Chapter 20
Author's Notes
Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of Total Mix-Up Island! We're getting super close to the end with only 8 campers remaining in contention! I'm very excited to show you all how this story pans out.
With regards to the reviewers,
Gucci Mane LaFlare: Glad to see you enjoyed Brick! I hope to use him better in the upcoming season(s), so stay tuned! I'm glad to be back as well!
Zeke the Prophet: Glad to be back! Yeah, I didn't want to have too many overarching storylines, so unfortunately that meant Brick didn't get a ton of meaningful interaction. Mike and Zoey are so close to confessing! Unfortunately Heather and fate don't want that…yet ;)
Shuffollower: Yes, Brick was underused in my opinion as well, I plan on doing more with him! You'll have to wait and see if a villain goes home today, there are a lot of villain characters to choose from.
millikan: Glad to be back! Yes, Brick leaving was appropriate, I hope to use him more as well. There are quite a few villain characters left, so you'll have to wait and see when the next one gets the boot!
Alright, with all that over, let's get into Chapter Twenty of Total Mix-Up Island!

(Start Episode)
"In the last episode of Total Drama Island," Chris starts the broadcast with his usual chipper voice, the camera fading into a shot of the whole island. The capstone theme plays in the background as he continues. "Our campers starred in their own horror movie!" the host says in a spooky tone, scenes of Chef and Chris leaving the campers behind, and the gathering at the campfire played on screen. "After abandoning the campers and 'stranding' them, they learned that they had to survive the threat of a crazy psycho killer with a chainsaw and a hook…otherwise known as Chef." he laughs, Chef walking around in his killer costume, waving his chainsaw as he chased Mike and Zoey.
"Mike and Zoey went through some 'couples conflict' and ended up being the first one's caught by our resident killer." he sighs, a clip of Mike and Zoey walking through the woods alone, and Chester holding Zoey in front of him like a shield.
"After Chef narrowed down the victims by 'slashing' them," Chef is shown bringing Dawn, Zoey, Heather, and Mike to the tent, "and leaving only three campers left who were brave enough to face him." he finishes, Duncan, Jo, and Jasmine all shown sitting by the firepit, talking to one another. "Jo and Duncan ended up ditching Jasmine to challenge the psycho killer, and ended up beating our cook in close combat!" Chris muses, laughing as the clip of Duncan throwing the fish at Chef is played, followed by Jo tossing the delinquent at the cook.
"Ahahahahaa, ohhh that was hilarious!" the host laughs, still chuckling when Jo takes the chainsaw from the dock, a sadistic grin on her face. "I am a little concerned about how Jo looked with that chainsaw however." he continues, before the clip of Jasmine talking to the real killer is played. "But, somehow the real killer ended up on the island and ended up confronting Jasmine!"
Jasmine is shown now slowly backing away from the killer, unsure if he posed a real threat to her or not. The rest of the cast then bursts through the door, and it cuts to Jasmine punching the convict right in the jaw. "Wooow, now that's a punch!" Chris comments. "Jasmine ended up winning invincibility with her heroics, and Brick the cadet was sent home, for being scared of the dark." Chris snickers, the boy saluting his fellow campers as the boat drove off into the distance.
"With only eight campers left, the stakes are higher than ever!" The camera finally cuts to the firepit, the host smiling behind his oil barrel. He points at the camera before continuing. "Find out what happens next, right here, on Total, Drama, Island!" Chris shouts, the camera zooming out with every word. The island is shown in its full glory, the capstone theme swelling as it finishes.
(Fade to Intro)
Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine
You guys are on my mind
You asked me what I wanted to be
And now I think the answer is plain to see
I wanna be famous
I wanna live close to the sun
Well pack your bags cause I've already won
Everything to prove nothing in my way
I'll get there one day
Cause I wanna be famous
(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)
(End Intro)
The island fades into view, the sun high in the sky. It was a cloudless day, yet intense and suspenseful music faded in.
/
The eight remaining campers walk across the campground together, all relatively quiet as they make their way to an unknown destination. Zoey walks next to Dawn, the two smiling as they talk to each other. A hand reaches out and lands on the Indie Chicks shoulders. She turns her head and frowns slightly, the camera panning over to show the hand belongs to Mike. "Hey Zoey, uh I got you something…for last week.." he trails off, looking awkward as he pulls a few flowers from behind his back and presents them to her.
Zoey looks at the flowers, then at Mike, and then at Dawn. The mystic nods in approval, and Zoey gives the lanky boy a soft smile. "Thanks…Mike." she says, reaching for the flowers. Just as she was about to grab them, a snapping sound is heard and Mike yelps and is swiftly pulled up and off camera. The other campers stop and look back at the pair, confused looks on their faces. "Uhh, wasn't there a bean pole giving you flowers a second ago?" Jo asks, the others looking around in confusion, except for Jasmine. "Found him." she simply says, pointing up the tree.
The group looks up and sees Mike dangling from the tree, a rope tied around his foot, his face flushed. "Hahaa, I guess someone set a trap and caught me." he laughs nervously, swaying as he tries to untangle himself. Something drops from even higher up the tree, zooming past Mike and lands on the ground with a crash. The other campers groan, and the camera pans down to reveal the object to be a wooden cage, with everyone trapped in it.
"Hey wait a second, how did you not get caught?!" Duncan objects to Jasmine, who awkwardly stands several feet away from the trap. "I saw it up there already, and moved before it could trap me. I thought you all saw it." she says in an innocent tone.
"Good morning campers!" a voice shouts from a distance. "Or should I say, trappers?" Chris walks on screen, a beaver placed on his head like a hat. He grabs the beaver and holds it like a football, watching the teens plight with an amused expression. "Ready for your next challenge?" he asks, pulling out a small hunting knife from his pocket. "Good, we can talk about it over chow." he smiles, leaving the scene just as fast as he arrived.
"Uhh, a little help here?" Mike shouts, and the knife Chris had held slices through the rope, embedding itself into the tree. He crashes onto the cage with a thud, opening the door with the force of the fall. "Thank you…" he grumbles.
/
The music picks up in intensity, the camera flying over the main camp, stopping at the main lodge.
/
The camera pans over the teens, all of whom look at their 'breakfast' with concerning eyes. "Is this stuff even edible?" Dave asks, looking at his spoon, now stuck in the white sludge. The camera cuts to Chris, who stands with his hands folded as if to announce something. "Campers, there are only eight of you left on Total Drama Island. With the conclusion of tonight's elimination ceremony, that number will be cut down to seven." he exclaims, smiling at the teens. "We're nearing the end, people. So look alive!" he finishes, pointing his finger in the air for added effect.

"Nice, the final eight! I've really enjoyed putting my skills to good use here." Jasmine smiles at the confessional camera. "Although I'm not too particularly fond of Jo or Heather. Those two fight like rabid kangaroos over some mating territory." she stifles a laugh. "I had to take a step back, otherwise I might not be here right now. And I plan on being the last one standing." she grins, nodding at her own words.

"The universe has guided me this far, and I hope it leads me all the way to the end!" Dawn says, looking up at the ceiling with grateful eyes. "I never would've signed up for such a twisted show if I didn't think I could win, and use that money to help the earth!" The Moonchild sighs, and twirls her hair around her finger. "After all, it's not like I have much to go back to once I'm home."

"Today's challenge requires you to make like our great Provinces rangers and game wardens." Chris begins. "You'll have eight hours to trap and bring back an animal."
"Found one, McLean!" Jo shouts, smirking as she lifts Heather's arm into the air. THe Queen Bee gasps, ripping her arm away and glaring at the jockette. "A wild…animal. " Chris frowns, before regaining his composure. "It must be brought back to the lodge…alive." All eyes turn to Duncan, who snorts at the attention.
"Game wardens and rangers often have to relocate wild animals away from summer camps." Bears are being flown through the skies by helicopters as Chris continues. "This is to ensure the safety of the animals, and the campers." he explains, as a playground with little children is now on screen. A bear suddenly landed on a seesaw, sending one child flying and crushing the other.
"I hope we don't have to resort to eating it." Zoey mulls, looking at the paste in front of her and sighing. "It's funny you say that Zoey." Chris smiles, hands behind his back, and rocking back and forth on his heels. "Because the prize for winning this challenge is… a meal of all of your favorite foods!" he exclaims, hands waving in front of him in excitement.
"Oh I am so winning this challenge." Heather declares, turning and giving Mike a particular look. The lanky teen sighs, eyes downcast.

"I'm honestly impressed at how far I've gotten. I thought with my…condition, I would be booted out immediately." Mike confesses, rubbing his arm around as he continues. "I've managed to keep my other personalities in check for the most part, but I feel like my luck is running out. But, even if I get booted, I want Zoey to know everything." he smiles softly before continuing. "I hope she wins, she deserves it more than anyone." he finishes, looking content with his words.

A loon calls out as the scene shifts to a full view of the island, other birds calling out as the sun blazes overhead.
/
The cast had gathered by the boathouse, Chris standing at the front of the dock. "Everyone, choose an animal assignment!" Chris announced, holding a paper filled hat in front of him. Dave walks up first and grabs a slip. "Chipmunk." He reads.
The rest of the cast reads their animal assignments aloud. "Frog." Zoey reads. "Raccoon." Mike says. "Beaver?" Jo questions. "Ohhh a bear!" Dawn smiles in happiness. "I was hoping you'd get that one Dawn." Chris says as he leans in in amusement. "A deer huh?" Jasmine looks at her card curiously. "Duck." Heather muses. "What the- a Crocodile?! How am I supposed to catch that?!" Duncan fumes at the host. "It was the only one left." Chris tilts the empty hat towards the delinquent. "They all have little baby animals, and I get a crocodile? I'd rather have the bear!"he frowns. "You do get sixty seconds in the boathouse to find whatever tools to help you catch your animal." Chris says in a reassuring tone, trying to soften the blow. "Well unless there's a tuna in there, I'm doomed." he mutters, folding his arms in annoyance.
"Before any of you walk away, let me explain the penalty for losing today's challenge." he shouts, the campers giving the host a daring look. "The person who is last to bring their animal back to the campfire pit…has to clean the communal bathroom." he warns the group, the camera quickly cutting to the aforementioned bath house, the music spiking with horror as the stench can be seen rising up from the building.
The cast gasps, eyes wide with fear. "You have one minute in the boathouse to find and take your critter catching gear! Good luck!" Chris finishes, the cast running into the shack without a second thought.
/
Objects fly out of the boathouse as the teens desperately search for something to use. Inside the shack, the camera pans over every camper inside. Mike and Dave search through some nearby barrels, looking confused as they pull out random objects. Zoey is attempting to open a crate, Heather and Jo fight over a net, and Duncan grabs some bait buckets.
"Let go!" Heather shouts, pulling the net closer to her. "In your dreams prom Queen. I need this net way more than you do." Jo retorts, sneering at the Queen Bee.
"Have you found anything useful?" Dave questions Mike, who pulls out some shark's teeth and tosses them behind in disappointment. "No…all of this stuff is junk!"
"Maybe this'll help you two." Jasmine says, walking towards the two with some items in hand. She hands Dave some seed and a small cage, and turns to Mike and hands him some fruit, a hat, and a pile of rope. "Hey thanks but uh…what are these for?" Dave asks the Australian, who stifles a laugh. "They're for capturing your animals."
"Um, hello? Wanna give the rest of us a hand?"Heather shouts, now on the ground in an attempt to rip the net away from an angry Jo. "Ten seconds everyone!" Chris shouts, and the campers gasp. "Sorry Heather, looks like I don't have time." Jasmine shrugs, the corner of her mouth twisting into a smile.
The other campers scramble for their items. Duncan sighs and grabs several buckets of bait, Zoey manages to crack the crate open, and rushes out with the box in hand. Heather, still struggling with Jo, glances next to a barrel she landed near and spotted some Duck bait. "Perfect." She grins, letting go of the net and reaching for the can.
"You can have the net, groutfit." Heather sniffs, walking past the jockette. "Oh yeah? Well I'm still gonna kick your ass this challenge!" Jo shouts, shaking her fist.

"The final 8! It's getting close to winning time for yours truly!" Jo smirks, folding her arms confidently. "I'm obviously the favorite to win this whole thing. I've got a pawn that I can use to help boot off some of the others, and then all that stands between me and that cash is Heather." Jo smiles widely, looking more and more excited. "This'll be the easiest money I'll ever make."
(static)
"Obviously I'm the favorite to win." Heather says, filing her nails, stopping to look at her handiwork. "I mean, look who's left. A delinquent, an amazonian warrior, the nerd boy, a psychic freak, a psycho toothpick, an innocent crowd pleaser, and Jo." Heather counts, lifting a finger for everyone she names. "I've already got Mike under my finger, I just need to get Jo booted off and they might as well hand me the money."
She narrows her eyes before continuing. "To get her voted off, I need to take away her security blanket…" she snaps her file, before giving the camera one last smile. "And I know just who can help."

Outside the boathouse, Zoey sifts through the crate she had grabbed, tossing objects behind her as she looks for something. "Rusted hook, tweezers, old banana?" A confused Zoey pulls out a brown banana, before sighing and tossing it away as well. "Oh perfect!" She exclaims, holding up a small cup. "This'll be perfect for catching a frog!"
Duncan peeks over the Indie Chicks shoulder and gasps as he notices something. He quickly reaches in the crate and pulls out a small orange gun. "Yeahhahah! A tranquilizer gun!" He proudly proclaims.
"Everyone ready?" Chris asks as he walks up to the group. "Yes!" They all reply in unison. "Uhhh Dawn? You don't have anything." Chris mentions, all eyes turning to the Moonchild. "Yes. I don't need anything to help befriend someone, but you can't make any friends unless you tell them you're wealthy." Dawn replies, garnering a laugh from the campers as Chris fumes. "Go!" He shouts angrily, the cast running past him.
Heather on the other hand, grabs Mike before he can leave the dock, and whispers something into his ear. "You want me to what?" Mike questions, giving Heather a baffled look. "You heard me. Otherwise…Zoey will know about you know what." She grins and the lanky boy sighs. "Fine, just leave Zoey out of this." He pleads. "Of course! I would never do anything to her." she assures.

"Heather has me doing all of her dirty work." Mike sighs, rubbing the back of his neck. "I wanna just get out of this blackmail and tell Zoey, but I'm so nervous she'll leave me once she knows the truth, just like everyone else has." He mutters, head in his hands. "I guess I'll have to roll with it for now." he says, giving the confessional camera a frown.

Pushing through the thick brush, the camera lands on a male mallard duck. Suspenseful music softly fades in as the fowl looks around before digging into a nearby pile of bread crumbs. Panning to a nearby bush, Heather peeks out from behind a bush, a small net in hand. "Okay duck, let's make this nice and easy!" she whispers, pouring some more bread near the bushes.
After a few seconds, the duck notices the other pile, and makes its way over. He stops just before the bushes and starts to eat from the second pile. "Too easy." she grins, stepping towards the animal. But before she could get any closer, the mallard looks up, sticks it's tongue out, and imitates a certain roadrunner before running off at an incredible speed. Heather drops her net in shock, watching the duck run away with wide eyes. "Seriously?! Ughhhhhhhh!" Heather stomps her foot, fuming.
/
The scene shifts to a swampy section of the woods, where Zoey can be seen eyeing a frog. "Perfect! This makes it nice and easy." she smiles, looking at her glass, then at the amphibian.

"I'm so excited to be in the final eight!" she cheers, pumping her fist in excitement. "I've had such a blast so far, and I've met a lot of great people." she sighs, looking away dreamily. "Especially Mike, he's amazing. I just…feel like we've become distant lately. And I think he's hiding something too…" the Indie chick frowns, her hand resting on her chin. She starts to laugh before waving her hand. "Yeah right Zoey, Mike isn't hiding anything."

Zoey takes a couple steps towards the frog, who looks back and takes a jump forward. She continues to move towards the creature, whom hops away as she gets closer. "Oh come on frog, worl with me-AH!" Zoey steps into a puddle, and sinks below the earth. She surfaces, a deep frown on her face. "Very funny mister."
/
Outside of a large stone cave, Dawn slowly approaches the cave, nothing in tow to even defend herself. "Hello, Mr. Bear? Would you be so kind as to come with me for a moment?" she calls out into the cave. A loud roar can be heard in reply, shaking the camera and whipping Dawn's hair back. "I understand you're hungry, but if you come with me, I can get you all the food you want!" she offers, and after a few moments, a serious looking grizzly bear walks out. "Oh thank you so much! Your aura is a beautiful shade of indigo." She sweet talks, the bear blushing and waving his hand in embarrassment.
/
At a large pond in the north end of the island, Duncan approaches a lone gator, the beast not paying much attention to him. He looks at his bucket, and reaches in and tosses a few pieces of bait out towards the gator. "Well, here goes nothing." he sighs, and aims the tranquilizer gun at the animal.
xxx
(static)
"What are my chances of winning? I'd like to say fairly high, but the others are all insane." Duncan says nonchalantly. "But…if I do make it all the way to the finale and still lose…I'll find out whoever didn't vote for me." he sneers, grabbing the camera and pressing his face on the lens. "You hear me losers? I'll find you!" he shouts, eyes wild and crazy.

The crocodile opens its eyes, noticing the bait right in front of its maw. It then looks up and sees Duncan, and its eyes narrow. "Uh oh…" Duncan freezes, and screams as the gator rushes towards the delinquent, its jaws snapping down on the spot he had just occupied. "This isn't good."
/
Mike walks in a clearing, and stumbles upon a raccoon digging up something near a rock. "Hey there buddy, I'm just gonna capture you..okay?" he says, reaching down and offering it some fruit. Just as he was about to reach it, a chittering sound can be heard from all around Mike. Intense music builds as he stops to look around. Several more raccoons surround the pair, all looking a bit angry. "I don't wanna hurt you guys, I just need to take him away for a bit." Mike explains to the nearest raccoon, which snarls at the lanky boy.
Suddenly, the music takes a more sinister turn, as the raccoons start to gather around one another. Robotic whirs and buzzes are heard as they start to stack on top of one another, forming legs, arms, and a body. Mike's eyes grow wide as a shadow looms over him, the camera cutting to reveal the final raccoon getting into place. Two racoons glow red, and the camera zooms out to reveal a robot-like body made of raccoons, which roars at the teen in front of it.
"I think I better call Manitoba on this one.." Mike laughs nervously, taking a deep breath before putting on the hat Jasmine had given him. He gasps, and tilts his hat, smiling confidently as Manitoba now looks up at the creature in front of him. "Well now, what do we have here?" he grins, twirling the rope into a makeshift lasso.
/
The scene shifts to an aerial view of the island, clouds floating by the camera. The scene shifts once more to show Jasmine grabbing a pocket knife from her vest, and cutting down a doe she had trapped in a tree. "Sorry about trapping you like this, I just gotta win that chow." she says, throwing the deer over her shoulder and walking back towards camp.
/
A chipmunk sits on a long pine branch, shaking as something approaches it. The camera zooms out to reveal Dave shuffling his way forward, legs and arms wrapped around the branch. "I uh, have some seed for you!" he calls out to the small animal, who blinks as it eyes him with curiosity. "See?" he says. Taking a hand and reaching into his back pocket. He pulls out the seed, but as he got closer, a loud SNAP can be heard. The branch falls from under the boy, and Dave screamed as he plummeted to the ground. The chipmunk watched the boy hit the ground with a pained groan, a mini parachute deploying for the animal.
/
"Chris, I brought my animal back!" someone shouts to the host, who looks up from his paper he was reading. His eyes grow wide as he sees who is approaching. Dawn reaches the camp fire pit with a now smiling grizzly bear in tow, and she pats it on the head as it steps into the cage Chris has shakily opened. "W-wow I can't believe you caught one! Dawn…you are todays winner!" he proclaims, the Moonchild giving him a soft smile in return. "Hey, open the cage!" another voice calls out. Jasmine rushes towards the group, her deer still resting on her shoulders.
Chris smiles as he opens the cage once more, and Jasmine carefully sets the deer down, unties the animal, and nudges it inside the cage. The deer looks nervously over at the bear, and back at Jasmine. "Don't worry about him. He isn't mean or nasty." Dawn reassures the deer, who sighs in relief. "Oh, looks like another camper is about to complete the challenge!" Chris grins, as the camera pans over to show Manitoba making his way over to the camp fire pit, the large raccoon monster still chasing him. "Sheila, open that cage for me now!" he shouts, and Jasmine quickly opens the door for the explorer. He turns, and tosses his lasso into the middle of the monster, pulling out one of the critters.
The whole monster falls apart as if it were a jenga tower, the pile of raccoons looking around in confusion as to what had happened. "Whew, that was a close one." Manitoba breathes a sigh of relief. "Good thing I handled that situation as only a manly explorer like me could." he brags, Jasmine sneaking up behind the boy. "Yeah, you did a great job." she rolls her eyes, snagging the hat off of Mike's head. He gasps, and looks around in confusion. "Did I win?" he asks the others, and Chris shakes his head. "Unfortunately for both of you, Dawn has already won the feast, but you are safe from bath house duty!" he explains, and Mike nods, still not really sure how he ended up back at the campfire pit.
"Oh! Hey uhhh Dawn, can I ask you to help me out with something?" Mike asks the mystic, who eyes him before turning towards him. "What am I helping out with Mike?" she questions. "I'll explain on the way, but we have to go!" he says quickly, grabbing her arms and dragging her behind him. "Hey, w-wait a sec!" she shouts to no avail.
/
A beaver dam lies peacefully in a small river, Duncan and the crocodile having a stand off in the background. Jo approaches the hut with a cocky smirk, and dives underwater. She reappears inside the beavers hut, where three beavers watch the jockette with confusion, sitting around a table as if to eat a meal. "Alright you 'dam' builders, time for you to meet your maker." she grins, but is promptly slapped by a tail. "Hey, watch it, tubby!" she warns, but the beavers all line up, and the camera cuts to outside the hut, smacking sounds can be heard coming from inside. "Ow-hey! Get back here and face me!" Jo can be heard shouting.
/
Heather continues to chase her duck ,the waterfowl taunting her by stopping in front of her, sticking its tongue out and quacking, then rushing off again. "Rrrrrrr I HATE this duck!" She screams, chasing down the animal as it continues to rush further and further away.
As she chases her prey, she notices something out of the corner of her eye. She skids to a halt, and moves behind a tree trunk. Peeking out from behind her hiding spot, she sees Duncan struggling to get the crocodile to come out of the water in order for him to get a good shot with his tranquilizer gun. "Perfect, now all I need is Mike to finish the job." Heather grins.

"There was a reason Duncan ended up with the crocodile and not me. I saw the card that had the crazy reptile on it, and chose the only other option in the hat." she smiled innocently. "As long as Duncan ended up with either the bear, deer, or crocodile, I was fine with whatever I got." She flips her hair back and continues. "It was pretty lucky that he ended up with probably the worst option, but that's how these shows go. Luck can be on your side, and it has been today."

Mike and Dawn make their way to the north end of the island, Mike looking more and more nervous the closer they get towards their destination. "So what did you need help with Mike?" Dawn peers up at Mike with curiosity. "Oh uh well…Duncan is wrangling a huge crocodile right now, and. I figured since I'm done and you're able to read auras and stuff, I thought we could help him out!"
Dawn eyes him with suspicion, but doesn't reply immediately. "Is that what this is really about? Not that I don't believe you wanna help, your aura says you're a kind person. But I have a very strong feeling this isn't your doing." she promptly tells the lanky boy, who stiffens at her words. "I-uhhh-I…" suddenly he points towards a clearing in the brush. "Look, Duncan is just up there, and he needs our help!"
/
Back at the cage, Jasmine and Chris lounge about, while the bear Dawn had captured sat at a large picnic table, trying a bib around its neck. "Okayy, I know Dawn promised the bear steaks and fish, but this is stilll a bit weird to look at." Chris comments, the bear giving him a frown before turning back to the food in front of him. "Hey, open the cage McLean!" Jo shouts, holding three beavers by the tail, the animals trying to break free. The host runs over to the door, and opens for Jo to set the beavers in.
"Nice job Jo, you're looking kinda rough. No rabies I presume?" he asks, the jockette covered in scratch marks, her clothes tattered, and her cheeks glowing red. "I'll get over it. I'm a winner!" She shouts, then notices the bear watching her with interest. "Hey what the-how is a bear getting the reward?" She points accusingly, Chris laughing at her reaction.
"Dawn struck a deal with the bear, and since she was the first to arrive, she gave her meal to it!" He laughs, the bear also smiling at the jockettes furious expression.
"Wait, open up the cage again!" a group of voices shouts. The group turns to see Heather and mud soaked Zoey rushing towards the cage, Zoey holding her frog in the glass. Heather follows not too far behind, tossing out breadcrumbs to make sure the duck followed her. "That's right ducky, get in the cage!" she shouts with some anger, slamming the gate as soon as both animals. "Yes! No bathroom cleaning for me!" she sighs in relief. "Good job you two, did you have any fun?" Chris asks expectantly, both girls giving him blank stares. "Alright, sheesh." he mutters. "Take a shower Zoey…you stink!" he shouts after the redhead, who had walked away presumably towards the showers.
/
Back at the pond, Duncan angrily attempts to get the reptile out of the water with more bait on a hook. "Come on, stupid animal, work with me here!" he grunts, inching closer to the water. It moves closer to the shoreline, and Duncan doesn't waste a second. As soon as it takes a step onto land, he pulls out his gun and shoots. The dart embedded itself into the reptile's leg, and its eyes grew drowsy. It fell asleep and hit the ground with a thud, Duncan grinning widely at his success. "Yes! I just snagged a croc! Take that you stupid piece of leather!" he taunts flicking it on the head in a taunting manner. He hears a gasp, and points his gun at the source of the sound.
The camera quickly pans over to show Dawn and Mike now standing on the shore, a look of horror on the mystics face. "You-you-you just hurt an animal on purpose! How could you?!" she berates the delinquent, who just looks at her confused. "What? I have to bring this thing back alive, and if I wanna stay alive this is what had to be done." he flatly replies. "Urrrrghhh, that still doesn't mean you hit it after it's been knocked out!" she replies, surprising Duncan as she got into his face, an accusing finger pointed at him. "Pftt. Whatever, I'm not gonna take this from some mental nature girl." Dawn gasps again at his words, the mystics eyes now wide with sadness. "Ugh, and to think your aura shows that you're nice!" she shouts, before running away into the woods. "Dawn, wait up!" Mike calls after the girl before turning to Duncan.
"Was that really necessary dude?" he asks, watching Duncan nervously move towards him. "Did you hear what she said? At the end before she ran off?" he asks, beads of sweat on his face. "Uh..no?" the lanky boy replies, not really sure what to say. Duncan wipes the sweat from his brow and sighs in relief. "Good. now beat it before I stick you with one of these darts." he threatens, pulling the dart gun from his pocket and aiming at Mike. "Okay later!" he quickly shouts, walking away without looking back.

"I'm not nice, okay? I don't know how many times I have to say it. That creepy girl can read my aura or whatever, but ain't no way there's any nice in me." he warns, pointing his pocket knife at the camera, his eyes full of anger.
(static)
"Well, Heather's plan somehow worked, even if it was somewhat lucky." mike said, slumping in the confessional. "I guess I'm glad she's not going for Zoey, but what happens then? Do I have to tell her my secret when she's mad at me?" he asks, hands on his head in a panic. "Oh boy, what do I do?"
(static)
"My plan was simple. Have Mike finish early, and bring Dawn to 'help' Duncan with his challenge, and have him blow a fuse and get Dawn to vote against him!" She smiles evilly, almost sighing in relief afterwards. "I was really lucky Dawn finished first, otherwise this plan wouldn't have worked. I have to get one more person against me booted off, and then I won;t have to take these kinds of risks again." she huffs, clearly annoyed with how much work she is having to do.

The scene changes to show the full glory of Wawanakwa at night, the fire easily spotted in the dark cloak of night. Suspenseful music plays as the camera quickly shifts into a closer view of the fire pit, the eight remaining campers all sit on the stumps with different emotions plastered on their faces. A now clean Zoey consoles a sad looking Dawn by rubbing her back, a still beat up Jo snickers at Daves wrapped head, and other four sit amongst the others, patiently awaiting the hosts' judgment.
"Yes, congrats to all of you, except Dave," he looks over at a still concussed Dave, "for managing to capture your critters and bringing them back here!" Chris congratulates, the campers heads swiveling to his voice as he takes his place behind the podium. "You've all cast your votes and made your decisions. When I call out your name, come and grab a marshmallow." he begins in his usual speech. The camera slowly zooms in on the plate of marshmallows as he continues. "If I do not call your name, you must immediately walk the dock of shame," the scene changes to one of the dreaded dock of shame, tiki torches lit as the boat of losers awaits its next victim, "board the boat of losers, and you'll be out of the contest. Forever." he says, the camera zooming in on the host's face.
"The first marshmallow goes to…Dawn!" he smiles, the mystic slowly walking up and taking her prize. "Mike, and Jasmine." Both teens smile and grab their marshmallows as well. "Jo, Zoey, and surprisingly enough…Heather." he announces, the Queen Bee glaring at him, while Jo sneers at her rival. "I only have one marshmallow left here." Chris holds up the plate, the lone dessert still present. "Duncan, Dave, one of you two has spent your final night on Total Drama Island tonight." he says, the music picking up in intensity. Both boys' eyes widen in fear, Heather rolling her eyes. "Just give it to Dave already!" she shouts. "Eh, what the heck. Dave." he says, the music capping as he tosses the final marshmallow to the Normal Boy, who breathes a sigh of relief.
"Whatever man, I didn't even wanna be on this stupid show anyway. At least in Juvie i got treated with some respect." he spat, spitting on the ground. "How did Dud-can get voted off before Heather?" Jo asks aloud, eyes narrowing in confusion and suspicion. "He made Dawn cry, so he got my vote." Zoey said, Mike and Heather nodding along with her words.
"Big deal, this show was not worth one hundred thousand dollars." Duncan mutters, walking away to grab his things. "See you never McClean!" he shouts, throwing his pocket knife at a nearby tree, embedding itself deep into the wood. Chris shrugs, and turns to Dave. "You realize as the loser, you have some unfinished business." he whispers, handing the boy a mop bucket and mop. Dave groans as he remembers the penalty for losing, burying his head in his hands.

At the outhouse, gagging sounds can be heard coming from within. The door slams open, Dave gasping for air. "What is that horrible smell? Have these bathrooms been cleaned at all?" he shouts, covering his nose with his arm. "This is so disgusting, and I've already gone through all my disinfectant spray…" he mutters. He sighs, walks back inside, and closes the door behind him. A flush can be heard, and suddenly Dave screams. "OH MY GOD THE SEWER WATER IS ALL OVER MEHEEEEEEE!" he cries out, the camera zooming out to show the island once more in its full glory, Dave's cries of anguish heard throughout the island.

Yeah…not my best work honestly. Duncans elimination felt weak to me, but I also didn't feel like there was much else I could do in terms of eliminations/faults. I had planned on booting him from the start of this chapter, so my options were limited. Okay, short rant over. Duncan is gone! That means Jo is ripe for the picking, and Heather still has Mike wrapped around her finger. The rest of the group is kinda doing their own thing, but Jasmine, Dawn, and Zoey are all on friendly terms, so they are a sort of alliance. Next episode will be interesting, considering its the tri armed triathlon, and there's seven campers instead of six like in canon. I have two ideas for how to fix it, so stay tuned to see what goes down! As always, leave reviews! I love hearing from you all, and I really do appreciate your feedback and comments! See you all soon,
-Bodvar
