boomerang Blade!" Lonely Blade screamed as he unsheathed his swords.
"Your technique is impressive, but it won't be enough!" Lonely Blade Brother exclaimed as they began clashing swords with each other as Steven frowned and began to think back to the moment Pearl was struck down as he shut his eyes tightly with tears forming as Saurus spotted this and frowned worriedly as he reached over to grab the remote and paused the movie as Arthur and Blue saw what was going on and turned to them.
"Steven, are you okay?" Saurus asked concernedly as Steven sniffled and wiped away his tears as he placed his bag of popcorn away.
"Y-Yeah, it's just uh...the movie...it makes me remember..." Steven says while choking back some sobs as Arthur curses under his breath.
"I knew watching the movie was too soon."
"Steven, it's okay, Blue misses Pearl too," Blue says with teary eyes while climbing up Steven's bed to hug him as Steven hugs her back and cries as Saurus reaches over to place his hand on Steven's shoulder.
"Hey, Kid, look, I know how you feel. I miss Pearl too." Saurus says as Arthur nods in agreement and Steven sniffles as he hugs Blue.
"I just feel so bad...Pearl wouldn't have poofed if it wasn't for me distracting her." Steven says as Blue nods in agreement with a sad demeanor.
"Blue made kill pack member...Blue doesn't deserve pack..."
"Hey, hey, hey, come on, now, I know that you kids feel guilty for what happened, but it was an accident, and Pearl will come back soon. I'm sure she won't be mad at you two for what happened." Arthur says reassuringly as Saurus nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, don't go and blame yourselves for what happened. There's nothing that we can do about the past, so let's focus on preventing something like that from ever happening again." Saurus says as Steven smiles wateryly and nods.
"Yeah, I like that."
"Same," Blue says with a warm smile as the cute moment is ruined by the Holo-Pearls suddenly appearing behind them and they proceed to stab the TV. "No! Funny Talking Magic Box!" Blue screamed in dismay and horror while jumping off the bed and went over to check on the broken TV as the others did the same.
"Ah, the TV! Why must you destroy the things I love?!" Steven asked with a sad frown and furrowed eyebrows as he turned to the Holo-Pearls.
"Challenger defeated. Continue?" Holo-Pearl #1 asked as Saurus and Arthur glared at her and Holo-Pearl #2 with Steven doing the same as his eyes briefly flashed pink.
"I hate you, I HATE YOU! You're NOTHING like Pearl! Pearl is smart, and she always wants to protect us from danger! All you want to do is FIGHT ME!" Steven snapped as the Holo-Pearls perked up.
"Challenge accepted! Basic Attack Mode, initiated!" Holo-Pearls says as they begin sparring with the gang by swinging their swords, nearly hitting the others as this seems to snap Blue out of her sad demeanor, and turns to them angrily as she growls and swiftly transforms into her Full Dinosaur Form.
"YOU KILLED BLUE'S PACK AND MAGIC TALKING BOX! YOU DIE!" Blue exclaimed furiously while turning around to swing her tail around to slam them against the Holo Pearls, sending them crashing down to the ground as they buzzed.
"Basic Attack Mode Defeated! Now Initiating Advanced Mode!"The Holo-Pearls shouted with their eyes reddening as they quickly shredded the blanket over them and stood up from the floor as the gang was shocked by this...before growing determined as Saurus growled.
"No, you know what? Fuck this! This is a long time coming! Let's fuckin go!" Saurus roared while his body was covered with green scales as he jumped off from Steven's Room and twirled forward to morph into his Full Dinosaur Form as he landed on the ground before launching himself over to collide against Holo-Pearl #1 as Saurus sent them flying over to crash through the door of the Crystal Temple Beach House, creating a huge hole in it as Arthur jumped down and leaped through the hole of the house to follow after them as Holo-Pearl #2 turned to glare up at the duo, who turned to share a nod as Steven climbed up Blue's body and said person jumped down to confront the hologram as Steven quickly projected his bubble shield to send Holo-Pearl #2 flying out of the house and it was only now that the Human/Gem Hybrid noticed that there were spikes on his Bubble Shield.
"Oh, that's new." A surprised Steven says before composing himself as Blue runs them over to leap through the hole in the Crystal Temple Beach House.
Falling through the air, Saurus slammed Holo-Pearl #1 onto the beach before launching himself around and twirling around to morph into his Human/Dinosaur Hybrid Form as he landed on the ground and struck a fighting pose just as Holo-Pearl #1 got up from the floor as it was about to attack him, only to dodge out of the way as Arthur flew onto the scene with his summoned spiked gauntlets placed in front of him as he crashed down into the ground, creating a big shockwave that collided against an airborne Holo-Pearl #1 as it fell down into the ground and both boys shared a look and nodded as they then rushed over to the holographic projection of their friend.
With the others, we see Holo-Pearl #2 landing on the beach as she glanced up and spotted Blue and Steven falling down towards it with the Spiked Bubble Shield still put up as it quickly danced out of the way just as Steven de-summoned his Spiked Bubble Shield as he bounced off from Blue's body and the Human/Dinosaur Hybrid landed on the ground before jumping up into the air while letting out a loud roar as she tried to bite down on Holo-Pearl #2, who daintly moved out of the way of her lunge as it tried to stab her sides, only to be knocked off by a glaring Steven as he summoned two Shields and tossed one of them to bash against its body.
Letting out a couple of loud roars, Saurus and Arthur began swinging their claws and spiked gauntlets at Holo Pearl #1, who quickly got up from the floor and began dodging the attacks while using its sword to block their attacks as it then proceeded to push them back with a mighty yell, sending Saurus and Arthur skidding back as they watched on as Holo-Pearl #1 jumped up high into the air to try and do an aerial downwards slash, only for the Human/Dinosaur Teenage Hybrid to jump up high into the air and deliver a mighty kick up its chin, ignoring the fact that it stabbed through his leg as Arthur quickly used his shapeshifting powers to stretch up his arms and latched onto Holo-Pearl #1's legs as he then swung his stretchy arms to slam the holographic projection of their friend into the ground.
Narrowing its eyes and summoning a second holographic sword, Holo-Pearl #2 then zoomed over to begin swinging its swords at Steven, who summoned another shield and began using his weapons to frantically block its attacks before briefly summoning his Bubble Shield to push back Holo-Pearl #2 as Steven then de-summoned his shields while also shapeshifting himself into a Pink Rhino and rushed over to slam his horn against its chest, sending Holo-Pearl #2 flying over to Blue, who twirled around to slam her tail down at its chest to slam the holographic projection of their friend into the floor, hard enough that a mild shockwave rang out.
Shapeshifting his arms back to normal, Arthur then cracked his neck as Saurus landed beside him in a low crouch and the boys spotted Holo-Pearl #1 getting up from the floor with its sword still drawn as the duo shared a nod before the Human/Dinosaur Hybrid jumped up to land on the Human/Gem Hybrid's arms as he proceeds to fire his gauntlets like a pair of rockets, sending Saurus flying over to Holo-Pearl #1 as he then leaped into the air and transformed into his Full Dinosaur Form as he crashed down feet first into the holographic projection of their friend, stomping her into non-existence as Saurus and Arthur shared a nod.
Roaring loudly, Blue proceeded to latch onto Holo-Pearl #2's midsection with her teeth as she began shaking it around vigorously and Steven morphed back into his Default Form as he narrowed his eyes at the scene and then gasped sharply, remembering Pearl's lesson about waiting carefully for the perfect moment to strike as Steven grunted and was able to summon his shield from straight out of his gem as he sends it flying over to decapitate Holo-Pearl #1's neck, causing her holographic form to glitch and spazz out before it was vaporized out of existence as Steven cheered loudly and ran over to Blue just as Saurus and Arthur appeared as they either morphed back into their Human Forms or de-summoned their weapons as the gang then shared a high-five and a victorious cheer.
"Kids, we heard fighting, are you four okay?" Garnet asked worriedly while using her super-speed to rush back onto the beach as she pulled in Amethyst, who had a black string wrapped around her leg as the Leader of the Crystal Gems carried her around like a balloon.
"Are you two alright? What's going on?"
"Oh, basically, we got sick of the Holo-Pearls so we decided to murder them in cold blood. No biggie." Saurus says with a shrug as he bends down to grab Blue and places her on his shoulders as she giggles happily.
"Yep, we finally got rid of them," Arthur says with the Gems sighing in relief as Steven nods.
"Yeah, and you know something? I learned something today. I might miss Pearl a whole lot, but, sometimes you just have to accept things the way they are before you-," Steven says before getting cut off as a familiar glow began generating from the inside of their home. "Nevermind! Pearl's back!" An excited Steven exclaimed while running off with Saurus, Arthur, and Blue as Amethyst paused a bit.
"Wait, why is there a huge hole in the wall? I kind of like it, brings back memories of the old days." Amethyst says with a smile as Garnet hums before leaping up into the air to land on the patio while dragging along her screaming comrade as they meet up with the Kids, who had climbed up the stairs as they walked into the Crystal Temple Beach House and spotted Pearl's Gem glowing brightly as it hovered up into the air and Pearl begins to regenerate as she cycled through her past forms, which includes of her First Form from when she served Pink Diamond, her Second to Nineteenth Forms from her Sacrificial Phase during the Gem War, her Twentieth Form that resembled her early promotional design before the pilot, her Twenty-First Form that references the Steven Universe Comic, her Twenty-Second Form from what was shown in the picture in the last chapter, her Twenty-Third Form from the 1980s to 1990s, her Twenty-Fourth Form during the 1990s to late 2000s, her Twenty-Fifth Form that was her old form before Pearl was able to regenerate from her injuries while sporting a slightly different outfit from before.
"Ah...that's much better," Pearl says with a smile while wearing an aqua-blue tunic with a small yellow star on the center of her chest, a light aqua-blue satin sash ribbon wrapped around her upper waist, a pair of amber-colored leggings, pink socks, and a pair of light blue slip-on ballet flats. "So, what did I miss-Oh!" Pearl says before yelping in surprise as Steven and Blue, with the latter jumping off from her Brother's shoulders, rushed over to hug her happily. "Oof, hey, miss me much?"
"Blue missed you!" Blue cried while burying her face into Pearl's leg as said person rubbed her head.
"Oh, Pearl, I'm sorry that you got poofed! From now on, I will take your teachings seriously, even if they seem boring!" An exhilarated, teary-eyed Steven says while burying himself into Pearl's chest as said person blinks in disbelief and confusion.
"Ah, good to know, but what the hell happened to the house?!" Pearl asked panickedly while noticing how messy the room was and the huge hole in the wall as she then noticed the inflated Amethyst. "I don't even want to know what happened to you..."
"I got hit by an airplane!" Amethyst yelled goofily as Saurus glanced up at her curiously.
"Amethyst, you DO know that you can return back to normal by briefly turning your body into light, right?"
"Oh, yeah!" Amethyst exclaimed while briefly turning her body into light and allowing the cloud to go through her body as she crashed down into the ground.
"Spoilsport," Garnet says to Saurus with a neutral tone as she crosses her arms and an amused Arthur chuckles as he then turns to a heavily confused Pearl.
"Don't worry, Pearl, I'm sure that we will be able to fix the big hole in the wall tomorrow," Arthur says reassuringly as Pearl sighs heavily, but nods as Steven and Blue continue hugging her.
"...So what did you want to talk about?" Arthur asked curiously as we fast forward in time and we see Pearl leading him into her room in the Crystal Temple as Pearl's Room is at the top of a waterfall and has a lake with many fountains as, above it, there is a large golden ribbon-esque decoration that splits to all the fountains, and the background consists of a dark indigo and light purple sky with many red, white, and blue stars as, by some unknown mechanism that is probably magical in nature, the platforms supporting the waterfalls allows the water to be alternatively divided to appear elsewhere in the Crystal Temple or be walked upon as if shallow or as if the water on top was solid.
"Well, you see, Arthur, I've been feeling a bit...stressed out lately, even after my regeneration and this requires a...man's help," Pearl explained awkwardly as she and Arthur stood on top of a central waterfall that contains a big round-shaped hole that goes down to Amethyst's Room. "I would've asked Saurus, but he's busy with the others, so I was wondering...if you can have sex with me?" Pearl asked shyly with a light blush as a surprised Arthur blinked slowly.
"Wait, really? Just like that? I mean, no offense, but I expected someone like Amethyst to make this request." Arthur says as Pearl blushes and laughs sheepishly.
