Seriously, sometimes this is very frustrating!
So, 2 years ago I did an omake because I thought My Hero would ended it in 2022, that whats the link were saying, but then Horikoshi got sick a lot and he got to write more chaprters. So I did a special of Izuku saying goodbye, but now with the official ending chapter out and now everything finished, although its going have a sequel probably on a monthly basis a la Boruto. But the main series is over, My Hero Academia is over and I decided to make this goodbye chapter for Izuku. Now enjoy.
At a mysterious area.
Izuku was with his hero uniform with his cape, his favorite attire of all time. He always used for the greatest moment of his life, like being a hero, being with his friends or helping others. However, he was using at a moment that he wasn't imagined happening to him, he was about to leave publication in Shueisha, his story was over and he wasn't going to be in Shonen Jump anymore. After 10 years of publication, he was about to leave the current stories, of course he was very nervous, he was about to leave and be at ``Finished Land``, all his friends were already there but he was super nervous about what was going to happen next.
"I don't wanna go.'' Said Izuku all sad and all nervous.
"Hey Izuku!'' Said someone with a chipper voice.
The teen hero turned to see his ultimate ``veteran``, Luffy who was walking all happily towards him with a big smile on his face.
"Mister Luffy, you're here?
"Yep, I am out with my chapter already. So ready to leave? Be with everyone that was finished? Are you excited?'' Asked Luffy
The green-haired teen started to cry.
"I am scared.'' Said him
"Of what?'' Asked Luffy.
"To be forgot.'' Said Izuku.
"You just ended it this week, plus your anime still has a good number of episodes left. People aren't going to forget about you.'' Said Luffy.
"Yes, but once my anime is over I feel that I will be forgotten by everyone. We are still popular, but all flames ended up being put out. I also don't know if I am ready to be on ``Finished Land``. I am not ready yet! I still have a lot to tell!'' Said Izuku all sad.
Luffy just looked at Izuku with a smile, he saw that expression innumerous times from a lot of characters from other series once their stories were over. He was the big brother that a lot of them need it, because it was like leaving home and it was time to move on.
"Look, I know it's not easy to leave but its time. Come on Izuku, you changed your world for the better and became a great inspiration for many people.'' Said Luffy.
"Yes, but still…I feel I could have done so much more.'' Said Izuku.
"It's ok, even I feel that there is a ton I could've done while I was fighting bad guys. Heck, I never stayed around so long in the same place and I felt I could stayed way more, I bet my crew would be huge if I had done that.'' Said Luffy.
The green hero just looked at Luffy with a look of worried.
"Do you have a feeling that you might end?'' Asked Izuku.
"Of course, everything must end someday.'' Said Luffy.
"Don't you feel worried? Like you're going to die?'' Asked Izuku
"No, a story might be over but we are still alive people memories. Even after I become King of the Pirates there still going to be people wanting me to continue having adventures and have fun for a long time.'' Said Luffy all happy.
"Luffy…when are you going to find the One Piece?'' Asked Izuku all tired.
"I don't know. I feel that I still have less than a decade.'' Said Luffy with a smile.
"My author sends a fanart to yours when he was a teenager, you were over 5 volumes already. Doesn't that scare you?'' Asked Izuku.
"Yes, Oda-sensei is unstoppable!'' Said Luffy.
Luffy soon sat down next to Izuku trying his best to make the green haired teen feel comfort and at peace.
"These past 10 years were nuts. We started small, but I guess thanks to the Hero crazy in the USA we won people heart, but later they loved us because of who we are.'' Said Izuku.
"You might have used that was popular, but people still loved to read about your world. You even had a good spin off, I never had a spin off, but I am sure it would sell.'' Said Luffy.
"I still have so much to se and so much to show to others. I wish I could still have a year or two.'' Said Izuku in tears.
"Every series needs to have a conclusion, Izuku you were the miracle that your author need it.'' Said Luffy.
The green haired teen looked at Luffy a bit confused.
"Your mangaka had two failures in the past, both never made it to 100 chapters.'' Said Luffy talking about Oumagadoki Zoo and Barrage.
"Horikoshi-sensei tried and tried for so many years. Then he had the one-shot idea and his life changed forever.'' Said Izuku thinking on how much he has in common with his creator.
"Never stop trying, this is the way to go. Horikoshi worked hard to achieve success in the industry and after so many changed, he finally get its, like you did.'' Said Luffy.
"I guess you're right.'' Said Izuku feeling a little better.
"Everyone doesn't start perfectly, this what makes us so relatable for our readers. You had to control One For All to the point that you sacrificed to save the world, now that a true hero in my eyes!'' Said Luffy all simple.
The teen just cries at that, hearing that from Luffy himself meant a lot to him.
"Are you going to remember me?'' Asked Izuku.
"Of course! Like all our finished I will always remember you, don't ever think I would forget it.'' Said Luffy.
"But the others? Where are they? Are they just going to see me go and not say goodbye? I think they aren't so excited to about this and…'' Said Izuku and then.
"Izuku!'' Said a chipper voice.
Luffy just smiles as him and Izuku got up to see a bunch of people coming towards them. Who were they? The main characters of the current era of Shonen, the oens still being published as Izuku was about to leave.
"You are awesome and always remember that! There are times that I wanted be like you! So have fun resting!'' Said Yuji Itadori.
"You were a very fragile kid who turned to become a great hero. You thought you need it the strength of a thousand man to win, but your determination along is enougn.'' Said Mr Sakamoto as he eats some ramen.
"I miss when you broke your limbs every so often! That stuff was hilarious! But you changed a lot since then! Good job kid." Said Andy from Undead Unluck
"Look, you take your memes to the face like a true hero. I am still not sure why people keep calling me ``Kagura Bachi Time``. Well, just rest and have fun out there kid.'' Said Chihiro from Kagurabachi.
"You show your love for heroes to the world the same way I want to show my love for the art of Rakugo to the world. You want to be more bombastic, I want to be more artistic. Just be glad you had a good ending. " Said Akane Osaki from Akane Banashi
"I hope you have fun out there Izuku, you show to people that heroes have to give their all in order to maintain peace and not only to rely on them. You are a great guy and I will always remember that!'' Said Taiki from Blue box
"I was always very timid like you, but with everything around us I had to stop being a coward and be strong. You made your world a better place Izuku, never forget that.'' Said Gaku Hachiuche from Dear Anemone
"You inspired me, and I hope to do as much good in the world as you did. I will fight to protect those who I call my friends, and I will remember you for that.'' Said Kaoru Uno from Kyokuto Necromance
"Remember when I imitated All Might!? That was fun! Anyway, just be glad that you solved most of your main problems Izuku. You need to wait and see what the future awaits you.'' Said Roboco from Me e Roboco.
"I also think of you as a great inspiration. I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for your adventures. Don't worry Izuku I am pretty sure you will be in good hands.'' Said Gakuro Yajima from Nue's Exorcist.
"You learned to become a leader that wants what is best for everyone around you. That's a very important lesson that I think you should always embrace.'' Said Hojo Tokiyuki from The Elusive Samurai.
"I am sorry, I don't know any spells to prolong your story, but I was very happy with how it ended it. You show them what you are made of and that quirks aren't what make a hero, a person is what makes them. Good job. Also, are you and Ochaco dating officially?'' Asked Nico Wakatsuki from Witch Watch.
The current protagonists of their series were there, trying to calm Izuku as he was about to leave.
"The magazine is not going to fall if you leave, we still have heavy hitters and luffy itself is a gold machine. We will be fine.'' Said Chiiro.
"You just need a few weeks to relax. Just have fun.'' Said Nico.
"Yes, plus you should be glad that you weren't canceled or your author had died during publication. Or something else…'' Said Gaku.
"Yeah, you could end up like Asta!'' Said Andy pointing to a land that was very far away from them. It was a very small land, there were a few people in there but the one that was standing out was Asta from Black Clover who has been stuck there for almost a year since the change of magazine.
They all could hear Asta screaming, trying to give a message to Izuku.
"I really wanted to be there! Izuku and I are brothers of publication, we came out the same year and our author are good friends! Can't you guys let be there?'' Asked Asta.
"You just have to stay in your house Asta! It's the rule! Not ours but it all thanks to your author and the higher ups!'' Said Luffy.
"Don't you think we would like to have everyone in here to say goodbye. I would like to see Jodio, Anya and Denji, but what can you do? Rules are rules.'' Said Sakamoto,
"Its not fair! I wanted to be there to say goodbye! We had so much history together!'' Scream Asta.
"Sorry bud, you we can't help you.'' Said Roboco.
"Can't I at least try to be on a monthly release?! Tabata-sensei is feeling better!'' Said Asta.
"Sorry, too much bureaucracy that it's not worthy.'' Said Yuji.
"Its not fair! I should have ended months ago! My story is almost done, but thanks to this stupid release schedule I am stuck for years! I wanted to finish and enjoy the other side! Izuku is going to feel alone there! I just wanted….i wanted to remember of our rivalry one more time before its all over!'' Scream Asta in tears.
Izuku took a front step, enough to be around the barrier between magazines. He shouted very loud so Asta could hear him.
"Its been a horror be your rival Asta! People compare us to this day and I couldn't ask fro a better rival of a different series. I loved your story, and I hope you get your story finished and a new anime. You are not a bad character! I will miss you every day for the rest of my life!'' Scream Izuku.
The Black Bull started to cry, hearing all that from his rival of publication was a gift like no other.
"Its was a great pleasure Izuku! I will always remember you too! Have fun in retirement!'' Scream Asta.
"I hope you finish your story too!'' Scream Izuku in tears.
Luffy just laughed at that, just two rivals from different series saying goodbye as one is done before the other.
"I guess this is it.'' Said Luffy.
"When Ichigo and Naruto finished did you cry?'' Asked Izuku.
"Of course, I miss them every day. The shonen trinity is nothing with just me here alone. The thing is that when I am finished, I know I will see them again, that's the thing Izuku we are never truly alone, we are always surrounded by the people that love us and we love them back.'' Said Luffy.
Izuku just started to cry as Luffy patted him on the shoulder, it was time.
"Have fun there.'' Said Luffy.
The green teen just look a bit anxious but he was starting to leave the area, he was about to leave Shonen Jump
"Thanks for everything! I will always remember you all no matter what!'' Scream Izuku
Luffy and the other characters just smile and wave goodbye at the teen hero. It was really his time.
"Ok, here we go.'' Said Izuku all nervous.
Once he stepped out, he felled into a huge hole, leading him to the series that were finished already.
Izuku felt he was going to fall for forever, because that was the sensation that he was feeling but it wouldn't last for that long.
"Aaaah!'' Scream Izuku
BAM
The teen finally hit the ground, but he wasn't sure how the surrounding looked like. He was a bit shaky but soon two people came to look over to see him.
"Are you ok there?'' Asked a man with orange hair.
"Yeah, you were screaming a lot.'' Said a man with blonde hair and a long cap.
The teen hero looked up and saw the other two from the legendary Shonen Trinity, former Substitute Shinigami Ichigo Kurasaki and Hokage Naruto Uzumaki.
"You…'' Said Izuku all nervous but the two went over to help him get up.
"Good job there kid.'' Said Ichigo.
"Yes, I saw a lot of myself on you. No wonder the current generation loves you so much.'' Said Naruto.
"Speaking of which, hey guys he is here!'' Scream Ichigo and soon Izuku saw a crowd forming around.
Izuku layed his eyes as legendary characters from various stories step forward. He couldn't believe his eyes on everyone who was tthere.
Senku, Tanjiro Kamado, Koro sensei, Sakata Gintoki, Shoyo Hintata, Kuroko Tetsuya, Yoh Asakura, Mash, Shoyo Hinata, Emma, Yusuke Urameshi, Sakuragi Hanmichi, Toriko, all the Joestars, Rito Yuuki, Yugi ,L, Goku and so many others were present to congratulate Izuku.
"Hey everyone, he finished his series! He did it! He became a great hero!'' Scream Ichigo.
They all went to see the young hero, to praise him, congratulated him and hoping he would like the retirement life.
"Where are my friends?'' Asked him.
"On the big party on the neighborhood, I am sure you all are going to love to live in here.'' Said Toriko.
"Its way better than where we used to live.'' Said Emma with a smile.
"Also, Izuku.'' Said Shoyo Hinata.
"Huh? What is it?'' Asked him.
"What would you have to say for your fans?'' Asked Kuroko.
"I would thank them for the bottom of my heart. It's thanks to them that we are what at the moment. If it wasn't for the support and love, we are not sure if we would survive for this long.'' Said Izuku.
"Well, fan appreciation is one thing, but they want to give their love and support in another form for you.'' Said Gintoki.
"What is it?'' Asked Izuku
"Fanfics! And fanart! For centuries and centuries! They will keep doing it forever!'' Said Gintoki.
"Uh?'' Asked Izuku confused.
"You want to read Izuku having 50 girlfriends you go it! Him being an alpha, go it! Izuku being out and Bakugo and Uraraka treat him like garbage! You go it! Come to the My Hero fan base, your mind will be in shock for what you find!'' Said Gintoki.
"What?!'' Asked Izuku confused.
Toriko puts a hand on Izuku shoulder.
"Trust me kid, your fanbase…is not one of the best ones. There are good people, but…yeesh!'' Said Toriko taking a look of what people of the My Hero fanbase have made, and some of it is kind of disturbing. He was glad his fanbase was very small compared to his.
"Uh?'' Asked Izuiu confused.
"At least it's not as messed up as mine.'' Said Ichigo.
"Or me, I have 10 times worst in my fanbase. Don't even go to a dark unchecked fan projects of my series.'' Said Naruto shivering after what he saw online about his series. There was stuff that he made him put sake in his eyes.
"What!'' Scream Izuku.
"Whatever guys, lets give this guy the party of the decade!'' Said Soma with some fried octopus on Peanut Butter ready.
"Yeah! Izuku! Izuku! Izuku! Izuku!'' Said the characters taking Izuku to his new home.
The teen hero just smiles at that, this was going to be his new life, be surrounded by all these legendary people by his side and helping him moving on now that his series is over.
On the other side.
Luffy was just looked at the sky, just smiling as he thinks of Izuku and all his adventures on the My Hero universe. For a scranny kid he turned into a really good hero.
"You did good Izuku, you did good.'' Said Luffy as he puts his hat under his eyes.
So yes, this is a special omake that I wanted to do ever since I saw that My Hero was going to be over with. So many memories and so many frustrations, I don't know where to start.
I have a big letter about My Hero and me and what its has done over the years.
The idea of the Shonen Jump series all living in a big city and in a neighborhood like a Sims place is kind of an idea of mine. Like in one county you have the Bleach side, and another you have the Naruto side and etc and etc.
There is a big Shonen Jump Character Two Page Spread done by Horikoshi which you should check out. There is the Big Three, Soma, Toriko, Gintoki and so many others. It's a really cool view and I wish more authors could do that and show to people.
