Chapter 18

Author's Notes

Hello everyone! It has been an extremely long month for me. I'm hunting for a new job, wedding stuff is ramping up, and March Madness is happening, and it has been hard to find time to write. I'm hoping that while on vacation I'll have time to write and catch up to where I want to be! Anyways, it's time for the next Chapter in Total Mix-Up Island! I hope you're all excited cause I know I am! Now with regards to the reviewers,

romeoaifesili : I'm glad you're still invested! Yes I planned from the start to have Tyler make it much farther into his debut season than he did in canon. Heather is now in an extremely good spot now that the already small guy alliance is down to just two members. You're correct in assuming they'll need Brick or another's vote to keep Heather on her toes. In this chapter, you'll have to wait and see what happens!

Zeke the Prophet : Yes, Tyler is gone, but I'm glad you like this version of Tyler better than canon! I still want to develop him more so you will see him in the future.

millikan : Glad you enjoyed the episode! Tyler was a character I felt like they did dirty in canon at least until World Tour, so I wanted to fix that! And you'll have to wait and see what happens to Heather!

amit : I felt like I was putting off some characters, so I wanted an episode where they all got to have a part to play, and I hope to continue that balance for the rest of the season. Don't worry, Heather's comedic suffering will not stop! Hahahahaa!

Shuffollower : Yeah, Tyler has a lot to think about as he watches the rest of the competition from the sidelines, hopefully his time reflecting will clear some things up. Now that Heather knows about the guys alliance, her only true threats are Dawn and Jo, so unless anything drastically changes, she's in control of the competition. I think you'll like how the chapter turns out.

Gucci Mane LaFlare : Yeah the episode itself is just the characters choosing their hiding spots and Chef finding them fairly quickly afterwards, and I didn't want my chapter to be about someone sitting in a tree for a paragraph hahaha! I wanted to make Tyler better, so I'm glad the consensus is that he did better and was better than in canon. Poor Lindsay is too oblivious to see Heather is using her, but maybe after the 'tragedy' that happened last episode the veil might lift. I wanted someone other than the person in the water to win, I've read several fics where that seems to be the case so I wanted to switch it up.

Alright! I'm excited to continue on with this first season, so here is chapter 17 of Total Mix-Up Island!

(Start Episode)

The island slowly fades into view, the capstone starting to play as the camera pans over the island's expanse. "Last time on Total Drama Island," Chris begins, "our eleven remaining campers did their best Casper act and disappeared in a game of hide and seek!" he comments, the campers rushing into their hiding spots shown on screen as the host continues.

"Chef played hunter, and thanks to his expertise, he made little to no trouble in finding and dousing nearly every camper within the time limit. But, he still failed. We paid you to find them all Chef." he deadpans, the cook firing his water gun at Heather and Lindsay, pulling Zoey up from under the water, and fighting Jo inside the main lodge popping up on screen.

The host sighs before moving on. "Despite Chef's best efforts, Brick and Jasmine used their own expertise and outwitted him, making the two the winners of the hide and seek challenge!" he proudly announces, the scene of Chef being trapped by the cadet and Australian as they admire their handiwork.

"Heather once again managed to find a way out of getting eliminated by bridging tyler to Chef, giving her invincibility as well." Tyler falling off the roof and onto Heather is shown, the Queen Bee dragging the jock to Chef not too long after Chef found Dave.

"And, in a surprise move, Dave and Duncan formed a guys alliance with Tyler to take down Heather! They attempted to convince Mike to join, but he has juuust one too many secret alliances to add on another." The guys all huddle in Duncan's cave and talk, with Tyler, Dave, and Duncan all forming their secret alliance together.

"But just as soon as it was formed, Heather snuffed out the alliance by voting Tyler off!" he laughs, the girls arguing about who to vote for, and the alliance huddling on the bridge. Tyler is also shown accusing the others during his elimination, the jock waving to Zoey and the others as the boat of losers zooms off into the distance.

Chris and Chef stand on the dock, both giving the camera a wide smile. "Who's gonna survive? And who'll betray their friends?" Chef snickers at the host's statement before he continues. "Find out right now on Total, Drama, Island!" he raises his hands, the camera zooming out with each word, the island popping into view.

(Fade to Intro)

Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine

You guys are on my mind

You asked me what I wanted to be

And now I think the answer is plain to see

I wanna be famous

I wanna live close to the sun

Well pack your bags cause I've already won

Everything to prove nothing in my way

I'll get there one day

Cause I wanna be famous

(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

A frisbee zooms through the air, a hand grabbing the disc out of the air. The camera pans down to reveal the hand belonging to Zoey, who tosses it towards Brick. Mike, Jasmine, and even Jo and Duncan all stand on the beach with the others, joining in on the fun. Dave and Dawn watch from the ledge as Brick catches the disc and tosses it to Mike in one smooth motion, the lanky boy catching it with a grin.

"That wasn't half bad blockhead!" Jo shouts, giving the boy a smirk to which the boy bashfully smiles. "Me and my dad used to throw a frisbee around all the time when we were kids so I-" the cadet is interrupted when the disc hits him square in the face. "Yeah, I don't really care about that stuff ya nimrod." The jockette laughs, having thrown the disc at Brick while he wasn't paying attention.

A fly buzzes around an unknown person, the camera zooming out to show Lindsay and Heather on the dock, the former swatting at the fly while the latter lays down, hair over her face. The fly lands on Heather, and Lindsay uses this opportunity to slam the fly swatter down, smacking Heather's face, the fly floating away unharmed.

"Aww it got away.." Lindsay pouts, Heather sitting up, flipping her hair beck behind her head. "Hey Lindsay, can I see that for a sec?" she holds out her hand, the blonde reluctantly handing her the swatter. She quickly and repeatedly smacks Lindsay lightly across her face, the blonde holding her nose. "Now, make yourself useful and clip my toenails." the Queen Bee commands, holding up her nasty toes in front of Lindsay, the blonde cringing in horror.

Before she gets a chance to do anything, a shadow rapidly passes above the two, and they look up in awe. Jasmine swings towards the cast, a sack in one hand while holding onto a vine with the other. She lets go of the vine and lands with a thunderous crash, startling Dawn and Dave. "I brought some snacks guys! Dig in!" Jasmine proudly presents the sack full of apples, berries, and even oranges.

"Wow, nice haul Jasmine! Thanks a bunch!" Mike shouts, the group running over to the Australian. "Where'd you even find this stuff?" Duncan asks, picking up an orange with a raised brow. "Well, I got the apples and berries from the woods, but I got the oranges from Chris' campsite. Pretty easy to snatch if I do say so myself!" she grins, the delinquent grinning as well.

"Never took you for the stealing type." he remarks, the Australian nodding. "I think of it more like Robin Hood. I take it to give it." she finishes, bringing over the sack to Heather and Lindsay. "That includes both of you as well." Holding out the bag, Heather and Lindsay reluctantly accept Jasmine's offer and take fruit from the Australian.

Microphone interference blares, making the three girls cover their ears in agony. "Goood morning campers!" Chris announces jubilantly, the campers glaring at the loudspeaker. "Your next challenge starts in front of the arts and crafts center. Oh…and stop stealing my oranges, Jasmine." the host abruptly hangs up, Jasmine looking around at the other with a grin.

/

Hopping off a red ATV, Chris walks by a shabby shed and motions towards it. "Welcome to the arts and crafts center." The camera zooms out to show the cast all piled onto a small picnic table, unimpressed looks from all of them. "More like the Arts and Craps center." Jo snorts.

"Yeahh, it used to be an outhouse, but now it's where Chef parks his roadhog!" Chris smiles, turning and kicking the door down violently. He points to something inside, and Mike, Brick, and Duncan all peek around the corner to check it out. A heavy guitar riff plays as their faces light up, murmuring to each other. The camera switches to an inside shot of the shed, where a low riding apple red motorcycle sits pristinely inside the shack, orange flames painted on the side.

"Which brings me to your challenge. You'll be building your own set of wheels!" Chris announces, revving the air as he grins. "You can use anything you find from our bike depot." he continues, the camera panning to the right of the shed where a pile of parts lays. "We're making our own bikes?" Dave questions. "Once you're done collecting the necessary parts, you can trick 'em out however you want using stuff from the arts and crafts center." Chris finishes, putting on a military helmet. He hops on his quad to drive away, but stops before he makes it far.

"Whoever has the best design after you're done wins. And since I'm a nice guy, I'll even throw in a manual for you!" he smiles, tossing a mossy looking manual at Heather. "Good luck!" he shouts, driving away as Heather tosses the book away immediately. "It's fuzzy!" she screams, Jasmine grabbing the manual as it descends. "Ah, it's just some mold spots. You're fine." she quips, brushing off some dust as she opens the book.

"Finally, a challenge I can get behind!" Duncan smirks, pumping his fist in excitement. "I used to build bikes back home with my brothers all the time!" the delinquent confidently confesses, before coughing. "Okay, so maybe I stole 'em from the dweebs down the street and crashed them into the school's wall." he shrugs nonchalantly. "Point is, this is something I know." he finishes with a grin.

Brick, Duncan, and Dave sift through the large pile of parts, the girls already having grabbed their main parts. "I think I'm gonna build my dream bike!" the cadet happily tells himself, Lindsay gasping and walking towards him. "Ohmygosh, me too!" she innocently tells him. "Every Christmas I asked for a Sunset Sally bike, but…it never came." she solemnly says, walking away from the boys. Brick's eyes well with tears as a sad piano tune plays, the camera zooming in on the cadets heartbroken face.

"It…never came?" he asks, voice cracking in sadness. A hand appears on his shoulder, camera rapidly zooming back out and the music cutting off. Duncan pulls him close, not amused. "Look Santa man, I need you to focus. The enemy is playing you like a fiddle, and to keep yourself in the game you need to be strong! Got it?!" he shakes the cadet violently, dropping him to the ground after finishing his speech.

"I managed to wrangle that footsoldier into the guys alliance by using some stupid excuse about a 'tactial defeat' if he didn't join." Duncan air quotes, laughing and palming his head. "What a malleable guy. Still, I need his vote to take down Heather, and then I can get back to messing with these losers." he grins.

(static)

"Duncan was desperate enough to get Brick's help in his 'guys alliance'." she smiles cockily at the camera. "Unfortunately for them, they still think Lindsay is my only ally left on the island. It's hilarious how easy it is sometimes. I don't even have to build my bike."

Jasmine and Zoey were talking to Lindsay, when Heather leans in from out of frame and puts a hand on the blonde. "Can I borrow her for a sec? Thanks!" she quickly spouts, wrenching her away from the others and towards the shed. She looks around before slowly opening the door. "See the motorcycle with all the fancy exhaust and nitro?" pointing to the roadhog behind her. "I want you to dismantle it." she whispers, handing Lindsay a wrench.

"But I wanna work on my own bike first…" she protests, Heather quickly interrupting. "But I need you to help me out! Think about it like this. If I can't race, I can't help you win or protect you!" she sweetly tells her, Lindsay looking away hesitantly. "We're BFF's aren't we?" Heather pleads, hands clasped together.

(static)

"Okay, Heather has been really trustworthy! She would never do something that would make me question her…that I know of…" the blonde thoughtfully finishes.

Lindsay happily nods, the Queen Bee smiling as she grabs her shoulders and aggressively throws her into the shed. "Make it quick!" she shouts, slamming the door and locking it. She turns to see the other girls approaching, and she steps in front of the door. "You guys are gonna have to wait. Or, you could just leave because there's no chance of you winning!" she huffs. Suddenly, white goop drops from above and lands right in Heather's hair. The camera pans up, a seagull moving its butt away from the edge. She screams, running away as the other girls watch in amusement.

Back by the common area between cabins, the boys start to assemble their parts together. Duncan repeatedly slams a hammer onto a wheel frame, Dave works on making some protective gear, Mike pumps up a tire, and Brick attempts to put the main chain link onto the bike gears. As Brick struggles with pulling the chain taught, it breaks and sends the cadet falling to the ground, the others watching with somewhat amused expressions.

/

Inside the arts and crafts hut, Lindsay has slowly disassembled nearly half of the motorcycle, setting the engine and tailpipe aside as she continues to work, grease on her arms and face. Hearing a squeaking sound, she looks out from underneath the table. To her surprise, she sees Dawn and Zoey climbing through the window and sitting down by Lindsay.

"What are you guys doing in here? If Heather finds out, she'll kill you!" she nervously tells the two newcomers, standing up and approaching them.

"Friend Lindsay, we must talk with you about something much more important than Heather's wrath." Dawn fiercely says, Zoey nodding in agreement. "It's something Tyler wanted us to tell you." the Indie Chick pleads, Lindsay going wide eyed at her words. "You mean you heard from Tyler before I did? That's so mean!" she pouts, the two girls facepalming at her air headed comment.

"Lindsay, Tyler was here until our last challenge! Did you really not know who that was?" Zoey bewilderedly asks. "Actually, she just pretends Tyler isn't here so Heather doesn't make her more stressed than she already is." Dawn states, unaware of the looks she was receiving. "H-how did you know that?!" Lindsay slowly asks, wide-eyed. "Haven't I told you before? I can read people's auras!" the mystic simply replies. "But it matters not, Tyler wanted us to look after you and keep you safe from Heather!" she proclaims.

Lindsay cocks her head, looking at the petite girl with a peculiar look. "From Heather? Why would I need to be kept safe from my BFF?" she questions, an awkward smile on her face. Dawn looks at Zoey in confusion as to what the blonde meant. "BFF's. Best female friends." she explains. "Lindsay, Heather is using you. She's manipulating you to help her win, and when she doesn't need you she's just gonna dump you! Please listen to what we have to say!" Zoey pleads.

"Listen, you guys need to go." is all Lindsay replies before turning away. "I don't need more stress on my plate, no matter what happens." walking away, she comes to a stop by the bike and resumes dismantling it. "You girls should go before Heather gets back. I don't want you to get yelled at because you came to see me."

"But-" Zoey starts, Dawn grabbing her by the arm and shaking her head. "Her aura is all over the place. We've done all we can. Now we must let the universe take its course. Let's go join the others." she explains, Zoey and Dawn exiting the way they came.

/

Outside the shed, Heather walks back to the shed's entrance, the door flying open. Caught by surprise, Heather frowns when she realizes it's only Lindsay. "Look!" I found this ugly doll with pretty hair! Just like you!" she happily holds up a raggedy looking doll, dirt and mud caking the body, the hair dark and still in good condition.

(static)

"Sometimes, I say things without thinking, and people take it the wrong way." she explains, flicking her hair behind her shoulder. "Like this one time, I told my teacher his new wig looked like my dog's butt, and he didn't take it well." she frowns slightly from the memory. "But my dog has like the cutest, curliest butt! It was a compliment!" she happily sighs.

(static)

xxx

"Haha. Very funny." she deadpans. "Just make sure you focus on my bike so I can protect you from the vote tonight." Lindsay nods as Heather turns and walks away, Lindsay looking around to make sure no one noticed her as she headed back inside the craft house.

(static)

"I think Heather might've not liked my earlier comment, but I just love her hair!" She sighs, dreamily staring off into the distance. "But I love my own hair more." She quickly refutes, smiling awkwardly at the camera.

A ways away from the cabins, the four boys have made significant progress on their bikes, the frames mostly built with some putting tires on and Mike working on attaching his pedals. Next to a tree, Dave wraps some wires around several metal rods, planting them in the ground and connecting the end to a small black box.

"What's with the science experiment?" Dave looks up to see Duncan and the other guys staring his way. "Oh, I- uh…it's a way to charge a battery that's dead. I found a battery in the pile of garbage and I need to recharge it if I wanna use it." He awkwardly tells the group.

"Does it work at all?" Brick asks, setting his pedals down and walking towards the wires. "Wait don't-" was all Dave got out before Brick touched the copper, sending hundreds of blue volts through the cadets body.

A sizzling and blackened Brick groans as he stumbles back over to his bike, slamming into the ground. "It works great…" he squeaks out.

Duncan busts out in laughter, holding a hand to his head. "That was wicked! You gotta teach me that!" he grins, Mike and Dave trying to hold back some laughter as well.

The loudspeakers ring with interference, and the four teens look up in attention. "Campers, time to judge your bikes!" Chris announces. "Put your pedal to the metal, and meet me at the craft center." he finishes, the loudspeaker shutting off. The boys look at each other before scrambling to assemble their bikes in time, parts flying everywhere in comic fashion.

/

"Okay campers, we gave you the parts, now let's see what you got!" Chris smiles, walking up towards Heather. A simple, yet aerodynamic bike stands before the host, its wooden frame expertly built, a green box wired up to the pedals. In the middle of the handlebars, a red button sits just waiting to be pressed. "Excellent aerodynamics Heather." he comments, the Queen Bee puffing out her chest proudly. "It only weighs two ounces!"

"Yeah, just like your brain princess!" Jo comments, the camera panning over to the jockette standing behind a very simple bike, the frame thick and the tires small. "Uh Jo? Can you even drive this thing? There's no pedals." Chris questions the jockette, who smiles and flexes. "Who ever said I was gonna pedal? All I need is my leg power to beat these wimps!" she confidently tells the host, who smiles and shrugs. "Alright then."

/

A skull ornament appears on screen, the camera zooming out to show a low riding bike, the frame a mixture of wood and metal, a speaker in the back and the tires extra wide. Surprisingly, there were no pedals on the bike either, but Duncan didn't seem to be worried. "Wicked mad max bike dude!" Chris comments in amazement, Duncan grinning in satisfaction.

/

A pink pony decorates the front of another low riding bike, designed like a three wheeled bike. "Isn't she adorable?" Lindsay comments, pointing towards the bell on the handlebar. "Go ahead, ring it!" she happily tells the host, who obliges and rings the small bell, Lindsay eeking in excitement. "I've always wanted a Sunset Sally bike, and I got to make my very own!" she jumps up and down in glee.

/

"What the heck?!" Chris gapes at Dave's bike, the wooden frame covered in wires that connect to a battery. Above the battery, two tesla coils sit on the back of the bike, crackling with electricity. The wheels were clear, with more coils pulsing with electricity visible within as Dave nervously laughed. "Is it too much?" he asks, Chris smiling wide. "Dude, this has got to be the coolest bike i've ever seen!"

/

Brick looks down at his bike, a proud smile on his face. A very sturdy bike is in front of him, but more than two wheels are present on the front and back sections. "Dude, training wheels? On both ends?!" Chris looks up at the cadet with a sly grin. Brick's face turns red and starts to sweat, nervously tapping his fingers together. "I-I never learned how to ride a bike ok?!" he cries out.

/

"Uh Dawn," Chris begins, putting out a hand in concern, "are you sure this thing is safe?" The camera cuts to Dawn in the lotus position, on top of a metal unicycle. "Why yes, I use one at home to help perfect my balance and channel my inner ki." she states, eyes opening and giving the host a sly grin.

/

Jasmine sits atop her ride, Chris smiling in amusement as the tall Australian struggles to adjust her seat on an extremely high up bike. "A bit tall?" Chris grins, Jasmine groaning in annoyance. "I made the bike too tall, and now I can't adjust the seat to make it work…even for me!" she grunts, and gets the seat to lower, but slams it too hard, and bends the middle of the frame. "Oops…"

/

Mike and Zoey stand together, both bikes standing next to their respective makers. "You guys seemed to have a similar design in mind." he comments, both bikes looking nearly identical to one another. Both were slim wooden frames with bigger tires and curved handlebars, except one was blue while the other was red with flowers on the handle bars. The two teens blushed and looked at each other before awkwardly laughing. "Yeah, I guess it's a crazy coincidence." Mike smiles.

"Well, either way, it doesn't matter…this is where things get good." he raises a finger, and continues his explanation. "You're gonna race 'em! Hard!" he shouts, closing his raised hand in excitement.

"Perfect! My bike was built for speed, right Lindsay?" Heather turns around towards the blonde, who nods her head happily. "Yeah, unfortunately, you won't be riding it." Chris interrupts. "You'll be switching your bikes!" he happily tells the teens, the camera panning over their gaping faces. Chris sighs in amusement. "Sorry, cruel twist huh? See you at the beach!" he shouts, popping up on screen before it fades to black.

(Fade to commercial and back)

The Wawanakwa cliffside looms in the distance, the camera slowly zooming in on the coastline. Cutting to the beach, Chef holds up a red flag while reading a book, the campers lined up in front of a makeshift starting line. Chris rolls up to the ten campers on his ATV, stopping short of the line. "Here's how this is gonna work." the host pulls out an old orange bike helmet, presenting it to the teens. "Whoever's name you pull out of this hat is who's bike you'll be riding." he starts, Heather deeply frowning as she and the other campers reluctantly come up and pick out a slip of paper.

"If your bike crosses the finish line, you'll race in the final round for invincibility." he finishes, Lindsay rushing over to Heather. "Hey look! I'm riding your bike!" she proudly holds up the paper, Heather's frown quickly disappearing. "Perfect. Just make sure you cross the finish line with my bike. And if you feel like you aren't moving, press the red button." she whispers to the blonde, a dark grin on her face.

/

The racers line up, their faces a mixture of happiness and dread. Duncan was riding Brick's 'Baby Boy Bike', Zoey was with Lindsay's 'Sunset Sally', and Mike ended up with Zoey's 'Basic Bike: RED'. Dave sat atop Duncan's 'Lethal Weapon', Lindsay happily sat upon Heather's 'Speed Machine', and Jo frowned as she was stuck with Jasmine's 'Kilimanjaro'.

Heather got stuck with Dawn's 'Univercycle', Brick was atop Jo's 'Flintstone', Dawn rode Mike's 'Basic Bike: BLUE', and Jasmine nervously sat aboard Dave's 'Tesla I'.

"Racers, on your marks," Chris said, the campers eyes narrowing in preparation, "And…GO!" he shouts, Chef lowering his flag, and the teens start their race. Dawn and Lindsay zoom ahead, the others not far behind, even Brick surprisingly. Jasmine and Dave however, were not having such good luck. Both of them looked at their bikes with confused expressions. "So Dave, how exactly do I make this bike…go?" the Australian asks the Normal Guy, who looks up from his own bike and points to the middle of the frame.

"There's a button underneath that clump of wires." he states, looking over his own bike before smiling in knowing.

/

Farther down the coastline, Duncan is now catching up to the rest of the group. "This bike is totally lame, but man does it ride smooth!" he shouts. "At least you can pedal!" Brick shouts, rushing towards the delinquent with his bike in front of him. Wait, Brick, you're gonna-" Duncan protests, but it was too late. The cadet kept his head down while running, smashing right into Duncan, both bikes crashing and flinging parts everywhere.

"Epic wipeout nerds!" Jo shouts, driving the bent and barely functional 'Kilimanjaro'. She laughs, not noticing the rocks ahead of her that cluttered the beachfront. She hits the rocks, and her bike starts to wobble, the bent frame starts to bend even more, and snaps in half. The jockette cries out as she tumbles to the ground, dust kicking up as she rolls along the sand, glaring as she watches the other campers ride by.

Back at the starting line, Dave hops onto his hot rod, and pulls the skull ornament, which starts up the engine hidden within. It roars to life, and Dave cries out as he flies forward, cheeks rippling from the speed. Cutting to Jasmine, she presses the middle button, and the tesla coils start pouring out electricity, the wheels glowing blue as the electricity flows through the wires, and the 'Tesla I' takes off at an extremely fast speed, Jasmine's hat flying off and floating down at the starting line.

In an aerial view of the island, Dave and Jasmine can be seen kicking up so much dust their bikes are invisible. They race around half of the island, rapidly zooming past Chef, burying the cook in a mound of sand. They continue to race around the island at breakneck speed, both crying out in shock as to how fast they are going. Cutting back to Chef, Lindsay and Zoey cross the finish line, who is somehow aware and waves his flag, indicating the top four finishers. Dawn and Heather also finish, and Chris rides over to the finish line as triumphant music plays in the background.

"What a finish! We have our four finalists!" Chris announces. "Three wicked wipeouts, two speed demons, and two other finishing participants!" he smiles. "Look out!" Jasmine can be heard shouting, the camera cutting to her and Dave rapidly approaching the other campers. "Slam the hood ornament!" Duncan shouts, Dave nodding in understanding, before turning to Jasmine. "Press the brake on the right!" he yells to the Australian, who also nods in understanding.

Both press their respective brakes, and after skidding to a stop, both teens fly off into the sand, Jasmine slamming into Chef. "Wicked wipe out you guys!" Chris calls out, turning back to the rest of the campers who had gathered around the host. "Our four finalists are as follows: Heather and her 'Speed Demon', Lindsay and her 'Sunset Sally', Dave and his 'Tesla I', and Duncan and his 'Lethal Weapon'." Chris proclaims, the camera panning over the winning bikes and their respective owners. "Meet me in the woods for our final race at our Total Drama BMX course." Chris shouts, driving off into the woods on his ATV.

Lindsay walks over to Heather, both seemingly in good spirits. "So is this the part where you save my butt from elimination?" she asks, Heather pulling her close. "Not yet. We still need to win this part of the challenge before we can worry about that."

/

Dawn, Jasmine, Mike, Zoey, Brick, and Jo all sit atop a hill next to the dugout course, amused looks on their faces as they see what's in store for their fellow contestants. The four remaining campers all arrived with their bikes in tow. "Wow that's actually a really well designed bike Lindsay!" Dave comments, the blonde smiling back at the Normal Boy. "Thank you! I like how yours lights up a bunch!" she replies, Dave smiling awkwardly and blushing in embarrassment.

Duncan quickly grabs the boy's ear, and despite his protests, pulls him away from Lindsay. "Listen dweeb, you need to focus on the issue here." Duncan frowns, Dave grunting in pain. "Okay okay I get it. No talking." he grumbles. A motor can be heard as Chris drives on screen, stopping in front of the campers.

"Campers! Welcome to the MOTO(moto) CROSS(cross) CHALLENGE(challenge)(challenge)!" he shouts, the screen splitting every time he shouts, a voice filter making him sound almost echoey. "Alright, the rules are simple. Navigate this course while avoiding the dangerous death traps!" he smiles, turning and cupping a hand over his mouth. "Cue explosives!" on the hilly track, explosions rock the ground, craters left where the road once was. "You'll have to navigate those mines all over the course, through the large oil slick," the camera cuts to the ground covered in the substance, "and…leaping over the piranhas!" he finishes, a ham hanging over a fairly large pool, and piranhas leap out and rip apart the meat.

"Oh, and the winner of this race…will receive invincibility!" he shouts, the four campers grinning hearing the news. "And one final thing," Chris continues, "whoever comes in last will immediately be voted off the island. No bonfire ceremony, do not pass go, no marshmallow for you." As Chris finishes, the camera cuts back to the campers who now have nervous looks dressed on their faces.

Heather and Lindsay look at each other before Heather leans in and begins to tell Lindsay her plan. "Okay, here's the plan. I'm gonna have you go through the mines first."

"Okay…"

"Then I'll need you to get through the oil slick so I can see how to get through it." she continues.

"Yeah but-"

"Then the last part is a cinch! Just distract the piranhas long enough for me to slip through!" She smiles, Lindsay now unsure. "But that means you'll win!" she points out, Heather putting a hand on her shoulder. "Exactly. One of us has to win to keep the other safe from future eliminations." Lindsay frowns before speaking her mind. "I'd like it if I won a challenge for us for once if that's okay." she smiles softly, but Heather shakes her head.

"Yeah but then, who would come up with all of our strategies for the next rounds?" she questions, Lindsay hunching over but nodding in understanding.

"You'll be fine! You'll come in second after you clear a path for me, and all we have to do is make sure Duncan or Dave loses!" she smiles again, Lindsay now more cheerful after hearing those words. "You're right! I'll totally come in second!" she shouts happily.

(static)

"I'm so lucky to have Heather with me. I'm happy I can call her my friend." She smiles at the camera before frowning. "I can't believes Zoey and Dana would tell me to stay away! Unless…they're jealous!" she giggles.

(static)

"I have no way of knowing she'll come in second. But in this game, invincibility is everything. And I'll do whatever it takes to win." Heather comments nonchalantly.

"Can you taste the marshmallows?" she looks over at Lindsay who is now daydreaming. "Mmmm yes!" she dreamily replies.

"Racers, to your positions!" Chris announces, the teens lining their bikes up at the white line. "And…GO!" he shouts, swinging his arm down, and the final race begins, intense music building.

Duncan was the first one to make it to the narrow slopes, the mines a second late as he hops over every mound, the camera cutting to a frontal view as the delinquent races towards the camera with explosions behind him. Lindsay hops over one slope and got a graciou explosion, sending her over the rest of the first obstacle and closer to Duncan.

Back at the start, Dave awkwardly stands on his bike, Chris looking at him with confusion. "Uh, dude? You're gonna lose if you don't…go." he comments, Dave sighing in defeat. "Yeah about that…my bike had enough juice for one go, and the pedals flew off during the first race. So…I'm kinda stuck." he sighs, lowering his head in shame.

On the oil slick, Duncan's bike has trouble keeping traction, and quickly loses its balance and slides from underneath the delinquent, leaving him slipping through the oil while his bike goes off course, an explosion signifying its demise. Lindsay however, had a broom for a tail, and did a wheelie through the oil while also clearing a path for Heather, who easily makes her way through. Lindsay whoops and cheers as she approaches the piranha section, a nervous look on her face. In a split second decision, she slams on her brakes, causing her to slide across the water, just making it to the other side.

Half in the water, she looks back to find Heather fast approaching, giving her a wary look. Heather frowns, but looks down at her trump card. She presses the red button, and a revving sound is heard. Her green box emits some smoke, and her bike accelerates at a rapid pace. Wind flying through her hair, she jumps the pond, slow motions added as Lindsay watches in amazement as Heather clears the pool, a wide grin on the blondes face. The Queen Bee zips past the finish line, and Lindsay follows not soon after.

"And the winner of the bike race is…Heather!" Chris announces, the teens who watch groan in defeat and annoyance. "You did it, you won!" Lindsay shouts happily. "That means we both get to stay!"

"Not necessarily." Chris interrupts, walking towards both girls with a small smile on his face. "While it's true you cross the finish line, Duncan wiped out and Dave can't even move his bike, meaning they cant cross the finish line at all!." he explains, the camera moving to both boys as they frown in disappointment. "And since Heather was the first to cross," he continues, "that makes you the last to cross!" he grins, looking at the girls. "It's docl of shame time Lindsay!"

"Okay, I'm so confused." Lindsay holds a hand to her chin, Heather standing behind her with a gleeful grin. "It means that the only way I can save you is by giving you my invincibility, but I can't do that…too risky." she walks away from the blonde. "You understand." As she leaves, Lindsay's hand wraps around her arm. "But I won…I built your bike for you!" she spouts, Heather laughing nervously. "I don't know what she's talking about." Duncan and Dave make their way towards the pair, the others walking over from up top to see what's going on.

"You should just leave with your dignity intact. You'll seem mush cuter in the replays." Heather sneers. The teens gasp, and Lindsay looks hurt. "But, we were gonna go to the final three together!" she says in a hurt tone. "Guess not." Heather coldly replies. "Aren't you even mad at all? I mean we're BFF's!" she pleads.

"Yeah for the contest. It's not like we're gonna be best friends for life or anything." Heather answers, Lindsay gasping loudly at her words.

"I can't believe she said that!" she shouts in disbelief to the confessional camera.

"I can't believe you just said that! We even pinky swore!" the blonde shouts, holding up her pinky finger to a still smirking Heather. "You mean all this time I've been helping you and you don't even like me?!" she angrily shouts. "Truth?" Heather asks before continuing. "Not really." the campers gasp, the teens up top glare down at Heather, Jo watching with a small smile.

"We're not here to make friends people! We're here to become celebrities." she shouts to the audience of people now around her. "That's cold dude." Duncan comments, Heather scoffing at his words. "Like you have any right to say anything. You just go around scaring everyone." she retorts, Duncan now glaring. "At least I'm straight with people!" he argues. "Whatever. I have invincibility. You can't touch me." she cockily tells the campers, walking away as they all mutter amongst themselves.

"You really are mean!" Lindsay shouts. "And all that bad stuff people say about you is true!" she balls her fists and closes her eyes. "Like how you're a two faced, backstabbing, lying little-" what came out of Lindsay's mouth next was so foul, they had to bleep it out and cover up her hand as she was making a certain gesture. Chef and Chris' eyes go wide, as do Dave's and Bricks, Jo smiling in sheer amazement at the blonde's insults.

Heather looks shaken as Lindsay continues. "I always stood up for you and told them they were wrong. I even pushed away Zoey and Dawn because they didn't trust you! I thought we were BFF's…but they were right!" she throws her hands up in frustration as she continues. "You really are a two faced, backstabbing, lying little-" the censor starts up once more, and ot gets so bad that even Duncan is watching her with wide eyes.

A loon in the lake looks back as it too hears the blonde's censored insults, and Chris watches this all go down, a smile never leaving his face. "And guess what! I don't wanna be BFF's with you anymore! I'd rather spend my days running laps with Brick than go shopping with you!" she points an accusing finger at the black haired girl. "And PS, those shoes are tacky!" she finishes, Jo and the others cheering as Heather seethes in anger. "Yeah that's right! You tell her blondie!" the jockette laughs, Heather glaring her way. "Oh, go jump in the lake." she grumbles, walking away from the group.

As the sun sets behind the island of Wawanakwa, the remaining nine campers see Lindsay off. She arrives with a duffle bag in tow, the others watching her with solemn looks, minus Heather. "Bye Dana, bye Zoey! Thanks for warning me about Heather. I really wish we could've become great friends." she tells the two, who embrace her in a hug. "No it was my fault for not warning you sooner friend." Dawn steps back and wipes a tear away. "We're gonna miss you tons." Zoey tells her, the blonde smiling and moving on. "Bye you guys! See you all at the finale!" she calls out to Brick, Jo, Duncan, Jasmine, and Mike. They wave as she passes by, stopping at Dave who watches as she approaches. "Kick Heather's butt for me would ya? We both fell for her tricks." she tells the Normal Guy, who nods and gives her a hug. She lets go after a moment, finally meeting Heather at the end of the dock. "Good luck Heather. I hope you get everything your karma will deal you." she tells the girl, who simply huffs and turns away. "Okay," Lindsay breathes in calmly, "I think I'm ready." she tells Chef.

The campers wave her off as Lindsay rides away into the distance aboard the boat of losers, the sun glistening on the lake as she disappears over the horizon.

XXXX

So, just like in canon. Lindsay has been eliminated after Heather tricked her, and she then blew up in her face. Not much else plot wise happened or needed to happen this episode, sothe next episode will have tons of plot and other developments moving forward. I wanted to keep it censored simply because then it allows for more freedom to make up what she says to Heather. I know I would not do that scene justice if I tried to write out what she said anyways. SINGLE DIGIT NUMBERS from here on out! That's pretty crazy if you ask me! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, see you all soon!
