Chapter 21

Authors Notes

Hello everyone! Another chapter of Total Mix-Up Island is here! I'm excited for the finishing chapters of this season, and I hope you all like how things turn out. With regards to the reviewers,

Gucci Mane Laflare: it'll definitely be an interesting write that's for sure! I had a lot of ideas juggling around and had some suggestions from y'all as well. You'll have to wait and see who makes it in the final two! I think you'll like the final choices. Duncan is a powerhouse character, so he'll be a threat just like he always seems to be. Glad you liked his arc this season though. Scott didn't really even use Mike's personalities against him, as he booted him off after the same episode he started using him. I wanted Heather to handle Mike's blackmail a lot better.

Zeke the Prophet: Yes Duncan isn't getting in the top five like he seems to do every season. Unfortunately I didn't want him to go as far as he did in canon at least this season…You are right he doesn't wanna accept the nice part of himself. I will definitely give him a better ending than *shudders* all-stars gave him. As for Dawn winning, I know I could've easily had Jasmine win, and even had Dawn lose because she hates animal cruelty of any kind, but I thought having her befriend a bear and then see Duncan's treatment was a good little plot for her growth. I was also feeling like having a more funny ending than the obvious person winning. I think you'll like what I have in store for this episode!

Shuffollower: ahhh sorry! I had this elimination planned like an episode in advance, so I'm sorry to disappoint lol. Jo is now vulnerable like you said, so you'll get to see how that plays out, and I think you'll like who ends up in the final 3/finale.

: get out of my head! Haha you're really close with how I want things to go this chapter, so props to you! Also happy you liked the last chapter!

millikan: yes Heather got extremely lucky this whole season, and rewatching this season really showed me that she honestly shouldn't have gotten past like 11th without luck. So I wanted to have Heather herself address her absurd luck at least once so even she seems baffled a bit.

Okay! Now with the reviews all finished, onto Chapter 21 of Total Mix-Up Island!

Campers

Boys: Mike, Dave

Girls: Zoey, Jo, Heather, Jasmine, Dawn

XXXX

"Last time, on Total Drama Island." Chris begins, the camera fading into its usual shot of the full island, capstone theme accompanying the shot. "Our eight remaining campers were tasked with trapping and relocating different wild animals across the island." Scenes of the campers drawing animals and finding items in the boathouse play as the host continues. "While some made easy work of their assignments," Dawn, Jasmine, and Manitoba are shown bringing back their creatures to the awaiting cage, "others had a little bit more trouble." he chuckles, Zoey and Duncan in particular shown to have had much difficulty catching or even getting near their targets.

"In a lucky twist of fate, Heather indirectly manipulated Dawn into voting off Duncan again after seeing his less than stellar treatment of the wildlife." Dawn is seen yelling at the delinquent after he shot a crocodile and flicked it in the head while it was down. "Wow, two times in one season must be rough." Chris voices over as Duncan is seen stabbing his pocket knife in a nearby tree as he exits the island for the second. The scene shifts to the campfire pit in the daytime, Chris standing near the fire with a poker stick. "With seven campers left, it's anyone's game." He taps the fire and tosses the stick away, turning towards the camera. "See who gets booted off in our most dramatic elimination ceremony yet, on Total..Drama..Island!" he exclaims, raising his arms as the theme peaks and the camera fades to black.

(Fade to Intro)

Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine

You guys are on my mind

You asked me what I wanted to be

And now I think the answer is plain to see

I wanna be famous

I wanna live close to the sun

Well pack your bags cause I've already won

Everything to prove nothing in my way

I'll get there one day

Cause I wanna be famous

(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

(Nananananana nanananana nanananana)

(End Intro)

The scene opens up to a shot of both cabins, the sun rising up over the pines in the background. Cutting inside the boys cabin, Mike is seen sleeping restlessly, turning back and forth, the only other boy left watching him with a quizzical look.

"Ever since Duncan left and it's just been Mike and I," Dave begins, adjusting part of the bandaging around his head, "I've noticed he talks in his sleep. Like a lot." he states, sighing as he rests his chin on his hand. "He's definitely hiding some sort of mental problem and covering it up as 'characters'. I mean, no one is that weird normally…right?" he asks, looking hopefully at the camera.

"Svetlana wants to be free!" he shouts, lips glossy and eyelashes long. "Hey, toots, let Vito get some rest eh?" Vito now says, his hair slicking back. "Dag nab it you two, can't an old man get any peace and quiet?" Chester shouts, mouth curling inward. "Knock it off you guys, we can't let Zoey know just yet…" Mike says in his voice, returning to normal.

"Yeahh…I'm definitely not supposed to be hearing any of this…" Dave groans, facepalming in the confessional.

Dave continues to watch Mike, until a faint whirring can be heard. He stops staring at the lanky boy as the sound grows louder and louder by the second. Eventually, Dave has to cover his ears because of how loud the whirring is. "Wha-I'm up!" Mike shouts, groggily rising from bed.

/

Outside the cabins, the girls watch something in the sky descend, pajamas still on all of them. "What the hell is going on out here?" Jo shouts, rubbing her eyes as she walks out of her cabin. "Is that a helicopter?" Mike asks, peeking his head out of the window. Cutting up to the source of the noise, Chris is seen overhead, flying in his minicopter. The host smiles as he passes overhead, flinging up dust and leaves as he flies.

"Welcome back to Total Drama Island!" Chris shouts over the sound of the propellers. "Over the past six weeks we've watched fifteen campers push themselves to the limit!" He smiles even wider, closing his eyes as he continues. "And then get their butts kicked off the island by their fellow campers! Sucks to be you!" the host grins slyly. "Sadie, Eva, Justin, Sugar, Lindsay, B, DJ, Ezekiel, Amy, Duncan, Courtney, Geoff, Ella, Tyler, Lindsay…again, Brick, and Duncan! Again!" Chris lists off as the montage of campers finishes.

/

The camera keeps a wide shot as Chris exits the now grounded helicopter, walking towards the center of the camp. "Only seven campers remain. And after seven weeks of bugs, crummy camp food, and even grosser bathrooms," he starts, stopping as he arrives at the seven tired and angry looking teens, "our seven finalists are about this close to losing it." Chris grins darkly, his finger and thumb nearly pinching together to represent their sanity.

"We thought of a really good way to help them destress," he continues suddenly pulling out a pair of handcuffs from behind his back, "but thought handcuffing you guys together was a better idea." He gives them a wily grin "To see if this'll really push 'em over the edge."

"Are those for your personal use McClean?" Jo asks, the others snickering at her comment. "Nope! They're all in the name of today's challenge!" he smiles, throwing both hands in the air. "The tri armed triathlon!" he announces, the camera panning back to the campers. "Tri armed? You mean like three arms?" Zoey asks the host, whose eyes light up at her words. "Yes! Three challenges, three two person teams, three arms per team!" he grins.

"Uhh, hello? We have seven people? How does that work?" Heather folds her arms and glares at the host, who smiles and puts a finger up. "Don't worry, we have a plan to make it work." Chris says, Chef walking over to Dave and grabbing him. "Since Dave is concussed from the last challenge, he gets a free pass into next week." he smiles, the cast gasping at his statement. "WHAT?! How is that fair?!" Jo roars. "Well, Dave's mom happens to be the best lawyer in the province, and we do NOT need to get sued right now!" he chuckles. Dave sighs at Chris' reasoning, the hulking man carrying him off camera.

"Six weeks of this crappy camp, and I'm so close to snagging that cash!" Jo shouts, grinning and pumping her fists. "It's not surprising I got this far, what is surprising is how little I've had to do since the merge!" a confident smile on her face as she continues. "I figured since everyone's got their eyes on Heather, I'll let them beat each other up before making a full sprint for the finale, just like I did in my last marathon!" She laughs heartily. "That poor guy led the whole race, then lost just before he crossed the line. Sucker!"

(static)

"Wow, I'm in the final seven!" Zoey exclaims, her hands clasped together in nervous excitement. "I never thought I'd get this far, but with Mike and Dawn here, I feel pretty confident, even if I get sent home." she sighs, a content look on her face. "I hope me and Mike can go on a date after the show's over. I'd really like to know if he's hiding something from me, since we're on a TV show and all." Zoey giggles.

(static)
"Okay, I did not think I would last this long, especially since all of my muscles are like noodles." Dave says, flexing his arm and sighing when he looks over at his appendage. "I'd really like to think the others are gonna fight each other and leave me alone, but I doubt it." He leans against the stall, wincing in pain as his head hits the wall. "Ow! Anyway, I'm just amazed I haven't freaked out about germs in a while. I seriously think whatever Chef is feeding us is messing with my DNA." he says, nervously looking down at his stomach, which growls as if on cue. "Am I…mutating!?"

(static)

"Final seven! Mom and Pop would be so proud!" Jasmine starts, looking more confident than ever. "I've really enjoyed putting my skills to the test, and I've met some cool people like Dave and DJ. And honestly…the only thing that's been awful besides the food has been the drama." she frowns, folding one leg over the other. "Heather and Jo crease me like no tomorrow, so I gave up on arguing with them every turn. I just hope they get kicked off and I can really play hard against people I like." the Australian mutters, folding her arms.

(static)

"I'm so very thrilled to be among the finalists! I have met some very unique people during my journey here." Dawn states, folding her hands together. "I've also met Chris, Heather and Jo, and those three have such horrid auras. Only one of them will come out of this long ordeal different. I feel horrible for saying such things, but it's true." She cryptically tells the camera. "Ohh, I hope we don't have any more challenges that violate Mother Earth. It's really been interfering with my connection to her."

Inside the main lodge the camera panning left to show the pairs already handcuffed together. Mike and Zoey give each other a smile, Heather glares at her handcuffs, pulling on them and bringing Dawn closer by accident. The Moonchild gives her a look but says nothing. The camera stops on Jasmine and Jo, who give each other skeptical looks.

"The first of our three challenges? Competitive chow down!" Chris begins, beckoning to the nearby table. "One of you will be a feeder, the other will be the eater." he explains, the three teams looking nervously at one another. "The eater will put both of their arms behind them to make things harder for the feeder." He then holds up a small key with a skull on the end. "One last thing. This…is the wimp key! A skeleton key that can open any pair of handcuffs." A yellow background appears, and the key appears above a pair of handcuffs. The key taps the cuffs, opening the pair with a tinkle before cutting back to Chris.

"You will be offered the wimp key after every challenge to unshackle yourself from your teammate." he begins, Heather gasping in happiness as she looks down at her cuffed hand. "Buuut, if you do choose to accept it, you'll both be eliminated." he laughs, Heather now frowning and putting her hands on her hips. "Uhh hey, McClean? How do we win?" Jo shouts, tapping her foot impatiently. "Chef's grabbing each team a platter. Whoever finishes their plate of 'delicacies' first, wins the challenge." Chris tells the group, smiling as they all turn to their partner.

"I can eat if you want Zoey." Mike tells the redhead. "Are you sure? It's not gonna be good food…" Zoey says, concern in her eyes. "Don't worry, I can totally handle it!" he proclaims. The camera cuts to Heather and Dawn. "I'll be eating, I doubt there's anything on the plate you'd even eat plant girl." Heather huffs, already looking annoyed with her partner. "Of course, seeing as how you binge eat when you're stressed…I shall help feed you." Dawn replies, the Queen Bee gasping at her words. "J-just shut up and get ready to feed me." she snaps. The shot settles on Jo and Jasmine, who are giving each other defiant looks. "Listen up giantess, I'm gonna be the feeder, so you better keep up with me." Jo points a thumbs back at herself. Jasmine brow furrows at her words. "And why should you be feeding me? I think you would be way better at eating the food than I would." she retorts, Jo not backing down from. "Fine, let's arm wrestle for it."

/

The camera pans across the table, Jo and Jasmine struggling to gain ground in their match, Dawn and Heather watching with confused expressions, and Mike and Zoey nervously awaiting the cooks return. Grunting with effort, Jasmine starts to push Jo's arm towards the table. The jockette gasps before kicking the large girl in the shin. Jasmine grunts in pain, giving Jo enough time to slam her hand into the table.

Jasmine sighs as Chef walks out of the kitchen, holding three metal trays of moldy, rotten, and fuzzy food. The cook slides one tray to each team, eyes the food they're about to eat warily.

He shakes his head, walks away, and Chris puts his hand in the air. The feeders put their arms behind their backs, and Chris throws his arm down. "Go!" Zoey, Dawn, and Jo all start shoveling the disgusting looking food into their partners mouth. "This should be you right now…" Jasmine grumbles between bites, Jo laughs and continues her rapid pace.

Dawn puts the food in Heather's mouth slowly, the girl gagging with every bite. "Are you trying to make me puke?" She snaps at Dawn, who shakes her head in response. "Then go faster!" she shouts. "Very well." Dawn obliges, picking up her pace.

Zoey stuffs Mike's face with food, the boy's cheeks bulging from not getting enough time to chew. "Uhh, Zoey, are you sure there isn't a better way to do this?" he muffles through a mouthful of food. "Not that I can think of. If it falls off the tray, I don't think it counts." Suddenly her eyes light up and she sets down the spoon. "I'm gonna set the tray by your mouth, and you can just eat larger chunks!" She exclaims, grabbing the tray and setting it right in front of the lanky boy's face.

(Fade to Commercial)

Competitive and suspense music plays, as the three teams rapidly attack the food set before them. Jo and Jasmine are now covered in stains, as Jasmine was having a hard time with Jo's extra fast pace. Heather was able to eat surprisingly fast, Dawn not waiting long between bites before feeding her more. Mike and Zoey use their new strategy to their advantage, the lanky boy able to eat much larger portions at a faster rate. "Change of plans!" Jo grunts. Before Jasmine can say anything, the Austrlians face is slammed by the tray. "Come on…eat it!" the jockette shouts, but looks over in shock when she hears a tray clang to the ground.

"Done!" Mike shouts groggily, Zoey holding him up as he sways back and forth. "The winners of the first challenge…are Mike and Zoey!" Chris announces, Zoey cheering in excitement. "Yes! We did it Mike! Way to go!" she gives him a hug, to which he blushes profusely. "Ahahaaa, oh it was nothing-" his reply comes short as his stomach rumbles violently. "I think I spoke too soon." he moans, leaning over the table and puking all over the lodge's floor. The others watched in disgust, and Zoey moved her one free hand in front of her face as she was pulled with the teen. "Ewwww…" she moans as she is more or less forced to watch Mike upchuck his stomach's contents.

"I've really fallen for Mike. He's so calm and confident, but he's also hilarious! He always knows how to get me to laugh when I'm down." Zoey sighs dreamily. "Him throwing up though…that was definitely not one of his best moments."

(static)

"That was the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me!" Mike groans, running his face down his head in embarrassment. "It just had to be Zoey that I was chained to when that happened." he groans in agony. "I don't know if anything more embarrassing than that can happen."

The teams now stand near the front of the beach dock, the camera zooming in on the host. He dangles the wimp key in front of all of the teens. "Last chance to wimp ooouuttt…" Chris calls out temptingly. Jo and Jasmine look at each other. "Don't even think about it, safari guide!" the jockette growls.

"Don't wimp out on me Dawn just because you don't like me." Heather looks down at the moonchild.

"Oh no, I wouldn't do that. I'd like to stay longer than you, plus I can see you don't really want to go home. You know, with your parents not wanting you home right now and all." Dawn replies, the girl blankly looking back at Heather.

"WHAT!? How do you-… You take that back right now!" she roars, glaring daggers at the mystic.

"Can we start the challenge? I think I'm still weak from throwing up all that old food.." Mike pleads, Chris watching the scene with amusement.

"Alright, at the end of the beach you'll find three canoes," the camera quickly pans to the beach, where three canoes await, "one for each team. Your next challenge is to row your canoes…handcuffed…all the way to Boney Island!" he laughs, still dangling the wimp key in front of him. The camera cuts to a shot of the island in question, lighting flashing around the foggy island.

Cutting back to Chris, he puts the key away as he wraps up his explanation. "Once there, you'll open a package that's waiting for you. GO!" he shouts enthusiastically. The campers rush past the host, running him over as they rush for their spot in a canoe.

/

Jo and Jasmine reach their canoe first, Jasmine stopping and yanking on the handcuffs. "Jo, let me sit in the back. I've got a ton of experience riding white water rapids in Australia." Jasmine grabs the paddle, but Jo swiftly takes a hold as well

"And I'm a decorated rower on the national level! I'm sitting in the back!" she shouts, pulling on the oar. Both girls grunt as they pull on the paddle, before Jasmine lifts the paddle high into the air, the jockettes feet leaving the ground. "Jo. We need to stop fighting, the other teams are already in the water!" Nodding her head towards the lake, Jo turns only to see the other campers watching them with quizzical looks and already a good distance from shore.

"Fine, whatever. Go ahead and row already." The pair jumps into the canoe and starts paddling, rapidly trying to catch up to the others.

/

Cruising forward in their canoe, Mike and Zoey smile at one another as they make conversation. "You were on the high school archery team? While you were in middle school?!" Mike asks, visibly impressed.

"Oh, well it's nothing compared to you winning a national championship. I guess Svetlana is more than just a character then!" Mike freezes at her words before turning forward. "Yeah…I guess you could say she's a part of me.." sweating nervously, the lanky boy trails off into silence. "Mike? Are you okay? Did I say something wrong?" the Indie Chick reaches out towards him, but he turns around and gives her a shaky laugh. "No,no. You didn't say anything wrong. Let's just get to Boney Island, yeah?" softly speaking to her, he grabs her hand and squeezes it before turning around once again.

xxx

(static)

"Ever since the hide and seek challenge, Mike's been even more odd and secretive than before." Zoey mulls over her words, deep in thought. "I mean, I never expected to know everything about him right away, but I definitely know he's purposefully trying to hide something from me! But..what secret is big enough to make him that nervous?" she questions, looking at the confessional camera concerned.

(static)

Farther behind the pair, Dawn and Heather paddle in silence, the Queen Bee watching the petite blonde with narrowed eyes. "Anything else you'd like to say now that we're alone?" she asks. The camera cuts to Dawn, who continues to stare off into the distance. watching the clouds float by, she runs her fingers into the flowing water "Hello? Are you even paying attention?"

Pulling her hand back towards her lap, Dawn turns around. The camera cuts to show both of them looking at one another. "You mean like how you're insecure about where you stand with your parents, and feel like you have to win this competition to gain their favor?" Dawn watches Heather's reaction carefully, and doesn't seem surprised when her face glows red with embarrassment and anger. "You. You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?!" she yells, taking the paddle out of the water and swinging her way.

The Moonchild ducks, hair blowing from how close the paddle was. "I will only stop when you cease your cheating ways!" she firmly tells the still swinging Heather, who pauses at her words. "And what exactly does that mean? You think I'm manipulating Zoey? No way, she's already too close to Mike." she huffs, crossing her arms as the canoe comes to a stop.

"I'm not referring to Zoey. I am talking about you using Mike." Dawn narrows her eyes as she speaks to Heather. "It's all in your aura. Deception and blackmail are very noticeable in one's already disfigured aura."

"Fine. How about this? I'll stop messing with Mike and the others until I'm kicked off, if you keep this little talk we had between the two of us until you leave." Heather offers, extending a hand. The moonchild hesitated, giving her one last look before clasping her hand in the Queen Bees. "I see no lie in your aura. So I will agree to those terms."

xxx

(static)

"I promised Dawn I would leave Mike alone until she or I are booted off. But I never said I couldn't get Jo to do it for me." She grins darkly, folding her leg over the other and chuckling. "It's too easy sometimes."

(static)

xxx

Amidst the fog, Jasmine and Jo paddle aggressively towards shore. "Never thought we'd be coming back here anytime soon, seeing as how I got cursed and all." Jo comments as she paddles toward shore, Jasmine holding back laughter. "I doubt you'll have such bad luck, even if you deserved it." Jasmine pokes, Jo looking back at her with disdain. "Oh can it, giantess." turning back around, her eyes widen. "Quick! I see the others! We caught up after all!"

/

On the shore, Jo and Jasmine rummage through a green pack, Jasmine smiling as she retracts her hand, both girls gasping at what was in the Australians hand. Sinister maraca music plays as the camera cuts to a piece of the now faded tiki doll, cut cleanly into thirds.

Sand blasts around them as a helicopter can be heard descending, the shot cutting up to the sky. Chris leans out of the chopper, megaphone in hand as he watches the cast with a smile. "Welcome to the second part of the second challenge!"

"I thought Lame-y got rid of this thing! And that Dawn got rid of the lingering curse or whatever!" Jo shouts up at the host.

"She lied. She broke it up and flushed it down the septic tank to mess with you." he grins.

"Ewwwww!" The seven campers groaned, the other two groups who had arrived dropped their packs in disgust.

"I know!" He shouts before continuing. "Your next task is to throw the pieces of the tiki doll back into the cave," the camera cuts to an ominous looking cave entrance, "of Treacherous Terror!" Lightning flashes and the camera cuts back to the campers on the beach.

"We've provided maps of Boney island in your packs, but one of you is gonna have to carry the other piggyback style!" Chris calls down to the group.

"I guess I can carry you Zoey." Mike looks back at the redhead, who blushes and nods. "Sure!" she hops onto the lanky boys back and they set off.

"I don't suppose you'd mind carrying me? I'm very light." Dawn blankly tells Heather, who rolls her eyes and points behind her back. "Just don't get us lost you weirdo." she grunts, the moonchild hopping onto her back and pulling out the map.

"If I climb onto your back, I'd definitely have a better view, seeing as your taller than Mt. Kilimanjaro!" Jo nonchalantly says, Jasmine narrowing her eyes. "Is that because you're too weak to carry me?" She jabs back, the jockettes eyes going wide before whipping around. "As if! I could carry you there hopping on one leg!" She points to her chest, pulling the girl closer. "And don't call me weak ever again. Got it?!" she sneers, Jasmine shrugging as she gets onto the girls back.

/

Somewhere in the middle of the woods, Mike trudges ahead with Zoey, the Indie Chick pointing out directions as the camera zooms in. "I think if that landmark is here on the map… then if we turn left at the shore we should be right on track!" She smiles, the lanky boy stopping as they near the aforementioned shoreline. "Being back here sure brings up a lot of memories." Mike reminisces, putting his hands on his hips. Zoey hops down and loops her arms through his, leaning against him as they look around at the beach.

"Yeah. Last time we were out here was when we had to canoe all the way here and back from camp." she points to a large dip in the sand. "Remember when Ezekiel made that sap bomb?"

A black and white clip plays, showing the farm boy dropping his creation into their team's fire, and the ensuing explosion afterwards. It cuts back to the pair, who smile in reminiscence.

"I can't believe the crater is still there! So cool!" Mike wonders excitedly, the pair walking towards the edge. "I miss the guy. I guess I miss a lot of people." he continues, sounding sad. "Yeah, we've met a lot of good people here haven't we?" Zoey agrees, still leaning against the boy. "That's why we have to win. We can't have Heather or Jo get the money, they've been so mean to everyone."

He nods, and looks up when he hears approaching footsteps. "I can't believe you got us lost! Aren't you supposed to be some kind of wilderness expert?!" An angry voice grumbles, Jo and Jasmine coming into view. "How is it my fault when you wouldn't go the way I told you because 'you thought it was a trap'!" Jasmine angrily shouts back, pausing when she sees Mike and Zoey.

"Hey guys! Did you get turned around too?" the Australian calls out dismounting from the jockettes shoulders. Jo rolls her eyes at the question and reluctantly follows her partner.

"Yeah we got a little sidetracked and ended up here on the beach! We found the way to the cave from here, so we were just reminiscing about old friends and challenges.

"Seriously? That's lame. You gotta keep your head in the game if you wanna win, not think about those losers that got kicked off already." Jo snips, Mike and Zoey frowning at her comment. "What's your problem Jo? Is it wrong for us to have friends?" Zoey berates, an angry look on her face. Jo yawns, squatting down and grabbing a stick. "No, but it makes you look weak." She snaps the stick in half and puts one half in the side pocket of the pack Jasmine had handed her.

"We're here to win a hundred grand. I'm not gonna let personal attachments slow me down, that includes 'friends' and allies." She air quotes, all three teens now glaring at the jockette.

"Do you really not like anyone here?" Jasmine asks, bewildered at her comments. "I tolerated Duncan, and Svetlana was a useful tool. But other than that…I could care less about what happens to you after this contest." She comments nonchalantly.

"I guess we know who to vote off tonight…" Mike mutters angrily. Zoey nods in agreement, and Jasmine shoots the pair a knowing look, before hopping back on Jo's shoulder. They take off in the direction Zoey pointed out earlier, passing by the pair as they do. Jo bumps into Mike, and gasps as he feels something pulling his shirt.

The stick Jo had put into her pack embedded itself into his shirt, and tore off a small section as the jockette onto her forward. Mike gasps, his hair slicking back, a cocky grin dressed on his face.

"Hey where's Heather? Vito wants some sugar!" he runs a hand through his hair, his thick Jersey accent prevelant.

"Wha- Mike? What do you mean 'where's Heather'?" Zoey asks, Vito turning to her and notices the cuffs. "Hey what's the big idea huh? I know you wanna touch the Vito but chaining yourself to me is a lil crazy eh?"

"Mike, this isn't funny anymore. We need to get going." Zoey, now frowning deeply, tries to pull him along with her.

"I don't think so toots, gotta find my girl Heather!" He grins, walking away from their intended route. Zoey gasps and angrily pulls against Vito, but to no avail.

(static)

"Heather's his girl?!" Zoey angrily shouts in the confessional. "I thought he only liked me!" eyes watering, Zoey lip trembles as she continues. "I-I thought Mike was different. Different from all the guys back home. But I guess not…" a tear rolls down her cheek, and she wipes it away. "Fine, if that's how he wants to play…it's time to get serious." Her face hardens, determination in her eyes.

"We should be arriving at the cave shortly, I sense high levels of cursed energy up ahead." Dawn says, patting Heather on the shoulder and pointing forwards. "I guess your weird psychic powers can be useful from time to time…" Heather says with surprising genuinity, the pair stopping just short of the cave. Dawn dismounts and hands her the bag, and after rummaging through it she pulls out the idol piece. "All we have to do is throw this into the cave and we win, right?" she asks herself, and winds up her arm.

"Wait!" Dawn shouts, putting a hand on Heather's arm. "What do you mean wait? We're gonna win this part of the challenge!"

Dawn points towards the cave, a slightly nervous look on her face. "I think they might make that difficult…" she replies, the Queen Bee turning and gasping. Three Willy beavers exited the cave's mouth, snarling at the two girls. "Can't you talk to them or something, like you did to that bear?!" Heather takes a step back.

"No. The only thing I can see in their aura is eating us!" she shouts, and the two make a break for it. The beavers roar and chase after the pair, Vito and a stoic Zoey arriving at the same time from behind some large

" 'Ey Heather! What's the big idea huh? The Vito show is right here!" he shouts, turning to walk after the black haired girl. He is suddenly jerked towards Zoey, who has the connecting rope in her hands. "Don't. Even. Think about it." she bluntly tells Vito, the Jersey boy giving her a confused look. "Listen good toots, nobody tells Vito what to do. Not even if they look like a-"

Zoey slams her knee into his private parts, and a loud crunch can be heard. "Shut up…and give me the bag." she held out her hand in waiting.

"Okay…Whatever the lady wants." Vito manages, a tear rolling down his cheek, handing the bag to her before crumpling to the ground.

The Indie Chick grabs their piece of the idol, and tosses it in the cave. "Zoey? What…what happened?" A groggy Mike asks, hand on his head as he slowly gets up. "We won the challenge. You two timer." Zoey mutters, not even meeting his surprised gaze.

His mouth opens and closes in shock, but no words come out. As Mike is about to reply, Jo and Jasmine arrive at the cave's entrance.

"Quick, throw the idol piece in!" Jasmine shouts, handing the panting jockette the pack. "Just…give me…a second…" she pants, wiping sweat off her brow. She reaches in and pulls out the idol, throwing it into the cave with ease.

"Yes! We totally won!" She shouts, only to turn and see Zoey and Mike watching them. "Oh come on!" She angrily shouts.

"Oh no…Vito showed up in front of Zoey of all people!" Mike groans, head held in his hands. "I don't know if I can ever recover from this one." he buries his head even farther in his hands. "Did you see the way she didn't even look at me?! She totally hates me right now! I have to tell her, otherwise I don't know if I'll ever get her back…" he says, curling up into the fetal position in shame.

Back on Wawanakwa, the teams stand near three picnic tables, a red sheet over each one and totem poles behind them. "And that's another point for the dream team of Mike and Zoey!" Chris announces, the host walking out from behind one of the totem poles.. "Good work Zoey!" Mike awkwardly laughs, holding up his hand nervously. The Indie Chick says nothing, not even acknowledging his presence.

"Fun day so far huh?" The host starts, the camera zooming in on him as he makes his way over towards the leftmost team. "Moldy food, angry beavers and curses, but it's time for someone to win this thing!" he shouts, stopping at Dawn and Heather's table. "So far only Mike and Zoey have won anything, so one of the teams better win to save their butts from elimination."

He grabs a hold of the sheet, pulling it off to reveal what lay underneath. "Oh my!" Dawn gasps, seeing the contents. On the table sat the eliminated contestants' heads, carved out of wood. "Relax, it's just Eva's head made out of wood." she huffs, rolling her eyes.

"Before we start, this is your last chance for the wimp key!" he grins, pulling out the key and dangling it in front of the group. After seconds of no reply, he shrugs and tucks the key beneath his shirt.

"This…is the totem Pole of Shame…and Humiliation!" the host smiles. Cutting to Duncans wooden head, the camera pans down a completed stack as Chris continues. "You must assemble a stack of your former fellow campers, in the order they were eliminated." The camera stops at Sadies face, and cuts back to Chris. He grins darkly, pulling out a whistle. "Let's see some heads roll!" he blows into his whistle, the sharp cry signaling the teams to start.

/

"Okay, as much as I don't want to remember these losers, I will tolerate it if it means avoiding elimination. Sound good?" Heather asks Dawn, who already had assembled the first two heads. "Oh yes, seeing as you caused nearly half of the eliminations either indirectly or on purpose, you should know the order well!" she states, not even looking at her.

/

"Was DJ eliminated after B? Or before?" Mike asks, raising both heads in question. "I don't know…why don't you figure it out?" Zoey mutters, a deep set scowl plastered on her face. "Zoey, can you work with me for just a second here? I wanna get this over with!" he pleads.

"Oh, so you can go make out with Heather?!" she snaps, giving the lanky boy an intense glare. "What?! NO!" he shouts, now getting frustrated himself. "That's not what I mean at all!"

/

"Let's check in on our most argumentative team!" Chris comments, approaching Jo and Jasmine. "Oh? What's this? Jasmine's getting a little teary eyed?" he pokes, the Australian turning around as she holds DJ and Ella's heads.. "They're my friends. I can miss them being around if I want." she says, wiping away the tear on her face.

"Oh yeah? Well maybe you can join them after this challenge-OW!" Chris is smacked by a flying head, and falls to the ground with a thud. Jasmine turns to see Jo assembling the heads, not making eye contact. "He was pissing me off. Don't get any bright ideas." she grumbles almost defensively.

/

"Zoey, we gotta start this challenge otherwise we'll fall behind and Heather could stay!" Mike shouts, Zoey still refusing to move. "That's probably what you want, seeing as you can barely remember the order at all." she huffs, closing her eyes and looking away out of pettiness.

Mike sets down the head he was holding, and sighs. "Fine, I didn't want it to come to this, but maybe this will wake you up." he turns and cups a hand around his mouth. "Chris! Give me the wimp key!" he calls out to the host, Zoey whipping her head around and looking at Mike in disbelief. "Don't you dare!" She shouts, trying to pull back on the rope as Mike slowly drags her forward.

/

"Tyler next, right?" Jo asks Jasmine, the pair continuing to assemble the heads, but stop when Mike is seen pulling Zoey towards their table, where Chris was laid out.

"Wee..have..a..wiener! Chris can be heard announcing, the two teams stopping to look back at the only remaining team. The camera pans over to Dawn and Heather, Chris holding up their arms in victory. Stars swirl over his head, as he continues his announcement. "Hawn and Deather are the winners of the final challenge! But Mike, Dave, and Zoey have the coveted invincibility pass, so don't vote for them!" he smiles goofily before falling back to the ground, presumably knocked back out.

"Not too shabby, weird girl." Heather gives her a small grin, to which Dawn returns.

"Heather is the most unethical, vile, and heartless competitor left." Dawn tells the confessional, the camera zoomed in unusually close. "I have made it my goal to bring her down, and save Mike from her wrath!" The camera zooms out to show Heather also in the outhouse with Dawn. "Bold of you to say that. I can't wait to send you packing before you ever get a chance, freak." she smiles darkly, Dawn pouting at her words.

"You've all cast your votes and made your decisions." Chris voices over the usual shot of the island at night, the suspenseful music fading into the background. Zooming in on the campfire pit, the seven remaining campers sitting on the stumps, now free from their cuffs.

"Remember, if you do not receive a marshmallow, you must walk to the dock of shame," the camera cuts to show the dock and boat awaiting its next victim, "and board the boat of losers." Chris reminds the group, the camera cutting back to the host as he lifts the plate of marshmallows up. "And you can never come back."

He grabs three marshmallows and tosses them to Mike, Zoey, and Dave. "the three of you, congrats! You're moving on." he grabs another marshmallow and tosses it to Heather. "You're safe too Heather."

"Only two marshmallows left, but three campers." the host picks up another treat. "Jo, you live another day." he announces, the jockette pumping her fist as she catches the treat in her mouth. Dawn and Jasmine, who had been smiling confidently, both go wide eyed after seeing only one marshmallow left on Chris' plate. "That's a surefire way to wipe a smile off a camper's face! Show them a plate with only one marshmallow on it!" he points to the plate, grabbing the final one and holding it in his hand. "The final marshmallow of the night goes to…" the music rises in tension, the others watching with nervous expressions. "It's fine, the tea leaves said I must leave the island." Dawn states, standing up to leave. "What are you doing?! You're wrecking it!" he leans in, protesting the mystics' rushed assumption. "Dawn, the last marshmallow is for you." he says, tossing the treat her way. The petite girl holds out her hands as the marshmallow lands softly into her palms, eyes wide with confusion and shock.

"Wait wait wait." Zoey stands up, her face still plastered with an angry look. "Jasmine is going home!? How?!" she cried out, bewildered at the turn of events. "Because, everyone respects Jasmine." Heather scoffs, Jo nodding in agreement. "I can't beat that if they all get to vote for the finale winner." Jo says in agreement, Dave and Mike looking ashamed. "Don't worry guys, it was fun while it lasted!" Jasmine says, pulling the two boys into a hug. "I hope you two pound Heather and Jo into the ground for me, I know they mustve messed with you guys somehow." she whispers, Dave looking like he was about to cry at her words.

The Australian walks towards the boat of losers, her face a mixture of anger, sadness, and relief. Her fists ball up, but unfurl when she hears a familiar voice. "Jasmine! Wait!" Dave runs down the dock, a camera in his hand. "Chris lent me his camera while I was lounging around at the campsite. We should take a picture before you leave." the Normal Boy says. Zoey, Mike and Dawn all join him, and Jasmine smiles widely. "Sure! That'd be killer!"

The music turns soft and sappy, as she grabs the device from Dave. Turning it around, she puts a pinger on the button. "Say, Dingo!" A chorus of Dingo's is heard, the final photo appearing on screen.

Mike stands at the far left of the frame, holding a hand up in a peace sign, and an arm on Dawn's shoulder.. Dave is in the middle of the group, Zoey holding the boy up on her shoulders . Dawn stands below Mike, eyes closed and a toothy grin plastered on her face. Jasmine squats down on the far right of the photo, a happy blush on her face as she has her other arm around Zoey.

/

Ominous music plays, Jo walking to her cabin. Dave can be seen exiting his own cabin, and Jo stops to meet him. "Good. You kept your promise. The shower is all yours." she says, Dave looking guilty as he eyes the mobile shower parked by the girls cabin. "I hope voting off Jasmine was worth it, nerd!" she laughs, Dave hanging his head as she walks away.

Inside the cabin, Jo shuts the door, and sees Heather waiting for her. "You were right, that germaphobe agreed to vote off Jasmine after I offered him to use the mobile shower my team won."she laughs.

"Well, duh. It wasn't that hard to figure out. Now if you'll excuse me, I have something to take care of." Is all Heather says before walking past the jockette and outside. Jo rolls her eyes but says nothing. Cutting back to outside the cabin, a shadow appears by the deck, and Heather turns towards it.

"Thanks for all your help Mike. I think I can manage for the rest of the competition." she laughs, the boy stepping out into the light. "You're serious? No more alliance?" Mike asks, Heather smiling deviously. "Nope. I'm confident I can beat you all without it. Plus, Zoey's over you anyways, I don't need to blackmail you if she doesn't like you." she grins, and walks back inside.

(End Episode)

XXXX

*sighs* I know a lot of you have been itching for a villain to go home, but for the sake of the story, I needed both of them for one more episode. It's tough writing good drama with only nice/indifferent people in the final six/five. Moving on, Jasmine is gone! I really struggled on where to place her when I first started this fic, and literally spent like an hour moving three people around (Jasmine included) just to see how I wanted things to go. But, I ended up settling for this placement, so I hope you all aren't raging at me right now XD. Seeing as how she was respected by a lot of the cast for being a solid leader, stood up for people and was friendly to nearly everyone, Jo and Heather pulled some strings to have her voted out. Jo basically tempted Dave off-screen with the promise of the mobile shower, and seeing how Dave has maybe gotten accustomed to the filth, the temptation of cleansing himself from that would be too much for him to turn away.

Also, Mike and Zoey's love plot is reaching its conclusion! I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out, seeing them grow close only for Mike to pull away once Heather finds out about his secret, only for that to be his downfall(for now)! And Dawn is also more resilient than ever, determined to stop Heather from ruining anyone elses relationships and seeing her kicked off. There's a lot of tension, and there's a lot of neutrality in this final six as well! Next week is the resort of Losers episode, so we can see how the Mix-Up cast feels about the final six! I hope you all had a wonderful fourth of July, and I can't wait for you to read who gets voted off next!

See you all soon,

-Bodvar
