Chapter 575: Friend's and something else…
(April 19. Lewis Residence, Olive Street. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
Michelle Lewis is in the living room and she goes through some papers on anew case. She sighs but then she looks confident and she looks into this evidence clearly and she smiles. 'Yup, I got this all wrapped up.' Then she recalls something. 'Huh, I don't think I've lost any cases before.' She does use her phone to message her friends at the firm about this.
Just then, Michelle sees her adopted son Lincoln coming down the stairs and looking ready for this day. "Hey there kiddo. Going somewhere?"
Lincoln checks his phone and then he looks to his mother. "I'm gonna go and meet with my friends at Gus' Games n' Grub. So I'll be back later in the day, mom and don't worry about a thing. I'm gonna have some lunch there too."
Michelle smiles and nods. "Alright, kiddo. Have fun."
Lincoln nods, and then he leaves the house, wears his helmet and then rides off on his bike to the arcade. Michelle starts to place the paperwork back into the briefcase, she then sees Luna coming downstairs. She then asks. "Where did Lincoln head off to mom?"
Michelle replies. "He's going to the arcade with his friends. He'll be back somewhere in the afternoon, and he took his bike there."
Luna nods. "Alright mom, I just thought he'd wanna spend some backyard time with me and…" Just then she sees this notification on her phone. "Huh, well that's weird. Says here that Great Lakes City is sunny for one minute and now it's snowy. That doesn't make any sense."
Michelle is also surprised to hear this. "Now that doesn't sound right at all." She then checks her notifications as well and she's wondering if the Allied/FutureTech outpost is also aware. She then goes through some old notifications. 'Huh, says here that the other day there was snow, heat, rain and windy weather. What the heck is going on there?'
(Gus' Games n' Grub.)
Lincoln finally makes it to the arcade. He then stops and he parks his bike and makes sure it is secure on the rack. Lincoln then sees Jordan Rosato is also here and so they share a hug and small kiss. "Glad I made it. So are the rest of our friends also here?"
Jordan nods and they go inside. "Not all of them." They see Clyde is here and so are, Stella, Leslie, Tabby, Liam, Chloe, Paige and Christina, they seem to be doing some gaming already. "I guess the others kinda have plans for the day."
Lincoln goes over and he asks. "So, where is everyone else? Is it just us?"
Clyde explains this to him. "Rusty got himself grounded after he accidentally spilled spaghetti sauce all over his dad's white tuxedo. Zach and his parents headed off to the old observatory outside of town, Lance, Trent and Artie said that they're doing their own gaming, computer gaming. This video game called, World of Tanks. The other guys just have other plans."
Leslie also answers Lincoln. "The rest of our gal pals are at the Royal Woods Mall, something about another big time sale. Though, Hope and Gretchen went off on a date and Chastity is at home with Regina and we all know why." Yeah, they recall that Regina will help take care of Chastity with her issue that she is on a cast. "Though, Delilah is busy helping her mom today."
Jordan then speaks. "Laurence and Allison couldn't come; they said something about a small talk about an incoming meeting for the gamers club."
Lincoln nods. "I understand. Alright, so now that it's just us… We do the usual; the one with the least number of tickets buys lunch." They all agree and they get to gaming. Lincoln and Jordan have their eyes on this new Tank Battle video game, and they head over and see if they can get a high score here.
(Later.)
After so many video games, the ones with the most number of tickers are Christina and Paige. The ones with the least number of tickets are Liam and Tabby. So that means they're ordering lunch which is a large pepperoni pizza and curly fries. They all enjoy the food and then Jordan speaks. "Gotta say, you two nailed it with the most tickets" replied Jordan.
Christina and Paige high five each other. "Dang right we did" replied Paige. "I am after all a gamer girl for a long time and I dang right know what I'm doing."
Christina giggles. "I just learned from my girlfriend and it was hard for me at first but then I got into the zone. Though I am also good at dancing video games which is why I am good at it."
"We could've gotten more, but I guess we weren't fast enough" replied Stella. Leslie also agrees, but they at least got some matching key chains with their tickets.
"Even though we lost, at least we had fun" replied Liam, and he shares a small kiss with Tabby, which makes her giggle and hug him.
Clyde then remembers something. "Right, Lincoln I forgot to mention this. Artie, Lance and Trent said that somewhere around the weekends they wanna multiplayer game with you in Company of Heroes 3. I don't even know about that game."
Lincoln chuckles. "Let's say it's about World War 2, and an RTS type game." They all continue to enjoy their pizza, and talk more about video gaming and stuff. Just then both Lincoln and Luna received a text message from a friend of theirs from Great Lakes City.
Ronnie Anne. Guys, we need help here! We screwed it up big time and we're in deep trouble! Please come here, and help us! We kinda angered something that you guys will be sorta surprised.
Lincoln and Jordan are wide eyed and surprised. Lincoln does get a text message from his big sister and mother that they're going to Great Lakes City!
A/N: It's nice to spend time with friends at the arcade. Now what the heck is going on at Great Lakes City and what has Ronnie Anne gotten herself into? I do hope that you all enjoyed reading this new chapter everyone.
