Chapter 17
Authors Notes
Hello everyone! I apologize for the unexpected break, I have really been struggling with life this past month. My motivation to do much of anything was pretty low, and I'm thankful to be getting back to this story. Hopefully you all waited in anticipation and didn't abandon the story. Anyways, another chapter is out!
With regards to the reviewers,
romeoaifesili : Sorry for the super long wait, I've been so busy with planning and everything else. So yes, Mike has now reluctantly joined Heather now that she knows his secret, and Heather now has another alliance member who has more leeway with the other contestants than either her or Lindsay. In response, Duncan and Jo have teamed up to combat the growing threat of Heather. Finally, Ella leaving was inevitable, unfortunately. She wasn't really in a good mental state, and her efforts to be friendly with Heather were falling short. Maybe she'll get a chance to forgive Heather in the future? Only time will tell.
amit : Who knows what Dawn will do. She knows so much about what is going on, but also can't afford to overstep her boundaries and tell the others. Also, don't worry Brick will be shining more.
Zeke the Prophet : Yes you got both predictions right! Good job! Poor Ella just wasn't up for it after she found out Heather really didn't care for anyone at all. Also yeah Tyler had to take the plunge, and he didn't really get a reward from it either. I don't plan on ever making Dave go insane, so there's that XD. Yeah, you're onto Mike, and who knows how Heather will use Mike.
Gucci Mane LaFlare : The bonds of partnership are forming between Duncan and Jo, and Dawn is desperately trying to convince Lindsay of Heather's vile ways. Of course, Heather now has a new ally just as soon as she was finished using and dumping Ella. Mike didn't really do a good job concealing his disorder in canon(at least to me) and Heather is pretty observant. How Mike will (maybe) get out of blackmail will be fun to write.
Shuffollower : Yes, a lot of things happened, and I'm sorry to make you wait so long again. Mike and Tyler are both in sticky situation, one being blackmailed, the other's crush being unknowingly blackmailed. Who knows, maybe they'll bond over their shared pain. Maybe Dawn will be able to convince Lindsay of Heather's ways. And finally, Ella leaving hurt Dave more than she knows, but it'll work itself out in the future.
Okay! Now onto chapter 17! We're over the hill everyone, and I promise to finish this story on a good note!

(Start Episode)
"Last time on Total Drama Island," Chris begins, the capstone theme playing as a shot of the island fades onto the screen. "The remaining twelve campers embarked on a landlubbing search for buried treasure! Hararar!" he laughs in a pirate voice as the campers can be seen looking at a multitude of wooden treasure chests, Chef bringing over a bucket full of planks. "Each camper was tasked with grabbing a key from a 'surprise' location and bringing it back to open one of the chests."
The teens are seen looking at their boards, the scenes of each camper looking at their trial flashing on screen. "Some campers had no trouble grabbing their keys, while others…had some issues." Chris laughs as Duncan and Mike are shown grabbing their keys with relative ease, while Dave can be seen running away from the large grizzly which held his key.
"Mike and Jasmine helped out Zoey with her key, and it got oh so intimate." the host comments as Jasmine watches the two talk and laugh, the clip of the two holding hands pops up on screen. "But, all good things must come to an end, and Mike seems to be stuck between a rock and Heather. Yeeesh, that girl's got game." Chris shudders as the interaction between Mike and Heather is played on screen, the lanky boy relenting to Heather's manipulation.
"And, despite Heather getting a lot of the votes, her power of persuasion and a technicality saved her from being booted once again and assured Ella's demise." Mike helping Ella with her key is shown, along with Lindsay and Tylers confession of their votes.
Chris emerges from his camper, whipping his hair into shape as he gives the camera a wide smile. "Who's gonna stop Heather from manipulating everyone into submission? And will Brick ever stop running laps around the camp?"
"Neverrrrr!" the cadet yells as he zooms by the host, Chris watching him go with a blank look. "Figured as much. Find out everything else right now, on Total, Drama, Island!" he shouts with enthusiasm, the camera zooming out as the capstone theme ends, the island in full view.

Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine
You guys are on my mind
You asked me what I wanted to be
And now I think the answer is plain to see
I wanna be famous
I wanna live close to the sun
Well pack your bags cause I've already won
Everything to prove nothing in my way
I'll get there one day
Cause I wanna be famous
(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

The island of Wawanakwa sits peacefully under the sun, yet tension runs thick through the air as a suspenseful tune begins to play. Lindsay and Heather lounge out on the porch, Lindsay looking happy as she grabs a soda. "I can't believe you managed to get this from Jo! I love grape soda. It's like the only thing I've really been craving lately." She giggles as she takes a sip from the glass bottle, Heather rolling her eyes and turning her attention back to a piece of fabric.
"What I can't believe that Duncan somehow got into the cabin and slashed my shirt! Stupid delinquent." she mumbles, holding up a tattered red shirt with several holes and slashes in it. "You should relax Heather, that's not your only shirt." Lindsay nonchalantly tells the Queen Bee, who gasps and swipes the bottle from Lindsay and takes a long sip.
"Hey!" the blonde cries out as Heather spits the drink out and holds it in front of her in disgust."Ugh, how can you stand to drink that sugar water?" she scoffs as she tosses that bottle, a crash heard offscreen.

"Heather is my best friend." Lindsay happily tells the confessional camera. "Sure, she borrows my makeup, and my clothes, and calls me names…but that's because we're so close!" she smiles innocently.
(static)
"Who cares about friends? I'm here to win." Heather folds her arms, leaning back in her seat. "There's only shepherds and sheep, and Lindsay is a major sheep." Heather grins, putting her fingers on her head like horns. "Baaaaaaa!"
(static)
"I feel like she really respects my unique strategies and my input!" a chipper Lindsay leans back, a smile dressed on her face.
(static)
"I've got shoes with more brains than Lindsay." Heather laughs, flipping her hair behind her head. "But, she still is useful to me. And once she's outlived her usefulness, I'll dump her."
(static)
"Because we're BFF's. Best female friends!" The blonde finishes with a grin, eyes closed in happiness.

As the sun rises, a lone pine comes into view. The camera pans down, revealing the boys cabin resting below. Inside the cabin, Dave lays down on his bed, curled up and looking away from a nearby Duncan. "Look shrimp, I get that you're sad that the animal princess is gone, but you're really starting to freak the rest of us out. You haven't left the cabin in three days." the delinquent grumbles, Mike, Tyler, and Brick watching the interaction with piqued interest.
"Whatever, it's not like you could understand, plus why do you care? You picked on me all the time…" Dave mumbles, causing Duncan to frown in anger. He picks up the Normal Boy by the collar and holds him up. "Listen you idiot, I do know what it's like. And maybe if you showed some balls I wouldn't pick on you as much." he shouts, tossing the boy across the room.
A coughing Dave slowly gets up, and walks back toward Duncan. "And what do you want me to do?!" he shouts, prompting Duncan to give the boy a mischievous grin.
/
The campers all stand on the dock, Chris in front of the teens with hands on his hips. "Today's challenge is a classic game of hide and seek." Chris says, the camera cutting to the host. He lifts a hand and points to the group. "You'll have ten minutes to hide before Chef Hatchet comes looking for you." he grins, the man in question popping up on screen with an orange background.
"With his military background and advanced degree in manhunting," the camera splits and Chef is seen in a graduation robe, "he is uniquely qualified to make this game excruciatingly hard." the hulking man now stands on the dock, pulling a large water gun from behind him and pumping it in preparation to blast.
"What's with the squirt gun?" Duncan taunts, a red dot appearing on his forehead as he looks up in surprise. Chris laughs before continuing. "The lifeguard chair is homebase." the camera quickly pans over to the chair in question. "When he finds you, Chef will try to spray you." Chris walks over to the chair and pats the leg before continuing.
"If you avoid his blasts, you can try to run to homebase. But, if he catches you along the way, he'll douse you."
Chef grins at Duncan and Tyler, to which the delinquent scoffs. "Oooo so it's a little water. Are we supposed to be scared?" he mocks. "Would you mind demonstrating Chef?" Chris smiles darkly, to which the large cook laughs.
He pumps up the water gun, and turns away from the teens and aims. He fires a torrent of water at the host, Chef looking up in surprise as if he didn't mean to hit him. "Not on me dude!" Chris shouts from a faraway hill, a trail of water leading back to the group.
"Okay but how do we win this game sir?" Brick asks, the host walking back with his hair and clothes sopping wet. "You got three options. One, don't get discovered in your hiding place. Two, run to home base befor Chef blasts you. Three, once you've been caught, help Chef find other campers." Chef eagerly nods as Chris looks at the teens, beginning to wrap things up. "Do any of those three, and you'll win invincibility. Is that clear?"
"Uhhhhh…" Lindsay begins before the host interrupts. "You have ten minutes to hide…GO!" he throws his arm down in a starting motion, the nine campers immediately scattering as Lindsay still stands around in confusion. The blonde screams in terror and rushes off, the host and cook watching the teens disappear. Chris turns to the hulking man. "Think they'll win?" Chef laughs and shakes his head as he looks at his watch. "Not a chance."
/
Outside the cabins, Chris calmly walks up to the girls porch and opens the door, inside he approaches a poorly concealed Lindsay, an amused smile on his face. "Lindsay. You couldn't think of anything better than hiding under your bedsheets?" The girl gives the host a muffled laugh. "Ha! Fooled ya! This isn't even my bed."
He turns around, still smiling and puts a hand near his mouth. "Oh Chef Hatcheeet!" he calls out, the door slamming to the ground. Chef appears, snarling and holding his water gun. The camera cuts back to Lindsay, who screams at the top of her lungs and zooms out of the room. Chef runs up to the window to see the blonde running away in pure terror.
/
Jasmine peers behind her back, wary of watchful eyes as the camera zooms out to reveal the tall Australian prepping to climb a tree, a sac thrown over her back. With a grunt of effort, she leaps high into the air and lands on the first branch, looking up in determination.
/
In front of the communal bath, Lindsay screams and sprints inside, Chris camly following her. The blonde runs into an open stall, slamming the door behind her and stepping up onto the toilet. The host stops short and gives the camera a dumbfounded look, then raps on the door. "Knock knock." "Who's there? Lindsay responds. "The entire viewing audience." he continues. "The entire viewing audience who?" she peeks over the edge at the host who simply sighs. "Hey Lindsay? You're gonna have to do a lot better than this if you wanna win." He calmly leans on a nearby wooden door, rubbing his fingers in boredom. The door bursts open and the blonde runs off once again. Chris shakes his head in amusement. "My guess? She's a goner." he gets up and walks out, presumably to follow the blonde.
/
Deep in the woods, Tyler comes across a clearing, a bear cave embedded in a nearby cliff. A smile adorns his face as he makes his way over, but is quickly turned into one of panic as something grabs his tracksuit and pulls him in. "AHHHHH please don't eat meeeee! I can't go before fixing some parallel bars!" he cries, eyes closed as he grimaces in terror. Nothing happens, and he opens up his eyes to see Mike and Dave sitting around, watching as Duncan holds the jock, eyebrows raised.
"Uhh, it's a hobby I picked up?" The jock laughs nervously. Duncan rolls his eyes and drops the boy to the ground. "Whatever, I've got something to propose." he walks away, moving to the middle of the group. He turns, a mischievous smirk on his face. "Let's make a secret guys alliance." he proclaims, the other guys giving skeptical looks. "Aren't you already in an agreement with Jo?" Tyler questions. "I mean, I'd love a guy's alliance, but Jo is a powerful player. She'll find out one way or another. And if this is a guy's alliance, shouldn't Brick be here?"
"The meathead ran off before anyone, so he could be anywhere by now. The that's besides the point. I need Jo to get rid of Heather, and I can also learn everything she plans to do, giving us the complete advantage!" the delinquent exclaims, Mike looking away nervously. "Wow, I never really took you for the strategy type Duncan, that's awesome!" Tyler exclaims, Duncan leans in and sneers at the boy, fists balling. "What's that supposed to mean chicken boy?" Tyler gulps nervously before smiling awkwardly. "N-nothing."
Duncan backs up and sighs, looking annoyed. "It was actually the shrimps idea to do the guys alliance and use my pact with Jo against her." he points behind him to Dave, who smiles nervously and waves. "Whoa, you want to take down Heather?" Mike asks, now looking up in surprise. Dave nods, a dark look on his face. "I know I can't win a physical match with basically anyone, and I'm super paranoid of germs. But I can be pretty smart when I need to be."
"So, long story short, we are allying together to get rid of both Heather and Jo?" Tyler asks, Duncan nodding in agreement. "Count me in!" he says, putting a hand out. "Guy's alliance!" Duncan calls out and puts his hand in, and Dave follows suit. They turn to Mike, awaiting his hand to join theirs. "Mike? You gonna join?" Tyler questions.
Mike looks away from the group before responding. "I can't. I've got a lot on my plate right now, and a secret alliance would only add to the stress. Sorry, but I'm not joining. " he says, voice becoming almost steely as he finishes, walking away from the group. "I'm already strung around Heather's finger…" he mutters under his breath, exiting the cave.
"Fine, but just don't expect us to help you with anything else then!" Duncan calls out, angry at the boy leaving. "Guy's alliance on three. One, two, three!" The guys all raise their hand above their head, the pact now finished. "Okay, now beat it!" he commands the other two boys. "Wait what?" Dave shoots up, perplexed at the teens words. "I was here first, so go find your own spot to curl up in dweebs." he laughs and walks further into the cave, Dave sighing and following Tyler out of the cave.
/
Outside, the camera passes through some brush, revealing Chef walking through the woods, eyes constantly peeling left and right for any signs of the campers. Unbeknownst to him, Jasmine was leaping through the trees, watching the cooks every move. Chef whips around, holding his gun in front of him. Jasmine hides behind the thick foliage, Chef scratching his head in confusion before continuing on.
/
Zoey, now dressed in her green bathing suit attire, climbs down the ladder and into the lake near the safe zone. Swimming near the dock, she pulls a lilypad bound straw wrapped in seaweed out of her swimsuit, and sinks under the water, the lilypad and top of the straw remaining out of the water.
/
Dawn nervously tip-toes around the campsite, looking for something to hide in or under. She gasps in excitement when she sees a small gap underneath the deck and in between the foundation columns of the main lodge, just large enough for a petite girl to squeeze through. Her eyes blink as she peers from her hiding space underneath the porch, peering around for any signs of Chef.
/
Brick peeks up from a bush, brush on his head, and slowly gets up, bringing the whole bush with him. He takes a few steps before a snapping sound is heard, and he quickly falls to the ground and hides. He peeks out from his disguise to see nothing.

"In the army, I was always the best hider." Brick proudly proclaims to the confessional camera. "I won the camouflage and hiding contest we held on base three years running." he counts on his fingers before looking down in thought. "Although, I was never found the second or third time, I had to walk back to base before anyone seemed to realize I was gone." he pasues, looking down in thought. "I must've just been that good!"

Mike looks around, and smiles as he makes his way to an unknown source, unknowingly catching his foot on an exposed rope, beginning to drag the rope that holds the decorative lights that normally line the campfire pit.
/
Tyler walks towards the main lodge, and smiles as he looks up towards the roof. He rushes up to the rooftop, jumping off the deck and grabbing onto the edge of the tiled roof. He lifts himself up and onto the roof laying down as to conceal himself.
/
Dave, not knowing where else to hide, simply curls up in a canoe he happened to find, hiding himself from view as long as he didn't sit straight up. "This is gonna kill my spine.." he groans.
/
Back at the main lodge, Heather walks up and opens the door leading into the main lodge, looking around suspiciously. She closes the door behind her, not knowing Lindsay was watching her from a horrendous hiding spot behind a pole. She rushes up to the lodge, and open the door. Peering in, the camera pans as if it were part of the blonde, panning left to right, showing no sign of anyone in the building.
The camera cuts to Heather hiding underneath the main island, nervously looking around, unaware of Lindsay's head slowly popping into view from above the island. "Hey Heather!" she eagerly shouts, Heather jumping and slamming her head into the wood above. She rubs her head, an angry snarl on her face.
"Isn't it just great that we're both here? It's like we're connected!" she happily tells the seething girl. "WHAT are you doing here?!" she shouts, Lindsay's smile disappearing. "This is supposed to be my hiding spot! We are playing hide and seek not hide and group!" she shouts, arms raised above her head in frustration, the blondes eyes welling with innocent guilt.
/
Mike slowly walks toward an unknown destination, the rope still tangled around his foot. Suspenseful music plays as the rope pops off the wooden beams, making an even longer chain of lights dragging behind the boy.
The camera zooms out to show Chris watching the lanky teen walk by as the host begins to chuckle. "Ahhh, I love this show." he laughs, turning his attention back to the aforementioned Mike.
/
Outside the main lodge, Heather can still be heard shouting, Tyler laying on the roof with a concerned look. Cutting to inside the lodge, Lindsay and Heather are still standing in the kitchen arguing about their shared hiding spot. "This is a competition! Hide under some leaves, disguise yourself as a canoe, I don't care where you hide! Just don't hide with me!" the Queen Bee finishes, Lindsay frowning in shame. "But-" she is interrupted when the kitchen lights suddenly turn on. A large hand can be seen on the light switch, the camera zoominng out to show Chef cackling menacingly at the two girls.
(Fade to Commercial)
Chef cackles as he catches the two teens off guard, slowly walking towards them with his water gun raised. "This is my kitchen. And that means it's off limits!" he shouts. Heather scans for an escape route before pushing her ally towards the hulking man. "Take her instead!" the black haired girl shouts as she takes off for the door.
Lindsay stumbles into the hulking mans reach, but manages to dodge an swat by the cook and screams as she too makes her way towards the door. Chef sprints after the two, camera cutting to outside as Chef kicks the door down, watching as the two allies sprint towards the safe zone. He sprints after them, stopping a ways before the dock as he aims his sights at both as they dash closer towards the lifeguards chair.
Both girls continuously scream as they run for their lives, the camera panning to Zoey's makeshift breathing tube, the Indie Chick hearing the muffled screams with a concerned face. Cutting back to land, Heather and Lindsay near the lifeguard chair, but a torrent of water douses them before they are able to touch the wooden chair. Chef grins darkly and walks up to the two girls, planting a foot on the sprawled out pair and striking a victory pose.
/
Heather and Lindsay sit outside the main lodge, accompanying Chef in his pursuit for the rest of the campers. Ominous music plays as he carefully checks every area inside the lodge. He peeks up and into the chimney and sees nothing. He walks over to the tables and checks under each and every one, but to no avail. Just as he was about to leave, he hears a cough, and whips around. Seeing no one behind him, he slowly looks up, and sees Jo holding herself up between the ceilings wooden beams.
"Hey there big guy, guess you found me. But that doesn't mean I'll go quietly!" she shouts, falling dowwn from the beams, Chef diving out of the way as the jockette lands right where he had been standing. "Come on twinkle toes, show me what you got!" she challenges, bouncing up and down, fists out. Chef narrows his eyes, and rushes in with a battle cry, and the two exchange rapid blocks and blows, both landing hits on one another.
Chef takes a swing at Jo, who swiftly rolls away, and rolls up her sleeves. "I've been wanting to do this for a long time Chef." she grins, and charges at the hulking man. He takes another swing, but the jockette slides underneath his punch, and jumps up just as the cook takes a kick at her. "See ya later sucker!" she shouts as she opens a window, leaping through it and sprinting towards the safe zone.
Heather and Lindsay jump as the door is kicked down once more, and angry Chef shouting a war cry as he chases the jockette down the dock. He starts pumping up his water gun, and aims at Jo. However, just as the water shoots towards her, she slides underneath the stream, laughing at her triumph. Unfortunately for Jo, Chef wasnt aiming for her, but in front of her. "Nooooooo!" she cries, sliding right into the puddle, right past the safe zone, and into the lake. She grumbles as she hits the sandy bottom and happens to turn and notice Zoey underwater. Zoey puts her finger to her lips for Jo to keep quiet, who rolls her eyes but nods in understanding.
Unfortunately for Zoey, a hand reaches out and pulls her out of the water, Chef smiling darkly as he holds the Indie Chick out in front of him. "Nice try girl, but not good enough."
/
Mike's head pops up from behind a rock near the campfire pit, wiping his brow after seeing the area clear of people. Stopping suddenly, he sniffs the air and covers his nose while grimacing. "Ew, what the heck is that?" he turns and gasps as he sees a family of skunks watching him with curiosity. "Heyyy guys! Didn't mean to bother you! Hehehe…" Mike nervously calls out, the skunks inching closer every step he takes back.
As he goes to take another step back, the rope finally goes taught, and the camera cuts to the campfire pit as it knocks over one of the wooden posts. Mike watches in horror as it hits the oil drum, falling right next to the skunks. The skunks, now surprised by the sudden noise, spray their foul smelling odor at Mike, who cries out and falls to the ground. He groans as he stands back up, green fumes radiating off of him.
Just when he thought his luck couldn't get any worse, a glove appears and taps the boy on the shoulder. He turns, and sees that the glove is attached to a stick which is in turn held by none other than Chef. He starts to charge up the water gun, voice muffled under a surgical mask. "You know, I don't have to spray yo-"
"Just do it already!" Mike shouts, covering his nose from the smell. Chef nods, pointing the nozzle towards the boy, and letting a large torrent of water hit him. A soaked Mike sighs in relief when the smell appears to go away, but as soon as the smell disappears, it returns.
/
On the roof, Tyler sighs, bored and seeing no one in sight. "I must've done a really good job at hiding, no one's found me yet!" he pumps his fist, excited at how well he seems to be doing. A bird lands on the point of the roof, and the jock watches as it happily chirps. "Aww, what a cute little guy." he smiles, now crawling towards the peak of the roof. He reaches the bird, and it chirps happily once more.
He holds out his hand in an attempt to hold onto the bird, but instead it started to peck his hand. "AHHHHHH!" the jock pulls away sharply, and starts to slip due to the sudden motion. He trips over his own feet in an attempt to regain his balance, and falls off the roof and right onto an unsuspecting Heather. "What the-TYLER!" she shouts, the boy groggily sitting up as Heather struggles underneath him. "Tyler's here?! Where?" Lindsay gets up and looks around, the jock watching her in disbelief. "SERIOUSLY?!"
"You're so dead." Heather grunts, finally getting up from under the jocks form. He sighs, and walks away with Heather and Lindsay, who still peers around looking for 'Tyler'.
/
Dave peeks out of his canoe, scanning the beach for any sign of Chef. seeing no one, he puts his hands on his back and leans back, cracking sounds emanating from the boys back. "Ahhh, much better now." he peers around, and starts to go back into his hiding place. He freezes when he feels a hard object on the back of his head, and screams when Chef lets loose another round of water, sending the boy far up the shore. Heather walks up with Tyler and Lindsay in tow, joining Mike, Zoey, and Jo. "I found Tyler for you, so I guess that means I have invincibility!" she flicks her hair haughtily, the others groaning in annoyance, Jo especially angry.
/
Back at the main lodge, Dawn's eyes appear in the darkness underneath the porch. An animal cries out, and the mystic gasps as she rushes out towards the sound of the unknown animal. She rushes through some foliage, but when she gets to the source of the noise, Chef is seen blowing into what seemed to be a whistle, creating a wounded animal cry. "You're done Ms. Creepy Lady." he states, Dawn angry at the cook for tricking her.
/
Out in a clearing in the woods, Chef checks the wind direction by licking his finger and holding it up in front of him. He then gets low to the ground and licks the earth beneath him, noticing a lone green hair as he finishes his 'tracking'. He holds it up in his hand, and comes to a realization, smiling darkly as the camera zooms in on the hulking mans face.
/
"Where do you think Duncan could be?" Zoey asks a trailing Dave. He shrugs and looks around nonchalantly. "Who knows? He's bound to be somewhere dark and creepy, seeing as he was in juvie before he got on this show." Dave shudders, Zoey giving him a strange look. "Are you guys on good terms now? You wouldv'e scoffed and walked away if I had asked you that a while ago." she questions, but is interrupted when Chef brings out a flailing Duncan.
"Alright you caught me! Now let go!" the delinquent shouts, Chef dropping the boy on his butt. "I thinks that's everyone right?" Tyler suggests, Dawn shaking her head in disagreement. "Brick and Jasmine are still safe. They have the most experience in this challenge."
"Where could they be? I checked everywhere, even the water!" he frowns, rubbing his chin in thought. He gasps when he figures something out. "I forgot to check the trees! She probably waited for me to leave and make her move!" he shouts, running back towards the camp.
/
Intense music plays as Chef rushes towards the dock, feet moving swiftly across the ground, the campers not far behind him. He begins to pump up his water gun in preparation to shoot her down, but unknowingly plants his foot into an unsuspecting rope trap. The hulking man cries out as he is rapidly lifted up into the air, the water gun falling out of his hands and onto the ground.
The campers look on in shock and awe as Jasmine and Brick both emerge from their 'hiding spots', one from the trees and the other from his mobile bush. They give each other a fist bump, smiling as the cook struggles to reach the knot that keeps the rope wrapped around his ankle. "Looks like your trap worked to perfection Jasmine." the cadet salutes the tall Australian who laughs and waves him off.
"Well it was all thanks to your careful placement that he even landed in one!" she gives the cadet a nod, Brick blushing in embarrassment. "We better book it to the safe zone now. See you guys in a sec!" Jasmine shouts, the pair running off as the rest look at the two in amazement, Chef falling to the ground with a thud.
He rushes after the two, crying out as he releases a blast of water, but shooting too far to the right. He preps his water gun once more, but gasps as he sees both Brick and Jasmine already touching the safe zone, the campers pushing past Chef to cheer the two on. He gives the two a respectful nod, both nodding back in respect as well.
"Alrighty campers, the games over!" Chris announces as he watches the campers celebrate. "Time to pick a loser and send them home." he finishes, the teens carrying Brick and Jasmine away on their shoulders.
/
Inside the girls cabin, the remaining six girls awkwardly sit around one another, ready to talk about who they will vote for. "Okay, while I was dragging Tyler over to Chef, I heard something really interesting." Heather starts, Jo giving her a questioning look. "Spit it out already!"
"Shut up and let me finish!" she spits out, composing herself once more. "Tyler, Dave, and Duncan have formed a secret guys alliance, and that means they're probably going to vote one of us off to even the odds." she huffs, crossing her arms as the others digest her words. "So you want us to vote off one of our male friends to stop that?" Dawn asks, peering down from the top bunk.
"Yes, we need to make sure that the alliance has little to no power, otherwise they'll pick us off one by one. Do any of you really want that to happen?" the other girls look around and shake their heads, Dawn the only one to not comment. "Okay, then who do we vote off?" Zoey pipes up.
"Isn't it obvious? We need to get rid of Duncan!" Heather suggests, the others looking at her with agreement. "I'll second that." Jasmine comments, Lindsay nodding as well. "Yeah, me too!" Zoey, Dawn, and Jo however, seem to not agree with the vote. "I personally think we should get rid of Tyler. He's too friendly with the other guys, and he seems to be really attached to Lindsay." Jo comments loudly as the blonde in question stops painting her nails and looks up, confused at who the others are talking about.
"I'd rather not vote for any of the people remaining besides a certain two," Dawn states earning a glare from Heather, "but if I must, I too will vote for Tyler."
"Yeah, I guess I can vote for Tyler..." she comments, both 'sides' looking at one another in division. "Are you sure you wanna vote with them Jasmine? They'll just dump you after you vote with them." Dawn comments, the Australian shrugging. "It's true, we totally will." the blonde nonchalantly comments. "OW!" Heather elbows the girl, who falls to the ground, spilling her nail polish all over the decorative carpet. She gasps, horrified as the liquid rushes out of the bottle, never to be used again.

"That was a limited edition nail polish that I don't know if I can ever get again!" she vents, looking more angry than before. "Maybe, Heather isn't such a nice person after all!" she frowns deeply and crosses her arms.

On the dock, Tyler, Dave, and Duncan all huddle around one another, planning their elimination. "Alright, we can't vote off Heather because she has invincibility, and Jo is crucial to the plan. So who else should we vote for?" Duncan starts. Dave coughing before beginning. "I think Zoey should go. She's extremely athletic and gets along with basically everyone except you and Heather." he comments, Duncan rolling his eyes at the normal boys words. "I think you're right, Zoey is super skilled at everything she does, and she's not cocky about it either. I think she could be a threat." Tyler agrees.
"Okay, so we vote out Zoey and get one step closer to a guys only final three!" the delinquent confidently smiles, the three putting their hands in for a cheer. "Guy's alliance!" Duncan shouts, the other two cheering as they celebrate their newfound alliance.

Mike sits alone in the cabin, thinking hard about what he should do. "I know who I wanna vote for, but if I don't vote like Heather wants me to, she'll tell Zoey about my multiple personalities!" the boy grabs his hair in frustration. He sighs. "What am I gonna do?"

The island is basked in a faint glow, the only other source of light being the campfire. The usual suspenseful ceremony theme plays as the camera zooms in onto the fire, eight campers standing behind Chris as they eat their marshmallows. Duncan, Zoey, and Tyler all still await the host to call their name. Chris smiles as he holds up his plate, two marshmallows left on his plate. "You three racked up a lot of votes. I only have two marshmallows left on this plate." he starts, pointing to the remaining gooey treats, the three teens watching with anxiousness.
"One of you is going home tonight and cannot return…ever." he pauses, then grabs a hold of the second to last marshmallow. "Duncan, you're safe dude." Chris announces as he tosses the treat towards the delinquent, who pumps his fists in excitement. "The final marshmallow goes to…Zoey." he finishes, the music peaking and the Indie chick looks guilty about voting the jock off. "Really?! I was voted off before Heather?!" he points out in disbelief, the others looking away nervously, Mike looking especially guilty.
"You voted for me didn't you!" the jock accuses Mike, who backs up nervously. "I had no choice-"
"Whatever man, I guess it's my time to go if my friends and even Lindsay can't be trusted anymore." he sighs, packing his things and walking away, Duncan and Dave watching in shock as he leaves. They turn to see Heather smiling darkly at the two, waving her hand in a mocking way.
/
At the dock, Dave, Duncan, Brick, and Zoey all come to say goodbye to their friend. "Tyler! We're gonna miss you tons!" Zoey shouts, the others nodding in agreement. "Take care of Lindsay for me Zoey! She's being manipulated by Heather!" he calls out, waving as the boat drives away, Zoey looking guilty as her hand drops. "I will, don't worry." she mutters, walking away from the three boys.
/
Mike walks alone back to his cabin, when a shadow appears behind the wash house. He scans to see if anyone is there, and rounds the corner. Heather awaits the lanky teen, arms crossed. "Good job. You voted just like I asked you to." she smiles, Mike sighing in defeat. "Yeah, you've sure got a wrap around a lot of people here." he sctracthes the back of his head nervously, Heather smiling as she inches closer. "Don't worry Mike, I've still got big plans for the rest of these losers." she finishes with a smile. The camera zooming out to show the whole island, Heather's laughter echoing throughout.

Wow, I can't believe I made you all wait three weeks for this. I hope you haven't abandoned ship because of the delay. I still plan on finishing this story, but burnout and depression made it very hard to find time/motivation to write this chapter. Okay, with that out of the way, Tyler is now gone, Heather having tricked the others into voting for someone else other than Duncan. With Duncan and Heather now knowing he is vulnerable, who knows what Heather will do or what Duncan will do about this new revelation. Jo and he are her biggest competition left, and she still has something in play for Dawn and Dave, the dark horses of the competition at this point. I think you will enjoy characters like Jasmine and Brick the further they get in, stepping into a larger role as the cast number dwindles. As always, leave a review and let me know what you think! I miss hearing from you guys, and I'm happy to be back. See you all next week!
