A big family gets even bigger
Chapter Two: Getting used to some big changes
A few hours was spent getting things in the Loud family house set up to accommodate Rita and her biological children Leni, Luna, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana, and Lily moving in. Granted, they would have done so anyway because Lynn Sr. and Rita are going to get married, but damage to Rita's house caused by a storm last night moved up the move in date. Now instead of moving in after sometime this summer after Lynn Sr.'s and Rita's wedding, Rita and her biological children are moving in right now.
The daughters of Lynn Sr., those being Lori, Luan, Lynn Jr., Lola, and Lisa, were not expecting to meet their future step-mom so soon. Lori was also not expecting said future step-mom to be the mom of her best friend at school, was not expecting said best friend to become a step-sister to her and her biological sisters. The Loud sisters weren't expecting any step-siblings period, Lynn Sr. and Rita were wanting to surprise their kids with the reveal, but the storm last night had other plans.
Granted, Lynn Sr.'s daughters were all surprised to be getting step-siblings, none of them minded. But Luan, Lynn, and Lola were taken aback by surprise when they met Rita who Lori was already familiar with. Luan, Lynn, and Lola were taken aback by surprise when they met their future step-siblings Leni, Luna, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana, and Lily. Lori was accepting of all of them from the get go, and Lisa was the same, clinging onto Lincoln specifically due to always wanting a big brother.
Luan, Lynn, and Lola weren't so sure, however, Lola especially as she has something of an animosity with Lana who she knows at school. But Lola's specific issues with Lana are more or less separate from the collective issue that Lola shares with Luan and Lynn about all of their future step-siblings, that being the fact that all of said future step-siblings, similar to their future step-mom Rita, are very much on the well fed side of things, all six of them very clearly living larger than life.
The step-siblings that the Loud daughters were gaining were all... they were all really fat.
Luan woke up in the morning following her future step-family members moved in, and at first freaked out due to the ceiling looking closer than she remembered. Then her memories caught up to her and she remembered that she now sleeps on the top bunk of a bunk bed in her bedroom. She got down and saw her future step-sister Luna sleeping on the bottom bunk. Luan, as she took note of Luna's considerable girth, was glad that Luna got the bottom bunk.
Luan stretched a bit as Luna woke up. "How's it hanging, Luan?" Luna greeted as she got up out of bed and stretched a bit as well.
"I'm... still trying to process the fact that my sisters and I are getting step-siblings," Luan said, "I still wish that dad warned us about it ahead of time."
Luna could tell that Luan was more surprised by how fat Luna and all of her biological siblings are, but knew that Luan was at least trying not to start anything in the morning. "I'm a bit surprised too," Luna replied, "I kind of wished mom had warned my siblings and I about us getting step-siblings. At least Lori and Lisa so far have been receptive, and it's pretty cute how much Lisa loves Lincoln."
"She's a kindergarten age girl who's always wanted a big brother," Luan said as she stifled a yawn. Luna remembered how Luan had made a joke about Lincoln being a big brother in regards to his obesity, but could tell this time that Luan referred to Lincoln being a big brother to Lisa by the actual meaning of the phrase. Again, Luan was clearly wanting to avoid morning drama.
Clapping her hands together, Luna said, "Anyway, let's get ready to head downstairs for breakfast."
"There had better still be some coffee by the time I get down there," Luan grumbled. Luna could understand that, she needs her morning coffee as well. As such, the two soon to be step-siblings made their way out of their now shared bedroom and downstairs for breakfast.
...
Luan was at first surprised by the sheer amount of food prepared for breakfast; she was certain that she, her siblings, and their dad would not be able to finish it all. But then Luan saw some of her other future step-siblings eating breakfast there as well. Big people like them obviously have big appetites. "So we're all going to school today, right?" Luan asked as she made her way over to the coffee pot to pour herself a mug of coffee.
"Yeah, I'll be driving all of us in Vanzilla," Lori spoke up, "Dad will be using mom's van in the meantime. I'll pick all of us up after school lets out for the day."
Luan nodded in understanding as the coffee began to work its magic. From what Luan understood, Lori goes to Royal Woods High with Leni and Luna, Luan herself and Lynn goes to Royal Woods Middle School, Lincoln, Lucy, Lola, Lana, and Lisa all go to Royal Woods Elementary, and Lily is still too young to go to school.
Lori has no issue with the obese step-siblings she and the other biological daughters of Lynn Sr. has, and Luan and Lynn don't go to school with any of them. It's Lola and Lisa who Luan is worried for, they go to school with Lincoln, Lucy, and Lana. Luan, as well as Lynn and Lola, are not entirely on board with the idea of having step-siblings that all tip the scales.
And Luan, who's still trying to wake up, wasn't sure if she and her unsure biological sisters would ever be on board with the idea.
Later that day at Royal Woods Middle School, Luan and Lynn were talking during lunch. They were having lunch with some of Lynn's friends in her various sports teams, as well as a comedian friend of Luan's, and a boy in Luan's grade named Benny, who Luan has a crush on. "I still can't believe that we have to put up with living with them," Lynn said in a tone of complaint.
Nodding in agreement, Luan remarked, "Totally! And dad told us to not mess with them! I have so many jokes to crack about them!"
Arching a curious eyebrow, one of Lynn's teammates, Margo, asked, "What's so bad about your new step-siblings?"
"Technically they aren't me and Luan's step-siblings yet," Lynn began, "But they will be when our dad and their mom get married during the up coming summer break."
"Still, what's so bad about them?" Paula, another teammate of Lynn's, asked, "Especially as you mentioned that one of your soon to be step-siblings is a boy two years younger than you, which will make him your little brother. I've always wanted a little brother, so I'm a bit jealous that you and your sister here are getting one."
Scoffing, Lynn said, "Trust me, Paula. If you ever get to see Lincoln, you'll immediately see that there is nothing little about him. Same goes for the rest of the step-siblings that me, Luan, and our sisters are going to be getting."
Benny looked a bit curious. "I'm guessing that your step-family members are all overweight?"
"That's putting it rather mildly, Benny," Luan replied, "Trust me, you'll be surprised to see them if it ever comes up."
...
Over at Royal Woods Elementary School, Lola was complaining to some of the girls in her grade about the step-siblings that she and her sisters were getting. "And worst of all, one of them is that gross pig Lana!" Lola said, "You know, the fat girl who always plays in the dirt with most of the boys in our grade?"
"For a girl who easily has to be the heaviest kid in our grade," one girl who's similar to Lola in terms of being prissy began, "That fatty is surprisingly popular with the boys in our grade. I mean, they do realize that Lana Alverson is a fatty, don't they?"
Shrugging, Lola said, "I don't know what to tell you. But yeah, my sisters and I have to share our bedrooms with Lana and her siblings now. And I have to share my room with Lana herself!"
"Eww, I am so sorry to hear that," said another prissy looking girl talking to Lola.
"Wait, how are your other sisters dealing with having fatties as step-siblings?" asked the first prissy girl.
Scowling, Lola began, "Lori is actually okay with them, no doubt because one of them is her best friend at Royal Woods High School. And Lisa is actually excited that one of them is a big brother to her and me!"
"You're getting a big brother?" asked the second prissy girl, "Huh, that actually sounds pretty cool. I've always wanted a big brother."
"Yeah I'm getting a big brother," Lola began, "But he's not just a big brother in the sense he's older than me, he's also a big brother in the sense he's super wide and round and fat! Why couldn't he be thin like a normal person?"
"Wait, he's Lana Alverson's biological older brother, right?" asked a third prissy girl, "If so then it makes more sense that he'd be fat. It must run in his side of the family."
"That's probably the only thing running in his side of the family," Lola scowled, folding her arms over her chest.
...
Over at Royal Woods High School, Lori was having lunch with her friend group, which consisted of Leni who brought Luna along, Carol Pingrey, Lori's boyfriend Bobby, Sam Sharp who is a blonde girl with a streak of blue in her hair, and the Ace twins. The first one is older twin sister Allison; fair skinned, with blonde hair in twin long pigtails, and she wore a red sherpa hat with tassels hanging from the flaps over the ears, a murky greenish baggy t-shirt, baggy jeans with torn knees, dark colored clunky shoes, and a leather coat with the arms tied around her waist, with the coat worn around her lower body so her thighs were cloaked.
The other Ace twin was Aggro, Bobby's best friend and the boyfriend of Leni. He had long platinum blonde hair with bangs framing a handsome, pretty boy face, and the rest in and single men's ponytail that draped over his back. He wore a baggy, loose fitting light gray long sleeved shirt, the wrists holes hanging loosely about his wrists rather than cling tightly to them, under a sleeveless seafoam green haori longcoat, baggy cargo pants held up with a belt, and clunky looking dark colored shoes. Despite being twins with Allison, Aggro displayed more of an Asian heritage than she did for some odd reason.
"So yeah bruh," Luna said to Lori, "Me, Leni, and our little siblings know that you and that rad little dudette Lisa are chill, but that jokester Luan, that sports nut Lynn, and that brat Lola all clearly have issues with me, Leni, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana, and Lily."
"Lori mentioned that the princess and the mudpuppy had a rivalry before they discovered they were to become part of the same clan," Allison spoke up, her tone and the air she gave off being like that of hale and hardy Vikings from the northern lands of snow and cold in Scandinavia, "I am not so certain if that could have been helped before now."
"But I don't like how they're harshing on Leni, Luna, and their little siblings," Carol said, "Something has to be done to make all of Lori's little sisters get along with their future step-siblings."
"It's just Luan, Lynn, and Lola who needs their attitudes adjusted," Lori pointed out, "Lisa is already okay with them. And it's literally the sweetest thing ever that she's super excited that Lincoln is going to be her big brother."
"Heh heh, yeah," Bobby said, "Lil' Lis is a sweet kid."
"Sounds to me like Lisa is, in a way, similar to Astrid and Anna," Aggro spoke up, sounding calmer and more collected than his older twin sister. He also gave off serene, graceful samurai vibes as opposed to the belligerent Viking vibes Allison was giving off. Arching a wry eyebrow, Aggro went on, "But the attitudes of Luan, Lynn, and Lola ought to be adjusted, and in a gradual, natural way."
"What do you mean?" Sam asked.
"If it's forced, then the girls in question may get resentful," Aggro began to explain, "We ought to ease them into being accepting of their soon to be new family."
"But what if they're mean to me or Luna or any of our younger siblings?" Leni asked, concern on her face.
"Your mom and Lori's dad can adjust things there to make sure appropriate punishments are doled out," Aggro replied. The air that Aggro gave off shifted a bit. "...Although if any of them gives any trouble to you Leni-chan, let me know," Aggro went on, "I will speak with the troublesome sister myself to set the record straight."
"You're gonna do that 'exuding killing intent' thing to scare them into not being mean to Leni, aren't you dude?" Bobby asked.
"I won't be laying a single finger on any of them," Aggro replied, "A firm look ought to be sufficient."
Snickering a bit, Bobby said, "Yeah, one of them is gonna pee themselves out of fright." Luna and Sam also snickered a bit, and Allison choked back a laugh.
Later that day after school, Lori picked up all of her sisters and soon to be step-siblings and got them all home. After they did homework, Lori gathered them all in the bedroom that she and Leni were now sharing. "Okay, we're having this little meeting to go over a few ground rules as we're going to be living together," Lori began, "Given how big of a family we will be when dad marries Leni's and her siblings' mom later this summer, we ought to plan out how we'll live together."
"Do any of you have any complaints?" Luna asked as she looked around. Right away, several hands shot up. "...That's not about how me and my biological siblings are all fat," Luna added, a dry and knowing hint in her tone.
Luan, Lynn, and Lola all lowered their raised hands, with Lola saying, "Oh come on! We aren't allowed to complain about how all of you are big fat fatties?!"
"How is there anything wrong with us being big?" Lana scowled.
Counting off of her fingers, Lola began, "Well for starters, fat is ugly. None of you are gonna get dates while you're fat."
"I told you, you little brat," Lori scowled at Lola, "Leni has a boyfriend."
Scoffing, Lola replied, "Pfft, yeah right! I very much doubt that."
"I like totes have a boyfriend, Lola," Leni said, starting to look annoyed, "Also, Luna and Linky both have girlfriends."
"Woah woah woah, hol' up a minute there," Lola said. Pointing at Luna, Lola said, "Luna here has a girlfriend? Are you kidding me?"
Lori instantly looked rather unamused with Lola, as did Luna and a few of Luna's biological siblings. "Yes, Luna has a girlfriend," Lori replied, "That's literally not a problem, is it?"
"Of course it is!" Lola replied, "I mean, do you not see how fat Luna is? The girl she's dating does know that there are thinner girls out there, doesn't she?"
The siblings who looked unamused with Lola lightened up a lot towards her. "Wait, that's why you're objecting to Luna having a girlfriend?" Lori asked.
"Of course it is," Lola replied, "Why, what did you think my objection about it was?"
Briskly shaking her head, Lori said, "It's literally not important right now. Anyway, it's clear that some of us here aren't entirely happy with how we're all going to become siblings later this summer."
"Uhh, it's just Luan, Lynn, and Lola who's not happy with us," Lucy pointed out, "Well, Lana's not happy with Lola, but that's a different story."
"I think that the first rule that we ought to lay down be that we have to get to know one another," Lori said, "Most of us aren't familiar with each other, so spending time to get to know one another will literally be a big help in getting us to all be on the same page."
"That's fair," Lincoln remarked.
...
The next hour or so was spent with the Loud sisters and the Alverson siblings getting to know one another. "Wait a minute," Lola said while pointing at Lincoln, "You're dating the younger sister of Lori's boyfriend Bobby?"
Nodding once, Lincoln replied, "Yes, I'm dating Ronnie Anne Santiago."
"She... she isn't blind, is she?" Lola asked, looking skeptical.
"No, Ronnie Anne can see just fine," Lincoln replied, his tone and expression a bit dry towards Lola, "Also, yes Ronnie Anne is fully aware that I'm rather fat. It doesn't bother her, especially as she had been the one to confess to me and ask me out."
"And what's this about Leni having a boyfriend?" Luan asked.
"She's dating my Bobby Boo-Boo Bear's best friend Aggro Ace," Lori explained, then added to het biological sisters, "You girls do remember Aggro, don't you?"
"That bishoen samurai pretty boy?!" Luan practically exclaimed, "He's Leni's boyfriend?!"
Nodding once, Leni said, "Yeah huh! He isn't bothered at all by how fat I am. He actually likes me for the kind of person I am."
"So what kind of hobbies do you guys have?" Lisa asked.
Lori sighed a breath of relief. "Finally, someone asked a literally serious question to get the ball rolling on us bonding as siblings."
Gesturing to herself, Leni said, "I'm, like, totes into fashion, and I'm even into making clothing."
"Me and my band mates rock out all the time," Luna spoke up.
"Video games, comics, hanging out with my friends," Lincoln replied.
"I write poetry to express the black sorrow from deep within my soul," Lucy said.
"Working with animals, wrestling outside in the dirt and mud, occasional dumpster diving," Lana replied, "And I'm not sure what sort of hobbies Lily has."
Scoffing, Lola said, "Why am I not surprised that you do dumpster diving?"
"Is that a problem, pinky?" Lana scowled back.
"Okay, okay, settle down you two," Lori ordered. After Lola and Lana settled down, Lori said, "That just now reminds me of another rule. No teasing each other over our hobbies and interests. So long as we keep our business away from each other, I say no harm no foul."
"Umm, how can Luna and I keep our interests separate when we're in the same room and store some of our stuff there?" Luan asked.
"Alright, no forcing our hobbies onto one another," Lori amended, "Also, Lana you're going to have to regularly take baths."
"HA!" Lola laughed at Lana while pointing at her.
"What did I say about teasing each other?" Lori snapped, making Lola back down a bit. With things getting back on track, Lori said, "Moving right along, we're going to have to adjust our time tables so that whatever we have scheduled won't at least clash. Some things may be on the same date, but so long as they don't clash or make each other impossible without taking one of them down, then we can literally work with that."
Holding up a hand, Luna said, "I regularly do jam sessions with my band."
"I do various things for my comedy work," Luan said.
"I do sports all the time," Lynn pointed out.
"I have poetry recitals," Lucy remarked.
"There's my pageants," Lola said
"I often have lectures at the University," Lisa replied.
Leni looked a bit confused. "The University? Wait, how old are you?"
"Lisa is four, close to five," Lori answered, "But she is some sort of super hyper-genius."
Leni and her biological siblings all looked at Lisa in amazement. "Wow, I wasn't expecting one of the new sisters I was getting to be incredibly smart," Lincoln remarked, "That's pretty great, Lisa."
Lisa, surprised to be praised by Lincoln, blushed a bit and turned away. "Umm, it's nothing that great, I assure you. It's the usual fare for me."
Clapping her hands together, Lori said, "Okay, we're going to have to get down dates for all of our important stuff, and adjust things as need be. Anything else?"
Briskly shaking her head, Luna said, "Nah, guv. That sounds good."
The Loud sisters and the Alverson siblings then spent some more time getting to know one another, at least until they were called for dinner. Luan, Lynn, and Lola were once again taken aback by the sheer amount of food that they saw, but then they remembered that their soon to be step-siblings and soon to be step-mom are all rather large people.
It would explain why, despite how much food was made, none of it was left when dinner ended.
The next morning, Lincoln was up early so he figured he had time to use the bathroom. He went in, did what he had to do, and then brushed his teeth. Afterwards, Lincoln saw that there was a fairly advanced scale in the bathroom, so he decided to use it to see his weight. He saw that it said that his weight was a shade over four-hundred pounds.
"Yeah, that's about right," Lincoln said to himself, not really bothered by the considerable weight that he had going. After he was done, he turned to leave the bathroom, but stopped short when the door opened and Lynn walked in.
"Gaahh!" Lynn cried, "Didn't you lock the door?!"
"I did!" Lincoln cried back, surprised someone walked in on him in the bathroom even though he was decent, "I turned the little locking nob in the door handle and everything!"
"You're supposed to put the barbell up against the door after closing it," Lynn said as she pointed to a one-handed barbell laying on the floor in the bathroom. It weighed ten pounds.
"Is that why that's there?" Lincoln asked, "Also why is it necessary? Can't the door lock be fixed or something?"
"We can't afford it right now," Lynn replied, "Now get out, I gotta download a brownload."
"Charming," Lincoln said dryly as he moved to leave the bathroom. However, with Lynn in the doorway and given Lincoln's width, Lynn had to back up to let the very obese boy leave.
Lynn scowled in annoyance as she closed the bathroom door behind her and put the barbell in place.
...
"In Linky's defense, he had no idea about the bathroom door lock," Leni said as she and the others all got ready to go to school later in the morning.
"Linky?" Luan repeated questioningly.
"That's Leni's nickname for Lincoln," Lori explained, "And this incident reminds me." To Leni and Leni's biological siblings, Lori said, "There's a list of things broken in the house that my sisters and I ought to warn you all about, as well as the work around we came up with for them."
"Like the barbell weight to put in front of the bathroom door," Lincoln said.
Lori nodded in confirmation. "There's a lot more, but we literally don't have the time to go over them as we got school today."
"Thank goodness summer break is coming up," Lola said, "We get to relax, have fun-"
"-Go to the wedding of your dad and our mom," Lana pointed out.
Clapping her hands together, Lori said, "That's right! The wedding will be during summer break! This is literally so exciting!" Within short order, Lori got everyone into Vanzilla before taking them all to school for the day.
During a free period at Royal Woods High School, Luna was alone in the library with her girlfriend Sam, the blonde haired girl with a streak of blue in her hair. "Wait, that little brat in the pink dress thinks you and I shouldn't be rockin' together because you're big?" Sam asked, looking pissed.
Nodding once, Luna said, "Lola thinks that you can find a 'thinner girl' than me."
Scoffing, Sam said, "Well at least she ain't homophobic. And you being big ain't a bother to me." Sam leaned in and kissed Luna on the lips. "Besides, it's as that one old song says," Sam went on, a look of knowing amusement in her tone and expression, "Fat bottomed girls make the rockin' world go 'round." Sam then gave Luna's considerably rear a good smack.
"Hey, easy there luv," Luna replied, chuckling a bit before she returned the kiss.
...
During lunch period at Royal Woods Elementary School, Lincoln was eating in the cafeteria with his friends Clyde, Rusty, Liam, and Zach. "The bathroom at your new places used a weight put up against the door as a lock?" Clyde asked, "But why not just get the lock fixed and use that? Why go through all of the hassle?"
Shrugging, Lincoln said, "I don't know what to tell you, Clyde. But what I do know is that while Lori and Lisa are nice, Luan, Lynn, and Lola aren't all that receptive to me and my sisters."
"You said some of your soon to be step-sisters go to school here?" Liam asked.
Lincoln nodded in the affirmative. "Lola and Lisa do, yes. They're here with me, Lucy, and Lana."
"Speaking of Lucy, I got it she's fairly popular with the boys in her grade," Rusty remarked, "A lot of them, including my little brother Rocky, all got crushes on Lucy. I think only Astrid's little brother Argent is the only boy in Lucy's grade who doesn't have a crush on her, or any girl for that matter."
Lincoln was about to speak up, but Zach said, "Uh oh, Chandler and his goons are coming over here." Lincoln and his friends then had the displeasure of meeting Chandler McCann, a rather popular boy at Royal Woods Elementary School but one who Lincoln and his friends weren't all that fond of because of how he's a bit of a jerk. As per usual, Chandler was flanked by his friends, who were more akin to being his goons.
"What are you talking about, Lard-coln?" said Chandler's goon in the red hoodie.
Surprisingly enough, Chandler smacked said goon on the shoulder. "Dude, knock it off," Chandler scolded, "I said we had to drop the name calling against Lincoln and his friends, remember?"
"You... guys are being nice to us now," Rusty said, his dry look and tone showing he wasn't really believing it.
"It's because you guys are friendly with Astrid Ace," said another of Chandler's goons. This goon was somewhat fat, but nowhere near as big as Lincoln.
"Speaking of, we heard you mention her," Chandler began, "What were you saying?"
"We were talking about how Astrid's little brother Argent is the only boy in his grade not interested in dating anyone period," Zach explained.
"But he is friends with my little brother Rocky, and is also planning to help Rocky get with his crush," Rusty went on.
Chandler smirked in amusement. "Ah, little kid love. Umm, just curious, but who is it that your little brother has a crush on?"
"Lincoln's little sister Lucy," Clyde replied.
Looking curious, Chandler's goon in the red hoodie asked, "Ain't she the goth girl that every boy in her grade is crushing on?"
"So your little brother is prepared to face some competition to get with a girl he likes," Chandler said to Rusty, "I can legit actually respect that." After confirming that Lincoln and his friends weren't actually talking about Astrid Ace, Chandler and his goons took off.
After Chandler and his goons were out of earshot, Lincoln remarked, "Why would Chandler be interested in hearing about Astrid?"
"She's that special needs girl that Ronnie Anne, Stella, and Sid keeps with them, right?" Rusty asked, "My bet is that Chandler plans to use Astrid to score brownie points with the teachers by showing them he's being nice and considerate to a special needs girl."
Zach chuckled a bit. "If Chandler plans to use Astrid," Zach began, "Then the girls who keep her with them will not take kindly to it. Ronnie Anne especially, she'll flatten Chandler if she catches wind that Chandler wants to use Astrid to look good in front of the teachers."
Lincoln, as he looked off in the direction that Chandler and his goons left in, had a look of consideration on his face. "...I'm not too sure if things are as easy as you're thinking them to be, guys," Lincoln remarked before horfing down a slice of pizza.
END, CHAPTER TWO
Author's notes;
This chapter shows the Loud sisters getting used to their soon to be step-siblings some more. But it's not easy, especially as Luan, Lynn, and Lola prove resistant to the idea of having siblings who are rather big. And said siblings also have to get used to the quirks of the Loud family residence, such as the cheap fixes that are supposed to be temporary measures but had become permanent more or less.
A number of other characters are also introduced, including some OCs of mine from previous Loud House stories I've written. Said OCs are mostly unchanged, although I did alter the character Astrid to better keep Lincoln's friends suspicious of Chandler being interested in her. What exactly is it that Chandler has planned for Astrid Ace? Also, how will the Loud sisters get used to their soon to be step-siblings?
That all and more will be covered as this story progresses. Until then, take care.
