Rock n' Not Loud Adventures.
Chapter 690: Road Trip: A Long time friend.…

The road trip continues and everyone is just passing the time and waiting for the next destination, Lincoln and Luna are sitting next to each other and looking out the window and talking about what they have been through and the fun they had together. "This has already been an awesome Road Trip and I am so stoked to show the others back home the photos" replied Lincoln.

This makes Luna chuckle. "Same here. A shame that Jordan and Sam didn't come along, but they'll be happy and amazed at the photos we took. Niagara Falls, the White House, and of course the mountain view from Colorado. They're probably gonna be surprised about Serperior though." They see Serperior asleep near an open window.

Lincoln chuckles. "Yeah. Things are going to be a total shocker when we get back home and meet with the others. Also, I heard you have a new song made during the whole trip right?"

Luna nods. "Dang right I do. I guess I got inspired when we had that Texas Sized Lunch Meal at the diner. Dang, those buffalo wings know how to hit the spot." Just then they feel the RV stop and they look out the window and see this whole event happening and this sign that says "South West State Fair."

They then look to Amanda who stopped the RV and then she speaks. "Michelle said we should come and enjoy this place. So, how about it gang?" they all smile and nod, they like the idea.

Michelle looks to Rita and Lynnard. "Listen closely, now we all know this is a cowboy-like shindig, but don't try and embarrass yourselves. Not everyone has the…. Way you guys do it." This confuses Rita and Lynnard. Michelle does notice something. "Lynnard, take that off. Cowboys around here don't where that size."

Rita sees her husband wearing this incredibly tall cowboy hat and she takes it from him, this makes Lynnard chuckle nervously. "I'm sorry. I thought that this would be the best time for the hat."

They then get out of the RV and thankfully Amanda Bright got them a parking spot which can fit and there seems to be a lot of cars here. Just then some folks race past them and head towards this crowd. "Huh, what's the commotion going in over there?" asked Lana.

They all head over and see what is happening, they see this man and he looks very familiar to Rita Loud and Michelle Lewis and then they recognize him. "Wait, is that Brad Plaid?!"

Brad Plaid.
He's a tall dark skin man with black hair and a full beard. He wears a white cowboy hat, yellow glasses, a red shirt with blue jeans and white boots. Folks call him the Crooning Cowboy.

Brad then spots them and smiles. "Well dang. Rita Loud and Michelle Lewis, didn't think I'd see you both and here as well." He goes over and hugs both women. "So, what brings you two here?"

Michelle answers that. "Family Road Trip vacation." She then looks towards Rita. "Also how the heck do you know Brad Plaid?" Lynnard and the others also wanna know.

Rita then explains. "We met long ago in Camp when we were kids. We were the best of friends and did a lot of amazing camping stuff."

"Sure heck we did" replied Brad. "We went around and did a lot of wild stuff and we were also cabin buddies, well more like we were hogtied tight that we kinda had these crushes onto each other."

They all did not see this coming, but Lynnard didn't like hearing this. Rita then asks Michelle. "So how the heck did you know Brad?"

Michelle then explains. "We met at many parties and he shared his stories about what he's been doing and how he manages with his singing career. We started our careers at the same time and he helped give me some western style song ideas."

Brad chuckles. "A lot of mutual respect for some gal who knows how to live the singing dream. Also, I am glad you changed and walked away from whatever the heck Hollywood was doing to ya, I heard about what you've been doing lately and I am happy for ya."

Amanda is happy to know this and she feels like she can trust Brad Plaid and she looks forward to know more stories about him when he was a big help to Michelle Lewis. But they still don't notice the scornful look coming from Lynnard. He didn't like what he heard and he most certainly doesn't like Brad Plaid.

Luna then asks. "Never quite heard of you before sir. But I can tell that you're a big time musical performer here in the states. Please to meet ya sir and I know that you have some amazing songs for this whole fair right?"

Brad chuckles and nods. "Dang right I do right there little lady. The song is called "Rita likes Pita." Needed a lot of inspiration for that one and also I knew you looked familiar, Luna Lewis. The adopted daughter of Michelle, it is an honor to meet ya and hey, how's about you come and perform on stage and show the folks what musical talent you got."

Luna likes the idea, but Lynnard looks ticked off after what Brad Plaid said back there about his song and the name. But then he sees this poster of Brad Plaid and the name of the songs on it. "What the heck?!"

They all look to the Loud father. "Dad, are you alright?" asked Lynn Jr.

"No, I certainly am not!" Lynnard looks to Brad sternly. "You got some nerve to just have this whole shindig setup for us to randomly find and then come and steal my wife from me!"

Brad is confused. "Sir, what are you talking about?"

"This!" Lynnard shows them the poster with the names of his songs. "You're whole concert is for my wife!" he then reads the names of the songs. "Rita likes Pita, Rita – Round the world, All I need is Rita, Another Rita rodeo, Rita galloping away, Sunset to Sundown with Rita! These are all songs about…"

"My faithful steed Rita" replied Braid Plaid. "She likes Pita and she's been my tour partner for a long time now. Wait, you thought I was going for Rita? Sir, you have you're mind in a sidewinder of a twister to think of that."

They all remain silent. Lynnard is in total shock. "Wait… what?!"

Rita sighs. "Lynn, I know about his horse named Rita. He told me long ago and the horse is not named after me, she's named after his great grandma who was also a famous country style musician."

Lynnard now sees the truth. "Oh god. I just… I am so sorry."

Brad calms down. "What matters is that everything is now clear and water under the bridge." He then looks to the others. "You guys are going to love this fair and everything it has to offer, I'd come along and show you folks around. But I gotta make sure my trusted steed Rita is ready for the big concert. See y'all later." He then walks back to his trailer van and leaves the others be.

They all look towards Lynnard. Rita has her arms crossed and Lynnard sees that this could've gotten worse. They all head off to enjoy the fair and forget about what Lynnard said earlier. Amanda sighs in relief that Lynnard didn't go too far. 'Glad I kept my cool and things are alright. Jeez, I feel like Lynnard would've tried something to Brad if he didn't calm the air between them.'

(Later.)

Everyone had an awesome time here and enjoy the games and rides. Now they are all here at this rodeo arena and they all clap and cheer after Brad Plaid finished his musical number alongside his horse Rita. Then they see the lights turn off and then they turn on and in stage is Luna Lewis.

Luna has her acoustic guitar and she starts to strum this country-style, and everyone cheers.

There's a moment in this journey that I gave up.
My boots just couldn't walk another mile.
And that cloud above me had no silver lining.
I couldn't buy a break with my last dime.

Oh but when I saw you standing in the corner.
I'd never thought that you would have my back.
But then we rolled in like the thunder and the lightning.
Threw some punches then we had a laugh.

Just some roughed up desperados.
Hanging tough through thick and thin.
Kicking up dust wherever we go.
I can see that you and me are gonna be friends.

Who'd thought we'd wind up here together?
It's crazy that we're standing side by side.
Fighting just like two birds of a feather.
Who's gonna tell us now that we can't fly?

Just some roughed up desperados.
Hanging tough through thick and thin.
Kicking up dust wherever we go.
And I can see that you and me are gonna be friends.
To the end you and me are gonna be friends.

(Instrumental Acoustic Solo.)
Yeah, here we go.

Hey, hey you and me.
Different as different can be.
You like to rock, I like to roll.
You take the high, I'll take the low.

(Instrumental Acoustic Solo.)
Woah, woah-oh, woah-oh.

Just some roughed up desperadoes.
Hanging tough through thick and thin.
Kicking up dust wherever we go.
I can see that you and me are gonna be friends.
To the end you and me are gonna be friends.
And I can see that you and me are gonna be friends, yeah.

Everyone claps from this musical performance from Luna Lewis. Brad then goes over and he speaks. "Ladies and Gentlemen, the most talented musician from Royal Woods Michigan, Luna Lewis!" they all cheer some more and this makes Luna smile and she sees her brother cheering and this makes her happy. She doesn't know that Lori recorded the whole thing for the others to see.

Everyone else in the family never thought Luna could perform like this and this makes Michelle Lewis and Amanda Bright proud of her. Brad then shakes hands with Luna. "You have got skills Luna. I can see an amazing and dang right awesome future for you Luna Lewis."

Luna chuckles and nods. "Thanks Brad Plaid." Then she has an idea. "How about we do an encore, but duo this shindig?"

Brad chuckles. "Now you're talking my language!" They then perform the song again, but together this time and everyone claps and cheers. This is by far the best concert they have ever had, with both Brad Plaid and Luna Lewis performing.

Lynnard sees this and now he understands his mistakes. 'Dang it, Brad Plaid is not a bad person or some guy who wanted my wife this whole time, I feel like a total idiot for being all jealous. To think, I thought he meant my wife, he meant his horse the whole time. Wow I feel like a total fool.'

After everything that had happened, Lincoln is concerned about this. 'Glad that Lynnard didn't go too far, but then again I should ask our counterparts if there was an incident like this in another world and how it all went down. I have this feeling, that Lynnard would have done something stupid.'

A/N: And there we go everyone, an unexpected encounter from someone's past and so we all know what will happen but changed and all the issues dealt with. I do hope that you all enjoyed reading this new chapter everyone.
