Rise Of G-Morph And The Amazing Spider-Man by Amit Barabi:
Here is a summary for those who read this story on their phone's browser:
Eunice chooses Gwen Stacy as the successor of the Hero Of Heroes, Ben Tennyson. Please read and enjoy her origin as the heroine, G-Morph, and her ever-growing adventure with her arachnoid boyfriend, Spider-Man. This story is mainly based on the "The Amazing Spider-Man" movies and the "Marvel Cinematic Universe", but it also has some original ideas. Peter and Gwen are pairing. I was inspired by The Incredible Muffin's My Alien Academia and Ben 10: Unlimited. This story was originally titled "Wristed Heroes." This is the first story of my big planned series, Amit's Cinematic Universe, or ACU for short.
Ben 10 does not belong to me. Spider-Man does not belong to me. I tried to find one of Kaafuu's magic teachers to claim those properties, but the dragons from Avatar burned me when I could not dance well enough.
Here is how Sling Rings work in the Amit Cinematic Universe:
Sling Rings are Earthling Wizards' invention and main method of transportation. Masters of Mystic Art can channel their energy through their Sling ring to activate fixed spots on the globe's surface and create a temporary warp field that allows them to travel to other fixed locations on Earth, the other locations on the Nine Realms, and other dimensions. Those warp fields can't be moved, and it takes around 30 seconds to open or close them. There are about a billion spots like these on Earth and an average of 125,000 on each of the other realms. Those spots can be accessed by the Bifrost as well. The world with the lowest number of those spots is Niflheim, and those spots are locked by Odin's life force.
I changed how those portals work because they are far too powerful and inconsistent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Chapter 11: A New Development - Part 2.
(Multiverse-M, Universe-616, Muspelheim, 2012)
Ben walked on Muspelheim's surface and searched for a lead. The biome was as lifeless as the battleground of his last confrontation with the Living Death but much hotter and brighter. He will never forget the dark day that took his cousin and his mortality from him and forced him to outlive his son.
When he got there, Ben was forced to turn into Big Chill to handle the heat and maintain his cover. His job was to find what he was looking for and avoid being discovered by the locals or Asgard's gatekeeper, and a human who can survive this planet's heat will not do, no matter how well he can pretend to suffer.
Thankfully, after one hour, Ben found a breed of dragons that could help make things easier. They were not intelligent enough for the Omnitrix to copy, as they were too wild, but their physical appearance was good enough.
He first cast a cloaking spell to prevent Heimdall from seeing him and relied on an external source from the planet's moon to better maintain the spell. He turned into his Volcaptailian form, Sunburn, and he cast a Dragon Mask spell that replaced his cloaking spell and altered his appearance to take one of the local wild dragons and hide his Omnitrix. He was thankful that Volcaptailians had a powerful magical affinity on top of his weak Anodite spark. It will allow him to maintain the illusion even when the moon gets out of range and or if he has to go underground. He felt the presence of an underground facility, but it was far, and the only entrance he could sense was a lot farther.
It was not the first volcanic planet he had visited, but it sure was the most boring one to date. The homeworlds of the Pyronites, Magarockian Demons, Volcaptailians, and Facalassers also had many volcanic biomes. Still, he found a sense of culture in those worlds even after they were abandoned. This world, unlike many of the ones he visited in other universes, was one of the nine most significant to this universe on a cosmic level. Something tragic must have happened for this biome to be nothing but a scar on the surface, and he doubted it was the Living Death.
After a long walk and a few short flights, Sunburn found something. It looked like a black satellite that fired a beam of concentrated heat at the ground and sucked a certain ore from below the surface.
"Vile beast!" Someone shouted. Sunburn turned and saw a human-sized creature that could pass as a devil or a demon. It had a fairly human shape, save for the giant and curved horns coming out of its forehead and magma skin. Come to think about it, if the small thing could set its head on fire and lose its horns, it could pass as a Pyronite. The creature exhaled a fireball, but instead of firing it at Sunburn, he held it and used its magic to turn the ball into a spear, "Get away from here if you don't want to become the king's next meal!"
Sunburn took the warning with a fake animalistic growl and flew away and around the work site to the rarest city. He will not fail at protecting his successor's future, and he hoped his unpaid agent would keep her safe in this new timeline.
His suspicion was proved right so far, and he will not let Eunice bite more than she could chew, not after last time.
(Multiverse-M, Universe-616, Asgard, November 1020)
Ben used the Astro-Playlist of his aliens to destroy as many Living Death spaceships as he could, but hundreds still landed on Asgard's shores and deployed thousands of cultists that invaded the outskirts and damaged the Bifrost Bridge.
Ben, Kevin, and Odin's army fought for hours while Thor, Loki, and their friends kept the civilians away from the invading forces. Thor wanted to join the fight, but Loki convinced him that their people needed a last line of defense in case their father and his guests were not enough to keep the enemy away.
Ben's Omnitrix told him that Eunice was still alive, but the invasion and her signal were enough to convince him that she was in trouble. One of them had to go save Eunice, and since Gwendolyn was the only one who could teleport, Ben ordered her to rescue their friend as soon as he learned of the upcoming arrival of the Living Death.
After killing over eight thousand cultists, Ben, now in his Magarockian form, Elf Health could finally take a moment to heal a few injured Asgardian soldiers while Kevin, in a mutated form, kept him secured. Elf Health was Ben's best healer alien, but he had low mana reserves and could not do much beyond easing the Asgardians' wounds without exhausting himself or taking mana from other sources. The gatekeeper noticed this and threw a tree next to the Magarockian Elf, who got the message, drained the tree until it started to decay, and then used the energy to complete the healing session.
"Tennyson, did you notice that?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah!" Elf Health answered as he transformed into Eye-Guy and blasted multiple cultists, "They are a lot weaker than they should be, and the wounds they inflict don't carry the same cursed venom!"
"This universe was not touched by the Omniverse War!" Eye-Guy realized, "They were so powerful in other universes because HE empowered them! We can end that cult here and now!"
"Your friends are at risk and there are still many of them on that planet!" Heimdall told them urgently, "There is not much time!"
Eye-Guy's eyes glowed golden like Heimdall's, giving him a clear vision of the fight else world. He saw the leader of the Living Death loading his rifle with two God-Killer bullets, taking aim at Eunice and realizing what was about to happen. He transformed into Jetray again and flew at top speed toward that planet. He entered the solar system when he saw his cousin getting shot in the shoulder and chained by those lizard monsters.
"Gwen, stall!" Jetray shouted into space, hoping his cousin could hear him telepathically, "I'm coming!
He was about to enter the planet's atmosphere when he saw the leader aiming his rifle at Gwendolyn's head. Heimdall's gift was gone when he could see things through his normal eyes.
"GWEN!" He shouted as he heard the gunshot and saw his cousin's lifeless body falling with his own eyes.
...
Ben had never killed so many people in such a short time before that day, and the leader was his last victim. Even the Omniverse War did not force his hand that much. The Living Death was gone but at a terrible price. Gwendolyn died, Eunice was in critical condition, and Ben could only claim the life of the leader when he realized too late that he cursed him with his immortality.
"I am cursing you with life," Was the leader's last statement, "You have destroyed everything I lived for, live to regret it. Time will be your enemy..." He coughed out blood, "You will be forced to watch everyone you know and love die... You killed me, but you will know that... I... Bead... You!" His bloody coughs turned into a burst of laughter as his body started to decay and his breath left his body.
(Multiverse-M, Earth-616, Oscorp Tower, January 2012)
"Things got even worse after that," Eunice continued the story. Ever since Ben's message came, Eunice tried to tell the story of the Living Death, but she needed to pause occasionally when Gwen needed to focus on something else or whenever she started to flicker. Thankfully, Oscorp Tower had special rooms for private phone calls and Gwen pretended to use her phone while talking to Eunice, "After he was cursed, Ben saved Loki from a dying cultist and was banished from Asgard and its ally worlds by Odin nearly immediately. Kevin and Ben mourned for years and I-I-I c-co-cou-couldn't barely talk or stand every time something reminded me of that day."
"That is terrible!"
"That was only the beginning," Eunice said, "When I finished the first phase of my recovery, we learned that Ben's first wife was pregnant, and the realization that he would outlive his own son nearly broke him. Ben was there for his son, but he also felt obsessed with keeping him away from any danger, and when his son died without any children of his own, Ben was left for hundreds of years as the last Tennyson in existence."
"But what about Kaafuu?" Gwen asked.
"It is not important right n-no-now!" Eunice did not allow unnecessary distractions, "Anyway, Ben w-wi-will never let us deal with Alien V on our o-ow-own after what they did to him. This is why you to tell Peter as soon as you know he can function afterward."
...
Peter entered Oscorp Tower, and thankfully, he did not need to talk to Felicia this time. He checked and signed his contract at 4 p.m. and was surprised to find that it didn't require much effort. This left him with two and a half hours to work and initiate his plan before escorting his aunt at 7 p.m.
He and Gwen shared a smile when they saw each other.
"Welcome to the team, Peter," Curtis said, "I am sure you and Gwen have enough experience working together on school projects, but this is going to be different. Today, we are going to use the theoretical equations the two of you gave me on different occasions and find a way to crack the Decay-Rate Algorithm. However, as we are short on lab rats and time, we are going to run our experiments on this holographic simulator. It runs biological changes at high speed and has an 80% accuracy when it comes to survival indication."
"Wow..." Peter exclaimed in excitement, "What other applications is this technology used for? Do you let doctors simulate important surgeries on this thing? Who developed this tech?"
"Gwen?" The doctor gestured for his more experienced intern to answer Peter's questions while he set the equipment.
"Well, by order," Gwen spoke and kept Peter's eyes on her, "This model only works for this kind of experiment, but other models can simulate relatively simple brain surgeries. The technology was developed by Norman Osborn and its surgery simulation features were tested by a brain surgeon named Stephen Strange."
Peter had more questions, but Doctor Connors pointed at his watch to indicate that they needed to work.
...
Gwen found a chair to sit on and tried to think of ways to develop this research further. She knew they had made an incredible development in the last two hours that rivaled her entire short career in Oscorp, but she could practically see the ceiling that held them back every time she saw the mouse taking longer to die. Peter must have felt similarly because he looked guilty every time his equation failed. She wondered if Grey Matter could solve this issue from home, but that was unlikely.
She decided to take a lesson from Howard and clear her head from thoughts about the project while resting. She considered taking this moment and telling Peter what was going on with her in the last week, as Ben instructed her in his message, but she could not see him anywhere.
"Hey, Eunice," Gwen approached her invisible friend, "Have you seen where Peter went? I want to talk to him about… everything."
"He told your boss that he needed to use the toilet and went in that direction," Eunice appeared and pointed to a certain hallway, "I believe in Ben's judgment of character, but do you think it is the best time? You will have to return to work soon, and I doubt that anyone can function well after their view over the structure of reality and the girl they love is altered. If you ask me, you should have told him when you last saw him instead of exploring his tongue's movement.
Gwen got off her comfortable chair, "There is no bathroom in that direction, but no security cameras, either. Can you trace him?" She asked with a red face and walked down the dark hallway while ignoring the statement about their makeout session.
"I am on it!" Eunice practically flew past Gwen as she ran deeper into the hallway and phased through the door to the Dark Lab when she saw Peter closing it. Gwen was too far for her to get inside last time, but it was no longer an issue.
While walking behind Eunice, Gwen reflected on her recent statement. She realized that even though Peter might not react positively, she had to inform him for their collective well-being. There was always something that made situations challenging, and with the constant threat of Alien V, Peter deserved to be informed. Gwen couldn't guarantee that he would be in the best frame of mind to receive the news, but she could always test the water for the best opportunity.
When Eunice entered the room, she saw Peter plugging a red and blue flash drive into the main computer.
"Alright, Karen, did you turn off the security?" Peter asked.
"Positive, Peter," Karen's voice came out of the computer, "No one can tell I am inside the system. Which parts of the data do you want me to extract?"
Eunice phased out of the room in time to see Gwen approaching the door and staring at the touch-screen security terminal. The terminal appeared to have been recently damaged, with slight cracks and dents.
"Is he in there?" Gwen whispered.
"He is, and I think he is trying to steal something from Oscorp," Eunice said sadly in her normal voice. There was no point in whispering when only one person could hear you. She wanted Gwen to be happy, but there was no way around it.
"You better not be pulling my leg this time, Eunice. Why would he do that?" Gwen was confused, and after lacking some necessary sleep for the last two days, and spending a lot of energy on Oscorp research, she struggled to think clearly, "I need to see him. How do I get inside?"
"I have memorized the entrance code, but before I help you get inside, you must take a deep breath and be open to every possibility. He might have a good reason," Eunice told her seriously and Gwen followed before raising her hand to the console, "You will have to use one finger and move it exactly the same as I do."
Gwen struggled to unlock the door, taking two attempts due to a damaged terminal that made the interface more difficult. Once inside, she saw Peter disconnecting a flash drive from the computer and turning around, caught in the act.
The door closed behind her.
"Pe-Peter...?" At that moment, Gwen couldn't keep track of the myriad of emotions she was feeling, "Wh-What are you doing?!"
Peter observed the flash drive in his possession and Gwen's anxious expression. He realized he had no choice but to be honest with her.
"I-It is what it looks like, but I have a good reason."
"Speak up!" Gwen snapped in anger. Despite her desire to trust her boyfriend and believe that he didn't use her to gain access to Oscorp and steal valuable company information, the situation unfolding before her seemed to indicate otherwise.
"Who is there?!" The teenagers heard Connors walking towards the locked door from afar, "What's going on?"
"Norman Osborn killed my parents!" Peter said outright.
"What?" All emotions other than confusion left Gwen.
"All I have on this flash drive is information about them, including a video that my father made to expose that asshole, but it was intercepted before it could reach the news," Peter pleaded, "You have to believe me, Gwen."
"I am coming in!" Connors attempted to unlock the door, but the terminal was created for right-handed individuals and the damage made it even more challenging. Eventually, he managed to open the door, only to see his two interns kissing next to the spider room, "What the...?! What are you doing in here?!"
"We weren't going to go that far!" Peter said stressfully as he and Gwen parted with their hands being the last to separate, "We were just-"
"Not you," Connors told Peter and pointed at Gwen with a cold expression, "Explain why you were doing it in here during work hours and how you got in."
"Th- The last few days were more stressful than others, so I asked Peter to... help me relieve some in a private place with no cameras... and the door was opened..."
Connors sighed, "I am going to let it slide this time, but I want you two to keep these activities to your free time. I would have told you to get back to work, but I forgot to turn off the simulator and one of my assistants forgot to clean the ventilation system, so it is too hot to function effectively. You can go home and meet me tomorrow after you help me write all of today's notes."
Peter nodded and apologized for his behavior with Gwen while Gwen stayed behind momentarily and stared at the flash drive Peter handed her. She kept it hidden and joined the others before offering Peter a ride home so he could explain everything.
...
The ride to Peter's home started with an awkward silence, but Peter broke it.
Peter explained everything about the suitcase and his plan to take down Osborn to Gwen but didn't mention the spider bite that gave him powers. However, Gwen filled the gaps in her head and had to fight back the urge to correct his wrong assumption about Alien V being an Oscorp assassin. It was not the right time, "I didn't lie to you," he said, "Thank you for taking a risk for me."
"I can't... It's difficult to believe! I'll have to watch the video to confirm what you said," she spoke in a cold tone. "I nearly got in trouble because of you just now. Regardless of whether or not you told me the truth, I could lose my job and jeopardize my career, so it's best not to deceive me."
It was quiet for another moment.
"I really liked kissing you," Peter tried to schmooze his way into Gwen's good mood, "You are a great kisser."
Gwen blushed and could not hide her smile. As crazy as the circumstances were, she loved kissing Peter just as much as he did, "Yeah, it was good for me, too."
"For whatever it is worth, I am sorry for dragging you into this," Peter apologized, "Your life is a lot more normal than mine, and you wouldn't believe what I got from my first visit to Oscorp Tower."
'Your powers, obviously. Why not tell me about that? Wait, who am I kidding? I had more than one chance to share my secret,' Gwen thought and took a deep breath, "Look, Peter, I get that your life is getting weirder, and so is mine, but if I am losing my future for you, it better be worth it."
"So, do you believe me?" He asked.
"I want to believe you, but that also means that I helped create a weapon, and I don't want to ruin the lives of every Oscorp employee either. I am still young and can find another job, but some of my coworkers can't afford to lose theirs. If you... we take down Oscorp, that ship will be drawn with many passengers."
"What if we discover that Osborn solely relied on his resources?" Peter proposed. "Wouldn't it be enough to bring him down without implicating the company?"
Her response was not optimistic, "The impact on the company's reputation will be significant, even if your evidence is strong. This could result in a loss of contracts and investors, and ultimately lead to layoffs for many of us."
"If it helps, I can ask Ben to unlock your Fat Galvan form when you meet," Eunice said from the back seat, "While Fit Galvans are strategic geniuses and can work well with technology and chemicals, Fat Galvans are good at law analyzing and could help you take your CEO with minor damage to his company."
Gwen was grateful to Eunice, but she couldn't express her gratitude at that moment without arousing suspicion from Peter. After all, she had just agreed to help him accuse her boss of murder and illegal use of genetic research for weapons.
Gwen parked her car in front of Peter's home shortly after Eunice's suggestion and was about to tell Peter about the Omnitrix, but Peter noticed a bunch of missing calls from his uncle and aunt.
"Oh, shit!" Peter exclaimed, "I forgot to tell my uncle and aunt about working at Oscorp Tower tonight!"
"What's the problem?" Gwen asked in confusion, "Is it a bad thing?"
"Yes!" He explained, "I was supposed to escort my aunt home because my uncle changed shifts today and couldn't take her himself!"
"Oh..." Gwen realized how bad it was and was forced to delay her confession to Peter once again, "Do you want me to come with you and explain things better?"
"No, no. It is my problem. You already do more good for me than I deserve. I need to deal with it myself, and I think I can handle it."
"He is lying," Eunice said from the back, "He doesn't believe that he can handle it, and he is going to be punished."
"Then it is not up to debate," Gwen said confidently, "I am coming with you."
Peter tried to reason, "You don't have to do that."
"I know," Gwen said, "But I want to."
"You are going to be a great mother," Eunice added.
...
When the couple exited Gwen's car, Peter looked at his phone again and saw a new voicemail added to the missing calls. He noticed that Gwen stopped walking and saw his uncle exiting the house with a mixed expression of anger, disappointment, and concern.
"There you are!" Uncle Ben exclaimed, "Are you okay?!"
"I'm fine," Peter answered.
"Good. Then get inside and apologize to your aunt like a man," He then turned to Gwen, "Thanks for driving him home, but this is a family issue."
Gwen felt the urge to protest, but Peter signaled her to stop. She realized she had overstepped and sensed something wasn't right. With a sigh, she obeyed and prepared to leave, but not before embracing Peter and whispering, "Good luck."
Upon entering, Peter attempted to apologize for his actions, but his aunt reassured him that it wasn't needed. However, his uncle believed that an apology was necessary as Peter had made May walk home alone at night and withheld a significant secret from them. Peter explained that he had intended to surprise them with news of his new job and had hoped to make it to the hospital in time. Unfortunately, his phone had been broken, and he was unable to contact them. When questioned about why he didn't use his girlfriend's phone, Peter claimed that he was distracted.
"So your aunt and my wife had to walk twelve blocks alone in the middle of the night because you got distracted?" The elder Parker tried to express how bad the situation could have been because of Peter's choices without unnecessary anger, "Listen, son, you are a lot like your father, and that is a good thing, but he and I grew up with philosophy, a principle even.
"When you can do good things for others, it is your moral obligation to do those things. That is what is at stake here, not your choice, but your responsibility."
Peter paused at the mention of the Parker philosophy. He tried to argue his side of things, but without sharing important details about his powers and his responsibility to prove the murder of his parents while helping his family's financial struggle, he only escalated the situation and left the house in anger, and thankfully, had just enough control over his anger to keep the glass part of the door intact.
Peter decided to at least get the organic eggs and milk his aunt wanted and entered the nearest store. He managed to avoid his uncle, who tried to convince him to get back home, by climbing to high spots, and found the store. Unfortunately, he spent too much of his money on train rides and could not afford the milk after buying the eggs. The seller was a huge jerk who refused to cut the price by two cents and acted like holding the line was a bigger deal than it was when there was only one other person behind Peter.
Peter was on his way out when the man with the dirty blonde hair and sunglasses moved forward in line. He saw the man pushing something off the counter, and when the seller cleaned it up reluctantly, the thief stole all of the cash in the cash register in a smooth motion that revealed the star tattoo on his left wrist. The man saw Peter watching him and threw the bottle of milk to Peter and gave him a shush sign to make his bribe clear.
Peter exited the store and took a shortcut via an alleyway, where he saw his uncle. He showed him the eggs and milk, but then the thief ran out of the store, bumped into Peter from behind, and almost made him drop the two items. During the incident, the thief ended up between the two Parkers and accidentally dropped his gun near Uncle Ben. One of the Parkers attempted to grab the gun before the thief could use it to harm anyone, but unfortunately, the two struggled over the weapon. As a result of the scuffle, the gun ended up pointing at Peter, and the thief's finger was on the trigger. Uncle Ben quickly positioned himself between the thief and Peter to prevent any harm to his nephew.
The teenager stood there in shock when he heard the gunshot and saw his uncle collapsing with a bloody red stain on his chest.
"Oh, God! Uncle Ben, no!" Peter cried and tried to put pressure on his uncle's wounded chest, "Call an ambulance! SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!"
His sobbing did not last long before he felt a sharp pain in his back, lost most sensation under his neck, and fell next to his uncle. His vision grew blurry and he could barely tilt his head enough to see a giant humanoid rat with spiky black hair made of quills jumping off a roof next to him and his uncle and smelling the latter. Was that... thing... going to eat his uncle?! "Stay away from him!"
The beast gave Peter a look with its green eyes before being replaced in a flash of green light by another humanoid creature made out of yellow and brown rocks with pincers for hands and a metallic head floating between its sharp shoulders. The new monster placed one of its pincers in front of Uncle Ben's chest. In a moment, the bullet was magnetized to the pincer.
The alien was replaced in another flash of green light by an elf with blonde hair and second thumbs instead of pinkies. He placed one of his strange hands on the bleeding chest and surrounded it with a turquoise aura while the other arose in a strange gesture before any stink in the nearby area died and magenta mist surrounded the elf's higher hand, absorbed into it, and brightened his lower hand on Peter's uncle.
When they could hear sirens, the elf's ears perked and he left Peter's uncle, pulled out the black quill from Peter's back, and disappeared in another flash of green light, but Peter could not see where it went or what it turned into this time.
Sensation returned to Peter's muscles gradually and he hurried to keep putting pressure on the wound, but the paramedics pushed him aside and provided the necessary medical help while Peter sat there with no power to help and barely enough strength to move.
...
Peter could not remember much from the ride to the hospital. All he could recall was the image of his uncle barely breathing while the medics did their best to keep him alive.
"We will do whatever we can," The doctor said, "But his chances are not great. An officer will come here soon to take a statement from you and contact other relatives, so please stay here."
Peter sat on an empty bench in a poorly lit hallway and sobbed. It was all his fault. He caused his uncle to change shifts. He let his drive for vengeance take over and forgot about his aunt. He did not act to stop that thief even though he had the power to do so, and his uncle took the bullet for him. IT WAS HIS FAULT!
He kept crying for several more minutes.
"I know how you are feeling right now," A man whom Peter could have sworn was not sitting next to him a moment ago said calmly and sympathetically, "I lost many people I loved. Most of my family and all of my friends, in fact. This is the toll of my line of work. Do you want to talk about it?"
"I'm sorry," Peter sobbed, "Who are you?"
"I am no one important. Just a plumber."
"My uncle is going to die, and it is all my fault!" Peter cried.
The man gently placed a black bag on the floor and put a comforting hand on Peter's shoulder, "I know your life is in a dark place, and no one can force you to pretend otherwise, but as long as your uncle is alive and you have other people who love you, you can lean on them and push forward to make things better. Try to think what your uncle would have wanted for you to do and do what you can. I know my advice could go over your head for now, but give it time, and I am sure things will get better. Who knows? Maybe your uncle will survive."
The man got off the chair and was about to walk away, but he stopped when he heard the teenager, "Th-Thanks, plumber-guy."
The man turned to face Peter, but the lighting of the hallway kept his face hidden in shadow, "No problem, kid, and don't try to carry your burden alone. My experience taught me that no matter how much power you have, you must always accept help. If you look well enough, you might find it closer than you think. Oh, and please, call me Ben."
Peter's entire body shook when he learned the Plumber's name and only noticed Ben's bag after he left. He quickly grabbed the bag and tried to follow Ben behind the corner to return it, but he was already gone. 'Maybe I could find Ben's address in here," He opened the bag and saw several items inside. There were maps of New York with marked spots, an advanced sewing machine, and labeled chemicals that Peter recognized from class, but he paid most of his attention to the note on top.
"Thank you for keeping Gwen Stacy safe, Peter Parker. I knew I made the right call when I chose you two. I will do what I can for your uncle.
Until we meet again and you learn everything, B.T."
Several pieces started to come together, memories from the missing 12 minutes started to surface, and thoughts came over by the time he met his aunt.
Author's Notes:
I mentioned Avatar above. In this continuity, the Omniverse War shifted reality in a way that brought Xadia from Dragon Prince to Roku's world 10 years before his canon death. It changed history significantly. That war took place nearly 1,000 years ago, and Kaafuu is 100. If anyone wants to write that crossover, please talk to me.
I had to rewrite the second scene because my computer crashed before I could save it. I hope I did it well enough. It is still annoying because I put so many important details in the first draft and was forced to see that everything I wrote in an hour was erased. Fuck my laptop's battery.
If you want me to avoid this kind of inconvenience, you can help me buy a new laptop by going to my P-atreon.
I mentioned Stephen Strange in this chapter because he was never mentioned as a great doctor in movies before his own, and I thought it was a world-building mistake since his movie was planned years before its release, and making this change might fix it.
Ben finally made direct contact with one of the two main characters and he is searching for more than just Alien V. I am sorry for not showing Ben's fight against the Living Death's leader, but it was either showing all or nothing, and since the aftermath is what I care for, I chose not to show that brutal exchange.
This chapter and the last one were supposed to be one chapter, but I did not want any of my chapters to be longer than 20,000 words.
Original aliens: Elf Health, Sunburn, and Black Quill.
Elf Health-
Species: Magarockian Elf. Homeworld: Magarock.
Abilities:
Elf Health can heal any wound by touching a person or controlling plants to connect them. His hearing is slightly better than a human's thanks to his long ears and his grip is strong thanks to his second thumb. He can also drain the life out of the surrounding lifeforms around him to enhance his mana for his healing, and plant manipulation, and temporarily enchant tools with elemental magic that he cannot use himself.
Weaknesses:
He is only 140 centimeters tall and about as strong as a human on that scale. His mana reserves are low, but thanks to Ben's Anodite spark, this weakness is not as much of an issue as it used to be. His powers come from nature, so being surrounded by electronic devices like the ones you can find in a common hospital room can weaken his healing abilities.
Sunburn-
Species: Volcaptailian. Homeworld: Inferno-Hellgate.
Abilities:
Regeneration, strength, speed, durability, flight, fire breath, pyro generation, pyrokinesis, super intelligence, asexual reproduction, and general magic affinity.
Black Quill-
Species: Spike-Rat (Argit's species).
Abilities:
He is durable enough to shrug off a hit from a car, stop his heart willingly for a few minutes, and fire his black quills as a projectile that makes people fall asleep.

But before that, let's conclude Ben's first adventure in another universe.
Ben 10 does not belong to me. The Arrowverse does not belong to me. The interaction between these two franchises belongs to me and any other fanfiction writer.
Last time on the B-Arrowverse, Ben helped beat Zoom early and saved two Earths and Barry's dignity for the rest of season 2. Now, Barry has his speed and Iris can't take advantage of Barry's fragile mental state to seduce him into a toxic relationship between siblings. Ben was about to return home for the plot of Vilgax Attacks. Still, now he has to go save Laurel and Oliver's dignity for the rest of season 4 and prevent him from entering a toxic relationship with Felicity.
Wait, why does it sound so repetitive?
Author's notes:
Jokes aside, since Barry never had his weird Speed Force therapy, his speed growth stopped, and his only growth as a hero from this point on is by improving his priorities and fighting abilities rather than his raw speed. It was always my plan to do that, but ever since I watched Madvocate's videos I was convinced that Barry must improve as a hero.
In the chapter, I introduced all the members of Team Arrow. However, I couldn't find a way to naturally delve into their personalities and histories. Therefore, I will provide a brief character summary for each member in the notes below, especially for those who have never watched Arrow.
Ben's old records - part 3:
(Multiverse-A, Earth-1, Central City, S.T.A.R Labs)
Cisco ran to S.T.A.R Labs' prison cells as quickly as he could, where he found Ben removing the prisoners' powers via his Omnitrix.
"Ben!" Instead of explaining, Cisco put a hand on Ben's shoulder and shared his vision with him.
Ben didn't know who the people from the vision were, but the guy with the white hair and the evil statue was holding the others with some telekinetic power and was about to stab that hot woman with an arrow in a few minutes, and he could not stand aside when life was on the line.
Ben activated the Omnitrix, transformed into Big Chill to phase the many lairs of the building, twisted the dial to turn into Jetray, and flew to the location from Cisco's vision at ninety percent of the speed of sound.
[Caution: Energy levels are low. Recharge Mode will be cycled soon.]
The Omnitrix said.
"Then we better stop that guy quickly!" Jetray quickened his flight. Hopefully, he could buy a few minutes if he turned back into a human for a moment, but that might turn out to be overkill with how weak the white-haired man looked.
(Star City's prison.)
Oliver Queen, also known as the Green Arrow, and his team were barely able to move. Damien Darhk restored his dark statue by sacrificing a group of inmates with the help of John Diggle's brother, Andy Diggle. Andy had faked his death years ago and had been working for Darhk all along. This ritual helped Darhk regain a small portion of his lost magical powers.
"Miss Lance," Damien said menacingly and got Laurel's attention, "Nine months ago, I made your daddy a promise. I told him what I would do if he betrayed me..."
Oliver was able to break free from the weak magical hold and immediately shot an arrow at Darhk. However, the former crime lord was able to use his telekinetic magic to slow down the arrow's speed, eventually catching it when it was within arm's reach.
"Impressive," He complimented Oliver before turning back to Laurel, "Now, where was I?"
"You were just about to give up and get your ass kicked!" Everyone looked at the teenager as he activated his watch and slammed down the core before getting consumed by a bright emerald light.
Ben's arms bulked and grew yellow shells as his legs shortened and his face morphed into his torso while his eyes grew afar from one another and the Omnitrix appeared on his chest.
"Cannonbolt!" He shouted before the green light faded and rolled and drove at Damien like a speeding car, but the mage used most of his power to slow him down. He did not know what this creature was, but it was too strong for him to hold. He jumped aside and barely noticed Malcome Merelyn, his former enemy and current ally disappearing into the shadows. He hardly had enough time to kill John Diggle's brother to recharge his magic reserves when he saw a flash of green light that replaced the ball monster with a crystal person.
"Chromastone!" The alien shouted and fired an ultraviolet beam at Darhk, but the mage erected a barrier for the second time in his life since initially claiming his statue. He usually preferred using telekinesis on projectiles, but that was too much for his usual approach. The beam leaked through the barrier and burned his skin and clothes, but said barrier assured his survival until it broke.
Once the barrier broke and the beam hit him in full force, Damien Darhk fell to his knees and hands. He was out of magic energy so soon after reclaiming his lost power, and his remaining energy was wasted on starting to heal his wounds to a meaningless degree. He was at the stranger's mercy until he heard a loud beeping sound and the creature was replaced by the teenager in a flash of red light.
"No, not now!" Ben shouted, and in his moment of distraction, Darhk picked up the arrow he dropped earlier and ran at Ben with a killing intent.
Laurel tried to use her Canary Chocker to stop Darhk from killing her savior with a sonic cry. But to her shock, she learned far too late that the criminal broke it when he held her telekinetically. Ben blocked Damien's hand when he tried to impale him, but the mage kicked him under the ribs, punched him in the nose, and then impaled him with the arrow. Ben felt the sharp pain in his chest and fell to the floor, but before Damien could use him as fuel for his power, Oliver, Thea, and John filled the irritating mage with arrows and bullets, effectively killing him brutally. Just to make sure it was over, Oliver stuck an explosive arrow inside Damien's body when they left the room.
Once Team Arrow left the damaged prison with John Diggle carrying Ben and Thea carrying Damien's statue, Oliver noticed the broken arrow in Ben's chest. He was about to take their dying savior from Diggle's hands and bring him to the nearest hospital, but before he could do that, Barry showed up out of nowhere and did it for him without stopping to talk.
...
Ben was brought to the nearest hospital at high speed. Thankfully, whenever Barry relocated a person, the Speed Force in his body spread to those people as a protective aura while in motion and protected them from the backlash of fast movement and the instant stop. He told the doctors what kind of injury Ben had while keeping his communicator active and brought Caitlin to help the doctors soon after. She had managed to help him countless times before and knew Ben, so he figured she could help.
He also saved Caitlin from a slap from Iris, but he did not know at the time why his adopting sister wanted to slap his friend, and it did not matter when his other friend's life was on the line. 'How could Ben even be stabbed by an arrow?' Barry thought as Team Arrow's members entered the hospital in their civilian outfits, 'Did his watch not work or something? I knew that Damien Darhk caused the Green Arrow, Speedy, Spartan, Black Canary, and Overwatch far too much trouble and kept them alive mostly because he enjoyed beating them and did not want to end it too quickly, but Ben was not like them. Ben beat me countless times while holding back, and from what I was told, Darhk lost his powers weeks ago when his statue was shattered. Come to think about it, why didn't I ever help them? Oh, right. I was too busy with my love life and took far too long to beat each of my bad guys for the fun of the battle and never offered my help. Ben was right. I am not a great hero, and whether or not he makes it out alive, I have to improve for him.'
"Flash, what is going on?" Oliver asked, "Who is that kid?"
It was going to be a weird story to tell, especially since Barry didn't know much about Ben's past, but before Barry could explain anything, a flash of green light and a loud boom came from the surgery room.
...
A few moments earlier, Caitlin and the other doctors worked on saving Ben's life.
Unknown to them, a black-haired girl about a year older than Ben snuck into the surgery room and watched the dying form of the boy who saved her idol, the Black Canary. The girl lived on the street ever since Damien Darhk killed her parents in an unthinkable and horrifying way that would not look out of place in World War 2. The Green Arrow left her behind in one of those tanks, but the Black Canary stayed behind and freed her with a warm smile. During her four months without a home, the former promising student had learned how to sneak into hospitals and other facilities to steal whatever she needed for her survival.
The doctors did their best but failed and the patient died on the surgery table, much to Caitlin and the girl's horror. Ben slept there lifeless with closed eyes and a disturbed expression.
...
Ben was falling, no... drowning. But there was no water, no air, no life, and no light. The only indications he was drowning were the symbol of a dark triangle with five stripes coming out of one of its lines below him getting closer and closer at a slow pace and a dim light above him getting farther at a matching pace.
"You do not belong to this universe," a raspy voice came out of the approaching symbol, "You are from beyond the Source Wall. You are an entity from beyond the boundaries of my multiverse. Accept death and rise at the Darkest night."
Ben could not speak. He was too weak for that. All he could do was raise his left arm in a futile attempt to swim back up.
"NO!" The clear Entity of Death covered Ben's soul in darkness with his left hand coming last, "NO ONE DENIES DEATH! FIGHTING IS HOPELESS!"
As soon as the darkness covered the Omitrix, its red core turned green and enlightened Ben's soul and the surrounding void around him. Ben felt his body regaining its strength and swam up to the white light above him.
...
Caitlin was left alone and prepared to bring Ben to the morgue, but when she unintentionally brushed her hand over the recharging Omnitrix, it began to spark green and fired several green lightning bolts at her chest and the surrounding walls as a failsafe engulfed Ben in a flash of green light, turned him into Swampfire slower than usual, and healed his critical wound.
The Flash and Team Arrow rushed into the room and saw Ben returning to his human form in a weakened state and with a hand on his chest and Caitlin unconscious on the floor nearby with some minor burns on her clothes and a blonde stripe on her brown hair. Thea was the quickest person there without gloves, so she rushed to check on Caitlin.
"She has a pulse, but she is cold. We need to get her out of here!" She said after pressing her fingers to Caitlin's neck.
Barry relocated everyone to the Arrow Bunker save for Ben who activated the Omnitrix and turned into Goop to escape unnoticed and find his clothes. He did not know where the Bunker was, so he had to wait near the hospital until Barry set the medical equipment for Caitlin at the Bunker and relocated him to the place.
Unknown to anyone else at the time, the girl with black hair managed to sneak out via the venting system right before security entered the room.
"Barry, you have some explaining to do!" Oliver ordered, "Who is that kid, what is his deal, and how did he cheat death with an arrow in his chest?!
Explanations became as crowded with questions as in a convention, and by the end of it, Team Arrow still knew very little about Ben, who had developed a mutual dislike with Oliver. Ben didn't learn much about the members of Team Arrow either, after seeing them in their civilian clothes, it was obvious who wore each costume and Ben could guess what their roles could be.
Oliver was the leader of the team and the man in the green costume, and it looked like his default behavior with new people was aggressive. John was the man with the funny helmet and probably the second in command. Laurel was the pretty woman in the black suit, but Ben was not sure what her role was, even though she asked most of the right questions and made an effort to be nice to him. Thea was the cute girl in the red suit. Her role was even less clear than Laurel's, but she seemed most excited when Ben mentioned aliens.
One of them had to be as good with computers as Cisco because a big portion of their base was a giant computer station that would have convinced Ben it was operated by multiple people if not for the single chair assigned to that place. Their city must have had a lot of crime to monitor and none of them looked like they had any flashy powers, but he could be wrong about it.
Once Caitlin woke up and assured Barry and Ben she was okay and thanked Oliver for letting them use the Bunker, Barry carried her bride-style to S.T.A.R Labs while Ben followed as Jetray.
Once they returned to S.T.A.R Labs, Caitlin ran tests on herself and Ben. Her body temperature was a little lower than it should have been and her brown hair still had a blonde stripe, but other than that, she was okay.
Ben was physically in perfect shape, but the bio-engineer noticed a sign of repressed trauma when he talked about how insignificant the experience was and tried to change the subject by encouraging her to tell Barry how she felt for him instead of letting his annoying sister steal him.
"Ben, you died and came back to life! It is not something you can just..." She paused, "How do you usually deal with... extreme situations in your line of work?" Caitlin asked, "And please don't dodge the question."
Usually, Ben would have played it off as nothing of a big deal, but since he knew the chance he would meet Caitlin again after returning home was small, he saw no issue in opening up about it.
"To be honest, it was terrifying," Ben admitted, "I had all of that power and thought I could beat that telekinetic guy with ease, but I overestimated my understanding of my time limit," His hands started to shake, "I don't remember what happened between being stabbed and turning into Swampfire, but I don't want to go through it again. I don't want to die."
She put a hand on his shoulder and smiled, "At least you are admitting it. It is okay to open up about these things. You are the most powerful guy I know, but you are still a kid, and you should let yourself be one."
Ben shook his head, "No, I should have dealt with the situation better! I should be better than this!" He snapped, "I should have plugged Chromastone's arm into the wall or something instead of using the Omnitrix's energy to slow down my timeout and hit that bad guy when I was forced back! But no, I had to be a moron and let him kill me!"
Seeing that Ben was unwilling to accept his incompetence as a flaw he could not overcome, her only way to help was to help him improve, "If you want, we can work on a mobile monitor or something to help you track your... time limit?"
Ben looked at her for a long moment and smiled, "I have a better idea," He ran out of the room and dragged Caitlin behind him with surprising strength.
...
Once Ben explained what happened and shared his idea with the rest of the team, it took them three hours to build the machine Ben requested. They would have finished sooner, but Barry was busy spreading the word about Zoom's defeat across Earth-2, Harry was focused on continuing his search for his daughter, and Iris kept getting in the way until Ben ordered her to back off. It was mean, but she deserved it, no one else was willing to admit they were mad at her for some reason unknown to Ben, and the Omnitrix user needed a way to let off the remaining steam in his system.
If his idea works, he could potentially overcome most of his weaknesses and be better prepared for most threats.
The machine looked like a small MRI attached to a stand-alone computer with a retractable hard drive. Ben placed his left wrist inside the machine and let it scan the Omnitrix. Once the scan was complete, Ben took out the hard drive.
"Are you sure you don't want us to keep a copy of the data?" Cisco pleaded, "We can study it for you and help you master this thing."
Ben sighed. He had to admit that the idea intrigued him, but he had a good reason, "I can't let technology like this fall into the wrong hands. If anyone steals it from you, they could be prepared for someone like me or make their own prototype or something. Also, Azmuth will kill me if he learns that I shared the secrets of the Omnitrix."
Cisco smiled, "You can't blame me for trying."
"You know," Harry entered the conversation, "Had you killed Zoom instead of wasting your fancy watch's energy on curing him, maybe you would have had more time against that former crime lord you talked about."
'Why would he argue that? I wasted far more energy on curing the other prisoners than I did with...' Ben realized what it was truly about, 'Oh... Fine, old man. I will humor you.'
Ben gave Doctor Wells a fake naive smile, "Meh, I think I would have cured him either way. Zoom is a lot easier to deal with when he can't run fast and a pair of handcuffs can hold him. Do you have locks and man-size boxes in your world? Those should work."
Harry Wells sighed in annoyance at Ben's ignorance, "What I meant was that you should have killed Zoom because he is a menace and not worth keeping alive!"
Ben wanted to glare at Harry, but upon revealing his true colors, he smirked instead, "Oh, why didn't you say so? If you really wanted him dead so much, you could have killed him when I was gone, but I don't think you would have killed someone who can't fight back. Just like I won't."
"You are naive," Harry argued, "You don't know what it feels like to know someone who wants to hunt you down and torture your family."
Ben laughed at the irony, "Dude, I have dealt with those kinds of people since I was ten. I dealt with a zombie clown who manifested my nightmares and fears, a squeed warlord who tried to chop off my arm for the Omnitrix, a mad scientist who turned my grandpa into a gross slug with a broken piece of my watch, a playboy who turned the girls from his school into zombies, and a moody mutant alien who turned into a fusion of all of my aliens and fought me on a space gladiator arena. The last one became my best friend," Everyone stared at Ben in disbelief. There was no way he didn't make out at least one of those stories, "I am not naive, I am experienced. I trust people and give them second chances, and more often than not, they live up to my expectations," His expression turned more serious, "Kevin turned good because I gave him a chance. If Zoom deserves death by execution, then let the justice system in your world decide that, but now that he can't threaten you, killing him would be murder. Who knows? Maybe he could be more useful alive in the long run. No pun intended."
"Fine," Wells said coldly, "We will see how long you will hold on to that mindset."
Seeing no point in continuing the argument, Ben picked the golden egg from the table and smiled at everyone, "It was great to meet you all, but I must return home. Tell Barry that I would love to test with him new aliens if I unlock any."
He hugged and fist-bumped everyone before letting Cisco use the egg to open a portal between their worlds. Ben stepped in and was reunited with his best friend, girlfriend, and cousin, knowing that no matter what, he would always have his family and other loved ones.
... Or so he thought at the time.
...
When Barry returned to S.T.A.R Labs, everyone other than Caitlin and Harry went home, and the latter was asleep.
"What is going on, Caitlin?" Barry asked, "Where is everyone?"
"Harry sleeps downstairs, and everyone else has already gone home. I wanted to talk to you about something."
"What is it?" Barry asked.
She stepped closer to him, "Ever since you woke up from your comma, you were just as close of a friend to me as Cisco, but after Ronnie sacrificed himself to save us all, I could not blame you for his death. I didn't know why I always wanted to see things in your favor, and when I started to realize it, I tried to cover my feelings by directing them at Jay."
"Caitlin, what are you saying?" Barry asked again.
Instead of saying the obvious, Caitlin grabbed Barry's chicks and pressed her lips against his. He was surprised at first but returned the kiss soon enough. They enjoyed each other's touch for several long moments until Barry stopped moving and his skin felt colder and harder. Caitlin opened her eyes, and to her horror, he was frozen and barely breathed. Quickly, Caitlin broke the kiss.
She exhaled a cold mist at the realization, "Oh no!"
Back in Star City, Damien's wife was busy working on framing the Green Arrow for everything bad that happened today. She was surprised when the lights and phone lines in her mayor's office stopped working. Before she could ask any of her bodyguards what was going on, two of them fell lifelessly on the floor right through the main door to her office. She stared at them in shock and when she looked up, her expression turned into terror upon seeing the archer at fault.
"G-Green Arrow?" She asked fearfully.
"Not quite!" The archer stepped forward next to her window and revealed his black outfit to the outdoor light, "Your husband nearly killed the Green Arrow today."
Before she could make a move to her hidden gun, the archer threw a metallic throwing star at her throat. Magic users were too much of a physical threat to his target, and no one but him could claim Oliver Queen's life.
He stepped out of the office, revealing dozens of corpses of people loyal to the Darhk family. The only ones left barely alive but unconscious were the neutral staff members, those who planned to betray them, and a black-haired girl who planned to assassinate the mayor on her own with next to no planning and was left mostly unharmed.
The girl's name was Evelyn Sharp. Until recently, she was one of the best students in her private school, had many friends, loving parents, a few crushes, and a promising future. But it all changed four months ago when the Darhk family ruined her life.
She planned to survive on the street and look for a foster family to take her in, but after the mayor's husband killed the mysterious boy who saved her idol, she could no longer let it slide or bring herself to forgiveness, even after witnessing that the cute boy survived and Damien was claimed to be killed by the Green Arrow.
Despite her strong desire for vengeance, she stood there, paralyzed in fear as he walked past her. She could barely verbal her question even when the star-throwing killer was on his way out, "W-Who are you?"
The star-throwing killer stopped for a moment and looked back at her, "Prometheus."
Author's Notes:
I would like to thank my pal, Coherent Ramblings from Discord, for helping me improve this story. We met in the comment section of SK's Infinity War video on YouTube, and he helped me improve existing scenes ever since.
I added that Laurel's chocker was broken by Darhk because there is no way she would not have tried to use it to save her life. Honestly, everything about her death was forced and stupid. When the doctors said that she would be okay and she died shortly after a conversation with Oliver, I was certain she faked her death, but the show went out of its way to show her dead body in the next episode. Fuck season 4. Mauler could probably make a six-hour-long video just about that episode to explain why none of it worked.
I also changed Caitlin's power's origin. Now she has some of Big Chill's DNA. I stopped watching The Flash during season 3, but I have heard that every season treats Caitlin's powers and her relationship with them differently. I hope my version will make more sense when I explore it.
Speaking of Caitlin, she and Barry are together now. If you prefer WestAllan over SnowBarry, you have a show that kept hammering that relationship. I think the latter is better than the former.
Evelyn Sharp made her debut. I have big plans for her.
Anyway, we are past the "Enter the B-Arrowverse" trilogy, and the following parts will focus on Ben's growth as a hero. If you want me also to write stories for Oliver and Barry, you can start investing in my P-atreon. I will make sure to post those stories for each tier.
As for Ben's development, he is going to learn a lot from his experience fighting against Damien Darhk and whatever the scan of the Omnitrix revealed.
Spoiler: It won't be enough for Ben to unlock Master Control or make a new Omnitrix, but it will help him understand his watch better.
This chapter was released as an individual one, but it will be added later to one of the main ones for a better reading experience.
Team Arrow Members:
Oliver Queen/Green Arrow-
Oliver was a rich playboy who dated Laurel Lance for years and cheated on her with a bunch of girls to the point her forgiveness became questionable. He eventually cheated on her with her younger sister and brought her with him to a boat that sunk and spent some time on a hellish island. The experience turned him into an archer with the goal of protecting his city from corruption and external threats.
Laurel Lance/Black Canary-
Laurel is a great lawyer and Oliver's ex-girlfriend. About a year and a half after Oliver started shooting arrows at bad guys, Laurel learned that her sister survived and forgave Oliver. However, when her sister died for real, she started wearing black and honoring her sister as the Black Canary. She wears a choker on her neck that turns her screams into a focused sonic blast that can stunt people in close proximity.
John Diggle/Sparta-
John was Oliver's bodyguard ever since he returned from the island. After building some trust between them, Oliver told John his secret identity and recruited him as the first addition to Team Arrow. These two guys are so close that they usually refer to each other as brothers.
Thea Queen/Speedy-
Thea is Oliver's younger half-sister. She was trained by her evil biological father, Malcome Merelyn ever since her mother died, and once Oliver trusted her enough, he told her his secret and allowed her to join.
Felicity Smoak/Overwatch-
She used to be the team's tech person until she learned that Oliver made the right mature choice with his son from another woman without asking for her permission first. She left the team while mocking morality and people with physical disabilities.
See you next time. Amit Barabi, out.
